While I found the program to be highly valuable and led by confident, knowledgeable professionals, I believe it's about 80% of the way to being truly comprehensive. In this review, I discuss the strengths of the program and highlight areas for improvement, particularly in providing guidance for entrepreneurs who are building their startups solo and need strategies for long-term sustainability without external support.

A friend suggested that I celebrate Episode 100 of this podcast by reuniting my former co-hosts, Peter Marriott and Zoe Kors. Since Peter and I started recording the podcast in June, much has changed - some of it good and some not-so-good. For a start, Peter moved to Sheffield, where he had been a lecturer at the University for many years. He is rekindling old friendships, making lots of new ones, and dabbling in the local kink scene.Zoe, meanwhile, is on the verge of launching a new course, Practical Intimacy for Couples, is writing her memoir (!), and, from the sound of it, has a full roster of clients.I'm also juggling the increasing demands of hosting this podcast alongside my new role as UK Sales & Marketing Director for Firmtech, singing and co-facilitating Startup School for Seniors. I hope you enjoy this particular episode. And if you appreciate the work we all have put in, please consider becoming a paid subscriber, which will help contribute to the running costs while helping to enhance and support the sex lives of older people. :)Sex Advice for Seniors is a reader-supported publication. Our guest was Susan Mahlburg, the Founder and CEO of Durham-based DiffyQ, an edtech platform that helps teachers better focus on the needs of individual students. We first profiled DiffyQ last October, shortly after she earned a $10K MICRO grant from NC DEA and shortly before we saw her pitch as part of CED's GRO Incubator Demo Day. Also in 2023: Mahlburg participated in the Launch Chapel Hill accelerator and finished her MBA at UNC's Kenan-Flagler, to go with her doctorate in education. Big year!

Being middle-aged has so many advantages too, we know who we are, more or less and we have bags of experience and expertise. We know what we want, or at least a strong sense of what we don't. We know our values and passions, and we crave a life filled with that meaning and purpose. That often means impacting the world more positively as well as personal success. This is where I can help because I've been there. As a business coach, I use all my knowledge and experience gained over 30 years in various industries, start-ups and scaleups, service agencies, and manufacturing companies. I've experienced successes and failures and am driven to help people avoid the same mistakes I made and help them achieve work or a business filled with an expression of who they are and what they want to offer the world. Her most recent business idea is aimed, again, at the over 50s and is called Nestful. They help the over 50s to find the perfect housemate, by matching lodgers of any age with homeowners over 50.
