Full article and relevant links at tashcorbin.com/464Today's episode reveals a critical, but often overlooked, key to launching successfully - especially if you're launching a digital program or product (such as a course, or membership). It's the 'forgotten' component that can make a huge difference to your results AND your effort required to achieve them - so let's ensure we get it sorted. It's day 3 of #Tashmas!Wait... What is #Tashmas?I do it for both my birthday (1-12 March) and pre-Christmas (1-12 December) every year! Every day from now until my birthday on 12th March, there will be a new daily podcast episode, with a hot tip or practical strategy as per usual... but you ALSO get a gift! I love sharing the birthday vibes, and what better way to do that?! The daily gift could be a freebie, a special offer, a competition... but there will be something for YOU every single day.Today's gift has two parts - a free training you can access any time, AND a bonus live call to go deeper and answer your questions! ALL FOR FREE. Grab it at tashcorbin.com/audienceWhat do I mean by "launching successfully"?Let's start with a quick definition. Launches are limited-time campaigns, where you release a product, course, membership, or package using time sensitive events to attract hot leads and make sales. You might be launching a new course, or it could be a relaunch, like how I launch the Take Off Program around three times each year.During a launch, I might run webinars to help people get closer to being ready to purchase the offer. Most launches last eight to ten weeks, though some can be as short as two weeks. For my own business, four to eight weeks is average. This short-term focus can catch you when planning your year, as you may go from an eight-week window launching one product to another, staying stuck in that short-term mindset of consistently launching... which can end up making them less successful. The forgotten launch keyTo deliver successful launches repeatedly, you need a key component that's often forgotten: long-term audience growth. For each launch to be successful, it needs to reach wider and bigger audiences, especially warm ones.Keep reading and grab relevant links at tashcorbin.com/464Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!Join the Take Off program for Leads at Speed in April!Doors close on 7th March - tashcorbin.com/takeoff

Are you ready to take your health into your own hands in the new year? Are you ready to make nutrition and wellness a part of your everyday routine so that you can achieve your health goals and feel your best all year long without it taking over life? You've come to the right place!Welcome to Salad with a Side of Fries, the podcast where balance meets results and wellness seamlessly fits into real life. In this episode, Jenn kicks off the new year by answering listener questions, debunking common nutrition myths and offering her top tips for making health and wellness a part of your everyday routine. She discusses essential supplements, the pros and cons of health-tracking apps, and why eating fresh, whole foods is key to feeling your best. Jenn also shares her approach to tackling some of the most common challenges people face when starting their wellness journey, including maintaining consistency, avoiding misinformation, and figuring out how to stay on track when life gets busy. This episode is a great place to start 2025 off strong (and stay that way). The Salad With a Side of Fries podcast is hosted by Jenn Trepeck, discussing wellness and weight loss for real life, clearing up the myths, misinformation, bad science & marketing surrounding our nutrition knowledge and the food industry. Let's dive into wellness and weight loss for real life, including drinking, eating out, and skipping the grocery store.IN THIS EPISODE: [4:27] Common nutrition myths to debunk[6:31] Five things to consider to flush out fad diets or misinformation[8:57] What is the difference between weight loss and fat loss[10:40] Is late-night eating harmful to your metabolism[14:49] How to start the year off right with supplements and are electrolyte drinks worth it[19:37] Can health-tracking apps support or hinder health[25:55] How can you maintain a consistent routine of physical activity all year, not just in January[29:49] Suggestions for enjoying sweet treats[31:57] Top nutritional foods to add to your diet. Hint: Fresh is best![34:52] How many carbs can you have daily to lose weight[38:08] How much protein does one need, and from what sources[43:00] Jenn advises anyone working toward setting new goals: consistency is  king[46:56] Consider joining the Healthy Vibe Tribe; it's not too lateKEY TAKEAWAYS: Debunking Nutrition Myths for 2025: Some outdated guidelines, like the food pyramid/MyPlate and meal plans requiring fruit and grain at breakfast, are still in use but should be reconsidered. Additionally, elimination diets and medication-assisted weight loss are gaining media attention, but these are not permanent solutions. Focusing on health, not just weight or the number on the scale, is encouraged for 2025, recognizing that holistic well-being involves more than body metrics. How to Identify Reliable Nutrition Advice: To differentiate reliable nutrition advice from fad diets, consider the source and who benefits from the information. Look for scientifically sound studies, be aware of personal biases, use common sense, and avoid jumping to conclusions based on correlation versus causation. Additionally, avoid getting distracted by clickbait or trendy health advice and focus on understanding your body's needs.Consistency is Key: To maintain a daily exercise routine beyond January, it's essential to plan for your most challenging days, not the ideal ones. Choose realistic goals that are small and measurable, ensuring they can be completed every day, even on busy days. Focus on the process rather than just the outcome (e.g., moving your body for 10 minutes daily instead of solely focusing on weight loss).Mental and Physical Health Are Interconnected: Mental wellness and physical health are deeply connected, with the vagus nerve linking the gut and brain. Starting with physical activities and feeding your body nutritious foods, makes it easier to focus on mental health, creating a positive cycle where each aspect supports the other.QUOTES: [6:00] “I'd like to encourage everybody for 2025 to make the objective health, rather than the number on the scale. And realize that what we do for one area also impacts other areas of our health,  so we don't have to take on the world in January to improve our health.” Jenn Trepeck[16:27] “Quality matters when it comes to supplementation. Formulas that use better ingredients, the more bioavailable ingredients, that are formulated with nutrients that help the body use the proper ingredients are all at play here. So that piece of it is called bioactivity, the body's ability to use it. Bioavailability is the body's ability to absorb it. So we need both things present when we take supplements.” Jenn Trepeck[26:13] "Plan for your most challenging day, not your ideal day."Jenn Trepeck [35:34] " 'How many carbs should I be eating for whatever goal?' is sort of a mixed up question, because it's not the quantity, it's the quality. If what you're eating has tons of fiber, then you can have more  carbohydrates in a day than if the carbs you're eating are all coming from potato chips." Jenn Trepeck[42:31] "You are what you eat, but you are also what you ate, ate.” Jenn TrepeckRESOURCES:Learn more about Healthy Vibe Tribe on Jan 6 at 8pm ETReady to jump into the Healthy Vibe Tribe? Have you heard about The Key to The Castle workshops for writers? The next one is taking place in Torre di Cittara, Italy from October 19th to 26th this year. Kathy Curto, Patricia Dunn, William Papaleo and Angela Derecas Taylor are behind this. It's their signature workshop on the Amalfi Coast but they offer workshops for writers, artists and yoga enthusiasts both online, locally in the NY area and in other cool places abroad. I found about  this when ran into Angela at a writer's event. I'd known her from her days working in the mayor's office in my city. When she retired 2 years ago - she started this cool company.   So who is the ideal participant for a writers trip to Italy? Someone who is open to adventure and discovery as a community of artists.    One benefit of working as an artist in community with others is the gaining of new insight, particularly when it comes to ways of seeing and valuing their own work. This applies on the page, the mat, out in the natural world and on the canvas.    An ideal student also recognizes the importance of getting away from their own day to day life to experience the illuminating effects of travel and the sharing of culture—in all ways.   Many students attend their workshops to collect fresh understandings of their own promise as artists and to gain the variety of perspectives that come from being in a new place.   