This week's show is, sadly, the final show of All About the Mouse. We have a nice long show in store for you, though! Paul Barrie from Window to the Magic is joining us again to recap the news items that occurred throughout the Disney company during November and December 2023. Together, we'll recap sad events like the passing of Dick Nunis and exciting news announcements, like the return of Fantasmic! at Disneyland. We'll also talk about World Celebration opening at Epcot, the materialization of the Hat Box Ghost at the Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World, and a whole lot more! To cap off our final show, Paul will read some messages emailed in by you, the listeners, remembering all of the fun and excitement we've had here at All About the Mouse over the last 16 years!
On this week's show, Bryce Yelverton and Sarah Evans join me again to reveal the winner of Walt Disney World Background Music Madness. I know we begin this bracket-style tournament to find out the #1 piece of music audio in all of Walt Disney World way back in March of 2023, and it has taken us a long time to get to this point. We are finally ready to reveal the winner that you, the listeners, voted for! Then, we'll revisit our Disney predictions for 2023 to see which ones came true and which ones didn't.
On this week's show, I have a major announcement to make at the very top. Then, I'll take you on an in-depth look at the Disney castles from the theme parks around the world. As most of you know, Walt Disney started the legacy of the Disney company's iconic castle logo way back in 1955 when he opened Disneyland with Sleeping Beauty castle placed directly in the main view of guests as they walked into his park. This week, I'll take you a little further into that castle with some stories and fun facts and then we'll visit all of the other castles around the world and talk about their inspirations, the attractions within them, which one is the tallest, and which one almost wasn't even a castle at all.
On this week's show, we're back from a little bit of an unexpected break. Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic joins me again to recap the news items from around the Disney company that occurred throughout the months of September and October. We'll touch on all of the highlights that were announced at Destination D! We'll also look at some of the highlights from the 100th anniversary celebration of the Walt Disney Company as well as talk about the new limited-time nighttime entertainment offering at Disneyland with a distinct New Orleans flare, the easing of park hopping restrictions in Walt Disney World, the opening of Journey of Water in Epcot, an incident that occurred involving wildlife roaming around Magic Kingdom park, and much more!
On this week's show, I'm very excited to bring back author Dave Bossert to talk about his new upcoming book "Tim Burton's The Nighmare Before Christmas Visual Companion". Thirty years ago, Dave had the distinction of earning a credit on this fan-favorite holiday classic as an effects animator. Years later, he decided to interview Tim Burton, Danny Elfman, Henry Selick, and many other talented individuals who all worked together to take "The Nightmare Before Christmas" from the Christmas poem written by Tim Burton to the classic film it is today. After recording hours of interviews, Dave set out to compile their stories into a single book that would come to be described as the definitive telling of the behind the scenes making of "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas".
On this week's show, we're taking an in-depth look at the 2001 hit Disney Pixar film "Monsters, Inc." starring the voice talents of Billy Crystal and John Goodman. This light-hearted comedy about monsters who scare children in order to collect their screams to power their city Monstropolis, started out years earlier as a discussion topic over lunch between several Pixar filmmakers during the making of Toy Story. This blue sky idea went through multiple iterations before finally settling on the film we know today with James P. Sullivan and Mike Wazowski. It went on to spawn a prequel ("Monsters University"), an animated short, a Disney+ television series, several theme park attractions in Disney parks around the world, and more! Bryce Yelverton joins me for a look at Mosters, Inc!
On this week's show, we are finally getting around to revealing the results of Round 4 of WDW Background Music Madness where our final 4 Walt Disney World background music loops competed against each other for the top spot and you, the listeners, voted for your favorite in each match. Bryce Yelverton and Sara Evans join me again as we announce the winners between the Epcot Entrance loop circa 2016 and Tomorrowland and The Jungle Cruise queue audio and Main Street U.S.A. The results from these matches will reveal our final 2 pieces of Walt Disney World audio that will go head to head against each other for the championship! Then, later in the show, we will play the each of the 2 final remaining pieces of background audio in their entirety for you to enjoy before you cast your final vote!
