I have a special guest today who I reconnected with a few months ago after 10 years. Christie Flynn was a client back in 2014 when she was a health coach. I'm opening up my heart to reveal vulnerable stories of my experiences with my intuition. This voice of love has significantly impacted my success within my business, my health, my relationships, and my entire life. I'm often asked to share my favorite strategy for success, and THIS is it! My ituition has been the greatest tool guiding me every single day into overflowing abundance.  In this episode, I open up about how I've been receiving messages for other people and how sharing these messages have allowed people to heal as it activates them into purpose.  I reveal that we all receive intuitive guidance, and when we operate in fear, doubt or lack, this intuitive voice is understood through judgement and separation.  When we operate through love, we're able accept and trust the message, and the more we do, the more we'll understand this powerful gift within each of us. Hebrews 12:9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? Out-of-wedlock pregnancies were almost non-existent in the time of the letter to the Hebrews. Everyone reading had a father who disciplined them. On top of that, they lived in the Middle East, in which every culture was an honor/shame culture. Honoring one's parents was expected, and if one shamed his father, not only did the father shame his son, but the community joined in the discipline process. The statement, “We had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them,” could not be so adamantly stated as a fact today as it was when the author wrote it.  Besides the point that we should endure in faith by drawing near to God's throne for grace to trust and love in the midst of suffering and hardship and keeping our eyes on Jesus, the author continued encouraging them to view their difficulties as loving child-training by their heavenly Father. In their day, one didn't question the discipline of the father. A father was respected for going to whatever lengths were necessary to train his children for life. Children were expected to respectfully submit themselves to the father's discipline so they would be prepared for adulthood. The author's point was that if one respected his father, who was preparing them for life on this earth, how much more should one respect the heavenly Father, who is preparing them for eternal spiritual life?  The earthly father looks ahead at what the child is going to need to be happy in this world in adulthood. The heavenly Father knows what His children need to be happy in heaven, in the new city where they are going to live. Therefore, through the difficulties in life on the earth, He prepares them to inherit His kingdom. If we know our Father is preparing us for His glory in His kingdom, then we endure the training, knowing we will ultimately be grateful and satisfied. May we submit ourselves today to whatever training exercises our Father has for us, knowing it is for our highest good and greatest satisfaction. Friends, the readings for this Thirty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time take us to very holy ground. In the first reading, taken from the sixth chapter of Deuteronomy, we hear the “shema,” a prayer fundamental to Jewish theology and spirituality. And in the Gospel, when one of the scribes asks Jesus which is the greatest commandment, the Son of God, the Torah made flesh, recites the same prayer. We can't get any more sacred or any clearer indication of how we should govern our lives.

I take a deep breath and say out loud, “Thank you, God.” TD and I each say a prayer out loud before we begin the day. I pray all day, every day. My standard prayer throughout the day is, “Thank you, God.” Saying thank you during the day (even in what appears to be troubling times) keeps me in the present moment and allows me to remember that in another moment, I'll feel another emotion. Sometimes I will say my prayers silently or aloud as I am walking the dog and I also say them while I'm getting dressed. I go with how I feel and below is an example of what I may say. Dear God, Thank you for waking me up this morning with my sight, taste, touch, smell, hearing, and intuition. I am grateful for another day on this earth to be an ambassador of your love. Keep me tuned in for the places I can best serve all. I am grateful for my amazing husband and wonderful family and friends who love, accept, and support me. Thank you for my ancestors who paved the way for me to go the places I go, do the things I do and be the person I am. Thank you for the many blessings in my life. One of my favorite books when I was young was titled "Joni:  An Unforgettable Story".