Kathy and Patricia joined me in the studio to tell us all about it. Kathy says, “The Key To the Castle is  sort of our signature program and that is in October for, and as  Pat said, writers really of all levels. We do writing and painting primarily and some meditation and yoga and lots of eating and sort of collaborating with one another. It's really community driven. We've been doing it for several years now in Cittara. We have a great relationship with the community, with the merchants there, with the people who help us actually organize the housing and the trips. You actually stay in this beautiful fishing town right the Amalfi coast and everybody gets apartments like the person that arranges you it's like condos Everybody gets their condos and then we actually do the writing right in the castle.”   Seems many great writers just don't really ‘get it' until they are with other people who bring it out in them and see it. Pat said,  “You can write alone, and you might get to certain things in your work, but until you share it with people you trust, in a safe environment, you're not going to get the kind of feedback that you need to move on to the next step unless you want to wait 25, 30 years.” Wow. Who the heck has that kind of time to waste? LOL If this sounds like something you'd like to know more about check out KeysToTheCastleWorkshop.com. Welcome to part two, of this two part episode with Brandon Rowan, aka Birocratic. In case you missed part one of this conversation, Birocratic is a Brooklyn-based producer, making sample-based beats in the vein of ‘70s funk and old-school New York hip hop, augmented by live-recorded bass guitar and synthesizer. Birocratic's Beets albums have topped the Bandcamp hip-hop charts. And Birocratic has toured the US multiple times, including stops at venues like Red Rocks in Colorado. Finally, Birocratic has co-written songs with Grammy-award winning artists. Birocratic currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.If you have not already, I can't recommend enough that you check out part one of this convo we where discussed:- Approaching your creative process through a place of excitement and fun versus hard work.- Lessons learned from giving lessons to other producers.- Motivation.- Making money and its place in artistic development- AND, of course, our mini-listening session, where we played a couple tracks and talked about what we heard. Now, in part two of this conversation, we discuss:- The importance of establishing your own purpose- Appreciating the amount of work behind the scenes of others who appear to be “ahead” of you.- Building Relationships through collaboration.- The state of streaming as it relates to beats.- Building an audience of true fans of what you do.- How Birocratic went from making beats in his dorm room to catching a buzz and developing his career. As you'll hear throughout this conversation, Birocratic has a deep passion for making music. Birocratic continues to explore and expand his horizons while spreading motivation and encouragement to others around him. This conversation is full of ideas to keep you moving forward.Top 3 Gems From This Convo:1. DECIDE ON YOUR WHY. If you develop your own sense of purpose and direction as to why you are pursuing what is you pursue, you are less likely to be distracted or thrown off of balance by the whims and opinions of others.2. LEAN BACK LISTENERS ARE STEP 1. Do Not Forget: A large quantity of passive consumers is not necessarily a signal that you have a real fan/customer base. If building an audience is something you have decided is a priority (see Gem 1), explore ways in which you can develop direct relationships with people who are interested in what you do.3. DON'T OVEREMPHASIZE VANITY MECTRICSThe gamification of much of what we do and share online can lead us to focus on areas that don't serve our growth and development. It is important to monitor goals and purpose (again, See Gem 1), while ensuring that your efforts are directed to help you reach them.Listen on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.Tap in with toru:Substack: Instagram: @torubeattiktok: @torubeatTap in with Birocratic:email: birocratic@gmail.comInstagram: @birocraticTo jump to a specific moment in the conversation:00:00 Introduction 02:20 In It For The Money 02:30 The Value and Importance of Purpose 05:02 Lack of Visibility into The Careers Of Others 05:20 Birocratic's Trajectory and Origin 09:50 Outreach and Hustle (finding places for your music) 11:00 Appreciating the Work of Others You Can't See 11:56 Taking action based on context 12:15 Building Relationships and Offering music in the world and era of tiktok and digital creators 13:08 Honesty about where you are in your career 15:12 Valuing Your Own Music 15:40 Chillhop Music History and Birocratic's Role in its development 19:50 Starting From a Place of Creating Quality/Adopting a Long-Term View 20:30 The rise of other labels following the model demonstrated by Chillhop 20:50 The State of Lofi and Streaming 23:30 Ideas for approaching relationship building 25:40 How Music Works and the Quality of a Music Scene 26:20 Meet Your Internet Friends IRL 27:30 Lean Back Listeners and How to Build an Audience 28:00 Monthly Listeners Talk 28:30 Monthly Listeners v. In this captivating video, we delve into the profound wisdom of John chapter 10, which sheds light on the eternal life that His sheep possess. We demystify the concept of eternal life and explore the divine gift of this unending, spiritual existence. Join us as we uncover seven invaluable lessons from this enlightening scripture. Highlights Eternal Life Defined: Eternal life, as described in John 10:28, is not a myth but a divine truth. It is an everlasting, unending life that goes on forever. It's simpler than we sometimes make it out to be. Spiritual vs. Physical: Eternal life is not about our physical existence but the divine life of Christ within us. Without eternal life, we are spiritually dead. The importance of this revelation cannot be overstated. The Call to Life: Jesus extends a heartfelt invitation for all to come to Him and receive eternal life. It's a gift freely offered, but it requires our choice to accept it. In John 5:40, the poignant truth emerges – "and you will not come." The Miracle of Regeneration: Eternal life is a result of the miraculous transformation known as regeneration. Being born again is the gateway to seeing the kingdom of God. It's a new life, a fresh start, available to all. The Son is the Key: To possess eternal life, we must have the Son of God. It's that simple. "He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." This uncomplicated truth resonates deeply. Life Abundantly: In John 10:10, we learn that eternal life is not merely existence but life to the fullest. It's a rich, abundant life that transcends mere survival. This abundant life is an exclusive gift to His sheep. Grace and Faith: Salvation and eternal life are not earned through works but received by grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 emphasizes that it's God's gift to us, unmerited and overflowing with His love. In conclusion, His sheep undoubtedly possess eternal life – a gift of divine grace, available to all who come to Jesus. This eternal life is not some distant promise; it's a present reality that we can know and cherish. No need to wait for the afterlife; you can have the assurance of eternal life now by placing your trust in the Son of God. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gnbc/message

In today's video, we explore the profound lessons on spiritual warfare and faith. The central theme revolves around the efforts to bring loved ones to Christ and the spiritual conflicts encountered in this journey. We delve into the key takeaways and highlight the importance of faith, prayer, and perseverance in this spiritual battle. Highlights The Power of Faith: The video emphasizes the significance of faith as a powerful weapon against the spiritual conflicts faced while trying to bring loved ones to Christ. It's described as the "shield of faith" that quenches the fiery darts of the enemy. Spiritual Warfare: Understanding that the battle to save souls involves wrestling not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces and darkness. Recognizing the existence of this spiritual warfare is crucial. Preparation is Key: To stand firm in the face of adversity, believers are urged to put on the whole armor of God, including truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. This preparation is essential for victory. Perseverance and Prayer: The video underscores the importance of unwavering perseverance and continuous prayer in the journey to bring loved ones to Christ. These are vital elements in the spiritual battle. Expecting Opposition: Believers should anticipate opposition, skepticism, and even mockery from others when they embark on the mission of bringing loved ones to Christ. Jesus faced skepticism too. Delighting in the Lord: While waiting for the desired outcome, it's essential to find joy and fulfillment in the Lord. Delighting in Him and His promises can sustain believers through challenging times. The Miracle of Transformation: Just as Jesus brought Jairus' daughter back to life, this devotion reminds us that even when situations appear dire, miracles can happen when we persist in faith and prayer. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gnbc/message

#84: Unlocking Your Potential: Conquering Tight Hip Flexors for Improved GAA Performance!

