Mike and Joe join Lou to talk about space-based data analytics and the role satellites play. Mike Collett is Founder and Managing Partner of Promus Ventures. Since its inception in 2012, Promus Ventures invests in DeepTech early-stage startups, with offices in Chicago, San Francisco and Luxembourg. Mike has been a venture capital investor for over 20 years. Mike has invested in over 100 startups, including Rocket Lab, AngelList, Whoop, Mapbox, ICEYE, Bellabeat, FLYR, Kensho, Swift Navigation, Spire Global and others. Prior to Promus Ventures, Mike was Founder and Managing Partner of Masters Capital Nanotechnology Fund, a venture capital firm. While working at Masters Capital, a hedge fund, Mike invested in software and hardware startups. Prior to venture capital, Mike was a Vice President in Merrill Lynch's Mergers & Acquisitions group. Mike holds a BA in Math and BA in English from Vanderbilt University. He also holds a MBA in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis. Mike and his wife Paige have four children and live in Chicago. Joe Fargnoli is one of the co-founders of the New York Space Alliance (NYSA), a Public Benefit Corporation focused on bringing the immense and diverse resources of New York City and State to the New Space Economy. NYSA offers programs in tactical entrepreneurship such as an accelerator, a bootcamp in conjunction with Founder's Institute and a Hacking for Space Program in development as well as an online Innovation Exchange community connecting the many different space impacting industries with the New Space Economy. He also serves as a Solutions Architect for Raytheon Intelligence & Space and SMA, Inc. and Managing Partner for both NYSA and Innovation Acceleration Capital in Rochester, New York. Together with SSPI, Joe co-founded the New York Space Business Roundtable, a monthly dialogue and real New York style conversation about the space & satellite industry and its many facets, including where the investments are going. 57hours osigurao investiciju od 2 milijuna dolara od Feelsgood Capitala i dansko-švicarskog fonda Nordic Eye (inače investitor i u Bellabeat), ali i niza hrvatskih i slovenskih anđela, među kojima se ističu Damir Sabol (Photomath) i Sandro Mur (Bellabeat). Osnivači su Viktor Marohnić poznat po pokretanju digitalne agencije Five koju je Endava prošle godine akvizirala za 250 milijuna kuna i COO Perica Levatić koji je u Fiveu počeo kao product menadžer. Radi se o proizvodu koji je protekao iz Five Labsa kroz koji je Five razmišljao o razvoju i investiciji u startupe, što je na kraju rezultiralo s 57hours koji je do današnjeg oblika došao nakon 2 pivota. A sculptor by training, Urska shares how growing up in social culture heavily influenced by fitness guided her path in life, ultimately leading her to building a tech company anchored in a holistic view of women's health. Bellabeat is a Y combinator graduate company with over $11MM in sales and 40+ employees.

Urška Sršen je soustanoviteljica podjetja Bellabeat, ki razvija pametni ženski nakit, ki uporabnicam pomaga živeti bolj zdrav življenjski slog. Bellabeat je leta 2014 bilo sprejet v famozni pospeševalnik v Silicijevi dolini YC Combinator in je do danes zbralo že skoraj 20 milijonov dolarjev investicij. Urška je leta 2016 prejela tudi priznanje Forbes 30 under 30, ki vsako leto izbere trideset mladih podjetnikov (mlajših od 30 let), ki spreminjajo poslovni svet. Z Urško, ki je po izobrazbi tudi kiparka, sva se v podcastu pogovarjala o: paralelah med poslovnim in umetniškim svetom, kako oblikovanje produkta vpliva na poslovni model in kaj za kariero pomeni nagrada kot je Forbes 30 under 30.  

Na prvu, riječ hustler će možda imati negativnu konotaciju, ali ne u Silicon Valleyu i ne kada pričamo o Sandru Muru, za mene najboljeg i možda jedinog takvog primjera u Hrvatskoj. Imamo sreće da je netko poput Sandra dio hrvatske startup scene jer od njega možemo itekako učiti kako konkurirati najvećim firmama na američkom tržištu.Ja sam pak imao sreću razgovarati sa Sandrom o možda najvažnijoj temi o kojoj se s njim treba razgovarati - pronalaženje i osiguravanje investicija za tech startup. U pet godina i tri runde investicija, Sandro je digao preko desetak milijuna dolara investicija i to od najpoznatijih i najtraženijih investitora u Silicon Valleyu i na svijetu. Sjećam se da sam bio u laganom šoku kad sam ga upoznao 2014e jer se upravo vratio iz Y Combinator programa. U to vrijeme, gotovo nemoguća misija, a ni prije ni poslije Sandra - nitko s hrvatske startup scene nije u tome uspio.Prije mjesec dana, posjetio sam ga u Bellabeat uredima u Hoto tornju. Sandro je još uvijek Sandro, nabrijan sto na sat i s jačim ambicijama nego ikad. She also finished the first of her Dude Socks, and is zooming on the second, and started a new weaving project.
