Back at the Daddy Panel with Dennis Gray of 101 Uses for Baby Wipes, Greg from Dancing with Elephants and James B of the Naval Cast and Face the music. Great topics and discussion. Very interesting to see/hear what our worries about TV screen time were back then compared to what screen time means today. Enjoy!!
This episode was the first Daddy Panel, a dream child of Dennis Gray (101 Uses for Baby Wipes) to bring together father podcasters to talk about father podcaster stuff. On this inaugural episode we had James B (Naval Cast and Face the Music), Rob Walch (Podcast 411, Today in iOS) and Richard Brewer-Hay (formerly with Podshow, now with Splunk and always with the Elizabeth Street Brewery). Richard was not yet a dad so much of the episode was based on giving sound (and not so sound) advice to the soon be be father. Good time - these Daddy Panels were a lot of fun.

Dennis Gray hops into the hot seat this week on Terminal Exchange. He’s been cruising our nation’s roads for a while now, but before he was a navigator of the sea seeing the world. We could write a book on him – but here’s just a brief glimpse of Captain Dennis. 600 lb Marlin to 80,000 lb Truck Dennis divulges his fascinating history from the army to computers in the ’80s to captaining sport fishing boats and more. “I ran all sorts of different boats: party boats, cruise boats, dive boats, off-shore oil field crew boats, supply boats, and private boats. I had a lot of fun driving the private boats.” He’s seen the world, seen a lot of ocean, and now he sees a lot of growth and opportunity as a Nussbaum driver. “We need to get to dancing again. And get our rhythm back. And I think once we get our rhythm back, our strong heart beat’s going to return.” In this episode of Terminal Exchange, Dennis wows with where he’s been, but also where he sees Nussbaum going as an employee-owned company. Listen now for worldly stories and wisdom from Captain Dennis Gray. Quotes “My dad was 24 years military. And my brother was in the military at that time, so I joined the army security agency and got 12 years in the military.”“I got a long history – I’m an old man!”“Now my phone will do more than the first computers I ever worked on.”“I ran all sorts of different boats: party boats, cruise boats, dive boats, off-shore oil field crew boats, supply boats, and private boats. I had a lot of fun driving the private boats.”“We won first place with a 654-pound blue marlin. $575,000 for three days of fishing.”“We’re talking five staterooms, five bathrooms…”“It’s like a hotel on water?” “Yeah, but it rocks and rolls!”“I can’t tell you how many people I see driving down the road with that phone in their hand in front of their face trying to drive a car 70 MPH next to a big rig.”“He was 25 miles off-shore in a 14-foot boat with six people on it and had no idea where he was. He was just out driving around on his boat and was out of fuel.”“God’s sent me this message and showed me that [Nussbaum] truck coming down the highway on my way home. Maybe this is the direction I need to go…”“We need to get to dancing again. And get our rhythm back. And I think once we get our rhythm back, our strong heart beat’s going to return.” Pictures

Cook stirring constantly until forms a ball. Turn out onto floured surface and knead until desired consistency. Store in plastic bags or airtight container in refrigerator. CORNSTARCH PLAYDOUGH 2 lbs baking soda 1 lb cornstarch 1 1/4 cups water Cook until consistency of mashed potatoes. Can add more water if needed later.
