Just over a month ago, we promised we would come back for the new entry in the "Final Destination" Franchise. So here we are fulfilling our commitment with ninety minutes devoted to discussing gruesome means of dying and re-ranking the whole set of films. Jay Cluitt steps in as host, returning to the show in his former capacity. Lisa Leaheey, Aaron Neuwirth, and Matthew Simpson are also here. Richard was out this week (although he does make a surprise appearance in a couple of spots) and Jay invited Justin Gott to fill the void. Does "Bloodlines" have what it takes to be a real destination event? Is Lisa ever going to get over that thing in the first film that bugs her so much? Will Matthew be able to point out all the Vancouver locations in the movie? Can Jay come up with either a game or an exit question? Will Justin lose all credibility by preferring the 4th film to the 2nd? and finally, what does Aaron have on Jeffrey Reddick. the creator of the Franchise, to get him to come back to his own podcast? Listen, Download, Stream and find out.
Why do people both celebrating 1st birthdays? How brown was the 80's exactly? Don't you hate it when you can't think of the perfect gift to get somebody? Is this movie worth a second viewing? To help answer these questions and more, Jason welcomes his Fit for a King co-host and friend Lisa Leaheey as they tell you WHY "The Game" is a hella rad movie from the '90s.Check out all of our podcasts on our home website www.rabbitholepodcasts.comSupport us by giving us a dollar! patreon.com/rabbitholepodsQuestions, comments, concerns? Jason Soto and Lisa Leaheey, who never done a horror movie podcast together before, team up to discuss films Stephen King have highly praised, either in interviews, in magazine articles, or his book Danse Macabre. On this debut episode, Jason and Lisa discuss Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, how everything is possibly Tippi Hedren's fault, and how light and shadow have an effect on horror.Fit for a King was co-created by Jason Soto and Lackey. The start of the new year reminds us to look back on what we saw in the previous 12 months. Rishabh Vashishtha, Tony Coogan, Thomas Stoneham Judge and The Vern all gathered to share their Top Ten Films for 2024. We also have lists from Aaron Neuwirth, Mark Hofmeyer, Lisa Leaheey, and Matthew Simpson, in spite of the fact they could not be on the show in person. The guests who were live had almost forty different films to recommend, and there were some Pineapple Kiosk moments. We got a little rushed at the end, but you will want to hear what everyone had to say. Happy New Year and Happy Next Year!
This week we check in on the Robert Eggers film that opened on Christmas Day to see if it sucked. "Nosferatu" is a remake of the classic Silent film, which was an unauthorized version of "Dracula". It was remade once before in 1979 by Werner Herzog, so this is the second time a controversial visualist has taken on the film. The LAMB's resident horror critic these days is Lisa Leaheey, and she was quick to sign up for the show. Matthew Poirier of the "Direct to Video Connoisseur" returns for his second episode and longtime LAMB Sean Homrig jumps in with just a days notice to join the show. We discuss the look of the film, the performances and spend an inordinate amount of time critiquing possession visualizations. The Exit Question of the week involves vampire movies so if you want to sink your teeth into the episode, don't wait...listen now.
OK, we did not get to this on opening weekend, but there seems to be enough interest to sustain the theatrical run for a couple of weeks. 'For The Rest Of Your Lives, There Will Be Before You Listen And There Will Be After. Lambs, Verbally Acknowledge Please.' Heretic is the A24 Psychological Horror film starring Hugh Grant, cast against type as an intellectually curious potential convert to the Mormon faith. We have two sisters and two elders joining the show this week in the spirit of the Later Day Saints which comes in for examination.Lisa Leaheey loves her horror movies, will she love this one? Nicole Ayers is not a horror fan, will she choose door number 2? James Wilson is also not a horror fan, but he may be susceptible to Mr. Reed's lecture. Howard Casner is a skeptic of everything, and we will find out if he is too jaded to enjoy the film. We do a little criticism of casting against type in other films and suggest some non-traditional casting of our own. So as Monty Hall might ask, which door do you choose?
