What does it actually mean to be a witch in 2026? Not green skin, not a broomstick — but something far more ancient, powerful, and relevant. In this episode, Harmony Slater and Russell Case sit down with Eileen March: certified life coach, trained energy healer, former midwife, and proud self-identified witch based in Calgary, Alberta. Eileen shares how she went from atheist to awakened — and what that opening has looked like in her daily life, her rituals, and her thriving community of women who gather around moon cycles, the Wheel of the Year, and the wisdom of the natural world. In This Episode: The root meaning of the word "witch" — and why it's actually a reclamation, not a rebellion How the burning times of the 15th–16th centuries turned healers and wise women into figures of fear The difference between witchcraft and Wicca (this surprises most people) What the "witch wound" is and how it shows up in modern women's lives Why identifying as a witch is a rejection of Cartesian dualism: "I am not separate from nature. I am nature." The Wheel of the Year — the ancient pagan calendar that anchors Eileen's seasonal living practice New moon versus full moon energy: what ceremonies look like for each Eclipse energy: why Eileen recommends hunkering down rather than casting spells during eclipses The neuroscience of manifestation — and why ritual and action must go hand in hand Money bowls, moon water, candle magic — what they actually are and what they're for Eileen's 12-week program "Unleash Your Inner Witch" and her year-long "Wise Wild Woman Mentorship" The books that cracked Eileen open: If Women Rose Rooted by Sharon Blackie and The Spirited Kitchen by Carmen Spinola Connect with Eileen March: Instagram: @iameileenmarch Website & Free Witch Wound Masterclass: myluminouslife.ca Podcast: The Woo Curious Programs: Unleash Your Inner Witch (12-week) | The Wise Wild Woman Mentorship (year-long) New Moon in-person ceremonies in Calgary at Sola Strength Mentioned in This Episode: Sharon Blackie — If Women Rose Rooted Carmen Spinola — The Spirited Kitchen The Radiant Energy Method with Harmony Slater & Angelica — beginning March 28th (find link in show notes) Key Takeaways: Magic is not supernatural — it's the radical act of paying attention to what's already alive in and around you Ritual without action is wishful thinking. Action without ritual is exhausting. You need both. The Wheel of the Year gives you eight anchor points through the year to tune in, reflect, and renew intention Moon water, money bowls, and candle magic are tools for priming your brain to notice opportunity — not passive wishing The witch wound is real, it's collective, and healing it starts with claiming your own gifts The Inner Rejuvenation Codes: https://harmonyslater.kit.com/inner-rejuvenation-codes-mc FIND Harmony online: https://harmonyslater.com/ Harmony on IG: https://www.instagram.com/harmonyslaterofficial/ Finding Harmony Podcast on IG: https://www.instagram.com/findingharmonypodcast/ FREE Manifestation Activation: https://harmonyslater.kit.com/manifestation-activation

Guests: Kyra Klein, Physiotherapist & Shamanic Healer | Matthew Johnson, Somatic Therapist Business: Body Language | Squamish, BC | trainbodylanguage.com What if the pain you feel in your body is actually the voice of something your mind hasn't found words for yet? In this episode, hosts Harmony Slater and Russell Case sit down with two extraordinary healers—Kyra Klein and Matthew Johnson, co-creators of Body Language in Squamish, British Columbia—to explore what it really means to heal the whole human system. Kyra is Harmony's cousin, reunited through Ancestry.com in one of the most unexpected family stories you'll ever hear. A trained physiotherapist, yoga teacher, and shamanic practitioner, Kyra has spent over a decade learning to read the body's deepest stories through touch, intuition, and energy work. Her partner Matt came to healing through a radically different path—as a nationally ranked sport climbing coach who suppressed his emotions with elite precision, until a family loss and near-death illness shattered everything he thought he knew. Together, Kyra and Matt have built a practice that bridges physiotherapy, somatic therapy, breathwork, shamanic ceremony, and psychedelic integration—because they've learned that no single modality can heal the whole person. In this conversation, you'll discover: Why the body stores emotional and traumatic history in physical form How Matt's three-month health crisis—where he lost a third of his body weight and negotiated with death itself—became his initiation into healing What somatic therapy offers that traditional talk therapy cannot How Kyra reads the emotional story underneath physical symptoms through touch The difference between caring for someone and carrying them Why breathwork ceremony can be as powerful as psychedelic medicine What the Pacha Mesa shamanic tradition teaches about reconnecting to the natural world How integration is the missing piece in most healing journeys Why the West is finally waking up to what indigenous and Eastern traditions have always known This conversation is rich, tender, occasionally hilarious, and deeply grounded in the lived experience of two people who chose to turn toward their own healing—and built a business helping others do the same. ⭐ Want to go deeper? Poonam discusses the pitfalls of rigid diets