Send us a textThis week, we turn the spotlight on one of the most infamous figures in Scripture—Judas Iscariot. His story reminds us that sin rarely starts big. It begins in the shadows: with impropriety, jealousy, and indignation that go unchecked. In this episode, Pastor Angela unpacks the slow drift of Judas's heart, showing how sin grows silently when ignored—and how even those closest to Jesus aren't immune to betrayal. From a hidden hand in the money bag to a public kiss of betrayal, this message explores how inward compromise becomes outward collapse. Using key scriptures from Matthew 26–27, John 12–13, and Acts 1, we're warned: "Sin never wants to stay small."

Send us a textBaby Monsters, Week 2: “The Secret That Cost Everything”Main Text: Judges 16:16–21 | Key Themes: Compromise, Desensitization, Consequences, and RedemptionThis week, we explored the tragic story of Samson—once chosen, strong, and anointed—but taken out by a series of small compromises and unchecked desires. His downfall didn't happen all at once. It started subtly: honey from a lion's carcass, hidden from his parents. Over time, Samson became desensitized to danger, flirting with sin and ignoring warning signs. His strength wasn't lost in one moment with Delilah—it was worn down through a series of choices that made room for the flesh and silenced the voice of the Spirit.Eventually, he didn't even realize the Lord had left him. That's the heartbreak of compromise: it blinds us before it binds us. But even in the pit, God wasn't done. The message ends with hope: “But his hair began to grow again.” A fresh start is always possible when we turn back to God. Thank you for listening to the Relate Community Church podcast! Send us a textYou may be one small act of obedience away from witnessing God's supernatural power transform your ordinary life into something extraordinary. When Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding in Cana—His very first recorded miracle—He demonstrated that nothing in our lives is too insignificant for His attention and intervention. The wedding servants faced a seemingly pointless task: filling massive water pots when what they needed was wine. Their confusion likely mirrored what many of us feel when God's instructions don't immediately solve our problems. Yet their simple obedience to Mary's direction—"Whatever He says to you, do it"—positioned them to witness a miracle firsthand. What speaks volumes is that Jesus chose this social predicament for His first miracle rather than something more dramatic like healing or resurrection. This reveals His deep care for what we might dismiss as "not important enough" to bring before Him. Your marriage struggles, parenting challenges, workplace frustrations, and personal doubts all matter to Him.The pathway to experiencing God's miraculous intervention requires proximity—getting close enough to hear His voice amid life's noise. Many believers remain spiritually confused simply because they're not leaning in to listen. That still, small voice is speaking, directing you toward steps that may seem impractical but will ultimately reveal His power. Remember: you can't reach the impossible if you're not willing to do the impractical. Are you holding that half-filled bucket, questioning why you should continue? Maybe you've been faithful in Bible reading, tithing, serving, or maintaining boundaries—yet seeing no results. Take heart and keep filling your water pots to the brim. Our responsibility is obedience; God's responsibility is the outcome. The miracle always looks foolish until it's finished.Ready to see God work? Step closer, listen carefully, and do whatever He tells you—no matter how mundane it seems. Your miracle awaits. Thank you for listening to the Relate Community Church podcast! Send us a textHave you ever allowed a problem to become your identity? In this powerful message, we dive into the often-overlooked story of the woman with the issue of blood from Mark 5. While everyone around her defined her by her suffering, Jesus saw beyond her condition to her true identity. The contrast is striking – Jairus enters the story with both his name and title intact, while this woman is known only by her affliction. For twelve years, she wasn't just bleeding physically; she was hemorrhaging her sense of self, her place in community, her very identity. How many of us have done the same? We transform our wounds into personas, our traumas into labels, until we forget who we truly are beneath the pain.Through this woman's encounter with Jesus, we discover a four-part framework for experiencing breakthrough and reclaiming our God-given identity. She heard about Jesus, controlling her intake and filling her mind with hope. She moved despite her limitations, pushing through the crowd when everything said she shouldn't. She thought with faith, choosing to believe "if I can just touch his robe, I will be healed" among the thousands of other possible negative thoughts. And finally, she told her story, vulnerably sharing her whole truth when Jesus called her out.But the most beautiful moment came when Jesus named her "daughter" – the only time in scripture he addressed anyone this way. In that moment, he didn't just heal her body; he restored her identity. He transformed her from an unnamed woman defined by her issue to a daughter with a place in God's family.Whether you're struggling with physical healing, emotional wounds, or a lost sense of self, this message will challenge you to stop letting your issues name you. You are more than your problems. You are a child of the Most High God. Thank you for listening to the Relate Community Church podcast! Don't forget to subscribe so you never miss an episode. What if our deepest struggle isn't just with sin, but with a hidden "orphan spirit" that distorts our perception of God and ourselves? Join us as we explore