Lisa Leaheey returns to the show to discuss the 1988 horror comedy High Spirits, featuring the likes of Steve Guttenberg, Daryl Hannah, Peter O'Toole, Beverly D'Angelo, Liam Neeson, Jennifer Tilly, Peter Galagher, and more!
The Alien Franchise has been around for forty-five years now, and there have been ups and downs along the way. Fede Alverez, the director of the "Evil Dead" re-boot and "Don't Breathe" has been given the reins and our cast this week is ready to chime in on his work. We go spoiler free for the first half hour, but if you have seen the original film, there is nothing here that will surprise you. Heather Baxendale-Walsh, Lisa Leaheey and Damien Riley are all horror mavens, so Alvarez starts with a loaded deck, come find out how well we thought he played his hand.
Episode Notes Rob and Lisa Leaheey of RabbitHolePodcasts are back with John and Zeus in the park as Simon gives new instructions.
What's the big deal about Roswell, New Mexico? What is there to do and see? Do you really need backstory from the bad guys in order to enjoy a movie? Is Judd Hirsch the best comic relief? Did this movie warn us about Randy Quaid? To help answer these questions and more, Jason welcomes his friend and podcast co-host Lisa Leaheey as they tell you WHY "Independence Day" is a hella rad movie from the '90s.

Johnny Carson rival Jack Delroy hosts a syndicated talk show 'Night Owls' that has long been a trusted companion to insomniacs around the country. Desperate to turn his fortunes around, Jack plans a Halloween special like no other, unaware he is about to unleash evil into the living rooms of America.
Jason Soto and Lisa Leaheey hosted a show called Between the Scares, covering Blumhouse Production films. But Jason got sick of the non-horror films that kept coming up. So now Jason and Lisa introduce The Gift of Horror! Everything will be explained in this intro episode. Enjoy!
This week, the Lambcast tries trapping a new movie in our containment vault, the fifth film in the Ghostbusters Franchise (although some acknowledge only 4), "Frozen Empire". The new cast of Ghostbusters from "Afterlife" return to NYC and take up the family business. The Legacy Cast shows up in a variety of spots to check all the boxes, and having insured a PG-13 rating, we get a Supernatural Adventure film, which may be straying a bit from the roots of the franchise. Does it work, should you spend your money to see it, will you laugh? You will just have to listen to Matt Hudson, Lisa Leaheey and Todd Liebenow to find out.
Matthew Vaughn's newest spy franchise comes under scrutiny this week on the LAMBcast. Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Henry Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson, Catherine O'Hara, Bryan Cranston, and a host of others, what could go wrong? Surprisingly, quite a bit, although the film also had it's defenders on the show this week. Lisa Leaheey, Howard Casner, James Wilson and Amanda Kirkham take on espionage, plot twists, wonky CGI and assorted other issues in this week's episode.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN NEW EPISODE: POP ART 110 says CURSES, FOILED AGAIN: Join me and my annual Halloween guest Lisa Leaheey as we talk The Ring and Curse of the Demon. “Seven days.” Don't you hate when this happens? You're going about your day. Minding your own business. You watch a video and the phone rings telling you, you only have seven days to live. Or, someone secretly passes you a curse in runes giving you only a certain amount of time before you die. It is just so annoying…Sounds like it's time for Episode 110 of Pop Art, where we find the pop culture in art and the art in pop culture. It's the podcast where my guest chooses a movie from popular culture, and I'll select a film from the more art/classic/indie/foreign side of cinema with a connection to it. And this episode is my yearly Halloween one. For this episode, I am happy to welcome back film lover and horror enthusiast, and my annual guest for my Halloween episode, Lisa Leaheey, who has chosen as her film the American remake of the Japanese horror film The Ring, while I have chosen Jacques Tournier's Night of the Demon, both films about an object that if passed to someone only gives that person a certain amount of time to live. And in this episode, we answer such questions as: Which is better, suggesting a monster or showing it? What are the differences between the Japanese and American version of The Ring? What is the difference between the English and American release of Night