Federal agencies must now allow any officials designated by the president or agency leadership to have complete access to unclassified records, data, software systems and IT systems, President Donald Trump declared in an executive order late Thursday night. Trump's directive aims to stop waste, fraud and abuse by eliminating information silos, requiring agency heads to “ensure Federal officials designated by the President or Agency Heads (or their designees) have full and prompt access to all unclassified agency records, data, software systems, and information technology systems — or their equivalents if providing access to an equivalent dataset does not delay access — for purposes of pursuing Administration priorities related to the identification and elimination of waste, fraud, and abuse.” “This includes authorizing and facilitating both the intra- and inter-agency sharing and consolidation of unclassified agency records,” the executive order states. A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order last Thursday blocking Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency from further access to any Social Security Administration systems that contain personally identifiable information. Judge Ellen Hollander of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland also ordered that all DOGE team members associated with the organization's work at SSA, including Elon Musk and U.S. DOGE Service leader Amy Gleason, must disgorge and delete all non-anonymized personal information they obtained from the agency's systems. The decision is an initial victory in the case where Democracy Forward led a group of unions and an advocacy organization in suing the Social Security Administration and its acting Commissioner Leland Dudek for giving DOGE access to “some of the nation's most sensitive data, including the financial data, employment information, medical data, and personal addresses of millions of Americans,” according to the initial complaint. Mike told Puck that Mike Macdonald offered a different tone than what Pete Carroll would always preach.  It was great to have Abe Lucas back on the field and you could tell immediately that he was a difference maker and he raised the play of the entire offensive line. Geno Smith continues to be hot topic with fans and media and showed again with his last second drive why he continues to be such a polarizing topic and player. Mike gets into a very interesting discussion with Puck on the team building philosophy of Mike Macdonald and how it's different than the rest of the league thinking  and how it harkens back to an older style of football. They also discuss the 49ers window and look ahead to the Seahawks matchup with the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.  Lastly, Puck wraps up the Thursday show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”   Money is not everything for everyone.  Washington State defensive tackle David Gusta illustrated that this week with Puck. This sermon covering chapters 3 and 4 of Hebrews rounds off the theological foundation the author sets for his Jewish audience: who is Jesus. This final one, as Pastor Jon points out, was a doozy: Jesus is bigger than Moses. What does this mean? It means we finally have another shot at God's Rest after the Israelites blew their change, and we finally have full access to God through Jesus Christ, our perfect high priest.

How can you know if video evidence is valid or has been altered? By analyzing a file's metadata without accessing personal information or video footage, Medex can identify if it has been tampered with and flag it for further investigation.  As videos can be easily manipulated, authenticating them is becoming legally necessary. The digital forensic community should apply more pressure to ensure that files can be evaluated earlier in their lifecycle.

Digital evidence is critical to all ICAC investigations. As storage devices become increasingly smaller in physical size but store more data, locating that evidence becomes difficult. In a perfect world, on-premise storage infrastructure is refreshed every five years. That timeframe isn't realistic for law enforcement agencies. The benefit of using cloud resources is that it removes the need to buy all new hardware. As a cloud services provider, AWS handles the refresh so that organizations always have the latest storage and pay for only what they need. Often backup systems in agencies take the form of a NAS device underneath someone's desk. In the event of a natural disaster, everything would be lost. Even if the backup wasn't destroyed, there may not be access to it, and the operation would be down. With cloud storage, mission-critical systems can continue to operate simply because the system is in a separate location.

He has conducted and published research in neuroendocrinology, developmental psychology, anthropology, and education. His research focuses on the role of play in human evolution and how children educate themselves, through play and exploration, when they are free to do so. He has expanded on these ideas in his book, Free to Learn: Why Unleashing the Instinct to Play Will Make Our Children Happier, More Self-Reliant, and Better Students for Life (Basic Books). He has been a regular contributor to Psychology Today magazine and is a founding member and president of the nonprofit Alliance for Self-Directed Education (ASDE) and a founding board director of the nonprofit Let Grow.  He earned his undergraduate degree at Columbia College and Ph.D. in biological sciences at the Rockefeller University many years ago.