The Lean Body Podcast

As a dedicated GAA player, you know that every aspect of your physical condition plays a crucial role in your performance on the pitch. One common issue that many athletes encounter is tight hip flexors. These muscles, responsible for flexing the hip joint and aiding in explosive movements, can often become tight and restrict your range of motion. Fear not, though, as there are effective steps you can take to alleviate this problem and improve your game. In this podcast, we will delve into effective stretches, glute-strengthening exercises, consistency, and additional insights to help you transform your performance. 1. Stretching for Freedom: Regular stretching is a key component in combating tight hip flexors. Here are a few stretches to incorporate into your routine: a) Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch: Kneel on one knee while keeping your opposite foot flat on the ground. Push your hips forward, maintaining a straight back, until you feel a gentle stretch in the front hip. Hold for 30 seconds on each side. b) Pigeon Pose: Begin in a plank position, then bring one leg forward and rest the ankle on the opposite thigh. Slowly lower your hips towards the ground and feel the stretch in your hips. Hold for 30 seconds on each side. c) Cobra Stretch: Lie on your stomach and place your hands under your shoulders. Push upwards, straightening your arms while arching your back, to stretch your hip flexors. Hold for 30 seconds. 2. Strengthen Your Glutes:  While addressing tight hip flexors is important, it is equally crucial to work on strengthening your glute muscles. Weak glutes can contribute to the tightness in your hip flexors. Incorporate these gym exercises into your routine to enhance glute strength: a) Squats: With feet shoulder-width apart, descend into a squat position, keeping your back straight and weight in your heels. Engage your glutes as you return to the starting position. Aim for 3 sets of 10-12 reps. b) Hip Thrusts: Lie flat on your back with knees bent and feet hip-width apart, and rest your upper back on a bench or elevated surface. Drive your hips upwards, squeezing your glutes at the top and lowering yourself back down. Perform 3 sets of 10-12 reps. c) Lunges: Step forward with one foot, lowering your body until both knees reach a 90-degree angle. Push off the floor with your front foot, actively engaging your glutes. Repeat with the other leg. Aim for 3 sets of 10-12 reps on each leg. 3. Consistency is Key: To truly make progress and overcome tight hip flexors, consistency is vital. Incorporate stretching and glute-strengthening exercises into your regular training routine. Aim for at least three sessions per week, dedicating time to both stretching and strengthening. Over time, your efforts will pay off, and improvements in range of motion and performance will become evident. 4. Additional Tips: a) Warm-up and cool down properly before and after each training session or game to prevent further tightness or injury. b) Engaging in activities like swimming or cycling can help provide a break from the repetitive movements of GAA, aiding in overall flexibility. c) Focus on maintaining good posture throughout the day, as poor posture can contribute to tight hip flexors. Conclusion: Conquering tight hip flexors can lead to substantial improvements in your GAA performance. With a combination of consistent stretching, glute-strengthening exercises, and an overall focus on flexibility, you will unlock greater range of motion, explosiveness, and agility on the pitch. So, embrace these exercises, commit to your routine, and watch as your game reaches new heights. Remember, progress is not achieved overnight, but through dedication and persistency – let your hip flexors never hold you back again! Building better AppSec Teams: Communication, Collaboration, and Cloud

Reimagining Cyber

Kristen Bell, Senior Manager of Application Security Engineering at GuidePoint Security, is back, sharing her insights into “Building better AppSec teams: Communication, collaboration, and culture.” Two weeks ago, Bell joined the Reimagining Cyber team, Rob Aragao and Stan Wisseman, to share her perspective on “Governing a better AppSec program by empowering dev teams.” Collaboration is KeyTo build a better AppSec team, Bell explains the importance of collaboration. Many developers have a bad taste in their mouths when it comes to automation. Developing a multi-phased approach where you can share each step and mitigate any barriers to adoption (for example, many developers don't like a lot of “noise” or false positives), can be helpful. When it comes to the actual scanning itself, Bell recommends doing a lot of work on the front end to make it run as smoothly as possible, ensuring the highest-quality results for ease of use. Additionally, she recommends integrating a ticketing system like JIRA to provide a continuous feedback loop. This way, you can pull metrics to show return on investment. Lastly, Bell recommends getting buy-in from application developers and owners. With skin in the game and a seat at the table, they'll have influence and investment in the security program's direction. Communicate, communicate, communicateCreating a streamlined and organized communications approach when building out your AppSec team is crucial. It is critical to have one centralized location to house all information for your security team, whether it's standards or blueprints. “It's super important that if you're building a portal, or a Wiki, or this one-stop-shop, for the developers, to have these self-service options, they need to know it exists,” Bell says. Reiterating it in multiple ways (an All Hands call, a newsletter, an e-mail) is critical. You have to remind people 13 times before they'll remember something.Get out into the communityThere's OWASP, ISACA, (ISC)2, ISSA and lots of different kinds of AppSec and cybersecurity related organizationsthat team members can go and be active in in their local communities. I would also encourage people on the security team, if you go to a conference, invited the good AppSec-related speakers in to speak to the team or the developers. They usually are looking for opportunities to engage and are open to do it.AppSec in the CloudBuilding a Cloud-centric AppSec team has its challenges. Bell recommends: •Separation of duties: Developers don't typically have access to production and don't make changes in production. However, when it comes to the Cloud, that all changes. By creating different profiles and having people commit to certain tasks allows teams to divide and conquer. •Threat modeling: Bell recommends running threat models, testing different scenarios and looking at data flows and trust boundaries to help document repeatable processes and confirming adherence to compliance requirements (like geolocation of data).•Testing automation: DAST services allow you to now test GUI-less technologies to understand Have you tried any of these tips when building out your AppSec team? Do you have any to add to Bell's suggestions? Let us know in the comments.

For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” 29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” 30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? Intro:We daily are faced with constant distractions. At times we may think that these "little" distractions will not cause us to fall nor lead us to our old habits , cycles, and  temptations. The truth of it all is that exact thinking is what is keeping us hostage. It is a lie the enemy (Devil) himself loves to feed us with daily. Just a little of this or that can't do any harm. Let me say, I have been there , you have been there we have all fallen short of God's glory. It's those exact moments we find ourselves in good standing with God our faith is a smooth ride and then right when we think we are strong  we fall . We fall to the devils lies and temptations. Today , we will dive in deeper to  why we fall back into our old living habits and patterns that the lord has or continues to deliver us from.   Spoiler alert, you will overcome you have the victory through Jesus Christ sin has no hold on you! Take Away:Scenerio: Young man dealing with the addiction of lust and pornography. To feed the flesh is to succumb to  the lies of the enemy in turn , falling prey to sin.Sin just doesn't happen it is an intention that we must be aware of the temptation. To be aware of our thoughts is key to take our power back from the temptation to sin.The devil knows our very weakness. He knows what entices our eyes , our ears , and  our very flesh. The lord will always give you a way out, but must adhere to the lords rescue.James 1:13 "Remember when you are being tempted do not say God is tempting me".Where do our Temptations come from? When we feed our flesh it will become stronger  meaning it will harder to overcome the temptations. What are the things, people, places that you're letting in that are making an influence to drive your actions to succumb to these temptations. The world becomes more alluring when we feed our flesh .James 4:4 "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God".To deny our spirit will lead us to  become perfecters of sin.The freedom comes when we come to feed our spirit. If sin is what you are currently dealing with there is hope.Reflection: What is it that I have been feeding myself lately?Have you been feeding your flesh or spirit?Identify it and take action ask God to help you overcome it.1 Corinthians 10:13 "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure".Your weapon?  Use the word of God to counter attack the fiery darts of the enemy and temptation.Expose to the light the temptations that keep on rising within your life. The enemy will disguise himself as the angel of light to lead you into temptation and sin.Key: To know the word of God is to be victorious over the enemy.Reflection: What area in your life is sin active  when you're frustrated, sad, angry?Key:  To overcome sin feed the spirit and not the flesh.Additional Resources: Subscribe for more contentFollow: @FlourishForChrist (Instagram)                   Any Prayer Requests? Contact: Email: FlourishForChristpc@gmail.com@FlourishForChrist (Instagram) Never forget that you matter and that Jesus Loves you!

FriDudes - Getting Real. Pursuing Truth.

