Episode Summary: As we close out this Fatherhood Month series, we return to the Andrew Tate phenomenon that is impacting teen guys in our churches, with which we began this series. Tate says, “There is zero advantage to marriage for a man. If you use your mind, if you use your head instead of your heart, and you look at the advantages to getting married, there are absolutely none.” But, in fact research proves Tate completely wrong. Married men and women who have children are in fact happier, wealthier and more fulfilled than their single and childless counterparts. The biblical worldview is that marriage is the foundational institution for society, mentioned in Scripture before the church or civil governments. This episode presents the biblical worldview of marriage, identifying four purposes of marriage, which explain why it is so fulfilling, along with the high biblical view of sexual union, which is so important that God commands married coups to have sex often. For information about Men Helping Sons Embrace Biblical Manhood click hereFor Further Prayerful Thought:Which of the four purposes of marriage most stood out to you. Why does it make sense that God's design for conceiving a child is a husband and wife united in the covenant of marriage who have promised to love each other, “till death us do part?”What stood out most to you in the Bible's High View of Sex? Which of these truths do you wish you knew earlier? How do you think this material on marriage and sex might change a high school guy's view of God and sex? This episode explores what it means to have a high view of God and why that view shapes every aspect of the Christian life. Dr. Richard Caldwell contrasts a high view—where God is seen as holy, sovereign, and central to all things—with a low view that puts God on the periphery. Through Scripture, he explains how the fear of the Lord, reverence for God's character, and trust in His Word lead to true peace, obedience, and spiritual maturity in both individual believers and the church.

In this episode of Pursuing Wisdom in Proverbs, we dive into God's high view of sex and marriage as revealed in Proverbs 5:15-20, as it combats the sexual sin we discussed last week. We explore how the Bible presents sex not as something shameful or transactional, but as a beautiful, intimate, and continuous blessing within marriage. Join Luke Metzler as he unpacks the rich metaphors of flowing water, fountains, and springs to illustrate God's design for sexual intimacy. Whether married or single, this episode offers wisdom on how to align your life with God's purpose for love, intimacy, and overcoming the temptations of sexual sin. xplusone.org
Understanding your true value as a man is crucial for a healthy marriage. And here's the thing, the kingdom doesn't deal in zero sum games. So you stepping into your worth doesn't equate to your wife getting trampled, domineered, etc. It equates to you leader her into a marriage where you both are living in your God-given royal identities. Together you rule over the domain God has entrusted to you. When you embrace your identity as worthy and valuable, you can love and serve your wife from a place of confidence and security, without neediness or manipulation. Passage: 2 Peter 3:15-18 Sermon Notes: Intro: - What type of people we are to be while we wait - Spotless and Blameless - This week is Part 2 1. People with Salvation Mindset a. Age of Salvation i. Anything built that has no eternal value will not. ii. Spend your life building on what will last. 2. People of the Word - Those who twist the word a. Progressive Christianity i. Sells itself as a valid option for Christians. ii. Seems more acceptable, more likable, a more palatable version of The faith. iii. But at the heart of it, it really is not Christianity at all. b. Progressive Christianity Symptoms i. Faith is celebrated, but not The Faith ii. Belief in Jesus can be both orthodox and blasphemous. iii. Love for God is defined whether you are loving people. iv. Hypercritical of Evangelical Christians v. Bible is important for some spiritual truth but is majorly flawed. c. Heart of Progressive Christianity - “Maybe Eve was never meant to be our warning, maybe she was meant to be our model. Own your wanting, eat the apple.”—inner voice is the guiding factor. i. Sin is no longer what's wrong with the world, but unrealized ambition. My inner need is a spiritual one. It's liberating, cause you're casting off the shackle of the Christianity you've been raised in and you're able to forge your own path, with Jesus and the bible along to approve of you. ii. Inner sense of goodness and personal purpose are your spiritual authority. iii. You're the hero of the journey, therefore the idea of God judging you is in conflict. 3. Be People of the Word a. High View of Scripture and High Knowledge of the word
Jesus was questioned by the Pharisees many times during His ministry on earth. But every attempt to indict Jesus only exposed the wickedness of their own hearts. In today's sermon, Steve Gallagher shares his view of God's heart about a particularly controversial matter found in Matthew, chapter 19.
