Our card this week is Owachige Osceola, the 8 of Diamonds from Oklahoma.Recently divorced and living on her own in a new city, 27-year-old Owachige Osceola's life was in a season of transition before she was killed in the bedroom of her Norman, Oklahoma apartment in September 2013. While the medical examiner who performed her autopsy concluded her cause and manner of death were “undetermined,” a detective who remains on the case today insists a killer has been allowed to walk free for nearly a decade. Please join us in writing a letter to the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office calling for a formal independent review of the methodology used during Owachige's autopsy. Episode 52 Habitat loss through Economic and Urban development

While economic development and community growth is generally good for the population, the local economy, politicians, and quality of life in general, there is always a cost to nature and wildlife. These losses remind of how important it is to manage and protect the land and wildlife where you can. Also it is a reminder that habitat loss creates scarcity, which drives up the value in recreational land. Florida is arguably one of the clearest examples of urban encroachment destroying wildlife habitat, particularly of the Osceola turkey.

They are a highly desired bird by turkey hunters as they are limited in range and the harvest could mark a completed wild turkey grand slam.  Today, we are joined by Mike Tussey and Bo Meador to talk about the birds, the landscapes they inhabit, the challenges they face and things hunters should consider if they chose to head to Florida to chase these birds.
