A Government response to a petition confirms the Department of Conservation's been urged to speak with investors and iwi to potentially fund restoration for the heritage-listed hotel. Demolition still remains an option. Adrift Tongariro Guiding owner Stewart Barclay told Heather du Plessis-Allan that it's significant for employment - and would pay for itself over time. In today's foundational show, I cut to the core of why the Right is listless and devoid of a set of consistent beliefs or objectives on a single issue — yes, even on immigration. Trump has now come out in favor of more illegal slave workers as well as Chinese visas, but the “influencers” will slop up any dredge thrown in the trough. I weave in foreign policy, immigration, AI policy, China policy, and fiscal and economic policy to show how those who are devoid of beliefs in pursuit of rhetoric and talking points wind up subverting those very talking points in short order.
