The Brooklyn Nets have a decision to make with a draft pick this year, controlling what happens with the 76ers first-round pick after the James Harden-Ben Simmons trade. Will the Nets keep the pick or defer it to next season, an option a team had right now. The Locked on Nets guys talk about the possibilities and what can happen with this pick this season or next. Can the Nets package it together to improve their team, or maybe even add a talent in this year's draft? This episode of Triple Zeros kicks off wondering why Toronto Raptors rookie Scottie Barnes was asked how he felt about LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers before entering the league. Also, just as the Golden State Warriors got the band back together, Stephen Curry gets hurt. Things then shift over to the Eastern Conference as the James Harden-Ben Simmons trade will end up as a push for the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, but not in a good way. Still, Kevin Durant knows exactly what fans want (even if he doesn't care). And does Detroit Pistons wing Saddiq Bey having a 50-point outing prove the accomplishment isn't what it once was? On the NFL side, operation "No Days Off" is in full effect with Deshaun Watson getting traded from the Houston Texans to the Cleveland Browns. The Las Vegas Raiders signed Chandler Jones and then traded for Davante Adams leaving the AFC West incredibly loaded. Still, the Jacksonville Jaguars are the team currently "winning the offseason". Tom Brady is trying to recruit Julio Jones to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pete Carroll brought up Colin Kaepernick for no reason (again). 2-11-2022 Passed Ball Show. John opens up the program by throwing a couple of ideas out there of penalties he should suffer for being wrong over the James Harden/ Ben Simmons trade. He then talks about the Baseball Hall of Fame and how it is supposed to be a museum that tells the history of baseball. While baseball wants to forget and intentionally not tell the story of the steroid's era, it does not seem to have an issue in highlighting its refusal to integrate the sport any sooner than it did. It celebrates Hall of Famers such as Cap Anson and Kenesaw Landis, who did all they could to keep MLB white. John states that the steroids era was more worthy of celebrating that segregation. Baseball, its writers, and those who work for its Hall of Fame, seem to think that segregated baseball is better for the game to celebrate than the steroids era. John talks about the constant struggle that exists between Baseball's owners and players and how that might impact the future of minor league baseball. John brings up the possibility that MLB (led by the Commissioner and the owners) may actually be looking to eliminate minor league baseball. John spends the next half of the show talking about how it seems NBA players are not very bound to the very contracts they sign and have agreed to. John believes healthy players should not be paid to NOT play, citing John Wall in Houston (even though John knows this is not John Wall's fault) and of course, the displeasure expressed by Ben Simmons and James Harden leadind to the trade for each other. What other sport allows for its top players to decide whether or not they want to play for their team, the same team that is paying them to play. John talks about Kyler Murray and the Arizona Football Cardinals and whether he has earned a big time contract extension yet. John cites Dak Prescott and to this point, believes Kyler is not close to being on Dak's level.
WE ARE BACK! Talking about the latest NBA trades before the deadline. We talk about the effects of the James Harden/Ben Simmons deal and how it affects both the Sixers and the Nets. We also give our Super Bowl picks.

Extra Points with Cousin Sal, Dave Dameshek & Charlotte Wilder
Cousin Sal recaps presenting the Offensive Player of the Year award at the NFL Honors and Martin weighs in on his jokes. Sal worries he may have hugged Cooper Kupp too hard after finding out he has an injured back. Dave was not a fan of Aaron Rodgers's suit choice and thinks he might be intentionally doing these things to upset people. The guys discuss the rest of the NFL award winners and Martin collects from Dave on his Jonathan Taylor MVP bet. They also discuss odds on next year's NFL season. Then it's finally time for Sal, Martin and Dave to reveal their Super Bowl picks- they all expect a close, low scoring game but who will they go with between the Bengals or Rams? Martin thinks Dave should be worried he has the same bet as Drake.A special guest (Doug Rush) joins the show as Sal surprises Dave with an awkward conversation of who should get credit for the Pro-Bowl replacement idea. Doug and Dave eventually realize they have more in common than they think including a love of apples. Doug discusses his thoughts on the New York Giants next season and why Russell Wilson to New York might not work despite Ciara wanting it to happen. The guys then go over Super Bowl prop bets and Eddie quizzes then on past Super Bowl lines. With huge NBA trade deadline deals, Martin has some strong feelings on who won the James Harden/Ben Simmons trade and odds on who will win the Eastern Conference. Finally, the Extra Points crew makes their picks of the day and Dave asks the filthy questions: whose bath water would you drink from the show?
Alex and Gavin talk about the Knicks' quite frankly very fun win over the Golden State Warriors on the road after a very quiet NBA trade deadline, including Julius Randle's continued amazing play and Cam Reddish's first important run as a Knick. Then the show closes on why, despite the feel-good win, things still need to adjust for the Knicks down the stretch. And finally the guys grade the Kristap Porzingis and James Harden/Ben Simmons trades to close. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Super Bowl LVI is almost here, Cousin Sal and the Degenerate Trifecta are ready to give out their predictions but first reaction to the big trades at the NBA deadline. Parlay Kid and Harry agree that Brooklyn Nets got better by adding Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond (and draft picks) as James Harden once again played his way off a team. Cousin Sal reminds everyone to join the Cash or Splash Challenge- you could win money but you may also end up drinking Harry's brother Scott's bathwater. The guys make their Super Bowl bets as Harry finds an interesting stat of the Bengals against the NFC. Sal isn't so sure he believes in it but Harry says the numbers don't lie! Harry accuses Parlay Kid of having a bromance with Sean McVay. Sal and the Degenerate Trifecta also give out their favorite prop bets, first touchdown picks and will we see a scoragami? Then NFL Hall of Famer, former Houston Oilers quarterback Warren Moon joins the show to discuss his career, playing in big games and his Super Bowl prediction for Super Bowl LVI. Finally, the guys close things out making their Sharp Tank picks as Harry just causes more confusion with his bet.
Rafael Barlowe joins Chad to talk about the NBA Draft fallout to this year's trade deadline.