Yes! You are in and thank you for joining this rag-tag bunch of flawed Dudes pursuing Truth. Dr. Lorrits is back and gets the 'Play of the Day' once again. You really want change?! Here you go...Most of us are passionate about change. Some of us for our own lives. Most of us for others' lives. We'll change laws and remove books in order to try and do it. Make no mistake, Dr. Lorrits is 100% correct. You will not see true change without the heart. You are fooling yourself. Whether you believe in God or not, you are not changing anything without heart. To the trivial, you won't quit smoking unless your heart wants it. You absolutely won't eliminate racism and other forms of hate without changing the hearts. For so many that mock the Bible, that is exactly what it says. Love is greatest of all. Hate is the opposite of Love. Check 1 Cor 13:13.On a micro level, back to you, G and GtSurf.org will tell you the same. AA will tell you the same. You are not changing anything in your life without a change of heart. Christians, before you puff your chest out too much, Vaquero Guapo will tell you to keep yourself in check. When in doubt, go back to the Fringe episodes. Love is kind. Love does not boast. Back to 1 Cor 13: 4-8.We must love each other. You want to build a bridge to someone? Love and love means way more than words, it means action. Do kind things for your neighbors and strangers. Do that enough and you will build bridges. You will see change in you and them. Check James 2: 14-26.Oh, of course, shout out to Dr. Bryan Lorrits. If you haven't yet, you must add him to your listen/reflection list. You can find him by searching the Bryan (with a Y) Lorrits Podcast. Thank you Dr. Lorrits! Thank you God for working through Him.Ending on a prayer note, Heavenly Father, thank you for this listener. Please let them know they are not here by accident. Holy Spirit tug on their hearts where they need/want change. Maybe it is less hate. Less jealousy. Less frustration. Less addiction. More Joy. More Peace. More Wisdom. More Truth. More Hope! In Jesus name we pray and ask for this Father, Amen.Ending on a song note, what Dr. Lorrits says is 'Undeniable' at least for this rag tag group. This is 'Undeniable' by Josh Wilson. It's been 2,000 years and hearts still change. Please add this to your "Heart Change" playlist. One heart at a time, that is how we will rally our neighborhood, society, country and world. FOR A LIMITED TIME, SIGN UP TO GET A FREE E-BOOK TO UNLOCK YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE. Click HERE >>// Anatomy of a Past Life + QHHT Regression Session:What to Expect from a QHHT Past Life Regression Session? Basically… We are connecting the subconscious to the conscious.A regression is the through line that is connecting you unlock your subconscious. We are letting the subconscious drive, since normally the conscious is driving. As soon as you ask for a session, my spirit guides and your spirit guides (as the client) are conspiring to make the session unique for you. Lessons of the past can inform us of our purpose in the present and future.** What is QHHT?Also known as “Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique” is the technique I use, which was developed by Dolores Cannon (the godmother of regression therapy), and involves inducing an individual into the Somnambulistic or meditative state of trance through visualization. Ordinarily this state of being is experienced twice daily: the moment just before you become consciously awake and the moment just before you fall asleep.Quantum Healing can help you achieve health, find peace, and create balance.Any individual can gain access to experiences of Past Lives they have lived, and you will discover an infinite knowledge and powerful aspect of your higher self that can be contacted and communicated with. This part of yourself is always present with you and exists just below the surface of your conscious mind. Thus, we appropriately label this state of mind “The Subconscious” , “The Superconscious”, “Source”, or “The Higher Self”.** Ordinary Past Life Regression VS QHHTThe difference between ordinary past life regression and QHHT regression is that we work not only with past lives, but also with the subconscious for instantaneous healings (both emotional and physical) when appropriate. This method has proven to be effective on thousands of people all over the world regardless of their Age, Gender, Personality, Physical Symptoms, Religious Beliefs or Cultural Backgrounds for over 50 years. It has been conclusively supported that we have all lived multiple Past Lives and we all have a Subconscious which contains the answers to any question we may have about ourselves or the life we are living. The resulting healing and wisdom that is received, is truly remarkable and often changes a life profoundly as one becomes more aligned with their Divine Purpose.** What is a Past Life Regression?A Past Life Regression is the first component of the QHHT technique. You will be regressed and guided through an appropriate past life. You will be guided by me, much like a guided visualization meditation, and will settle upon a first scene. You will see significant moments within past lives from one or many lives, and eventually move through to the end of the life and beyond to look back and reflect on themes within that life, and significant traits that may have carried into your current life. Your Subconscious will select what past life to show you, and you will be guided through the experience by myself. The past life scene the Subconscious chooses to show you is always relevant to your current life. You will never be shown something that you are not ready to see.** What is Hypnosis? In short, I'm not going to make you bark like a dog or quack like a duck. Those are silly stage tricks that gave hypnosis a bad name and couldn't be farther off from what we are doing. Instead, this form of hypnosis is more of a guided, visualization in a meditative state, allowing you to connect to your subconscious while I, your therapist, talk you through and help you to heal or uncover questions you may have.Hypnosis is actually very easy, and everyone can be hypnotized. In general, there are (4) Brain Wave states of the mind:1. Beta – wide awake - goal setting- comparing self - conscious mind - logical analyzation2. Alpha – light level of trance - altered state - beliefs and ideas - dream state3. Theta – deepest level of trance - somnambulistic - subconscious connection - memories4. Delta – asleepWe will work within Alpha and Theta. Surprisingly, everyone is actually hypnotized 80% of every day and they don't even know it. After approximately 60 seconds watching tv, you're in alpha, because you're concentrating on something. There was a study performed where a tv would stay on as long as a subject was in Beta, and the tv didn't stay more than 60 seconds for each person to move into Alpha! Have you ever been watching tv so intently, you didn't even notice someone walking into the room? Or been scrolling on Instagram and didn't notice how long you've been sitting there? That's alpha. That's hypnosis. You are actually hypnotized a lot of the time every single day. Funny, huh?** What is my Role is as a Regression Therapist?:I'm simply a guide and facilitator. I help facilitate to show you an experience that has happened to you before in this life or a past life. By working with your subconscious to show you these moments, it will help you to be the best version of yourself in this life.**You will Feel/See:You will feel at first like you're making it all up, or you're unclear why you're seeing something... just go with it. Say the first thing that comes to your mind. The first thing you imagine. Quiet the “conscious mind” simply saying what you see or feel. As the client, you just report on what you see or feel. You don't need to analyze it, just say the first thing you see or feel. I'll ask you a lot of questions the whole time to continue to prime your mind and open up what you see.Your angels / spirit guides will take you to whatever and wherever you're supposed to go and whatever you're supposed to see. It could be a past life, between lives, light source, under water, other planets, etc. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.You, as the client, will come to the session with a series of questions (more info given below), and I will ask the subconscious these questions for you. This is where a lot of the healing happens. Your higher self will give you the answers. You will be laying down, and it's important not to move your body while you're in the regression, and you should not open your eyes.** What is the Anatomy of a Session? There are 3 portions of the session; the agenda consists of:1. InterviewWe will talk for a little while about why you wanted this session, your current life, your childhood, your job, your family, etc. Just get to know one another.2. Hypnotic “Alpha State” - Past Life RegressionI will calmly regress you while you are comfortably laying down. You will be taken through a guided visualization by myself, and will be shown one or many past lives.3. Subconscious “Theta State” - Higher Self HealingIf your higher self feels you are ready, you may be guided by myself to connect with your subconscious / higher self / spirit guides / source. I will ask the subconscious any questions you came into the session with on your behalf. We will perform a body scan and work to promote emotional and/or physical healing.Sessions can take anywhere from 2-5 hours. I am never in a rush, and do not charge by the hour. I am here for you, and want this to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience!** End of a Session:At the end I will safely close out the session, and we will have a discussion about what you experienced. After a session you will need to eat within the next 1-2 hours to ground yourself, and do not recommend you go right to sleep. A session should be done a few hours before you sleep.** What you'll get from the “Past Life Alpha State” portion:Emotional Healing & Scene Watching.Connections, understanding your purpose, and past experiences. This is a way to give yourself more compassion for traits that may be imprinted on our soul and who you are in this life.** What you'll get from the “Subconscious Theta State” portion:Physical Healing & Reflection. This is the realization stage. You will gain an understanding of why you saw what you saw in the past life portion. You will see and understand parallels in your current life, and how they tie to your past lives and experiences. You will open up memories that either serve you or hold you back. We unpack the lessons you've learned and are here to learn in this life. You see the themes of past and current lives to understand and release issues in a safe space, helping to access your own power on a cellular level. It also helps to release any emotional baggage you may be carrying with you. This baggage could be festering in your body, manifesting as current pains, illness, chronic disease, etc. These sessions will help you release pain and illness (both mental and physical). We do a body healing scan to get your body to function and operate at its highest potential. This is also where we ask the Superconscious the questions you came prepared with.** How Long Does Healing Take? Most of the main healing is immediate. See Additional Healing notes and reminders below:+ You will continue to closely experience healing for 1-3 days after the session, and up to 2 weeks.+ You may experience a form of your body detoxing for 1-3 days after the session+ It is important to drink a lot of water within the 3 days after the session+ Do not go straight to sleep after the session+ Eat within 1-2 hours of the session to ground+ I will send you a recording of this session, continue listening to it regularly for months and years to come, as you will continue to receive healing+ Do not listen to the beginning induction at all, especially while driving - as it will put you back in trance. Just fast forward until you are off the cloud and within your first scene** How Many Sessions do you Need?:Depends on the client, the issues, levels of healing, and what you want out of it. We will start with one session and go from there.** Common Fears:- What if it doesn't work?- What if I see something I don't want to see?