When your wellness routine starts to feel like another item on your to-do list, when fasting, cold plunges, and supplement stacks feel more depleting than nourishing…it might be time to reassess what “healing” really means. In this episode, I sit down with Jeff Krasno, founder of Commune and author of Good Stress, to reframe how we think about stress, balance, and true vitality. We explore how chronic stress impacts your biology, why “healthy” habits sometimes backfire, and how practices like breathwork, stillness, and even discomfort can reconnect you to your body and build lasting resilience. If you've ever felt like you're doing it all and still feeling off, this conversation is a grounding reminder that healing isn't about intensity, it's about alignment. Jeff Krasno is the co-founder and CEO of Commune, a wellness platform, he is also the author of Good Stress: The Health Benefits of Doing Hard Things, in which he shares protocols he used to reverse his diabetes and improve his health at age 50. Living With Intention: The 3-Month Exercise That Can Change Your Life What would you do differently if you only had three months left to live? In this powerful solo episode, Doc Danny shares the mindset shift that changed the course of his career—and his life. It's not just about business strategy—it's about living with urgency, clarity, and purpose.
Many fantasize about their relationship with God and imagine reigning with Christ, assuming they're among the overcomers without truly counting the cost. Our hubris leads us to fantasize about our relationship with Jesus in His coming Kingdom. Our fellowship is particularly prone to imagining ourselves as overcomers. This lesson injects some reality into our understanding of scripture.
On this episode of The Jon Gordon Podcast, I'm joined by my good friend Antonio Neves for one of the most honest and powerful conversations we've had on the show. Antonio's story is incredibly moving, he opens up about losing his home in the Pacific Palisades fires and how that one experience changed everything for his family. We talk openly about grief, resilience, and what it's like to face some of life's toughest moments and, most importantly, how to find hope and new beginnings on the other side. Antonio shares how he and his family are rebuilding not just a home, but a sense of purpose and possibility and the lessons he's learned while leading his young kids through adversity. We get into his new book, The One Day Method, and why focusing on one great day at a time can be an absolute game-changer, especially when life throws you a curveball. This is a real conversation about overcoming, recommitting to what matters, and learning how to see the gift, even in pain. If you're going through a challenging season, I promise this episode will encourage you and remind you that the best is yet to come. About Antonio, Antonio Neves is the author of The 1-Day Method, an award-winning journalist, and internationally renowned speaker. His previous book, "Stop Living on Autopilot," helped countless readers reclaim control of their lives and rediscover purpose. After a successful career with major networks including NBC, PBS, and MTV Networks Antonio transitioned to helping individuals and organizations achieve breakthrough results through his coaching and speaking engagements. He has spoken at leading companies and conferences worldwide. Drawing from his experience as a former NCAA Division I athlete and Ivy League graduate, Antonio combines discipline with deep insight to help others reach their full potential. His approach has been featured on the NBC Today Show, Inc., and Forbes.. In 2025, Antonio faced his greatest challenge when California wildfires destroyed his family's home and possessions. Applying the very principles he teaches, he has been rebuilding his life alongside his wife and twins, proving that his methods work even in life's most difficult circumstances. A superpower or a vehicle for failure? How is your mindset serving you? Whether you realise it or not, your mind is a superpower. It is so powerful, but when not used properly, it can either lead you to success or work to your detriment. You are a powerful creator and you create everything you see in your external reality in your mind first. You either create the thing you want or the thing you are most afraid of. It all comes down to your beliefs and the thoughts you focus on. 98% of the population don't realise the power of their own mind, this is why most people stay stuck in life or can't create what they want. You see, even the latter is created by the power of your mind! When you believe something is not possible, you create exactly that. You manifest the impossibility using the power of your mind, without realising it. Now that you know this, what can you create for yourself? Stop Living for the Lord Duane Lawernce The conversation centers around a profound and controversial premise: the idea that the conventional approach of "living for the Lord" may inadvertently obstruct believers from experiencing true freedom in Christ. He introduces Duane Lawrence, an influential figure in Christian ministry and the author of "Stop Living for the Lord." Through his work, Duane seeks to liberate individuals from the burdensome cycle of religious performance that often leaves them feeling inadequate. He emphasizes the radical shift