Andy and Anthony talk with Ryan Saxe about his latest Magic passion project. Inspired by one of his favorite video game genres, AutoBattlers, Ryan has been working to create a Magic variant that incorporates the feeling of quick mini-games and constant upgrades and expansion of your arsenal. In his format, players face of in a series of mini-games with only a few cards available to each player. After each quick game, players get to modify and expand their available pool of cards to use by trading with a random new selection of cards from the Cube list. Players are eliminated as they accrue a certain number of losses leaving one the champion. Lured Up Podcast 297 Record Date - 1/16/2024 Publish Date - 1/20/2024   We have a nice combination of news and commentary this week as the both the blogs and social media have been on fire. We start with a recap of the last week of gameplay including Dazzling Dream and its questionable choice of a Hatch Collection Challenge. The Community was very upset about this being time gated, as well as the target hatches being in 7k eggs.    Adventure Effects are proving to be more polarizing than we originally thought. Once the initial excitement settled down, the social media sentiment took a major turn. It opened up the conversation of if the Effects were worth the investment, with many thinking the return just isn't worth it. This is mainly influenced by only looking at the rewards and not the experience, a divide that is becoming more and more common in non-casual circles.   Annihilape will be here next week and it looks to be an exciting addition to a Battler's arsenal. With relevance in all three leagues, you are going to want to catch multiple specs of this one! We look at GO Hub's analysis of what you should expect heading into Raging Battles and GO Battle Week.    Taken Treasures will close out the month and is another two for one event as it is paired with a Team GO Rocket Takeover. Solid bonuses and Raid bosses will make this a good time, while the Battlers will finally have another chance to TM away Frustration.    We close the show with another heated debate from social media. A growing belief that ALL paid Research in Pokémon GO should be Special Research. We take a look at the reasons behind the feeling, and how both Paid Timed and Special Research can exist at the same time. Wieso zur Hölle hat Sebastian da bereits hunderte Stunden investiert? Und dann auch noch das: Mit „Mechabellum“ erfindet sich das Genre gerade in einer äußerst reizvollen Variante neu. Coach Perotti explains sprint football, discusses recruiting, and gives insight into how he learns more about the game. Matt Perroti is the head sprint football coach at Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia. The Battler's sprint football team was formed in 2019 and Coach Perotti was hired as the defensive coordinator, linebackers coach, and recruiting coordinator. In his inaugural season Coach Perotti had two All-CSFL Second Team players and one honorable mentions player. Prior to coaching at AB Coach Perroti was the offensive coordinator at Torrington High School in Connecticut. Coach Perroti grew up in North Canaan, CT where he lettered in football, wrestling, skiing, and baseball at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Following high school Coach Perroti played safety for two years at Franklin Pierce University before transitioning to Franklin and Pierce's offensive line and special teams coach.