this profound question, revealing how feelings of rejection can obscure our true identity as beloved children of God. Through the lens of scripture, particularly John 14:18 and Romans 8, we unravel the spiritual implications of orphanhood and how embracing sonship can lead to a life free from fear and slavery. We peel back the layers of the human experience, especially from the perspective of faith leaders, who often grapple with their imperfections while guiding others. By confronting the "orphan spirit," we move beyond self-criticism and the relentless pursuit of external validation, discovering our worth in the embrace of God's love.As we share personal stories, including moments of revelation in Africa, we invite you to experience the transformative power of seeing God as a loving Father. From practical advice on finding father figures within the community to the healing journey of forgiveness, this episode is a call to introspection and spiritual renewal. If your faith isn't Challenging you, it's not changing you. Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” Since you call on a Father who judges each person's work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 1 Peter 1:13-17Don't trade Holiness for Happiness or Selfishness.Putting ourselves first is one of the most natural things we do.But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud … lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. 2 Timothy 3:1-5Hágios—holy, set apart, different, pure.So you must live as God's obedient children. Don't slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. 1 Peter 1:14“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." Romans 12:1 (NIV)Jesus Didn't Call Us To ...Promote ourselves, but to Humble ourselves.Pamper ourselves, but to Deny ourselves.Serve ourselves, but to Serve others.Put ourselves first, but to put ourselves Last.Seek our pleasure, but to pursue God's Purpose.… Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Matthew16:24Discussion Questions:Which part of the message was most impactful for you and why?In which three areas do you struggle most trying to fit in?When was a time you put your happiness above God's call for holiness? In what area of your life are you loving yourself more than loving God and loving others? PALM SUNDAY Palm Sunday commemorates the Triumphal Entry: the day Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey. You can find this event in all four Gospels (Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-10, Luke 19:28-38, and John 12:12-18). Jesus came to Jerusalem from Bethany, where He had raised Lazarus from the dead. As Jesus rode into the city, people came out to meet Him with palm branches, shouting: “Hosanna! Blessed is he that comes in the Name of the Lord, the King of Israel!” At the peak of His popularity, Jesus was also at the peak of conflict with the religious leaders in Jerusalem, who saw Him as a threat to Jewish peace with Rome. The word hosanna is an expression of adoration that means “Pray, save us!” This phrase is quoted by David in Psalm 118:25: “LORD, save us! LORD, grant us success!” Jesus came into Jerusalem as a king—triumphal and messianic. But He also came in humility, riding on a donkey's colt. He came celebrated by people whose loyalty was inconsistent at best. In just a few days they would reject Him, yet He still came... in the name and authority of the Lord. This juxtaposition of authority and humility was unique to Jesus' personhood and ministry; He is strong enough to save and selfless enough to do it. It is no coincidence that David's second line after ‘hosanna' was ‘blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.' ” (Psalm 118:26) TODAY'S READING: LUKE 19:28-42, ZEC. 9:9 What emotions does the Triumphal Entry bring up? How do you feel about this passage? “Hosanna” is both a cry of adoration and a cry for help. What is your “hosanna” today? Jesus' kingship is often forgotten in democratic society. Why does it matter so much? How would you explain the significance of Palm Sunday to someone else?
Join us for a heartfelt sermon that uplifts and inspires, titled 'Don't Bring Me Down: Bible-Approved Fun.' In this episode, we explore the boundless joy of the Lord and how our happiness isn't dictated by our circumstances. Drawing wisdom from Psalm 104 and 1 Thessalonians 4:1, we delve into God's desire for our happiness, emphasizing that joy, rest, and community are divine gifts not to be ignored. Discover why fun isn't just an optional extra, but a vital part of our salvation experience. Let's shout for joy, as encouraged by Psalms 25, and learn to embrace the joyful normal God intends for us. Tune in to be reminded that our greatest joy comes from a source that never changes, no matter what life throws our way.

If you're feeling lonely today, we've got good news! God is always with you. You've got a spiritual family that cares about you.Come to church and your spirits will be lifted!Read this and take a deep breath. We were never meant to have it all figured out. That means you're not supposed to know everything in advance or create the perfect plan.God created us for dependency. And regardless of how capable we think we are at the time, we have to put our pride aside and slow down long enough to take our burdens (and our plans) to the cross in prayer.Even if we think we know the answer.Even if we think we're smart enough.Even if we think we can do it alone.Because when we place too much faith in our own abilities to fix, we're like a plant grown in shallow soil. Our solutions may spring up fast but they'll die just as quickly. However, when we get our direction from the Lord, we're like a tree planted by water. Even when the droughts come, we'll still bloom.Make going to God in prayer your first priority - not your last resort.#love #selflove #recovery #art #mentalhealthawareness --
