World War II: the story of the Nazis' stolen treasures. At the heart of the episode is Adolf Hitler's deep obsession with art and culture — not to preserve it, but to control and possess it. The boys explore how the Nazi regime, under Hitler's direction, looted priceless artwork, religious relics, gold, and personal heirlooms from museums, private collections, and entire cities across occupied Europe. From the grand halls of the Louvre to the hidden cathedrals of Poland, no place was safe from their relentless plundering. But the story doesn't stop with the theft. Sean, Jorge, and Eric also spotlight the daring mission of the Monuments Men — a group of historians, curators, and soldiers turned art detectives, tasked with tracking down and recovering the cultural heritage stolen during the war. Their adventures took them deep into war zones, booby-trapped salt mines, and secret underground bunkers, all while the clock was ticking to preserve history before it was destroyed forever. The boys also take a detour into the more bizarre side of the Nazi ideology — their fixation with the occult. From sending expeditions in search of ancient relics to hunting for the Holy Grail itself, the Nazis weren't just after material wealth — they were on a quest for mystical power and symbolic dominance. As always, the conversation leads to bigger questions. Where is all that stolen treasure now? How much remains hidden in forgotten tunnels, lake beds, or locked away in private hands? And are some of these legends — like the lost Nazi gold train or the Amber Room — real, or just wartime myth?Packed with wild stories, eerie conspiracies, and historical intrigue, this episode peels back the layers of one of history's most compelling treasure hunts. Whether you're a history buff, a conspiracy theorist, or just in it for the weird stuff, “Nazis' Stolen Treasures” is a journey through war, mystery, and the dark obsession that shaped one of history's most infamous regimes.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/theconspiracypodcastWebsite: www.theconspiracypodcast.com

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys start the show off by talking about how Christmas is coming and how Cam's daughter has finished her degree at Texas A&M University. Then, a central Texas witness watches a feral hog shapeshift into a Sasquatch. Next, a person has a possible Glimmer Man sighting in their home. Was it a Glimmer Man or something else like a ghost? After the break, Kyle brings up some long lost treasure in Europe from after World War II. In March 1945, the Nazis set off from the city of Goerlitz with a convoy of artwork from a museum and treasures from Russia's Amber Room. Legend has it that as the war drew to a close, a local miner saw a group of German soldiers move the train, filled with valuables, through the Owl Mountains, near the town of Walbrzych. Since dubbed the “Nazi gold train,” the locomotive has never been located and has become a topic of interest for both historians and treasure hunters. For some, it's become an obsession, with many attempts being made to find it over the years. Some have warned the train likely doesn't contain any gold or treasures. Instead, they posit that it was loaded with chemical agents the Nazis were transporting to Berlin in a final attempt to stop the Soviet Red Army. Dangerous nerve agents, such as Tabun, are theorized to be among the chemicals onboard. No one really knows! All of this and more on this installment of Expanded Perspectives! The Random Intellectual

The Amber Room was a real life treasure room. A gift from Prussia to Russia in 1716, the room boasted some 6 tons of amber, semi-precious stones, and gold inlay. Unfortunately, war is destructive, and war with Nazis can be extremely destructive, and during WWII the room was lost. But lost where? Destroyed, on a wrecked ship at the bottom of the ocean, or locked away in some secret catacombs somewhere. On this week's episode, we'll tell you about the history of the Amber Room and the different theories of what actually happened to it.