- What if I'm not good at visualizing? This is an exciting healing process that we are not used to experiencing. Naturally, the unknown may feel strange, but this is a safe form of therapy that consists of all light and love. The only thing you need to do is to relax, and follow the guided visualization. You don't need to be psychic or intuitive for this to work, everyone is capable of getting into the Theta state. This form of hypnosis therapy works on everyone. No one has ever come out of a session more traumatized than they were before they sat down. We all have soul imprints of being victims and perpetrators. We all have struggles and strife. That's ok, that part of learning and healing. It's my job to watch your queues to guide you to keep you safe and protected. You also do not have to experience things in your past life, you are able to watch situations as an observer as well, which will help in case you are triggered emotionally. This is a very safe process, and I have been extensively trained to implement safeguards and procedures that will help to guide and facilitate your subconscious. You will never see anything you are not ready to see. This is part of your personal and unique path of growth and evolution.I also do not want to diminish the heaviness of life, trauma and death... I understand everyone has their own experience they come to the session with, both good and bad, and we are here in this life to learn about ourselves, our relationships, and our Divine Purpose.Earth is like a school, and each life has a theme. Think of the themes as a Major in college. There are themes and sub themes in life, much like majors and minors. We're all learning at our own pace and in our own way. These sessions will help you to uncover your themes.By doing this work, and breathing love into it, we can receive guidance and insight where we can connect with our higher self and the world around us.** How to Prepare for a Session:1. Come prepared with at least 5 questions written down to ask your subconscious/higher self. Examples of questions are:+ Can I heal my high blood pressure?+ Why do I have such a strained relationship with my sister?+ I once saw a large blue light/orb while driving, what was that?+ What is my purpose?+ What do I need to do to live a healthy life?+ Why can't I kick my addiction to food?+ My right leg has numbness, can we heal?2. Do not plan anything after the session, it's important to relax and reflect.3. Do not come to the session with substances in your system of any kind (including relaxing medications like xanax, alcohol, adderall, cannabis, etc)// 11 Tips To Indicate Some Clues To Your Past Lives:The truth is that all of us have likely reincarnated, however, some of us have gone through this cycle more than others and therefore experience many of the following characteristics, and some of you may only resonate with one or two of these tips:1. Recurring DreamsDreams are reflections of the unconscious mind, and while repetitive dreams may sometimes signify trauma, fear or issues that your brain is trying to process (“unfinished business”), repetitive dreams can also potentially be reflections of past life experiences. Many people claim to have experienced certain events, seen particular people or gone to specific places frequently in their dreams that feel very familiar, and somehow recognizable. Remember the soul contract thing I said before? You'll recognize places or people or the essence of both.*I don't so much have recurring dreams, but I do have certain specific dreams that I remember IN DETAIL that span my whole life, and Just know intuitively they mean something for me to remember so many of them in great detail -- like even some from childhood.2. Out-of-place MemoriesThere are many recorded instances of young children who have out-of-place memories that later prove to be oddly accurate in detail. While out-of-place memories could be due to simple fantasies, misunderstandings or an incongruence in the ability to remember, BUT there is mounting evidence that suggests out-of-place memories could reveal connections to past lives. Think about when you travel somewhere and it feels like “home” but you don't know why…*This happens to me a lot actually. I can be driving on a street and get an entire flash of a memory, but know I never experienced it in this life. I then sit with them to determine if this is a memory of mine from a past life, or a download I'm getting about someone else's life that is near me.3. You Have a Strong IntuitionIntuition is the ability to balance the conscious and unconscious mind and to tap into our higher selves of primal wisdom and innate knowledge. It is said that the more we soulfully mature, the more we are closer to returning to the ‘source' (known also as nirvana, eternity, oneness) from which our Souls come from, and from which the collective unconscious – a body of universal knowledge – exists.*Mine is heightened to say the least.4. Déjà vuWe've all experienced déjà vu before at some point in our lives. It's that bizarre feeling that somehow we have already experienced or lived a moment in time before. Often déjà vu comes spontaneously, and is triggered by smells, sounds, sights, tastes and various other sensations. Some claim that déjà vu reflects the possibility of other dimensions (i.e. parallel universes), OR a revealing of a past life experience.*I love when this happens! It makes me feel like I'm plugged into something bigger, and that everything is “on track”5. You're an EmpathEmpaths absorb the emotions, and in some instances the physical pains, of those around them literally empathizing, or directly feeling and experiencing what others experience. While identifying as an Empath and absorbing the emotions of others has other genuine cases, and it can be seen as a sign of a soul that has undergone many previous reincarnations and has refined to the point of transcending the individual self and it's problems, and extending to others as well.*I'm an empath and actually working on it, because I tend to take on others emotions and pain (on accident) because I can imagine what they are going through so well. This isn't healthy, and if you're an empath DM me on instagram or text me so we can talk more about some exercises I've been getting into in order to separate myself when I get “too empathic” lol6. PrecognitionAlso known as ‘future sight' or ‘second sight', precognition is the ability to obtain information about future events that isn't usually available. Precognition can be experienced through visions, physical sensations and feelings, or the ability to have dreams about something before it happens. To many, precognition is a very real experience and could indicate the maturation of soulful energy in a sort of ‘psychic' form.*I've totally had dreams about things and then they happen, this set in during highschool for me.7. RetrocognitionYou probably guessed it! Retrocognition is the opposite of precognition, and refers to the ability to obtain information not usually available about past events. These past events could be in your own lifetime, or sometime in the distant past, or even in an event unrelated to your life. Of course, retrocognition unlike precognition is not easy to prove or verify, for those who have genuinely experienced it (and have been able to honestly verify it), this ability could also be a sign of soulful reincarnation. I read an amazing story about a woman who could identify government details (not known to the public) about the assasination of JFK, and she wasn't even there at that time!8. You Feel Older Than Your Age ReflectsSome people are perpetually “young at heart” even into their later lives, and in the same manner, some people just seem to have been born with “Old Souls”. The experience of feeling older than your age reflects is commonly associated with having reincarnated many times over and this is echoed in the “Soul Age” theory where there is a certain progression of soulful development: from Infant Souls, to Awakened Souls. For example: if you have reincarnated few times on earth, this would be reflected in the age of your energy, and in this life you will display many primitive and child-like characteristics. If, however, your soulful energy has reincarnated many times over, you will display many matured and wizened characteristics. If you feel older than your age reflects you might be a Mature or Old Soul.*I've been told I was an old soul literally since Elementary school. My friend Mehr says I'm old like Grandmother Willow in Pocahontas, and I'm obsessed with this.9. You Have a Great Affinity for Certain Cultures/Time Periods/EnvironmentsIt is said that having a great, unexplainable attraction for certain cultures or time periods is a kind of past life “residue” reminiscent of a certain place, culture or environment that your soul may have experienced in past lives. For instance, you may have an inexplicable affinity to Asian culture, Celtic artifacts, or the 19th century.*Ok people can make fun of others for loving a good “period piece” movie or tv show, but you gotta listen to those inklings connecting you to different time periods. I am wildly connected to different places, styles and time periods, and no surprise have since had regressions and realized I was so into certain places and time periods because I actually lived through them. Looking @ you Tundra, Mesopotamia, Ireland, and SouthEast Asia.10. Unexplainable Fears or PhobiasAs touched on in the last point, many believe that certain memories or experiences can pass on or leave “residues” in our childhoods and adulthood's from past lives. Whether this is true, or is simply a form of problem bypassing, many believe that we can experience the echoes of past traumas in our own lifetimes in the form of unexplainable fears and phobias. Examples can include: the fear of drowning, the fear of certain types of animals, the fear of certain places, certain people, the fear of particular numbers, colors, objects, and so forth.*I've been afraid of police since I was a very very little girl - used to cry when I would see them driving, tell my mom when I was barely old enough to talk “act casual” and so forth. I now know I was beaten and killed by police in the 1960's, but through QHHT therapy, I was able to understand, forgive and heal the trauma so I didn't have to have fears and phobias in this life. Also, read that book I mentioned “Many Lives Many Masters” and you'll learn about an AMAZING case study of a therapist who helped clear severe life-debilitating phobias from a woman.11. You Feel as Though this Earth Is Not Your HomeThe yearning to find your ‘home' can be seen as a reflection of the desire to return back to the source (oneness, consciousness, divinity). Many people feel this yearning to be reminiscent of an athlete running a long race and longing to reach the ‘finish line'. In the same manner, Souls that have reincarnated many times over express this basic need for finally completing the cycle and returning home. Feeling that this earth is not your home is often accompanied by chronic feelings of tiredness and wariness for life on earth, with a lack of connection to this planet.