Exciting news I have started season 3 of the Victorious Living Counseling podcast. It's been at least 6 to 8 months since I have made the last podcast. God has taught me much in this time away and I have been in prayer and thinking about topics for the next season. I hope and pray you find the season to be a blessing. I would greatly appreciate if you would share it with friends, family, and on your social media profiles for anyone who may also benefit and be encouraged through the podcast. The podcast focuses much on what I do in the office with clients, which stems from personal lessons that God has taught me and is still teaching me, and from the knowledge acquired as a counselor working with clients experiencing every day struggles, pain, fear, grief, and difficulties. May you be blessed! “In today's episode we talk about a lesson God has taught me and a reminder in my understanding that in my own power, I will mess up and fall short. A recent struggle has reminded me of my desperate need for Jesus in every situation. We need Jesus and his guidance and wisdom to help us to best manage difficult, life circumstances. This episode reveals how a personal life trial, taught me profound lessons from God and the scripture that helped me to manage life‘s most difficult situations. If you're walking through a difficult situation, a financial struggle, loss of a loved one, or facing a scary unknown battle, life is hard and we need God. I pray this episode will be beneficial, encouraging, challenging, and uplifting for you.” Blessings, Crystal --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/victoriousliving/message
Today's podcast is titled “Never Lose Your Soul”. We find our true identity and our complete fulfillment in an intimate and loving relationship with God and His son Jesus! However, we live in a world that is constantly working overtime to pull us away from the fulfiller of our needs, Jesus Christ himself. As we struggle through life, circumstances, people, and material goods often threaten to steal our joy, and cause us to feel like we've lost our soul. In today's podcast, I, discuss what it means to lose your soul, and ultimately how to find your soul, your peace of mind, your joy, and your true fulfillment. In addition, we discuss how to find self-worth through our identity in Christ. We discuss how to become who God created us to be. The answer to overcoming anxiety, depression, trauma, life difficulties, and all things that bring us pain, is to remain close to Jesus, the shepherd. When we are in “right” relationship with God, the father, we are in our true self, and working towards becoming who God created us to be. Sadly, many of us are operating out of a false self, and this leads to a complete lack of peace, joy, and the losing of our very souls. This episode, points all listeners to Jesus and provides answers, techniques, and necessary life skills to finding victory in our lives.
Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and I love how it brings family together. I especially, love how it is a time for us to pause and thank God for the blessings that he's given. As, I sat with my family, and while we are personally walking through a difficult trial. I was reminded of the importance of learning to find joy in the midst of suffering. The holidays are wonderful, but tend to bring up a lot of unwanted emotions for many people, especially when you're currently walking through a difficult time. In this podcast, I discuss how to find joy in the midst of suffering from a Biblical point of you. In addition, I share with the listeners what I would share with clients who are struggling during the holidays from a psychological and spiritual perspective. In today's podcast I also speak about cognitive behavioral therapy, and how to use these techniques to overcome negative thoughts, anxiety, depression, trauma, and how to replace them with God's truth and His love and purpose for you. Blessings & Happy Thanksgiving! Crystal Ridlon, LPC, LMHC