On this week's show, we're going to be talking about the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. Established on October 1, 2009 and founded by Walt Disney's daughter Diane Disney Miller, the 40,000 square foot museum features historical pieces and artifacts that tell the story of Walt Disney, the man, from his ancestral beginnings until his death on December 15, 1966. My good friend Rick from the United States of Geekdom joins me to talk about his recent trip to the Presidio of San Francisco, the site of the Walt Disney Family Museum and some of the highlights for him and his family including the multi-plane camera, early animation drawings, his Oscar for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and much more!
On this week's show, Bryce Yelverton and Sarah Evans are back as we announce the results of Round 3 of our Walt Disney World Background Music Madness bracket tournament. We have 3 matchups with Magic Kingdom loops going up against each other. Which ones will come out on top and go to our Round 4 - Final Four?? We'll let you know and then let you know how you can vote in the next round of matches!
On this week's show, Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic joins me again to recap new items that occurred during the month of May from all around the Disney company. We'll touch on some changes that were announced for vacation planning in Walt Disney World, the announcement of the closure of the Galactic Starcruiser Star Wars-themed hotel, a new "Elemental" short being added to the beginning of World of Color at Disney California Adventure, more details around the new DVC tower at the Disneyland hotel, and much more!
On this week's show, we have a bit of a mash-up show! We'll kick things off with another contribution by our good friend, loyal listener, and Disney music enthusiast Sam Polkinghorne. His latest contribution is a mix of traditional classic and modern day classic Disney songs all set to an energetic Eurobeat. Then, we'll switch gears to a completely different feel with one of my favorite extinct park audio loops from Disney's Animal Kingdom featuring acoustic Disney songs. Whether you're looking for some Disney music to work out to or some Disney music to relax to, we got you covered!

You all voted for your favorite Walt Disney World background music loops from the parks and resorts in this continuing bracket tournament, and we will reveal the 8 winners out of the 16 contenders that went into Round 2. There were more than a couple of surprises in this round, as things are starting to heat up. Later, we'll reveal the Round 3 matchups as our Elite Eight pair up to make things even more interesting.
On this week's show, we're going to be addressing 2 topics in one show. I'm joined by long-time Disney fan husband and wife duo Leo and Wallis. We'll start by talking about Genie+ and I'll give my own personal review from my experience with Genie+. Then, we'll discuss the recent announcement Disney made about the closing of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. We'll touch on what we think may have contributed to the demise, what we think it might become, and much more!
On this week's show, I finally get around to recapping a couple of recent trips my family and I took to Walt Disney World. Both trips contained some brand new experiences for us that I've been wanting to talk about and share with you here on the show. Some of the highlights were: staying at a Disney resort that we'd never stayed at before, getting to ride Tron: Light Cycle Run, experiencing an enjoyable new dining experience or two, and much more!
On this week's show, Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic joins me again to cover all of the news items that occurred throughout the month of April in then Disney company. We have a lot to talk about in relation to the theme parks this month. We'll recap the latest mishap with the Maleficent dragon at Disneyland, the opening of Tron in Walt Disney World, the latest details around Tiana's Bayou Adventure, a particular spooky teaser that Disney released celebrating halfway to Halloween, and much more!

On this week's show, it's time again to look back at the previous month and the news items that occurred throughout the Disney company, theme parks, and more with our good from Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic. Together, we'll recap the March 2023 news which included some fun and exciting information about the Epcot transformation, Annual Passholder previews and the soft opening of Tron: Light Cycle Run at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom park, the grand re-opening of Toon Town at Disneyland, a lucky fan traveled around the world hitting up all 12 Disney parks and experiencing every open attraction in just 12 days, and a whole lot more.