*I don't personally feel this way, but have many friends who do. I've had other lives on other planets outside of our galaxy, but I'm not quite as eager to leave yet, because I think I'm here to help be of service. Earth is the only planet to experience emotions in a heightened way as we do. Through this, souls can grow exponentially by feeling sickness and health, happiness and sadness, life and death, sorrow and bliss, light and dark, fear and strength, vulnerability and courage. They are all forms of energy exchanges - it's all physics, karma, and consciousness. Earth is an amazing planet! But many come from other galaxies or dimensions, and are eager to return back to their “home” once they have learned these different themes here in order to elevate their consciousness or “light”. Which is where you have heard the term “light-workers” - they are often from other dimensions here to help raise the vibration here on earth. I know this might sound pretty wild, but I think it's true. Again, I respect all beliefs, just based on my reading, research, and inner-knowing, this is what I believe to be true.// Ancient Ancestors:The belief of Past lives, or reincarnation, known also as “metempsychosis” and “transmigration”, has existed for thousands of years, spanning back to the ancient Celtic, Greek, Asian and Indian traditions. One of the most intrinsic beliefs of reincarnation is that most of us have lived many lives before, and sometimes we can remember these past lives through dreams, QHHT therapy, regressions, meditations, or even through day-to-day downloads.- Plato, in the 5th–4th century BCE, believed in an immortal soul that participates in frequent incarnations.- The Egyptians are also the first who reported the doctrine that the soul of man is immortal, and that when the body dies, the soul enters into another creature and when it has gone the round of all the creatures of land and sea and of the air, it enters again into a human body as it comes to the birth; and that it makes this round in a period of three thousand years.- The Tlingit people are native Americans who settled in the northwest area of North America (Alaska and Canada). There are estimated to be 16,000 of them today, and their belief system on the afterlife is that - Spirits go to an afterlife in accordance with their morality throughout their life, similarly to heaven and hell in other religions. Those who withheld a high standard of morals were sent to Kiwa-wa, and others were sent to Ketl-kiwa. However, this afterlife only lasted for a short duration; individuals would eventually return as a reincarnation of a deceased maternal relative.(I don't personally believe in heaven in the clouds or hell underground in fire, but those are more like metaphors - when we die, we all go to a place of reflection, where we look back on our life to uncover the themes of the life. Sometimes, when we are “bad” per say - we are there reflecting for longer, but God or Source or the Universe will never punish us - we are all full of love and will get full love, and karmically we will know and reflect on things that we have done wrong to hurt others in life - and have to stay in the in-between for a longer period. We all will experience a form of “heaven” which is warm, and full of light and love, with the most beautiful sensations we have ever experienced.)The modern Igbo of Nigeria, even when adhering to the Christian religion, have preserved many features of Igbo traditional religion. The belief in reincarnation seems to be particularly strong. The Igbo believe that reincarnation usually occurs within the same immediate or extended family. They try to identify the reincarnated ancestor by means of birthmarks, statements a child makes when it becomes able to speak, and behavioral resemblances between the child and the deceased person of whom it is the presumed reincarnation. Oracles are frequently consulted to make or confirm an identification. The Igbo believe that deceased persons inhabit a discarnate realm, but they conceive this as an undesirable limbo from which discarnate souls are eager to return to a new terrestrial life. The Igbo concept of reincarnation includes belief in a group of souls called ogbanje who are born, die in early life, and are reborn in the same family, often repeatedly.”The Cathars lived in the southwest of France and developed their belief system in the 12th and 13th century. They did not believe in a Last Judgement, believing instead that this material world would end only when the last of the angelic souls had been released from it. They believed in reincarnation, and that souls could take many lifetimes to reach perfection before their final release.// Mindful & Metaphysical:When you hear the term Akashic Records, what comes to mind? Have you ever heard of them? Some people think of the Akashic Records as a library, or a book. Some think of it as a database. But according to the Records themselves, they are another dimension called the Akasha. The Akasha is a higher dimension than the 3rd dimension we live in today. I know, it's weird. But stay with me.In the Akasha, every thought, idea, and action from the past, present, and future is stored ad infinitum. If you're familiar with String Theory, the Akashic Records is basically like a database of what's happening in all the universes that are coexisting together. The Akashic Records are basically a record of what will happen, is happening, or has happened. Because they are a higher dimension, the rules of time don't really apply. Time is a flat circle to the Akashic Records, so information from 2,000 years ago is as accessible as what happened to you yesterday. And what happened to you yesterday is as available as what could happen to you — if you stay on the same destiny trajectory — in 10 years.Edgar Cayce, the famed medium who popularized the Records, describes them as: “The Akashic Records, or “The Book of Life,” can be equated to the Universe's super-computer system. It is this system that acts as the central storehouse of all information for every individual who has ever lived upon the earth. More than just a reservoir of events, the Akashic Records contain every deed, word, feeling, thought, and intent that has ever occurred at any time in the history of the world. Much more than simply a memory storehouse, however, these Akashic Records are interactive in that they have a tremendous influence upon our everyday lives, our relationships, our feelings and belief systems, and the potential realities we draw toward us … The Akashic Records contain the entire history of every soul since the dawn of Creation. These records connect each one of us to one another.”Linda Howe, the author of the incredibly informative book, “How to Read The Akashic Records,” describes them this way: “The Akashic Records offer empowerment and transformation by lending us exactly the wisdom, guidance, and energetic support that we need in this lifetime. For centuries, the Records — the energetic archive of Souls' past, present, and future possibilities — were the exclusive domain of mystics, saints, and scholars. No longer! The collective consciousness of the human race has been growing, evolving, and maturing. This spiritual independence is marked by individuals who know that they have direct access to their spiritual Source, and who cultivate that sacred relationship.”So why are some people skeptical about them? People doubt the validity of the Akashic Records for a few reasons. One reason could be because they ask the Records for an answer about the future, only to find that it doesn't come to fruition in the way the Records described. But the thing is, we are always in control of our own destiny. The Records just tell us what the most likely outcome is going to be based on the trajectory that we're already on. But at any moment, we can decide to forge a new path and redirect our possible outcomes. It's also easy to doubt the Records because it's WEIRD to hear messages in your head! You might write off the information that's coming to you as your own subconscious thoughts. And you know what, that might be the truth. Honestly, who knows right? You can choose to believe whatever you want. But either way, by taking the time to tap into the Records, you're opening yourself up to a source of knowledge that's more potent than your conscious mind. Whether you believe that the information is coming from your highest self, or from the Akashic Records, is entirely up to you.A great Goop article talks to Caitlin Marino, an amazing intuitive energy practitioner, about the connection to past lives and Akashic records, and also LOVE how she describes it…Instead of “past lives” she prefers the term “alternate lifetimes” to refer to past lives. She goes on to say that time and space cease to exist when you begin exploring dimensions. Instead, we perceive multiple dimensions of reality where all versions of ourselves are happening simultaneously. From this perspective, our existence is not linear—we do not disperse our identity on a timeline that starts at birth and ends at death. Our souls have cyclical lives, like an infinity sign that folds over itself. But there is a place in everybody's energy field called the Akashic records, holding their entire soul's history—past, present, future, parallel. And through these records, we are able to access any moment in a soul's journey. Caitlin says that she uses the Akashic records in her healing work to remove past lives that may carry lower vibrations, imprints, and stuck energy that are inhibiting a soul's evolution. A past-life wound may show up as a karmic illness, which is caused by energy left over from another lifetime that is present now to balance or complete karma for an individual. When used as an opportunity for metamorphosis, karmic illness has the potential to change a person's path in life for their greatest benefit. I use past lives to help create context and resolution through self-awareness. The simple act of acknowledging a past life through a reading has the potential to alleviate karma. Any time our consciousness expands in this way, we increase our potential for evolution! This is why I just love QHHT or quantum healing hypnosis technique. Through this, we are able to tap into your higher self and the akashic records to help heal you in miraculous ways. The most fascinating, and resonating things for past life regression, for me and reincarnation are the stories that can be proven. Many by adults, but also so so many by young children. They say until a child is about 8 years old they can remember their past lives quite clearly. I love when these memories from sessions can be proved with factual dates, names, records and historical landmarks. There are a few stories I've heard that I always think of (I'll try to re-find and link in the episode notes too) — one, of this young boy, who distinctly remembered his life in WWII, where his plane was shot down, the name of his sister and other family members— the parents, who were Christian and didn't believe these things, wanted to help heal their son who was visibly upset and traumatized by these memories, took him to where he said his plane was shot down in the ocean. He cried and cried, left flowers, and was able to find peace. They then found the woman who the child said was his sister in the past life- she was a very old woman by this time— and the boy hugged her - knew her, her name, and stories and memories they had when they were children together, and even knew things about their family!Another good story is about a young 2 or 3 year old boy. His father was changing his diaper and said, “when you were my age, I used to change your diapers!” The dad obviously laughed it off (we think kids say crazy things, but listen to what clues and intel your kids are telling you!) anyways, the family was looking at old photos, and he said “that's my car!” The parent said, “No that was your grandfather's car, he's no longer with us.” But the boy insisted. To try to “test” him, they showed him other pictures of the grandfather when he was young, and could always point him out. Then to make things harder they showed him a photo of a group of very young boys, who all looked similar and were about the same age. He said - that's me! And was absolutely accurate. The last one I'll share today (I could go on and on with these) is about to be made into a movie, called “The Boy Who Knew Too Much” — it's an amazing book, do if you're interested definitely buy it, but it's a true story written by the mother of a boy named Christian haupt, who was discovered on YouTube by Adam Sandler and cast him to be in the movie “That's My Boy” --The young boy, named Christian, said, “Mommy, I used to be a tall baseball player.”