Joachim Garraud on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 8/28/24 After seven years at the Conservatoire de Nantes (Nantes' classical music conservatory), Joachim Garraud, a musician with a passion for technology, developed his musical and artistic skills to become one of France's most influential producers in the early 2000s. He has collaborated with David Bowie, Kylie Minogue, Beyoncé, OMD, Deep Dish, Eurythmics, Paul Johnson, Cassius, Cerrone, Moby and Vitalic. He has been a close collaborator to Bob Sinclar and Jean-Michel Jarre in their musical projects for over 20 years, and has co-composed and co-produced David Guetta's hits such as "Just A Little More Love", "Love Don't Let Me Go", "Love is Gone" and "The World is Mine". Joachim, nominated for a Grammy Award in the "Best Remix" category, was the first French artist to use Pro-Tools, a leading music production software back in 1992. His Paris recording studio became one of the main meeting points of the influential musical movement known as "French Touch", of Daft Punk, Cassius, and Air fame. Amber D (born 1982) is a British hard dance DJ from Staffordshire. As Amber D'Amour she plays electro, fidget, and tech house She has been a DJ since late 2001. Her first residency was at the legendary Golden, in Hanley Stoke-on-Trent, where she used to warm up for DJs such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, K-Klass, Mauro Picotto, and she then DJ'd on BPM Radio and at BPM parties. In 2002, she won a DJ Competition at Fluffy, and started a residency at the club. She has released records with dance labels such as Tidy Trax, Kiddfectious, and Riot!, and has DJ'd internationally, including in Ibiza. She did an Essential Mix live on BBC Radio 1 in 2005. She was “Mixmag Future Hero” in 2004, and one of her tracks was in the top 4 at the Hard Dance Awards 2008. She also had the biggest selling EP of all time on Tidy Trax in the shape of the Amber D EP that was released in 2008. She now runs five record labels, D'Amour Recordings (electro house), D-Day Recordings (Tech, Euro Hard Trance and Hardstyle), D'Licious Recordings (UK hard house & hard dance), D'Licious HARD (Nu NRG and Harder House), and DirtyByDeisgn (Deep House / Tech House). She trained as a classical pianist and has a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology and is currently studying at University. She married Lee Haslam, another DJ, in August 2008, but they have since divorced. Nima Gorji on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 7/22/24 About Nima Gorji - Nima was born in Iran and soon became a citizen of Denmark, who has now been based on the magical island of Ibiza for nearly 20 years. He began his journey into music during the 1990's contributing as an in demand international DJ, producer and highly sought after remixer. His career spans more than 30 years, having a beautiful beginning in Copenhagen's club scene around the time when the modern house and techno music were taking shape, capturing people's attention more and more. In 1995 he began a residency at the iconic Club, now remembered as one of the most known underground clubs in Copenhagen, where he played alongside numerous renowned DJs, slowly building on his name. His relocation to Spain brought him extended collaborations with Ibiza Underground, Monza, FUSE, Pyramid, Zoo project and Next Wave while in 2010 he was awarded “Best Ibiza Resident DJ”. He also launched a new party concept “JOIN” in Ibiza inviting along friends old and new such as Alci, Rich NxT and Amir Javasoul, Olga Korol to name a few. We are pleased to have a legend like Nima whose name can be recognised in any corner of the world. Birthed in the refugee camps of Galang Island Indonesia with umbilical cord extended to her motherland of Hue, Vietnam, she journeyed West making Seattle home and now to your living room and festival speakers. Like a tumbleweed vacuum she collected enough life experiences that would need another lifetime to fully retell. Her eclectic lifestyle extends to the music she plays, brewing cups of melodic matcha from Electro, House, Techno, Trance, Dubstep, Trap and Hip Hop. At 16 her heart imploded from experiencing the love within the dance community; her feet callused from being a menace to these dance floors since. With close to two decades of being in the dance scene, her whole being has been primed to pursue her soul's mission of uniting people through music, food and art. Jodi Wille is a director and producer of the critically acclaimed documentary The Source Family and her brand new feature documentary Welcome Space Brothers which is about The Unarius Academy of Science. For whatever reason, 1952, the year of Truman Bethurum's encounters with saucer Captain Aura Rhanes and her crew, was a watershed year for UFO interactions and the Contactee movement. The period is mainly known for marking an era of peaceable and friendly exchanges with aliens, deAL266: Bethurum Part 2 – UFOs and the Occult spite the predictable fears of the "other" depicted in 1950s Science Fiction and fueled by Cold War tensions. Sometimes colloquially referred to as "Space Brothers" (which could include Bethurum's "Space Sister" Rhanes) or occasionally an alien race of "Nordics," these benevolent otherworldly visitors often urged humans to live in harmony, to care for our planet, and warned us of the dangers of the atomic age. The overall message is they were here to protect us from ourselves. But as welcoming and comforting as that sounds, there is a much-overlooked aspect of some of the personalities involved in this generation of heralds – a fair number of them had ties to occult beliefs and practices. From Aleister Crowley's magick and Jack Parsons to the wackier exploits of George Hunt Williamson, MIB threats to Albert K. Bender, William Dudley Pelley's fondness for Nazism, to the more modern cult of Marshall Applewhite and the current belief by some officials that aliens are demonic, the themes grow darker and more sinister. There is no doubt that a throughline has existed with the "Saucer Seers" from hopeful communions to the Dark Arts because it requires a belief in access to the mystical.
