Isn't that what we all want?If that's what you want, then it's time for you to embrace your lazy self. This is a Podcarpet episode of the podcast, which means I may wander off-topic a bit. But I think it's an important conversation for us to have. The reason is that over the last few months, I have noticed on my course calls that a lot of people seem to struggle with being nice to themselves and with this belief that they have to work hard and harder (and the hardest!) to get better results or to get any results.I want to give you some examples here because I think that they are insightful as to the different ways that this hustle culture and perfectionist society impact us as business owners.... full show notes at: tashcorbin.com/410Follow Tash on Facebook: facebook.com/tashcorbincoachingJoin the Heart-Centred Soul-Driven Entrepreneurs: facebook.com/groups/hcsdeLet me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!

Whether it's selling a group program like the Take Off program, or selling a VIP package to work with me, what do you think gets the most sales for me in my business? You might be surprised to learn that even at this stage of my business, my number one strategy is sales conversations. My number one sales strategy is talking to people one-on-one (whether it's in writing or on a Zoom call), making sure that I understand what it is that they're looking for, what they need and what they're struggling with, and then helping them to work out what the best next step might be for us to work together...And we do that on a sales conversation.Hearing that might make you feel a bit EEEEEKKK because as a buyer, you may have experienced one of those pushy sales conversations, or as a seller, you may have felt a bit awkward when doing sales conversations. It's something that a lot of people try to avoid very clearly in their business. They don't want to face up to having to hear the rejection one-on-one. Or they find it really awkward and uncomfortable because they think they need to be pushy or they need to be switched on and in sales mode. But that's not the case.In today's episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I'm going to walk you through my consent-based sales conversation structure. The reason why I want to do that is because:1. When you see it all laid out, you'll see why it's so effective.2. Having that structure will help you to feel more comfortable in having sales conversations yourself.3. Seeing the consent-based approach to sales conversations really highlights the difference between consent-based sales conversations and those pushy aggressive sales conversations. That will help you as both a buyer and a seller.... show notes in full are at: tashcorbin.com/407Follow Tash on Facebook: facebook.com/tashcorbincoachingJoin the Heart-Centred Soul-Driven Entrepreneurs: facebook.com/groups/hcsdeLet me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!

Don't forget to film it."This has been a topic of conversation a few times in different circles that I am very honoured and so fortunate to be part of.One of those is a masterminding group with a few very successful business owners from Australia and overseas. We had a conversation two years ago where more and more we were seeing that different parts of our lives were not for public consumption. Some of the people in the group were talking about how when they had their kids that really became more prominent for them. In other cases, it was just this feeling of not wanting to milk every element of their life for content anymore. For me, that's always been the case. There are parts of my life that I don't share with my business content.... show notes in full are at: tashcorbin.com/405Follow Tash on Facebook: facebook.com/tashcorbincoachingJoin the Heart-Centred Soul-Driven Entrepreneurs: facebook.com/groups/hcsdeLet me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!

It doesn't take into account anyone wanting to start a business with limited time.At least I assume that that's what they're saying, because when they talk about all the things that you HAVE to be doing, otherwise you're leaving money on the table and you'll never be successful in business, there's no way you can jam all of that in if you've got limited time.In today's episode, I'm going to talk to you about starting a business with limited time.Whether that is because you're starting it as a side hustle, you have household responsibilities, you are unwell, or some other reason, I want to help you create business growth and sustainable profitability as quickly as possible with that limited time.Let's dive into this juicy practical episode about starting a business with limited time!If you haven't yet heard me speak about the hours that I work in my business, you may not realise that at this point, I am still working less than 20 hours a week in my business.A big reason for that is because I had surgery in 2021 that was a result of some very terrible health issues, and my recovery from that surgery was terrible. Watch, read or listen at: tashcorbin.com/336It's important that you fill that gap first, because if you're making zero sales when you're only reaching a tiny audience, then if we multiply that audience by 100, you're still going to make zero sales... zero times 100 is still zero....Show notes in full are at: tashcorbin.com/401Follow Tash on Facebook: https://facebook.com/tashcorbincoaching Join the Heart-Centred Soul-Driven Entrepreneurs: https://facebook.com/groups/hcsde

In fact, you only need 21 episodes of a podcast to make it into the top 1% these days.LESSON: You don't need to record too many podcast episodes for you to be more tenacious and have more staying power than other people. To celebrate 400 episodes, I recently asked listeners of the podcast to submit questions for this special episode. We have some fantastic questions about podcasting, business, accessibility, social media, and more.We are going to have some fun conversations today!Full breakdown of the questions and question-askers can be found here: tashcorbin.com/400