and the significance of finding balance in a busy life. The conversation highlights the power of breath, the need to prioritize health, and the myth of perfectionism in wellness. Ultimately, it encourages a supportive and joyful approach to health, where slowing down can lead to profound changes.TakeawaysReal wellness begins not on the plate but in the nervous system.Food is definitely an integral part, but it's something more.Your body is intelligent enough to heal on its own.The body must feel safe before it can digest, repair and heal.Rigid diets often leave people feeling emotionally failed. When you stop fighting your body, everything changes. It's about how you are eating and how you're feeling.Discipline is about consistency and flexibility.Health is the base; if you do not have health, you are going nowhere.Wellness is not a stress; it becomes very supportive.Chapters00:00:00 Introduction to Soul Velocity and Wellness Journey00:01:06 Poonam's Personal Wellness Struggles00:03:05 The Importance of Listening to Your Body00:07:23 Understanding the Nervous System and Digestion00:09:30 The Pitfalls of Rigid Diets00:11:53 Shifting from Guilt to Balance00:15:38 Finding Harmony with Food00:18:39 Discipline vs. Joy in Wellness00:21:29 Prioritizing Health Amidst Life's Chaos00:25:48 The Long-Term Benefits of Slowing Down00:28:09 Wellness as a Supportive Journey00:29:13 The Power of Breath in Daily Life00:37:51 Breaking the Perfectionism Myth00:40:08 Daily Practices for Lasting Change00:43:56 Self-Care and the Importance of BoundariesPrograms by Snehal - https://linktr.ee/snehalrsinghAll books by MSW - https://linktr.ee/mindspiritworksLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/snehalrsingh/Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/snehalrsinghInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/mindspiritworksFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/mindspiritworksllcYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@SnehalRSinghCompany site - https://www.mindspiritworks.com/

In this episode of Hurdle, Emily sits down with Erika Gabrielli, the Vice President of Global Marketing at HOKA. Erika shares the story of HOKA’s meteoric rise from a niche ultra-running brand to a $2 billion global powerhouse. She delves into the importance of brand authenticity, the power of listening to the community, and why "maximalism" in footwear is about more than just aesthetics—it's about performance and comfort. Erika also opens up about her professional journey, offering tactical advice for those looking to break into the sports industry, the importance of trusting your intuition, and how she balances the demands of a high-profile executive role with being a mother. IN THIS EPISODE The Evolution of "Maximalism": Erika traces HOKA's journey from being "counter-culture" in a minimalist era to leading the industry with its focus on solving the problem of running downhills faster. Scaling with Soul: How the brand reached its $2 billion revenue milestone while maintaining core values like curiosity and inclusivity. Marketing via Experience: Why Erika believes experiential marketing is the most powerful tool for building emotional connections and lasting memories with consumers. Co-Creation over Control: Shifting the marketing narrative from "talking at people" to "world-building" alongside the running community. Career "Harmony": Erika's perspective on rejecting the myth of work-life balance in favor of finding a daily "harmony" that allows for both professional leadership and motherhood. QUOTABLE MOMENTS On Marketing & Community "It’s not about controlling the narrative ... it’s much more about embracing that idea of co-creation. It’s a shift from talking at people to being in a space where we’re doing more world-building." "In terms of greatest brand building, it comes from an experience because it evokes a memory ... that memory evokes emotion, and that’s what always is going to bring people back to a brand." "The work is never done. We can talk about ourselves all day long, but if it's not directly drawn to that consumer insight and how we're solving problems for them, it's not going to pass the bar." On Leadership & Intuition "The paranoid survive. You're always looking around corners to where there's opportunity but also where there's risk. Part of that to me is also tied to trusting your intuition." "It's not always the loudest voice in the room, it's not always the most senior voice in the room that is sharing the right paths or the right ideas." "The only person that's truly going to bet on you is you. Have the inner confidence to know that. You won't know until you try, and sometimes you won't know until you fail and you try again." On Life "Harmony" "I stopped looking for balance a few years ago. I think it's unrealistic. I switched my language into finding harmony. Harmony is about the acknowledgment that I’m not going to be perfect at all the roles I have to play, and that’s okay." What if your body has been trying to tell you something all along—and you just didn't know how to listen? Twenty-five years ago, Inna was trapped in chronic pain. Psoriasis covered her body. She could barely walk due to back issues. She struggled with anxiety, depression, and digestive problems. She was stuck in the medical system, being told her conditions were genetic and permanent, taking medications that didn't work. Then, at