David Geiger was at the Iowa Hunger Summit yesterday and had the chance to talk with Ambassadors Terry Branstad and Kenneth Quinn about the creation of the summit and the importance of collaborating on ending hunger in a non-partisan effort. Iowa State University Extension Field Agronomist Gentry Sorenson in North Central Iowa gives us some info on drought conditions in his area with some areas moving into D3 Extreme Drought. He also says next week could be the start of combines rolling more frequently in that area. David Geiger is back in the Crystal Studio on the West Concourse visiting with FFA State Leaders Holly Schmitt and Annabelle Newton about the events they are part of today and some of the competitions their members have competed in so far.