“Yes, you will be a tall baseball player someday.” She said --And then he stomped his feet and said, “No! I was a tall baseball player—tall like Daddy!”At the tender age of two, baseball prodigy Christian Haupt began sharing vivid memories of being a baseball player in the 1920s and '30s. From riding cross-country on trains, to his fierce rivalry with Babe Ruth, Christian described historical facts about the life of American hero and baseball legend Lou Gehrig that he could not have possibly known at the time.“The Boy Who Knew Too Much” is written by Christians mother (who was/is a christian woman, carefully unfolding and grappling with these astonishing occurrences), will undoubtedly shake your beliefs to the core and forever change your views on life and death. Such a good read!// Soulful Sendoff:Today I will leave you with an inspirational poem by Robert Longley, called “Past Lives”, which is a about two people who knew each other in a past life and what it means for this life:When last you stood togetherAmidst the halls of stoneYou knew you'd travel separatelyYet never be aloneIt was a time of grandeurLike few the world has seenYou made a handsome coupleIn the roles of king and queenThe spring waters provided bountyFor the people of your landsYet it always stayed in balanceWith the ever encroaching sandsSo now you know a secretOf days and times beforePlease treat it as a special keyTo open other doors- - - - - - - - - - -Below you'll find a few links to movies and books I have loved on this topic!BOOKS:Many Lives Many Masters, by Brian Weiss.Five Lives Remembered, by Dolores cannonThe Boy Who Knew Too Much by Cathy ByrdHow To Read The Akashic Records, by Linda HoweOld Souls, by Tom SchroderMOVIES AND TV:Cloud Atlas - with Tom Hanks and Halle BerryI OriginsThe OAA Dog's PurposeBirth - with Nicole KidmanYesterday's Children - with Jane SeymourThe Fountain - with Hugh Jackman & Rachel WeitzOn A Clear Day You Can See Forever - with Barbara StreisandChances Are - with Robert Downey Jr.Little Buddha - with Keanu ReevesYOUTUBE LINKS:The Boy Who Knew Too Much Video Here - His Channel is HereThe Case of James LeiningerGaia Remembering Past LivesKids Memories of Past LivesA 2 Year Old Remembers DrowningThe Story of Cameron MacauleyCivil War Boy on OprahThe Young Boy Who Died In A House FireEvidence of Reincarnation in Childhood by Dr. Jim TuckerAnd if you have anything on these topics you'd like to share with me I'd LOVE to hear from you. Dr. Ethan J. Weiss has been passionate about health since a young child, growing up around a cardiologist father. He eventually went on to attend Vassar College before moving on to medical school and residency at John Hopkins. He came to UCSF in 1998 to complete his clinical and research fellowships in cardiology and has remained on the faculty since then. Dr. Weiss has maintained an active clinical practice with expertise in the emerging intersection between endocrine and metabolic disease and cardiovascular diseases. He is a leading authority on novel tools to predict and prevent cardiovascular disease and has special interest in using technology as a tool to enable lifestyle changes. When you look at the role of nutrition in cardiovascular health, you’ll find that there is imperfect information. So, we need to review the information that we have and take the best approach going forward. Dr. Ethan believes that cholesterol is causative in cardiovascular disease. In the past ten years, there has been an abundant amount of information that LDL is a massive risk factor. Dr. Ethan explains the effects of cholesterol. If you look at plaque in human arteries, there is definitely LDL cholesterol. How LDL contributes to the growth of plaque is still something we are learning about. We are hindered in this field because it is difficult to get ahold of the tissue. We don’t have the best or most refined understanding of how this happens. However, the latest theory is that cholesterol will cause problems by inducing an inflammatory response. Diet relates closely to lipid health. In the seventies, we told people to eat low fat; therefore, people started eating high carbs. However, Dr. Ethan doesn’t want to say that he has the answers prematurely. No one has the answers; there is still a lot to learn about nutrition. If you take a low carb and high-fat diet, the impact is an increase in LDL cholesterol. After digging deeper, Dr. Ethan felt more comfortable with the rise in LDL because it didn’t increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Some individuals will have a much more significant change to their LDL when they start eating low carb. Dr. Ethan says people have five choices: -      Ignore it. -      Keep an eye on things by measuring calcium. -      Try a different diet by adding more carbs. -      Start taking a statin. -      Replace saturated fats with plant-based fats. Dr. Ethan is most excited about the last choice, replacing saturated fats with plant-based fats. When people have heart attacks, it’s important to treat things differently. So, Dr. Ethan does not recommend using diet to treat heart attacks alone. However, food should be part of the recovery. Then, Dr. Ethan explains the relationship between keto and diabetes. You don’t often see people coming into the doctor’s office with fewer and fewer drugs. However, people with diabetes are coming off of their diabetes medications and blood pressure medications once trying the ketogenic diet. Dr. Ethan has found publications on low carb diets and diabetes in 1795. So, the relationship between keto and diabetes is not a new phenomenon. Plus, keto offers an opportunity to track a biomarker; it changes the focus from stepping on the scale every day. Measuring weight is a terrible way to measure how well you are doing. When you’re eating keto, you’re eating fewer carbohydrates and less refined sugars. Stay tuned, as Dr. Ethan describes the inspiration behind Keyto. Despite what conventional medicine has told us, type 1 diabetes is not a sentence for a heavy reliance on insulin. For many people, a diet that carefully monitors carb intake can dramatically reduce blood sugar swings and reduce the amount of insulin needed. Keto (or the ketogenic diet) has gotten a lot of buzz lately, and this fat-heavy very low-carb approach to eating is showing some promise for diabetics and many other metabolic diseases as well. With that being said, there is no perfect diet for everyone, and each person needs to find what works best for them. One of my guests on this week’s Doctor’s Farmacy podcast, Dr. Carrie Diulus, has found vegan keto is the best approach for managing her type 1 diabetes and maintaining a healthy weight. We’re also joined by Dr. Ethan Weiss, who’s been steadily in ketosis for about 2 years using a plant-heavy, mostly pescatarian keto approach. This episode is brought to you by Thrive Market and SomniFix. With all the online marketing tools we have at our disposal, it might seem that direct mail is becoming a thing of the past - but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Why is direct mail still effective, even in the digital age? How can we create mail that delivers results? On this episode, founder of Graphic Connections Group, Jeff Charlton shares why direct mail is still one of the most effective ways to boost our brands.   3 Things We Learned  Direct mail is still an effective marketing method for investorsDespite the popularity of online platforms, when it comes to real estate investing, direct mail is still incredibly effective. This is because it’s a proven system, as well as being repeatable, scalable and measurable. It’s also an easy process, if done the right way.  Quality is keyTo get results from our direct mail, we have to ensure what we send is high quality. Stop fretting over pennies - if we track the results of our direct mail, it becomes easy to see that the costs are well worth it. Follow up is also important in direct mailFollowing up with the recipients of our mail is critical - if we’re not following up on our leads we’re just wasting time. Once direct mail has been sent, we need to start making phone calls to the recipients.    We often think that marketing is moving to the online world, but that’s not always the case. Particularly in the case of direct mail, tried and tested options are not likely to die out anytime soon. To send successful direct mail, we need to concentrate on quality. Then, it’s up to us to follow up.   Guest Bio-  Jeff Charlton is the founder of Graphic Connections Group. The entrepreneur believes in delivering high-quality products and going the extra mile to give his clients the best service possible. Jeff started Graphic Connections Group, in his basement in 1992, and in 2000 went on to acquire other printing and graphic design companies. In 2012, he acquired the Independent Publishing Corporation, with the intention of helping small authors self-publish.  To find out more about Jeff, visit https://www.reiprintmail.com/blog/meet-the-team/ And https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeff-charlton-34a8a17

