WDIY Wind Creek Event Center Michael Bernadyn of RE/MAX Real Estate Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub Banko Beverage Company Episode Recap: Dance Dance Revolution might seem like a relic of the early 2000s, but for the Whitehall DDR community, it's anything but. Every Thursday night, this group gathers at Dave & Buster's to celebrate their love for the game, from Eurobeat music to challenging footwork. In this episode, hosts George Wacker and Jeff Warren explore what keeps this community moving. Finding Connection through DDR The episode opens with stories from players like Chris, who has been playing DDR for 20 years, and Emily, who joined the scene to make new friends. For many, DDR is more than a game—it's a way to connect, improve, and push themselves. “Everyone here is supportive,” Chris shares. “No one's judging you, no matter your skill level.” The Comeback That Never Left DDR may have dipped in popularity over the years, but the community insists it never really went away. Alex reflects on the joy of seeing new players discover the game: “Watching kids' faces light up the way mine did when I first played is what makes it all worth it.” Exercise, Music, and Fun For Angeline, DDR is the perfect mix of cardio, movement, and rhythm. “It's not just a video game—it's a workout. It's good cardio, and the music is amazing,” she explains. From Eurodance to classic tracks like Butterfly, the soundtrack is a big part of the draw. An Open Invitation The community at Dave & Buster's is open and welcoming to everyone. “If you're on the fence, just try it,” Tony encourages. “When I started, I was horrible, but the most important thing is to have fun and push yourself.” Looking Ahead With events like a major tournament planned at the Philadelphia Round1 in June, the DDR scene in Pennsylvania is growing stronger. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, the Whitehall group invites you to join the fun every Thursday night. episode transcript

What's up, dudes? They say the sequels are never as good as the first. I think The Empire Strikes Back proves them wrong…but Band Aid II doesn't. I have music journalist Alex Rawls from The Twelve Songs of Christmas and My Spilt Milk with me to talk all about the second version of the charity song done in 1989! Spoilers: it's not as good as the first, but it's still fun!On Friday, December 1, 1989, Bob Geldof called Pete Waterman to ask if he would consider producing a new version of “Do They Know It's Christmas.” Waterman was part of The Hit Factory, a production team made up of himself, Mike Stock, and Matt Aiken. They were known for hi-NRG or Eurobeat style, with tempos usually somewhere between 102-140bpm, four-to-the-floor kick drums, staccato hi-hat, and bass lines frequently looped with fast eighth or sixteenth notes doubled at the octave. In fact, they produced 13 UK #1 singles and 3 US #1s. Waterman even postponed his wedding and rallied several artists together.Subsequently, on Sunday, December 3rd, the assembled artists recorded at PWL Studios in South London. Bob Geldof and family were present. On Tuesday, December 5th, the updated version was played for the first time on London's Capital Radio, 95.8 Capital FM. Advanced sales reached 500,000 copies, and the single was officially released on December 11th. It spent 3 weeks at #1, though Band Aid's original hit spent 5 weeks at #1 and sold over 2 million copies (which was approximately $24million in sales).Kylie Minogue? Check. Bros? Yep. Cliff Richard? A little out of place, but he was definitely there! So grab your denim jacket, put on an uptempo kick drum backing track, and jam out to this episode all about Band Aid II!The 12 Songs of ChristmasFB: @TwelveSongsofChristmasTwitter: @MySpiltMilk IG: @myspiltmilkGive us a buzz!

Peter Salerno hosts Happy Business Radio on Radio Italia Uno 87.6 FM, In this episode, your host Peter Salerno introduces his guest Glynn Nicholas Glynn Nicholas is a busker, comedian, producer and business owner. Glynn talks about his background as a busker, and how it is a great way to learn how to work with people, sell and keep people's attention. Glynn explains the meaning of his name, which means valley in Welsh. Glynn is a theatre producer and performer, and recently he was performing on a cruise ship. His production company is about to relaunch a show next year in Adelaide called Song Contest Almost Eurovision, which is a homage to the Eurovision Song Contest. Eurovision Song Contest started in 1952 as a way to bring together a war-torn Europe. The show is a bit like being at the finals of Eurovision, with eleven countries competing and the audience voting to decide the winner. Glynn's company also produced a show called Eurobeat, which they toured Australia with and took to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2007. He advises young performers to go to Edinburgh with the view of breaking even, if they're lucky, but also to have a good time. Glynn took the prototype to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and chose an 800-seater venue against most people's advice, and took 10,000 clackers, badges and flags to the show. It became the biggest-selling show of the festival and was later approached by Cameron Macintosh's right-hand man to tour the UK for 20 weeks before having a three-month run in the West End of London. However, when the global financial crisis hit, sales for other shows plummeted but the Eurovision Show was one of the few whose sales were actually increasing. Greetings listeners! In this weeks episode of the Warships Podcast, we crank up our epic sounds systems to full, as we jam to the likes of Yuro'Beat! Famous YouTuber and comedic World of Warships entertainer. Kelorn interviews Yuro beginning with how he got his start into creating his totally awesome YouTube content, and his love for the anime series Initial D. The cast continues the interview talking about cars, music, and how Yuro has almost single handedly been reviving the Eurobeat music genre. We bring up some differences between the SEA and NA servers and the communications barriers that exist, as well as talking about how communications effect things like Ranked game play. The cast also inquires about the importance of content like that of ARP and High School Fleet, and what that means to the SEA region for its player base. While getting into the heart of our show topics we quickly ask Yuro for his picks for the upcoming Ranked Season. He breaks down what he might use and talks about his outlook of this next season and Ranked in general. We discuss the HIJMS Kaga and USS Enterprise (CV6), as the new carriers on the block, the game play that these carriers bring, and impact they have been having on the game. The cast also gets into all the changes that Enterprise has received and what this ship is going to look like in its final form. Continuing on the topic of Enterprise, the cast brings up the prospects of competitive play in places like Supremacy League. How might she fare and will teams use this ship? Yuro speculates on KMS Graf Zeppelin another carrier that will most likely join the Tier 8 line up Soon™, as well as speculation on the High School Fleet Event and when that might hit the NA servers. The cast talks about HSF Harekaze. A Tier 8 destroyer which is an incredibly fun ship play and is one that brings a great set of options to Tier 8 destroyer gameplay. We round out the show talking about changes to this upcoming Ranked Season. Changes have been made in the rewards per rank, and the cast discusses the likes and dislikes of the system. Yuro proposes an awesome idea to change up the rewards a bit and we agree that the developers should take note. Thank you everyone for listening and see you next time! Check out Yuro's amazing additions to Warships lore on Youtube!
