Since forming the group during a university class assignment in 2008, Paul has spent nearly two decades helping anchor their melodic and eclectic sound, layering essential synthesizer textures, piano, and occasional trombone across eight studio albums. From their acclaimed debut Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs to their latest release Like Love, his meticulous approach to parts and arrangement has been a constant thread in the band’s enduring catalog. This week we conclude our study of Revelation 1 with a look at the aside John gives in Revelation 1:5b-6. He seems to break from his stream of thought to glorify Christ. Read over these passages, when was the last time you were so in awe of, grateful for, filled with wonder at Christ that you couldn't help but stop what you were doing, saying, thinking and glorify Him?

Dr. Mitchell concludes his study in 1st Peter with this lesson. We are looking at 1st Peter 5:8-14. He gives an overview of scriptural teaching about the devil. In this lesson in verse 9, we are told to resist the devil firm in the faith. Dr. Mitchell shares several scriptures on resisting the devil even as our Lord did during His earthly temptation found in Mt.4 and Luke 4. The victory against this adversary is found in the Word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit. While suffering, our strength is found in the God of all grace. God will be glorified as He has the dominion forever and ever. Amen! Peter writes this epistle testifying that this is the true Grace of God and to stand firm in it.