in identity that occurs upon being born again, arguing that believers are not defined by their sins but rather by their new creation in Christ. This episode promises to challenge listeners' perspectives on faith, urging them to embrace a relationship with God that transcends traditional expectations and performance-based acceptance.Takeaways: Pastor Bob Thibodeau emphasizes the importance of understanding one's identity in Christ, as it fundamentally transforms the believer's relationship with God and their perception of sin. Duane Lawrence's book, 'Stop Living for the Lord,' challenges traditional religious mindsets and encourages believers to shift from a performance-based faith to a relationship-based faith with God. The discussion reveals that many Christians struggle with the concept of being accepted by God based on their actions rather than their inherent identity as beloved children of God. Through personal testimonies, it becomes evident that discovering true freedom in Christ allows individuals to break free from the cycle of guilt and religious performance, leading to a more fulfilling spiritual life. The podcast underscores that the message of salvation is not about what one does for God, but rather about allowing God to work through the believer, emphasizing rest instead of striving in faith. Listeners are encouraged to study scripture deeply rather than just reading it, fostering a more profound understanding of God's design and intentions for their lives. Zephaniah calls the Israelites together not to celebrate them but to give them a harsh label. He warns them of the consequences are coming if they do not turn back to God. As they have been claiming to worship God while worshiping idols, Zephaniah tells them to stop living this way and turn back to God. Zephaniah says not only to stop and turn away but to seek and turn towards the one who loves you. He is calling the children of God back to say that the only way you can hide and be concealed from the wrath and judgment of God is to place our faith in the concealment of Jesus Christ and what He has done. In the same way, we must quit living for ourselves and seek God. Once we realize we are concealed in Him, it compels us to live differently. It's a response. In this solo episode, Ryan shares the core message of his TEDx talk titled "Stop Living a Life You Didn't Choose," exploring the concept of the "status trap," an invisible prison of societal expectations that diverts people from their true paths. He introduces three principles to overcome the status trap: viewing fear as a prompt for action, granting oneself permission to deviate from others' expectations, and understanding that focus dictates personal growth. Ryan emphasizes that while gaining status isn't inherently bad, it's vital to ensure it doesn't compromise personal integrity or harm key aspects of one's life. Takeaways: • Recognize and escape the 'status trap' that holds you back • Embrace your unique path • Cultivate focus on your craft and aspirations Sound Bites: • "We make so many bad decisions when we're operating from a position of status." • "Every day, millions of people wake up, go to jobs they hate, pursue goals they didn't choose, all because they're caught in what I call the status trap, the invisible prison of social expectations." • "Prioritizing status is the path of comfort. At 23, I had the six-figure engineering job everyone dreamed of, but I felt totally lost.As a Cuban immigrant who came to America with a single mom making $12,000 a year, I thought landing a prestigious position at Exxon Mobil would be my ultimate success story. On paper, I had made it - but internally, I was struggling with a deep sense of disconnection between society's definition of success and what my soul was calling me to do.The journey from that first engineering job to becoming a self-mastery coach wasn't linear or immediate. It took years of side hustles, certifications, and gradually aligning my corporate roles with my true purpose of creating impact. What I discovered is that purpose isn't about the 'how.' It's about the 'why' that drives everything you do.In this episode, I share my personal transformation from survival mode to purposeful living, including the exact framework I used to discover my true calling.Whether you're feeling unfulfilled in your current role or searching for deeper meaning in your work, you'll learn how to align your career with your soul's purpose without sacrificing stability. In today's episode, we're chatting about:• Why external success often leads to internal emptiness• How to identify your true purpose beyond societal expectations• The framework for transitioning from survival to purpose-driven work• Why your 'how' should remain flexible while your 'why' stays constant• Practical steps for aligning your career with your soul's callingYanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically.Schedule a free clarity call with Yanet to identify what's holding you back and develop an action plan to go after what you want unapologetically: https://www.ybcoaching.com/coachingSee coaching client testimonials here: https://www.ybcoaching.com/testimonialsMentioned in this episode:Aligned CoachingYanet helps high-achieving women gain the clarity, confidence, and courage to stop holding themselves back so they can go after what they want unapologetically.