of the Demon? What was the original ending to The Ring and what happened to it? Why is Night of the Demon called Curse of the Demon in the US? What did screenwriter Charles Bennett say he would do to the producer of Night of the Demon if he saw him in his driveway? Where do The film The Burbs, Rocky Horror Picture Show and Rear Window fit in? What does the name Samara reference? Check out Lisa's podcasting at The Rabbit Hole Podcast, including the new Rabbit Hole Book Club section https://rabbitholepodcasts.com/pictures-and-conversations/ And Lisa and Jason Soto's podcast Between the Scares where they are covering every Blumhouse film https://rabbitholepodcasts.com/between-the-scares/ Check out my blog at https://howardcasner.wordpress.com/ My books, More Rantings and Ravings of a Screenplay Reader, The Starving Artists and Other Stories and The Five Corporations and One True Religion can be found at https://www.amazon.com/s?k=howard+casner&ref=nb_sb_noss Be sure to like, follow or comment on my podcast. It's the podcast where my guest chooses a movie from popular culture, and I'll select a film from the more art/classic/indie side of cinema with a connection to it. For this episode, I am happy to welcome back as my guest, teacher by day, horror aficionado by night, Lisa Leaheey, who has chosen as her selection The Exorcism of Emily Rose, while I have chosen the German film Requiem, both films, not just about exorcisms, but about exorcisms based on the same real life incident. Lisa has been my guest twice before. So be sure to check out Episode 59 where we talked Memento and Spellbound, and her first time on for Halloween, Episode 67, where we talked Hell House, LLC and Man Bites Dog. What's a Lola and would you want to be one? What urban legend has sprung up relating to …Emily Rose? What is true horror? Who are Campbell Scott's parents? What is it about exorcisms anyway? Would Jason's life be different if he had seen Empire Records as a teenager? Would be have only want to work in record stores? Which character from the movie do you identify as? It ain't easy being a new filmmaker these days. First there's the money. Then you have to assemble a crew. Of course, you need actors. And if all that's not difficult enough, then you have demons trying to kill you or a serial killer who gets you involved in his gleeful crime spree. What's an artist to do? Sounds like it's time for Episode 67 of Pop Art, the podcast where my guest chooses a movie from popular culture, and I'll select a film from the more art/classic/indie side of cinema with a connection to it. And in this episode, we answer such questions as: What is found footage film and how has the meaning changed? Why should first time filmmakers watch Man Bites Dog? Clowns, why is it always clowns? What is one of the faults often found in found footage films, especially in Man Bites Dog? What are the literary precedents of found footage films? What does the phrase Man Bites Dog mean? What is the first found footage film? Where was Man Bites Dog banned? 2C or not 2C? What rating did Man Bites Dog get and how did it end up in Blockbusters? What really happened in the basement? The October MOTM is a Sci-Fi/Horror film championed by Lisa LeaHeey. She hosts as the five of us search for a solution to the problem of what to watch on streaming this week.
Mark and Lisa Leaheey (of the SibList Podcast) discuss the 2018 horror film Hereditary. Directed by Ari Aster, and starring Toni Collette, Alex Wolff, Gabriel Byrne, and Milly Shapiro, the movie focuses on what happens when a demon worshipping cult wants to make some extra money. In this episode, they talk about chocolate, insane scams, and the beautiful production design.
The Movie of the Month winner was "The Orphanage" championed by Lisa LeaHeey but Tropical Storm/Hurricane Henri kept her from hosting so Howard Casner took over hosting duties and did a great job covering this film for the Lambcast. Is it really a horror film, the guests have their doubts and Lisa may wish even more that she had been on the show.

MEMORIES OF MURDER: “I have a condition”. You forget your keys? No big deal. You forget where you parked your car? It's okay, you'll find it. You forget your phone? Well, not good, but still… It happens. But forget whether you murdered someone or not and just watch as all hell breaks loose. And in this episode we answer such questions as: Is the structure of Memento a gimmick or a conceit? What six Hitchcock films was Leo G. Carroll in? What is the major plot hole in Memento?
