At our 5-hour prayer meeting, Overturn, Pastor Nelson shared a powerful charge on Hindrances to prayer: 1. Selfish Motives – Praying with self-centered desires places us at the center instead of God. 2. Unbelief – God gives freely, but we must ask in faith. The issue isn't His giving, but our receiving. 3. Under-Praying / Spiritual Warfare – Like Elijah and Jesus, we must persist in prayer. Don't quit too soon. 4. Sin – God accepts the man before the sacrifice. Cain's offering lacked what Abel's had—purity. Don't come before God with strife or unrepentant sin.Prayer is not time wasted, but time invested.
HE IS RISEN! Pastor Michael leaves us with with a few thoughts:GOD'S love for us is relentless GOD loves you despite your sinGOD pursues you in your sinGOD'S offer is overwhelming grace

Lead Pastor Corey Abney shares the story of Achan in Joshua 7, and highlights the seriousness of sin and its consequences. Hidden sin, no matter how small, ultimately leads to downfall, affecting not just the individual but the entire community. God calls His people to repentance and obedience, warning that unconfessed sin will always be exposed and bring judgment.Key Scripture:Joshua 7:10-13 Topics Covered:The consequences of sin and disobedienceThe deceptive nature of hidden sinCovetousness as the root of sinGod's justice and the need for repentanceThe impact of personal sin on the broader community
"Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven." Matthew 12:31 What is the sin "against the Spirit"? What is the sin that God can't forgive? Fr. Mike reveals to us that this sin is... any sin. Today, he explains how that's possible and how we can lean on God's goodness and mercy for salvation.
Many people have struggled with the idea of the unforgivable sin and whether or not they have committed it. In this episode, Scott and Chris tackle what blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is and what the prerequisites to commit it are.
This is a call to humble our hearts and allow the Holy Spirit to show us any grumbling, complaining, pride or arrogance in our walk with Jesus or those in our life.

In this episode of Pursuing Wisdom in Proverbs, we dive into God's high view of sex and marriage as revealed in Proverbs 5:15-20, as it combats the sexual sin we discussed last week. We explore how the Bible presents sex not as something shameful or transactional, but as a beautiful, intimate, and continuous blessing within marriage. Join Luke Metzler as he unpacks the rich metaphors of flowing water, fountains, and springs to illustrate God's design for sexual intimacy. Whether married or single, this episode offers wisdom on how to align your life with God's purpose for love, intimacy, and overcoming the temptations of sexual sin. xplusone.org
Pastor John Randall is leading us through his new series in Matthew's gospel. In chapter twelve we learn that there is a sin that God won't forgive. So what is this unpardonable sin, and have you committed it? We'll set out to answer that. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Our teacher and pastor John Randall is currently studying the gospel of Matthew with us, and today we make another visit to chapter twelve. Here the religious leaders are coming against Jesus with some absurd and illogical accusations. Claiming He was casting out demons by satanic powers! But nothing could be further from the truth! In his three-part series on the restoration of Peter from John 21:15-19,Dr. Owen Strachan emphasizes that we are all like Peter, in need of restoration and forgiveness. He highlights that the purpose of studying biblical characters' sins is to understand our own sin and overcome it with the power of God. Strachan offers five reflections on the restoration of Peter and how it shapes our ongoing discipleship with Jesus Christ. He emphasizes the need for a gracious approach to addressing sin, the importance of embracing accountability and honesty, and the necessity of focusing on love and recognizing God's sovereignty in our lives.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
