Chatting With Sherri welcomes back author and screenwriter; Buzz Dixon! CHEEKY -When troublemaker Dimbulb Gilhooey learns an old clothing-optional law is still on the books, he starts a movement that turns the town of Newbridge topsy-turvy. It's a summer of sun-baked shenanigans as Dimbulb and his followers challenge pastors, police, politicians, and public propriety for the right to bare arms -- as well as the rest of their bodies. Preposterous? Far-fetched? Utterly unbelievable? Maybe -- if it wasn't inspired by actual real life events! (cover art by Travis Hanson)" Heartbreaks & Half-truths: 22 Stories of Mystery & Suspense -, Buzz Dixon (Contributor),- Lovers and losers; The twenty-two authors represented in this collection of mystery and suspense interpret the overarching theme of “heartbreaks and half-truths” in their own inimitable style, where only one thing is certain: Behind every broken heart lies a half-truth. And behind every half-truth lies a secret. Buzz Dixon is a writer of novels, comic books, films , and cartoons. His cartoon work includes both writing and editing credits. He wrote numerous episodes of GI Joe: A Real American Hero, The Transformers, Thundarr the Barbarian, Jem, Inhumanoids, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Tiny Toon Adventures, Tarzan and the Super 7, Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light, Dungeons & Dragons and Teen Wolf. He also served as a story editor for the GI Joe and Teen Wolf series, and was a story consultant on G.I. Joe: The Movie and My Little Pony: The Movie.

It’s a LIVE panel from Dragon Con 2016! A presentation of the American Sci-Fi Classics Track – Larry Hama answers questions about GI Joe, the universe, and everything! Larry Hama is the man that created identities for the characters of the 1980s iteration of GI Joe – the 3.75” Real American Hero line. He wrote the file cards for the entire toy line. Duke, Zartan, Roadblock, Cobra Commander and all of the rest came from the mind of a man who only ever wanted to draw cartoon animals. And his characterizations were so strong that to this day they are still the touchstones of the franchise, even thirty years later. Not only is Mr. Hama responsible for these beloved characters’ personalities, he is also the writer for the entire run of the GI Joe: A Real American Hero comic book, which continues to this day. Listen in as the great Larry Hama discusses topics ranging from the whimsical to the emotional and extremely personal in this incredible episode of the Needless Things Podcast! Be sure to join the Needless Things Podcast Facebook Group and get in on the conversation for this week’s episode! GI Joe Week continues as the Grumpy Old Fans go through three Marvel-era issues of GI Joe: A Real American Hero (#1, #21, and #50) and three IDW-era issues (#155 1/2, #177, and #178). How do Dan and Mike feel about Larry Hama changing the focus of the series from the Joes to ninjas, just how violent are the comics compared to the cartoon, and does the silent issue deserve the praise it's received throughout the years? There's only one way to find out, and you know what that is! Make sure to visit the Earth-2.net store: http://store.earth-2.net