age 20, she lost her baby. And in the depths of that grief and physical agony, one statement from her chiropractor changed everything: "Your body wants to be stuck." That single sentence—which initially enraged her—became the doorway to her awakening. Because it made her realize: if her body WANTS something, it has intelligence. It has language. It's trying to communicate. That night, she placed her hands on her back, breathed, and asked a simple question: "What does my back look like? Why am I in pain?" What happened next awakened an ability that would eventually help tens of thousands of people across the globe. She could suddenly SEE inside her body. She understood the emotional, psychological, and ancestral patterns creating her physical symptoms. And within three weeks, she healed conditions she'd been told were permanent. In this deeply moving conversation, we explore: The Journey to Awakening Inna shares her full story—from growing up in Belarus and being raised to believe doctors were half-gods, to moving to Australia and being bullied, to the pregnancy and loss that became her breaking point, to the moment she took radical responsibility for her own healing and everything changed. How Medical Intuition Actually Works Inna explains how she learned to see into people's energy fields and bodies—from the first time she saw a cartoon liver above her friend's head, to working with a medical doctor who had her place acupuncture needles based on what she was seeing, to learning how to turn the ability on and off so she didn't go insane. The Logic of the Body This is one of my favorite parts of our conversation. Inna breaks down why the body is completely logical—not random, not punishing, but communicating with incredible intelligence. Every symptom has layers of meaning. Every disease has a story. And when you understand the logic, you can begin to heal. What Your Symptoms Are Really Telling You We dive deep into specific body parts and systems: Why your immune system breaks down (insecurity, inner conflict, self-neglect, stress, not being able to say no) What back pain is really about (lack of support—both emotional AND financial) Why skin issues appear (not feeling safe, not belonging, ancestral trauma) How your digestive system holds loss and grief The Power of Color Healing Inna teaches how color is directly connected to emotion, and how you can use color intentionally every single day to shift your state. She shares stories of using pink light for protection, green for manifestation, and how wearing different colors changes how you feel, think, and show up in the world. Taking Radical Responsibility We discuss what it really means to move from being a victim of your body to being the healer of your body. This isn't about blaming yourself for illness—it's about recognizing that you have power, intelligence, and the ability to participate in your own healing. Ancestral Trauma in the Body Inna explains how family patterns and generational trauma show up in your physical body—in your digestive system, your immune response, your nervous system. She shares her own story of recognizing her grandmother's trauma living in her body. Practical Self-Healing Techniques Throughout the conversation, Inna shares tangible practices you can use immediately—from breathing into pain, to asking your body questions, to using color intentionally, to working with pressure points and movement. The Difference Between Caring and Carrying One insight that really struck me was Ina's distinction between caring for people and carrying them. This is huge for healers, coaches, yoga teachers, and anyone in helping professions. Why Healing Pulls You Toward Knowing Yourself Ina's closing wisdom is so powerful: "Healing always pulls you toward knowing you. You cannot heal without self-knowledge. The more you dive in, the more you realize what a layered person you are and how beautifully colorful and complex you are on the soul level." This episode is for anyone dealing with chronic health issues, anyone who feels stuck in their body, healers and coaches who want to understand the deeper layers of what's happening with their clients, yoga teachers, energy workers, bodyworkers, and anyone curious about the profound intelligence of the body. GUEST BIO: Inna Segal is an internationally recognized healer, bestselling author, speaker, and intuitive guide. Keeping houseplants happy and healthy when you have lots going on in your house can be difficult. Nationally known plant expert Tova Martin is back to share some tips for making things easier. We also talk about how to care for traditional holiday plants.
We spend our lives waiting for the "real" moment to start. We wait for the apology, the warm bed, the recovery, or the flight announcement. But what if the waiting room is actually where the life happens? In this episode of Thinking Out Loud, we dismantle the anxiety of the delay. We look at a mother in Sweden paralyzed by pride, a homeless veteran in Russia who refuses to abandon his dog, a nurse in the Philippines keeping watch over a coma patient, and a group of stranded travelers in Germany finding a song in the dark. We ask the difficult questions: Is your pride a shield or a cage? Why do we treat the sick like they are invisible? And how do we turn a brownout into a cathedral? Join me as we learn how to stop checking the clock and start singing in the dark.