She then tells a story from Vegas when she saw a group of very drunk girls fall out of a limo with a White Castle Crave Case.NAZI AMBER ROOM: As a follow up to Episode 39, Kathleen finishes her research on Hitler’s Amber Room and passes the info of the “8th Wonder of the World” onto her Termites. BILL MAHER VS CRYPTOCURRENCY: Kathleen laughs at the recent ill-informed comments from Bill Maher regarding Cryptocurrency. He referred to all of it as “Easter bunny cartoon cash” and compared it to Tinkerbell from Peter Pan: “Its power is based solely on enough children believing in it.” Right, Bill…Kathleen is absolutely enamored with all things crypto and is THRILLED to join “the children” in their quest for global domination.ANOTHER FLYING CAR CONCEPT GOES TO MARKET: Kathleen continues following her childhood desire to own a flying car by reporting on the new ASKA. Startup company NFT, Inc. opened a showroom to reveal the concept car, requiring $5,000 to secure your own model when production is finished. There will only be a limited run of 1,500 cars manufactured offered at a price of $789,000, which are scheduled to roll out in 2026. BRITNEY SPEARS TO ADDRESS THE COURT: As a follow-up to Episode 29 where Kathleen discussed the #FreeBritney movement, she excitedly reads an article announcing that Britney Spears has agreed to address the court on June 23rd regarding her conservatorship. PICASSO PAINTING PRESENTED FOR AUCTION: Kathleen reads a bulletin from Christie's Auction House that Picasso’s “Woman Sitting Near A Window” is being offered for auction in May 2021. The piece is forecasted to fetch $55 million, but Kathleen places a bet that the winning bid will exceed $100 million. CANNIBALISTIC SETTLERS: Kathleen discusses the premise of the documentary “The Donner Party,” which chronicles the pilgrimage of the Joseph Donner family and 11 other families who made the journey over the Sierra Nevada mountain range to California in 1846. The story outlines the issues they faced making the journey, including a massive snowstorm that stopped the wagon train for weeks and the resulting cannibalism when they ran out of food. Kathleen is fascinated by the details, and points out that even over 100 years ago there were assholes in every society that “showed out,” but back then the asset was a double-decker wagon. TINY TURKISH CASTLE VILLAGE: Kathleen reads an article describing the Turkish town of Burj Al Babas, which was constructed for foreign buyers and broke ground in 2014. When Turkey’s economy fell the project halted, and today 530 castles remain empty. Kathleen then names all of the Disney princesses that she knows to have lived in similar castles, which amounts to 2.VERY BAD KINGS: Kathleen discusses the concept of the new American Kings when she shares with the Termites a recent article about Dodgers’ owner Mark Walter buying up massive amounts of land in the Crested Butte, Colorado area and then another article detailing the land transactions that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has made gobbling up incremental property around his Hawaiian compound. A MISSOURI WHITE BISON: Kathleen is thrilled to read an article about a rare white bison who has made his home in Missouri’s Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. The park named him “Takoda“ after the Sioux reference for ‘friend to everyone.’”WHAT TO WATCH THIS WEEK: Kathleen recommends watching “The Donner Party” on Amazon Prime and “Mare of Eastown” on HBO Max.

