The doctors and nurses, accustomed to such emergencies, immediately sprang into action. However, one doctor noticed something odd about her before being able to share it with the team, a sudden loud thud shook the trauma room. More thuds followed, accompanied by screams, leading to the evacuation of the entire hospital. Her mysterious condition would leave 23 people injured, five hospitalized, and herself dead with no solid explanation at that point. She would later be known as the Toxic Lady or Toxic Woman. That's not for the reason you may be thinking though, there are just a lot of residents of the graveyard with the last name Blood, including Able Blood, who can be seen wandering the gravestones after dark. He's not alone, either, because people have spotted his wife Betsy, a young boy, and other ghostly figures wandering the cemetery at night. Some have even caught these figures on camera. Is this a real haunting, or just bad flash photography? And Brittany shares the story of Gloria Ramirez, whom the media dubbed The Toxic Lady after her death in 1994. Several hospital workers became ill after exposure to her body and blood. She was suffering from cervical cancer at the time, and while the cause of her death is known, the cause of the illness suffered by those who treated her at the time of her passing is a mystery. 1994, On February 19th, 1994, a woman was admitted to the Riverside General Hospital in Moreno Valley, California. She was extremely confused and suffering from tachycardia and abnormal breathing. The staff injected the woman, Gloria Ramirez, with multiple drugs to sedate her and oddly, many noticed a oily sheen on her skin and a strange odor coming from her mouth. While this began as a standard hospital visit, things quickly spiraled out of control when the medical staff noticed strange, manila-colored particles floating in her blood. Soon thereafter, several of the nurses attending Ramirez began to suffer from various, strange symptoms such as light-headedness, confusion, and some even fainted. Many hospital workers became gravely ill themselves after being exposed to her body and blood. The details of this case are absolutely wild. This week, Drewby and Yergy review the mysterious case of Gloria Ramirez, a cervical cancer victim, whose brief but dramatic emergency room stay  in Riverside, California and untimely death baffled the medical community in the mid 90's due to medical workers falling very ill just by being in the presence of her and her body, prompting concern that her body had turned into a chemical weapon, and this was further highlighted as a possibility due to her alleged self-administration of Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Later the county health department attempted to make the claim that the whole thing was simply a case of mass hysteria, as many of the workers who fell ill were women. The case was further complicated due to multiple autopsies with the majority done after her body had already badly decomposed. Several conspiracy theories have since arisen.
