Es doloroso pensar que a estos niños los etiquetamos, los regañamos y les llamamos constantemente la atención porque parecen no estar atentos, ¡porque están distraídos… pero la realidad es que NO ven! Hoy hacemos un llamado a los padres de familia, maestros y profesionales de la salud, para que antes de diagnosticar y medicar a los niños para TDA o TDH, les manden revisar sus ojos, quizá el problema del comportamiento y la falta de atención está en los ojos. En este capítulo la Dra. Claudia Ascencio nos explica del daño que les hacen los aparatos electrónicos a nuestros ojos, pero sobre todo a los ojos de nuestros hijos. No terminamos de dimensionar los daños a corto plazo que tiene el uso excesivo de las pantallas, y nuestros hijos van a terminar pagando una factura muy cara. La Dra. Claudia entiende muy bien que no todas las personas tienen acceso a la salud y la atención visual, por eso junto con su equipo ayudan a muchísimas familias a recuperar su vista. Devolverle a alguien la vista es presenciar un verdadero milagro, como el de Fátima, una niña de 10 que fue obtuvo un trasplante de córnea y pudo ver por primera vez a su madre. No cabe duda que cuando todos ponemos lo que somos y tenemos podemos ser el milagro…