But wanted to bring them to the podcast so that we can dive a little bit deeper, start some epic convos, and just have a little carpet time together. The whole premise behind doing these pod carpets is to have an exploratory conversation about a particular topic or a question that's come up...This first one starts with a moment of gratitude.I recently did a webinar where I was talking about how grateful I am that I didn't have a lot of money when I first started my business.I really do believe that if I had had $20,000 to start my business, not only would I have spent that money on things that wouldn't have moved me forward... but it would have also slowed down my progress in starting my business....Show notes in full are at: tashcorbin.com/399Follow Tash on Facebook: https://facebook.com/tashcorbincoaching Join the Heart-Centred Soul-Driven Entrepreneurs: https://facebook.com/groups/hcsde

Let the productivity pod... BEGIN!These are my top productivity boosters, that I use at the start and end of my day... most days. Let's start by covering the end of day first, because my end of day routine feeds into my start of day routine on the next day that I work in my business.Firstly - I have the same end of day routine, no matter what time I finish up! Some days, I'm finished my day by 10am... because my key tasks are DONE, and I get to decide if I want to dive into more, or if I'm done. The end of my work day can be at very different times of the day, but I always end off with the same little closing down routine:Tracking my income: I calculate and track my income received since my last income tracking (generally the end of the previous day).Quick journaling: Usually this is simply 2-3 sentences about how I'm feeling. The prompts vary, but it's generally about my output (what I've done today) or my outcomes (what results have come in today).Tomorrow's priorities: I flip to the next day of my planner, and I write down my top three actions for the next day. This is particularly important, because that sets up my 'start of day' routine for the next day (as you'll see in the following section).Laptop shutdown: Once I have my top 3 tasks for the next day, I shut down my computer. YES, every day, I close all the tabs down. I shut down properly, and then close the lid of my laptop.Planner on top: My final step - I pop my planner on top of my laptop. I'm literally making it impossible for me to open my laptop the next day without picking up my planner. My end of day routine is something that's taken years to refine... but it works so well for me.Why income tracking and...Read the full article at: tashcorbin.com/398

Of course, I'm also going to tell you how to spot that red flag in what they are teaching online. There are plenty of things that give me the ick, because there are plenty of mediocre and quite frankly dodgy business coaches out there... and I think you'll be surprised by the biggest red flag I look out for!PLUS I can't wait to hear if it's one you look out for as well... and I have a special invitation for you to test and question me!SOUND LIKE FUN??Let's get into it! Here for the links referenced in the show notes?Come and ask a question: tashcorbin.com/question I'll be honest - there are plenty of things that turn me off from business coaches, mentors and gurus.Especially these ones:Toxic marketing: bypassing people's consent in their sales and marketing process.Agitation-based messaging: Share giant results and minimise the effort required to get them. This makes audiences feel inadequate, because they haven't done this one little thing that would create massive results... all they need to do is work with the coach and BOOM their life will be fabulous. So much ick!Hustle-oriented messaging: Particularly coaches recommending the 5am club. A lot of 'hustle' content is created by straight white men (with wives who take care of all the household responsibilities) for straight white men (with wives who take care of all the household responsibilities). They say it's applicable to everyone, but they're coming from a privileged position that they can't even see is privileged. You've likely heard me say, "I care not for sunrises". I don't know about you, but I have had a task on my list for years: collect and share client testimonials.Whilst I do have some testimonials here and there, I don't share client testimonials or results on socials or in content consistently. So people ask me about that a bit, and ask if I'm worried about the sales I'm missing out on by not using them.I thought for this episode, we could have a conversation about some of the benefits and risks of using client testimonials, and why I actually choose NOT to use them in my business in the way other people do.Let's dive into this one, shall we? Let's talk testimonials!A client testimonial is usually a story about working with you in your client's words. For example: "I worked with Tash and before doing her program, working with her was such a joy and she really understood me."  And then there's the name and photo of the person who gave that testimonial. They are literally giving testimony as to the experience of and results from working with someone.A client result is where the mentor or provider shares a result that a client has achieved. This is often done through the lens of 'celebrating them' - e.g. "I want to celebrate my client who just went from here to there. So proud of you." These tend to be shared in a variety of ways - sometimes with the person's name, sometimes without... sometimes they are tagged... but not always. It doesn't always have to relate to a financial outcome - it could be that someone has finally published their book, or got their course out into the world or they've just finished their launch with 15 sales. Here's my take on sharing client results:Where that client result is something that you do not promise, I don't believe it is ethical to share that result. Where that client result is dependent on undisclosed existing results, assets, or additional work and investment, I also don't feel it is ethical. There are a number of reasons why:How do we know that that client result is actually verifiable and real, especially when their full name isn't included and they aren't tagged? It's so easy for those results to be faked. The use of those client results, especially where they are wildly out of the ordinary, is part of an agitation marketing strategy. Seeing someone else's result, that is almost unimaginable for you to achieve (and certainly not quickly) makes your audience uncomfortable. And it's done on purpose. The goal is to create agitation about the existing state they are in.... read the rest at tashcorbin.com/396

