Electabuzz is one of the original electric Pokemon so we've got a lot of entries to get through. But what is the truth about Electabuzz and who is trying to hide it from us? Join us this episode as Beyond the Ball seeks perhaps the most rare Pokemon treasure of all: vindication. Follow along with the entries below: Red & Blue: Normally found near power plants, they can wander away and cause major blackouts in cities. Yellow: If a major power outage occurs, it is certain that this POKéMON has eaten electricity at a power plant. Gold: Electricity runs across the surface of its body. In darkness, its entire body glows a whitish-blue. Silver: Its body constantly discharges electricity. Getting close to it will make your hair stand on end. Crystal: When two ELECTABUZZ touch, they control the electric currents to communicate their feelings. Ruby & Sapphire: When a storm arrives, gangs of this POKéMON compete with each other to scale heights that are likely to be stricken by lightning bolts. Some towns use ELECTABUZZ in place of lightning rods. FireRed: It loves to feed on strong electricity. It occasionally appears around large power plants and so on. Diamond & Pearl: Half of all blackouts occur when this Pokémon appears at power plants and eats electricity. Platinum: It windmills its arms to slightly boost its punches. Foes have been known to escape in the meantime. Black & White 2: Research is progressing on storing lightning in Electabuzz so this energy can be used at any time. Sun: Half of all sudden blackouts are caused by Electabuzz gathering at electric power plants and gobbling up electricity. Moon: Electricity leaks from it in amounts far greater than the amount of electricity it eats. Ultra Sun: Electricity permeates its body. It swings its arms round and round to charge up electricity before unleashing a punch. Ultra Moon: While it's often blamed for power outages, the truth is the cause of outages is more often an error on the part of the electric company. Sword: Many power plants keep Ground-type Pokémon around as a defense against Electabuzz that come seeking electricity. Shield: With the coming of a storm, many of these Pokémon will gather under tall trees and sit there waiting for lightning to strike. Legends Arceus: Feeds on electrical energy. During sudden showers beneath looming thunderclouds, one can observe Electabuzz scaling tall trees, where the Pokémon will then wait for lightning to strike. BTB: This oft-maligned Pokemon is actually the cause of less than half of all blackouts. It spends most its time being rodwy and climbing trees. The only thing more exciting than a big thunderstorm is a Beyond the Ball arc covering the Electabuzz line starting with Elekid! How rowdy is this monster baby? What serves as its baby bottles? Can it even store electricity? Answers to these questions and more await! Topics of distraction include: Mission Impossible, King of the Hill, Vince McMahon, etc. Follow along with the entries below: Gold: It rotates its arms to generate electricity, but it tires easily, so it charges up only a little bit. Silver: Even in the most vicious storm, this POKéMON plays happily if thunder rumbles in the sky. Crystal: It loves violent thunder. The space between its horns flickers bluish-white when it is charging energy. Ruby & Sapphire: ELEKID stores electricity in its body. If it touches metal and accidentally discharges all its built-up electricity, this POKéMON begins swinging its arms in circles to recharge itself. Emerald: If it touches metal and discharges the electricity it has stored in its body, an ELEKID begins swinging its arms in circles to recharge itself. Diamond & Pearl: It generates electricity by whirling its arms. However, it can't store the energy it makes. Platinum: A weak electric current flows between its horns. Sticking a hand there shocks the unwary. Black & White 2: Spinning its arms around to generate electricity makes the area between its horns shine light blue. Sun: When it's in a house, electrical outlets serve as its baby bottles. It sucks down electricity. Moon: This Pokémon is constantly fighting with Togedemaru that try to steal its electricity. It's a pretty even match. Ultra Sun: When it hears the crash of thunder, Elekid's mood improves. It can be useful to record that sound and play it when Elekid's feeling down. Ultra Moon: When its horns shine a bluish white, that's the sign it's fully charged. You'll get a shocking jolt if you touch it! Sword: When a storm approaches, this Pokémon gets restless. Once Elekid hears the sound of thunder, it gets full-on rowdy. Shield: It's not good at storing electricity yet. This Pokémon sneaks into people's homes, looking for electrical outlets to eat electricity from. Legends: Arceus: They generate electricity by spinning their arms. During a thunderstorm, if one hears the lively voices of children out in the wilderness, what one is actually hearing are the voices of Elekid. BTB: This little electric shock monster baby has an insatiable hunger for electricity and will guzzle it straight from the outlet. Don't touch the horns! Our week was packed with events and various things to do within the game including the Halloween 2020 Event as well as its sub events, Duskull Spotlight Hour, Darkrai Raid Hour as well as The Crown Tundra event featuring Galarian Ponyta and Farfetch’d! This week has been amazing and has kept trainers super busy this week!   Animation Week is the next event that is on its way to the game, which will celebrate the Pokémon Journeys Anime! Featuring Pokémon found in the show, Timed Research inspired by the episodes, Goh popping up in Photobombs, and even Goh inspired Avatar Items!    There are a bunch of Regional Events on the calendar, with LATAM getting a Day of the Dead Event as well as a few different areas of the world getting Special Weekend Events thanks to various sponsors.