On this week's show, we're bringing back our March Madness bracket tournament where you, the listeners, get to vote on your favorite Disney matchup. This year, we're doing background music loops from the Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts. The background music that you hear at the parks and resorts serves a very specific purpose, which is to complete the scene of the land, ride, attraction, or resort that you're in. I think it's safe to say that the parks and resorts wouldn't be as magical as they are if it weren't for these unique background music loops. As Disney fans, we've come to appreciate this music so much that we even find ways to listen to them when we're not in Walt Disney World. We have whittled the choices down to 32 background music loops that we'll match up against each other in this year's bracket tournament, and Bryce Yelverton and Sara Evans are here to help me introduce the matches and talk about these very special and unique pieces of audio.
On this week's show, I'm showcasing the 19 thrill rides in all of Walt Disney World's 4 major theme parks. Many people know that Disney has some of the best family attractions found in any theme park around the world, but sometimes I feel like not enough credit is given to Disney's many thrill rides. In fact, I've routinely heard my friends refer to Disney parks as being "for kids" or "where you want to go if you want to ride kiddie rides". Walt Disney World has some pretty thrilling attractions with some fascinating facts behind the rides and amazing story and details attached to them. Together, we'll take a look at all 19 of these attractions in Walt Disney World and what makes each of them so unique and special in their own way.
A bit of a first for PHUK. We're introducing Dave Moyle who has produced an entire mix of his own productions, which we've never done before on this podcast. It is therefore a very unique journey and adds to the variety of talent we offer and showcase on this podcast.Hugely inspired by music during his childhood, Dave became captivated by the sounds around him, ranging from various genres and movie soundtracks. He would often attempt to mix two tapes or even vinyl with tapes to create a unique blend of music. As he grew older, he frequented local events and clubs, where he was enamored by the DJs spinning and mixing tunes. This led him to purchase a set of turntables and he has been mixing ever since, covering all genres of music including 80s, 90s, Dance, House & Trance.Dave drew inspiration from well-known DJs like Armin Van Burren, Above & Beyond, Judge Jules, and Pete Tong, whom he admired for their work on their Radio 1 shows. He honed his skills in music production during his twenties, learning and perfecting his own style and sound. Dave has been a warm-up DJ for well-known artists such as Lange, Scott Bond, Solerstone, Dave Pearce, Manuel la Saux and Lee Haslem. He has also played on radio stations such as Sunderland's Spark FM, Unite Radio based in County Durham, and AATM in London. Dave has had numerous releases on record labels like Neostatics Sounds, Affiliate, Green Nights Records, and Blank Capsule Records, with many unreleased tracks on his Soundcloud account. His current sound is very unique and original, featuring nods to the 80s and 90s with melodic progressions and movie-inspired tranced-out beats. Sit back and enjoy something a little different.Tracklist: Dave Moyle - Thunderstorm Dave Moyle - Tequila Sunrise Dave Moyle - Enforcer Dave Moyle - Invasion Dave Moyle - Muscle Car Dave Moyle - Farewell Dance Dave Moyle - New Horizons Dave Moyle - Neon Touch Dave Moyle - Sirens Dave Moyle - Miami Vice Dave Moyle - Shout Dave Moyle - Trip To Mars (Unreleased Mix) Dave Moyle - Titan Moon Dave Moyle - Tengoku (Unreleased Mix) Three Drives On A Vinyl - Greece 2000 - (Dave Moyle Remix) Find more about Dave Moyle on his Soundcloud account

On this week's show, I'm joined again by Bryce Yelverton and Sarah Evans from our Predictions Panel as we look to make our 2023 Disney Predictions. It seems, in many ways, we are on the verge of potentially seeing some rather significant changes and announcements to come over the next year. With the recent return of Bob Iger as CEO, the 100th year anniversary celebration of the Disney company launching, a slew of new entertainment and attractions slated to open up all over the world, and more, we expect to see more major headlines from Disney in 2023. We'll call out some of our predictions of things we think may come to fruition in the coming year and then revisit those predictions next year to see just how close we came to being right.