In this mind-bending, heart-opening conversation, Harmony and Russell welcome back author, former Benedictine monk, financial advisor, and Enneagram educator Doug Lynam. What begins as a discussion about money and spirituality quickly expands into psychedelics, ego structures, ancient Christian history, mystical experiences, and why our deepest personal wounds shape both our financial lives and our spiritual paths. Doug unpacks how his monastic vows, his monastery's bankruptcy, and years of guiding others through financial distress led him to explore the emotional and psychological roots of money. He explains why money acts as “stored energy,” why it absorbs our intention, and why integrating spirituality with finance is essential for living a whole, aligned life. From there, the episode rolls into the psychedelic origins of the Enneagram, how different types experience altered states, and why Doug believes psychedelic journeys can reveal the deepest architecture of the ego. Harmony and Russell share their own recent experiences with 5-MeO-DMT, exploring consciousness, connection, lineage healing, and the dissolution of the self. This is one of the most surprising, expansive, and spiritually charged conversations ever recorded for the Finding Harmony podcast. In this episode: Setting the Stage: Who Is Doug Lynam Today? Harmony introduces Doug as a “monk, a money manager, and a mystic” wrapped into one. Doug's backstory: 20 years as a Benedictine monk, vow of poverty, monastery bankruptcy. How reconciling money and spirituality became his life's work. Money as Spiritual Energy Doug reframes money as “stored work energy.” Why separating spirituality and money leads to fragmentation. Russell shares his discomfort about mixing spirituality and money, prompting a rich dialogue about cultural conditioning and internal conflict. Psychedelics in Early Christianity Doug shares research from The Immortality Key. Evidence of psychedelic sacraments in early Christian rituals. Greek, Roman, and pagan traditions that shaped early Christianity. Understanding the Enneagram from a Psychological Lens Doug explains the Enneagram as nine ego-structures shaped by childhood stressors. The three emotional roots: anger, sadness, fear. Russell identifies strongly with Type Nine. How the Enneagram predicts emotional triggers and core wounds. Psychedelics and the Enneagram Doug's theory: psychedelic experiences mirror your type's greatest fear and greatest hope. Anger-triad types often benefit from dissociatives like ketamine. Shame-triad types often benefit from MDMA. Fear-triad types often resonate with psilocybin or LSD. The Untold Psychedelic History of the Enneagram The Enneagram's modern lineage through Oscar Ichazo and Claudio Naranjo. Naranjo's psychedelic clinic and collaborations with Alexander Shulgin. How psychedelic history was stripped out when the Enneagram entered Christian communities. Five-MeO-DMT, Ego Dissolution, and the Mystical Experience Doug outlines safe, trauma-informed approaches to 5-MeO facilitation. Why slow, intentional dosing may be safer than single “breakthrough” hits. How the Enneagram enriches psychedelic integration. Harmony and Russell share their own recent journeys, including lineage healing and somatic release. Trauma, Healing, and Union with the Divine Doug shares his own intense 5-MeO experience involving collective suffering and infinite love. Philosophical reflections on consciousness, non-duality, pain, and interconnectedness. A powerful closing on how expanded states reveal the architecture of the ego and the nature of reality. Guest Bio: Doug Lynam Doug Lynam is a former Benedictine monk turned financial advisor, author, and expert on the intersection of money, psychology, and spirituality. After spending two decades in monastic life, Doug unexpectedly became responsible for navigating his monastery through bankruptcy. This launched his mission to help others heal their relationship with money. He's a partner at a New Mexico investment firm, an Enneagram specialist, and the author of From Monk to Money Manager and Taming Your Money Monster. Doug also integrates his deep interest in psychedelics, consciousness, and emotional transformation into his work. Episode Description Have you ever paused to reflect on where your patterns of strength, resilience, or even overwork come from? In this powerful and heartfelt conversation, I'm joined by licensed therapist and mother-daughter relationship coach Brittney Scott to explore how the examples set by the women before us—our mothers, grandmothers, and communities—shape how we show up in life, love, and leadership today. This episode isn't about blame—it's about blessing the roots we've grown from. The truth is, our mothers and elders modeled what they knew with love and strength, and because of them, we have the opportunity to build with even more intention, harmony, and healing. Brittney and I talk about how to move beyond survival mode, redefine what success and self-care mean for you, and find the middle ground that honors both where you come from and who you're becoming. This episode is dedicated to my mother—for her love, sacrifice, and example of strength. Because of her, I can stand in my purpose today and help others do the same. Show Notes While on the I Choose Me Book Tour, I sat down with licensed therapist and mother-daughter relationship coach Brittney Scott for an empowering discussion about legacy, growth, and healing through self-awareness. We explore how the lessons and behaviors we witnessed growing up—whether from our mothers, fathers, aunties, or communities—become part of our own blueprint. Sometimes those patterns help us thrive; other times, they invite us to pause and redefine what truly feels aligned. Brittney, who is also one of my former mindset coaching clients, shares how a mindset shift helped her navigate overwhelm while her husband was deployed, creating deeper understanding and balance within her family. This conversation is close to my heart. My mother's strength, love, and perseverance have deeply shaped who I am. This episode serves as a celebration of that foundation—a reminder that healing isn't about doing the opposite of what we were taught, but about finding harmony between wisdom, growth, and grace. In this episode, you'll learn: How learned behaviors influence how we lead, love, and care for ourselves. Ways to move from survival mode to intentional living without guilt or burnout. The importance of self-awareness in breaking cycles and building new ones with love. Why healing is about alignment, not opposition—and how to find your own middle ground. How gratitude for your roots can coexist with your desire to evolve and expand. Timestamped Highlights [00:00:07] I introduce the topic: how the mother-daughter relationship can be at the root of many issues women face today. We live in a day when relationships are easily discarded whenever they reach a bump in the road. Yet, it... The post Finding Harmony Again (#999) first appeared on The God Journey.