But I think it's an important topic to cover with some depth.Let's discuss why I don't (often) recommend charging for webinars.I know there's a groundswell of charging people for webinars, and it's commonly said that if people buy one thing from you, they're far more likely to buy another thing. There is a lot of logic behind why charging for webinars is such a good idea and why it is believed to be an amazing strategy. But some of that logic is outdated. And a lot of the data is flawed and not relevant to our businesses today.I'm going to lay out why I don't generally recommend it, and what I would recommend doing instead. And yes, I'll probably regret recording this episode because I'm going to get a bunch of #buttashes. Those who seek an enduring happiness and freedom through a path of awakening often find themselves rich in spirit, but constantly struggling to keep the lights on, literally. This is especially true for creators, social entrepreneurs and heart based business owners who lead with their values. Survival and success requires that we first go through the fire of reconciling our relationship with money. Rather than being the root of all evil, money can be a natural expression of the inherent richness at the core of the human spirit, even in an unjust economic system. In this episode of Awake In Relationships I speak with Mark Silver, business mentor and author of Heart centred business: Healing from a toxic business culture so your small business can thrive about the possibilities that arise when we put love and our deepest values at the center of our work and business. In today's episode, I'm answering the question: Do you really need to be in a business mastermind? The ultimate answer is no, you don't. But what I want to share with you in this episode is how to decide whether a mastermind is the right fit for you right now, as well as the different types of masterminds that are available and when there might be some signs that it's time to jump into one. I've already answered the primary question - no, you don't always need to be in a mastermind. It's not something that is non-negotiable when it comes to growing your business. I've seen that said a few times and I would hesitate a guess that that person runs a very expensive mastermind and that's why they're telling you that you have to be in one at all times. However, there are some deeper things that I'd love to explore further in this episode. In this episode, I am joined by the amazing Lien from The Big Exit, who will be talking all about your business exit plan. Lien and I met at The Rose Farm with Denise Duffield-Thomas last December, and we had some really amazing conversations about exiting businesses. As someone who has a personal brand and a few products that could potentially be sold off in my business, I had never thought about preparing my business for exit in advance. I always thought I would just cross that bridge when I came to it. But Lien and I had such fascinating conversations that I just HAD to invite her onto the podcast, because I think a lot of us just assume that we're going to be running our businesses forever and we're never going to want to leave it. However, even if that's the case, there are still some things that we can do to ensure we're building the foundations of our business and getting everything really solid. Lien also shares her free quiz to help you determine whether your business is ready to be sold, and provides you with some actionable steps to help you work on your business exit plan. In this episode, I'm going to share with you how to nail FB Lives for business. We had this come in as a listener question, and I want to break it down into some really tangible practical strategies so that you can make sure that live video content is doing its job in your business. Given that most of this is based on social media buyer psychology, meta algorithms and viewer buyer behaviour, this will also apply to Instagram Lives as a strategy (in most cases). But full disclosure from me: I've never once watched an Instagram Live. Nor have I ever posted an Instagram Live. There may be some nuances that I don't cover because I'm going to focus mainly on Facebook, but a lot of this will apply. In this episode, I'm joined by the AMAZING Amanda Heal who will be sharing a bit of her journey as someone who was born blind. We'll also be talking all about her experience keynote speaking, as well as some of the key themes she teaches, including courage and resilience. Amanda is a resilience expert with an extraordinary life story. She survived being born 14 weeks premature in the 70s when such tiny babies were not deemed viable. She was so small, her father could hold her in his hand. The oxygen that kept her alive at birth damaged her eyes, leaving her totally blind. Despite this, Amanda has continued to surprise people with her professional and personal achievements. After graduating with Honours in Law from the Australian National University, she embarked on a 17-year legal career. In her spare time, she climbed to an altitude of 10,000 feet in Nepal and conquered her phobia of getting lost to travel independently, both within Australia and overseas. In her keynote talks, Amanda shares her five keys to increasing resilience by building courage. When she's not speaking, she's a podcaster and the author of multiple books, the latest being Seeing By Vision, Not By Sight.