Aatm santosh ka vardan by ganga prasaad sharma narrated by Rani Ratta.
On this weeks show, our Predictions Panel returns to revisit our 2022 Disney predictions. Bryce Yelverton and Sarah Evans join me as we look back at the things we all predicted would happen throughout the Disney company including theme parks, movies, Broadway, and more. We'll see who was right on the money and who was way, way off!
On this week's show, our good friend and long-time loyal listener from New Zealand, Sam Polkinghorn, is guest hosting the show to introduce some of his favorite Disney park audio. This special New Year edition park audio is sure to kick start your 2023 the right way whether you're longing for the nostalgia of Tomorrowland, the need a pick-me-up from the Muppet Courtyard, or just wanting to Paint the Night in your mind with a little help from the Disneyland Resort. All of this and more is ahead for you right here on the All About the Mouse Disney podcast!
On this week's show, I'm bringing you Disney audio from Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort hotel. Consider this my gift to you! Our good friend and loyal listener, Sam Polkinghorne, who follows the show from all the way over in New Zealand, has contributed much of the audio that's been shared on the show in recent years. He's an avid appreciator of Disney music, and he knows how much we love it as well. He asked me recently what my favorite audio from Walt Disney World was, and I told him the music from Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge. So, he sent me over some unique music that sets the scene in those WDW locations perfectly. On this week's show, and on Christmas Day, I thought it would be nice to share this with you as well. So, kick back and enjoy this extra long episode of great music from Walt Disney World!
On this week's show, Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic is back for another What's News episode where we look back at all of the news items that occurred throughout the Disney company in the month of November. We will, of course, spend some time talking about the shake-up that we saw at the top of the company with Bob Iger returning as CEO and what that might mean for the Walt Disney Company and Disney fans alike. Then we'll touch on some of the news items we heard about like the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Holiday audio overlay, more details on the re-opening of Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland, "Hey Disney" debuting in the first Walt Disney World resort hotel, and much more!
On this week's show, we're bringing you some special Disney classic and theme park audio care of our loyal listener and audio archivist Sam Polkinghorne. First, we start the show off with a super long mashup of music from a Disney attraction that has been in the news quite a bit over the last several years - The Main Street Electrical Parade. Sam has contributed various renditions of Baroque Hoedown for us to enjoy this week in a mashup to end all mashups. If you're a fan of the Main Street Electrical Parade and Baroque Hoedown, you won't want to miss this. After that, Sam hosts another great mashup of classic Disney songs by DJ Tron that will keep you moving through your day in classic Disney style.
On this week's show, we're not just talking about The Mouse on All About the Mouse. We're also going to talk about another well-known resort with multiple theme parks right down the street from Disney....Universal Studios. As Disney fans, many of us are partial to Disney theme parks and the Disney brand itself, but many of us (myself included) also really enjoy Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, City Walk, and the Universal property hotels. I'm joined this week by Adria and Carey from our Disney Conversation Starters panel to talk about some of the differences between Disney and Universal, what what makes both of them unique and enjoyable vacation destinations, and what you might want to know before deciding on which one to visit on your next trip to Florida.
On this week's show, Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic is back to cover all of the news and events that occurred throughout the Disney company in the month of October. To name just a few of the topics we'll talk about this week: Magic Band Plus debuts at Disneyland, Imagineer Bob Weiss retires, Disney Genie+ experiences a price increase and switches to a tiered pricing structure, Disney announces new nighttime entertainment and other exciting ways to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Disney company out at Disneyland, and much more!
On this week's show, we're getting festive with a special Halloween episode of All About the Mouse. It's no secret that The Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite attractions in all of Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Not only does it have some of the best effects that have stood the test of time, but it has a story that resonates throughout the mansion that has become both legend and lore at the same time. Behind the scenes, the creation of The Haunted Mansion has an equally mesmerizing story that, believe it or not, goes back to before Walt's Disneyland park was ever built. This week, I'd like to share some of these stories with you as well as some attraction audio from Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion and Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring Jack Skellington and the rest of the gang from Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas.