I recently spent some time away on vacation, which got me thinking deeply about retirement, purpose, and the ongoing challenge of finding meaning in our everyday lives. While watching some older couples spend hours together on their boats, I found myself questioning not just what they talked about, but also how I view my own future and the idea of slowing down. From leaving a corporate career I couldn't stand to building a financial advisory firm that truly fulfills me, I share my ongoing struggle with the gap between knowing we want change and actually taking the necessary steps. I've learned, both as a podcast host and advisor, that self-awareness is just the first step; turning that awareness into action is often the hardest part, especially without a dramatic wake-up call pushing us forward. As we celebrate 200 episodes, I wanted to pass along three key takeaways from this milestone episode that might spark some reflection in your own life and career: · Awareness is the First Step, But Action is Hardest · Financial Planning is (Mostly) Emotional · Strive for Harmony, Not Balance Thank you to everyone who has tuned into the podcast, whether it's been for one episode or 200. The drummer and percussionist Billy Martin, whose name many Time Sensitive listeners may recognize—he created the Time Sensitive theme song—defies any boxed-in or limiting definitions of his work. Best known as a member of the band Medeski Martin & Wood (MMW), he's spent the past three-plus decades making experimental, boundary-pushing, and uncategorizable instrumental jazz-funk-groove music, shaping sounds that feel as expansive as they are definitive and distinctive. Across all his artistic output, Martin continually, meditatively searches for harmony. He is also a composer, a teacher, a visual artist, and a builder and craftsman. His expansive creative practice comes most alive at his home in Englewood, New Jersey, where he has cultivated a bamboo garden, crafted his own Japanese-style teahouse, and constructed a music studio. Martin is someone for whom rhythm is not just something heard, but also seen and felt.On the episode, he talks about his MMW journey at length, his concept of “rhythmic harmony,” and why he views sound creation as a sacred act.Special thanks to our Season 11 presenting sponsor, Van Cleef & Arpels.Show notes:Billy Martin[7:31] Medeski Martin & Wood[7:31] John Medeski[7:31] Chris Wood[7:31] “Not Not Jazz” (2024)[10:12] Iggy Pop's “Avenue B” (1999)[10:12] Don Was[11:27] “The Lover” (1995)[11:27] “Friday Afternoon in the Universe” (1995)[11:27] “Old Angel Midnight” (1973) by Jack Kerouac[13:44] Ra-Kalam Bob Moses[13:44] John Scofield[13:44] David Baker[15:57] “Shuck It Up” (1993)[15:57] “It's a Jungle in Here” (1993)[18:12] “Latin Shuffle” (1998)[18:12] “Combustication” (1998)[18:12] Frankie Malabe[18:12] Art Blakey[33:25] Thelonious Monk[33:58] “Life on Drums” (2011)[38:32] John Bonham[38:32] Charlie Watts[38:32] Stewart Copeland[38:32] Elvin Jones[38:32] Max Roach[38:32] Danny Richmond[38:32] Charles Mingus[38:32] Jack DeJohnette[38:32] Joe Morello[38:32] Roy Haynes[38:32] Stan Getz[38:32] Airto Moreira[38:32] Naná Vasconcelos[38:32] Babatunde Olatunji[39:58] Gus Johnson[39:58] “Whatever Happened to Gus” (1998)[39:58] Steve Cannon[40:54] “Chubb Sub” (1995)[40:54] ”Uncle Chubb” (1992)[46:41] “Shack-man” (1996)[47:06] “Drumming Birds” (2004)[54:48] “Bamboo Rainsticks” (1999)[54:48] Amulet Records[1:00:23] Creative Music Studio