Lack Of Sleep With A Baby? [2:21] Juliana says: Hi Robb how are you? I wanted to ask you about parenting and a healthy lifestyle. For me, not having a good night sleep definitely is the worst. It makes me super hungry all day, bad mood etc. And it gets really hard for me to recover during the week with regular sleep hours, I need like a full day in. Even before I heard from your podcast my worst fear about having babies has been the potential lack of sleep but I wonder how people deal with this? .  Are there any obvious strategies our ancestors did and we don´t or something like this? Do you have any suggestions? P.D. Thank you for sharing everything, I love your books and podcast! Thank you, Juliana   2. Impaired Nutrient Absorption On OMAD? [9:22] Michael says: Dear Robb and Nicki, first of all - thank you for your wonderful show and for all your work you have been doing. I have a question that has been on my mind for quite some time and hopefully it will get answered on your podcast one day: Is there any reason to be concerned about limited nutrient absorption during daily 24-hour IF? Personally, I find that the one-meal-per-day (OMAD) approach works the best for me for many different reasons (body weight composition, logistics, mental clarity during day etc.) but I wonder if there is any downside related to the maximum amount of nutrients (e.g. protein) that the body is able to absorb and/or utilize if all the nutrients (e.g. worth 4,000 kcal) are consumed in one very big meal in the evening on daily basis? For example, the popular belief is that the protein absorption is optimal with 30 grams of protein per serving and therefore it is better to spread the daily intake of protein across smaller meals throughout the day. Does it also apply to vitamins and minerals? For example - I like to include nuts in my salads, or add cacao powder to my low-carb desserts - both of these contain quite a lot of phytic acid which, as we know, decreases the absorption of certain minerals etc. I want to make sure that my body does not send most of the precious nutrients that I consume to the toilet without utilizing them. Do you think it would be reasonable to increase consumption of certain nutrients (e.g. protein) beyond the recommended doses to compensate for the lower absorption? Thank you very much in advance for your answer, Michael K.   3. Are Supplements “Ultra Processed Foods”? [15:08] Jessie says: And if not, why and which ones get a pass? I’m thinking of mct powder and even the “purest” herbs and organic mushroom powders.   4. EPI - What Is It?  [18:06] Roger says: I keep hearing new commercials for a new drug (yay!) for a condition I’ve never heard of. Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency, or EPI. I’ve always thought the pancreas was just responsible for insulin. This condition says it aids in digestion. Any chance we can get a breakdown of what this is on the podcast? And how a paleo/primal lifestyle could mitigate it.   5. Keyto Breathalyzer? [21:25] Linda says: Hi Robb! What are your thoughts about the Keyto breathalyzer? It seems like an easy and quick way to determine if we are in Ketosis. But does it work? Are the readings accurate? I’d love to hear your expert opinion, because it would be great to be able to check our levels at any time without having to prick our fingers and draw blood! How do you know if you’re following the ketogenic diet or intermittent fasting properly? You might feel the subjective benefits of ketosis, but quantitatively measuring ketone levels is always the most accurate (via breath, blood, or urine). Blood testing has been the standard for academic literature. However, practically speaking, many people aren’t going to be pricking their finger for blood to check if they’re in ketosis. Keyto is aiming to make the ketogenic diet more accessible through a breath meter device & phone app. Dr. Ethan Weiss, the founder of Keyto, hopes to fill that gap with the right balance of accessibility and science. Dr. Weiss, who is also a cardiologist and professor at the UCSF, is our guest this week. There are a lot of nasty secrets about the ketogenic diet that too many people are completely unaware of. It can cause the buildup of a wide variety of nutritional deficits…   It can cause chronic inflammation…   It can create an imbalance in omega fatty acids…   It can exhaust your body's glycogen stores…   But in my podcast episode with four time repeat guest ,  you'll discover how to mitigate these issues and how to do a ketogenic diet the right way.   Thomas is one of the leading experts in the world of chronic inflammation as well as the response of the human body to a low-carb diet. He is noted for his personal transformation from a 280-pound overweight corporate executive to not only being on the cover of health and fitness magazines worldwide but pioneering some of the mainstream awareness of auto-immune diseases and inflammation in general!   Thomas has been highlighted in over 20 magazines showcasing his transformation and has been featured worldwide on the cover of Ironman Magazine, Muscle and Performance Magazine, Natural Muscle Magazine, ICON Magazine, Platform Magazine and Ironman Japan. His background is in Sports Psychology, although it is this passion for psychology coupled with a career in healthcare as a physician recruiter and owner of an ancillary lab services company that sparked his love for nutritional science and what makes the body tick.   I first interviewed Thomas DeLauer in the episode    I then interviewed him again in the episode    Thomas's third appearance was in the podcast episode  In this discussion, you'll discover: -How the ketogenic diet can be used to build, or at least spare, muscle mass...9:12 Rather than losing muscle, you're most likely losing intercellular water Lower levels of insulin mean the kidneys expel more water You'll lose glycogen at the beginning of the keto diet, then regain as you adapt to the diet Can see the effects in a very short period of time (24 hours or less) When you have beta hydroxybutyrate, there's a decrease in urinary nitrogen excretion compared to carb-rich diet Leucine gets oxidized more slowly; promotes protein synthesis (muscle sparing) The stimulus of weight training is critical -Whether the metabolic rate decreases while on the keto diet...19:40 Metabolic rate decreases in a long-term calorie deficit (3+ weeks) Studies show a small decline in Triiodothyronine (T3) while on keto diet; no change at all in T4 The metabolism of glucose takes a significant amount of T3 Less glucose intake = less T3 Importance of "refeeding" while on calorie restriction -How ketosis affects glycogen storage...27:00 When you become "fat-adapted" (your mitochondria becomes efficient at utilizing the fat) your body preferentially uses ketones Your body reserves the glycogen to be used only when needed -Some of the most common mistakes people make while on the ketogenic diet...38:30 Being concerned with eating "too much protein" You'll always have a glucose demand; same with carbs Brain cannot run on pure ketones Body allocates specific sugars for brain activity If you overeat on protein, worst you can do is eat too many calories Once you get very fat-adapted, the skeletal muscle has the ability to shortcut the ketones production process MCT has been shown to trigger metabolic increase Fats people use to get into ketosis Heavy dairy Omega 6's "Keto Wall": 90 days good results, then hit a wall Pay attention to inflammatory level of fatty acids Pay attention to "grass finished" vs. "grass fed" The fish oil conundrum Algal oil  -Parting thoughts...1:08:05 How Thomas measures ketones: Keto Mojo meter Keyto Levl Resources from this episode:   -Study:    -Study:    - (EAA's)   -   -KetoMoJo    -Keyto   -Levl   Episode Sponsors: -: Kion is your ultimate source for everything you need to achieve peak performance, look amazing, defy aging and live an adventurous, fulfilling, joyful and limitless life. Today on the Podcast, Face off with Yourself and Fly. There's that saying, "wherever you go, there you are." And if you've ever thrown your hands up in the air and spontaneously moved across country, quit a job, ended a relationship or swan dived into a last minute Bali Yoga Retreat (ha! I get it!) — you may have learned just how true that statement really is. Turns out? Almost as soon as we get "there" we realize we're still "here." Like trying to shake your own shadow, you may soon realize you're the same person with the same thoughts, feelings, and actions ... only now you're in a new surrounding, or novel experience, which will (of course) soon become normalized again. Maybe even boring. And then what? Do you leave, again? Variety is a Human Need. So is Certainty. Don't get me wrong. Getting away is sometimes just what the doctor ordered. In fact, unique environments with opportunities to make fresh relationships is one of the absolute best catalysts for change!!! Think about why camp was so great as a child or why so many of us prioritize attending personal/professional development workshops and conferences. We love them because why? They're full of surprise and variety! More than that? They're just the catalyst, the spark, we need to get fired up again. But how many feel that hangover let down come Monday? When all the new faces have flown back home and you're back, alone, behind your desk. Day after day after day. All the clarity and conviction, all the certainty, from the weekend quickly begins to wane and you're (again) sitting in doubt; in overwhelm. Alone. Change your Mindset and your Skillset. See, it's not UNTIL we learn to change both how we think about things AND how we act on things that we FULLY shift the core thing that made us want to suddenly flee in the first place. Only then do we really feel momentum. Only then do all those seeds of ideas start to blossom into real world realities. And the KEY? To have intimate, deep, genuine accountability partners and frameworks to keep you motivated and focused even when the going gets tough. Even when you can't hop the next flight to Costa Rica. That's where mentorship, coaching, masterminds and membership communities make all the difference in the world. Taking you from ignition, to insight, to implementation. That type of ongoing support is what keeps stoking the fire and keeps helping you recreate those fun, memorable, connections and inspiration at home. Enter my conversation with Jeannette Ceja ... Jeannette Ceja is a bilingual travel journalist and a travel host with over five years of experience on the red carpet. She has interviewed countless of celebrities, athletes, politicians and travel experts including: Anthony Bourdain, Samantha Brown, Pauline Frommer, Rick Steves, Mira Sorvino, Chris O'Donnell, Jim Carey — to name only a few. In this Episode We Talk About: Why late bloomers have an advantage when success finally comes The truth about what it takes to "make it" in Hollywood (or any industry) What empaths need to look out for to avoid toxic relationships The single tactic that will 10x your results (forget hacking algorhithms) Why fame and fortune are the anthesis of intrinsic motivation When comfort zones and financial security almost killed her 19 yr dream Why traveling for speaking gigs isn't as glamorous as you think How to book cheaper flights, get upgrades, manage jet lag, travel safe Who is and isn't a good candidate to travel with (retreat hosts, listen up!) How to become a Global Brand Ambassador (it's easier than you think) What selling out her first workshop taught her about her own value Plus: The #1 Best Place to Travel in 2018 (I've been and it's INCREDIBLE!) In this episode, we take the risk of self-promotion and look at the elements of a good mastermind program.  We put our money where our mouth is in this respect.  The program we recommend happens to look a lot like ours.  However, this episode is more than an advertisement.  We lay out some features that you can add to yours or look for when selecting one. Accountability is Key To a Mastermind Program I have found that the greatest value of a program like this is being held accountable.  It also is what we strive for every time our program is reviewed.  This focus makes perfect sense when the goal of a mastermind program is to make everyone more effective.  We teach and learn in every meeting.  Thus, finding ways to practice and enforce what we have learned is important for its success.  Accountability is the path to this goal.  We look for ways to incorporate team discussions and feedback into our daily work.  Then we check in on each other to help us review and grade the changes we make. Everyone Contributes Another primary factor of a good mastermind program is participation.  This is not a spectator sport.  Every member should be taking steps from meeting to meeting that can be discussed.  The best mastermind groups also have a group approach to the topics and focus.  When everyone is contributing to the direction that helps ensure that everyone gets value from the meetings and the group.