On this week's show, it's time again to take a look back at the news items that occurred throughout the Disney company in the previous month. Paul Barrie from A Window to the Magic joins me again to look back at the month of September and recap the newsworthy items that occurred throughout the world of Disney movies, theme parks, and more. And, let's see, there was a little thing called the D23 Expo that took place last month in the city of Anaheim, CA that produced quite a bit of news in many different divisions of the Disney company. So, we'll be unwrapping those announcements, especially the ones that had the internet ablaze from a Disney Parks perspective. We'll also talk about some notable news from Disneyland Paris, the effects in Florida from Hurricane Ian, and more!
On this week's show, I'll be sharing some more audio from the summer convention circuit recorded and contributed to us by our good friend Blake Reilly from The Blake and Sal Show. This time, we have audio from the Chicago Cominc and Entertainment Expo (C2E2). This audio features a panel titled "Creating Star Wars: Playing in a Galaxy Far, Far Away" with Dave Sheidt, Jeffrey Brown, Joe Corroney, Katie Cook, and Ramon Perez. This is a collection of authors and artists who have worked together to bring characters in the Star Wars universe to life in books and graphic novels. They'll talk about what it's like to work in the Star Wars universe and create stories without disturbing an already well-established balance in the force.

Paul Barrie from A Window To the Magic joins me again for another What's News episode where we talk about all of the major (and minor) news happenings from around the Walt Disney Company. There are quite a few things to unpack this month from the various different theme parks including changes coming to booking theme park reservations, new meet and greet characters not seen before coming to Halloween parties on both coasts, a new Pinocchio-inspired Tiki mug that got fans out at Disneyland very excited, and we'll even go through some highlights of the latest quarterly earnings call.
On this week's episode, Blake Reilly from The Blake and Sal Show (with Mark) is here as a special guest to share his adventures from the convention circuit in the summer of 2022. From Fan Expo Chicago (July 8, 2022), there are two panels. The first is Some of My Favorite People Are Bounty Hunters: A Conversation with Carl Weathers. The second one is called Snips & Skyguy: A Clone Wars Reunion with Ashley Eckstein & Matt Lanter.

Bryce Yelverton and Sarah Evans join me to look back at all 32 themed lands from the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks that competed in this year's tournament.

Some of the news items that we'll touch on include the fight that broke out in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom, new MagicBand+ introduced to Walt Disney World, Marvel movie announcements that were announced at the San Diego Comic Con, Disneyland's closure of limited time nighttime shows and re-opening of major E-ticket attractions, and much more!
On this week's show, we're back with Round 5 of Walt Disney World Themed Land Madness! We started this bracket tournament back in March where you all have been voting for your favorite themed lands in Walt Disney World, and we're down to the final matchup! Before we get to the announcing which 2 themed lands will be in the final showdown, though, we have to announce the winners of our Final Four. Sarah Evans joins me again to look at the 4 lands that were in the Final Four, announce the winners and who will utlimately be the final two themed lands in Round 5 of this bracket tournament. It's been a lot of fun getting to this point where the excitement is coming to a head with some of the most difficult matches we've seen so far.
On this week's show, I'm joined by first time AATM guests for a new recurring segment we'll be running on the show called "Keep, Change, Replace). Paige and Stephen from the Parks Academy podcast join me, along with our good friend Sarah Evans to look at Disney's Animal Kingdom's Asia area of the park. We'll review all attractions, dining, snacks, shopping, and other details of the park and ask ourselves the question, "If were Imagineers would we keep, change, or replace them?" What would you change? Is there an attraction that is perfect just the way it is? And what detail would you just completely scrap and replace with something brand new?