Whilst some pieces of stolen art have been returned to their rightful owners, many are still missing, including a priceless collection of stunning amber panels, known as the Amber Room - perhaps the most valuable items ever looted by the fascist regime. The room was called the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’ and one of Russia’s most treasured artifacts. The Amber Room was an ornate chamber decorated in custom crafted amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors and located in the Catherine Palace in Tsarke Selo near St. Petersburg. It was a gift from Prussia to Russia in the 18th century in order to promote an alliance against Sweden. It was stolen from the palace by Nazi Germany in WWII and moved to Konigsberg Castle in Germany, where some say it was destroyed by either Soviet or RAF bombing raids which destroyed most of that city. Konigberg was annexed by Russia and is called Kaliningrad. today. Many theories exist regarding the fate of the Amber Room and we cover them here, as well as provide additional research on Swedish and Argentine financing of the Nazi war machine, the sinking of the Wilhelm Gusloff with nearly 9,000 refugees onboard (and possibly the Amber Room in crates), and German theft of many priceless pieces of art, some of which were recovered by the "Monuments Men", and others which are still missing. When you think of amber you probably think of the casing that held the dinosaur DNA in Jurassic Park or maybe even jewelry. But you probably do not associate amber with building material. Amber was incredibly popular in Europe, especially in Russia and as a gift to Peter the Great, the Amber Room was constructed using several tons of the gemstone. During Operation Barbarosa the room was looted by Nazis, dismantled and sent to Germany, where just before the war's end, it disappeared. The story of the Amber Room is shrouded in curses, conspiracies and rumor. In this episode, Robin introduces us to the lost 8th Wonder of the World.  Learn more about your ad choices. Born in Springfield, IL and raised in Ottawa, Maurice spent his formative years balancing football and music. Encouraged to ttade rapping for singing by his big sister Kelsey Vaz the siblings formed RetroFuture and garnered buzz and radio support from Hot 89.9 north of the border. Accepted to Choate Rosemary Hall Prep School in Connecticut to play football, the prospective All-American running back made a pivotal choice.“I always thought football was the thing,” he admits. “Once I got to Connecticut, I started feeling these weird, mixed emotions. Music was tugging on my heart. I was falling out of love with the game, but I was making some of the best tracks of my life at night after practice. It ended up changing the landscape for me. We all know of there's been warring over the years between Germany and Russia. But did you know that there's another war between these two countries over one specific artifact born in the 1700's? Imagine a room constructed almost entirely of amber, from floor to ceiling, with gold foil, mirrors, murals on the ceiling, statues of angels, and more. This was constructed in Berlin, Prussia, moved outside of St. Petersburg, pilfered by the Nazis in their invasion of Russia, and then - well, and then we don't know... This week on The What If? BHL: Next –Rhelin T sits down with singer Maurice Moore as he talks about his latest EP Destination Unknown! @Mauricemoore An artist whose material alternates between romantic and carefree modes with easygoing flair, Maurice Moore is among a crop of Canadians with a like-minded approach to contemporary R&B. The singer and songwriter, originally from Springfield, Illinois and raised in Ottawa, spent his early years developing his athletic and musical talents. While attending prep school in Connecticut, his interest in football waned as he made late-hour strides with music. Once he opted to devote all his energy to writing and singing, he connected with a Toronto-based management company and in 2015 started releasing tracks such as "Ready" and "Sex U Back 2 Sleep." Moore's singles multiplied during 2016 and 2017, a period highlighted by "The Loudest Silence." By the end of the latter year, Moore released The Amber Room, a full-length he classified as a mixtape. Also a frequent collaborator, Moore has supported recordings by the likes of Mickey Shiloh, Paces, and JYDN. Famously declared the eighth wonder of the world, the Amber Room was a set of incredibly ornate amber wall panels that may be worth over $500 million dollars today. German forces stole the panels from Russia in October, 1941 and Hitler himself ordered the panels moved in January, 1945. But little is known about their whereabouts since. Were they stowed aboard a sunken Nazi ship? Hidden in a salt mine? Or destroyed by the Russians themselves?

Steve and James and Face2Face host David Peck talk about their new history television series Hunting Nazi treasures, Hitler’s obsession with art, complicity, the nature of evil, trading art for lives and the greatest heist in history. Synopsis The new investigative series Hunting Nazi Treasure takes viewers on an epic search across four continents to locate valuable objects and artwork missing since the Second World War and return them to their rightful owners. The series chronicles the systematic looting by the Nazis, and provides new insights into the motivations of top Nazi leaders like Hitler and Goering, and explores how artwork and cultural artifacts are targets during times of war. With hundreds of thousands of stolen treasures still missing to this day, including a painting by Italian master Raphael estimated to be worth upwards of $100 million, a $2 billion hoard of stolen Italian gold, and the legendary Amber Room from the Catherine Palace in Russia, the search into these historically significant “cold cases” is comprised by a team of present-day investigators. The team is led by Robert Edsel, author of the New York Times #1 bestselling book-turned-movie The Monuments Men, and Founder and Chairman of the Monuments Men Foundation for the Preservation of Art, investigative journalist Conor Woodman, Second World War historian James Holland, along with top experts on the Nazi era. The hunt takes the team across 14 countries; searching for items hidden in caves, castles, museums, and even under water while gaining access to Nazi dossiers, archives, and declassified intelligence reports. As the series unfolds, the viewer is introduced to Hitler’s grand plan to become “the curator of the German people” atop one of the world’s most spectacular art collections, and the desperate last-act by the Nazis to hide an unimaginable trove of gold, most likely in the Bavarian Alps. ---------- For more information about David Peck's podcasting, writing and public speaking please visit his site here or check out the site of his podcast on film, social change and much more.
