The Temptations With A Lot O' Soul made it to #7 on Billboard album charts and was their biggest selling album from their classic 5 era. The album featured hits like (I Know) I'm Losing You, All I Need, You're My Everything & more. The great Funk Brothers provided their music and Norman Whitfield writing and production was all over the album as usual. David Ruffin was solidified as the main lead singer, but valuable contributions and lead vocals was still provided by the other members. This was Zeus' pick and as usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. In a league increasingly defined by youth and flash, Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers represent the grizzled veterans who refuse to fade. At 40 and 41, respectively, the duo's second showdown of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday—Bengals at Steelers—evokes a bygone era of pocket passers with ice in their veins. Their first clash, a Thursday night thriller on Oct. 16 in Cincinnati, was a 33-31 Bengals escape that felt like a nod to their Super Bowl legacies. Flacco, thrust into the Bengals' starting role amid Joe Burrow's injury woes, orchestrated a fourth-quarter masterclass. He went 31-of-47 for 342 yards and three touchdowns, capping the win with a game-winning drive that silenced a raucous Paycor Stadium crowd. Rodgers, in his Steelers debut after a surprise June free-agency signing, nearly stole it, tossing four scores on 249 yards but undone by two picks—including a back-breaking interception in the red zone. It marked just the second starting QB matchup of 40-plus-year-olds in NFL history, behind only Vinny Testaverde and Warren Moon in 2002.  Now, with Burrow practicing but Flacco downplaying any benching—"I'm honestly not really thinking about it"—the iron man from Audubon, N.J., gets the nod in Pittsburgh. The Bengals (3-6 post-bye) desperately need this to stay afloat in the AFC North, leaning on Ja'Marr Chase's explosiveness to exploit a Steelers secondary that's surrendered 1,200 receiving yards to wideouts this year. Flacco's steady 68% completion rate and seven TDs over his last four starts make him a sneaky fantasy gem, but the road test at Acrisure Stadium looms large. For Rodgers, wearing black and gold has been a mixed bag: 2,100 yards and 15 TDs, but the Steelers' 4-5 mark reflects offensive line woes and a run game that's averaged a measly 3.8 yards per carry. Najee Harris must grind early to set up play-action magic, or Flacco's poise could haunt them again. This "Old Bowl" rematch isn't just divisional fireworks—it's a testament to longevity in a brutal sport. Will Rodgers reclaim his four-time MVP aura, or does Flacco, the eternal bridesmaid turned Bengal savior, prove age is merely a number? Kickoff at 1 p.m. ET promises answers, with playoff implications hanging in the balance. Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ Track Name Holy (Trap). They break down how the deal would work, why Michigan and USC's boards are unanimously opposed, and whether locking in media rights through 2046 is dangerously short-sighted given how dramatically college sports has evolved over the past decade.Next, they dive into the Tyler Skaggs wrongful death trial that just began in California. The Angels face $118 million in damages as the family argues negligent retention after communications director Eric Kay—who was convicted of supplying the drugs that killed Skaggs—was kept on staff despite red flags. Could this set precedent for team liability across all professional sports? The guys then unpack Mark Sanchez's wild situation from the past couple of weeks: from Fox Sports analyst to felony assault charges after a 3 a.m. alley altercation in Indianapolis. They discuss the bizarre details, the destroyed broadcasting career, and whether there's any path back for the former quarterback.Dan and Tarun also react to James Franklin's $49 million Penn State buyout after the team collapsed from 3-0 to 3-3, debate whether Matt Rule is really a viable replacement, and discuss the mitigation clause that could reduce the payout. Plus, they touch on Bill Belichick's brutal start at UNC and whether his contract protections will even matter if the losses continue. Finally, they explore the Utah Mammoth trademark battle with Mammoth Hockey Bags, comparing it to the Cleveland Guardians roller derby saga and discussing the SEO argument happening in real time. What to Watch For: Dan highly recommends Amazon Prime's "Evolution of the Black Quarterback" documentary featuring Michael Vick, and shares fascinating stories about Doug Williams, Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, and how the position slowly integrated. From the publisher: The quarterback: the American equivalent of royalty, long glamorized, mythologized, and worshipped. Still, long before the Super Bowl trophies, massive contracts, brand deals, and millions of social media followers comes the dream. From the backyard to Pop Warner, from high school to college, from the NFL to the Hall of Fame, becoming the country's ultimate idol requires single-minded focus while navigating a maze of bad breaks, insecurities, jealousy, pressure, and fame.Long known as the outsider's guide into this elite world, Seth Wickersham's fresh reporting goes deep into the quarterback journey, measuring the distance between what the men who have traveled it expected and what they found at the end of the road. Through unprecedented access into the lives of dozens of quarterbacks and generational greats such as Johnny Unitas, John Elway, Peyton Manning, Warren Moon, Steve Young, and others, as well as those figures striving to be remembered, like Caleb Williams and Arch Manning, Wickersham reveals how this one position has become emblematic of success in American life.As an inside look into a uniquely American job and a uniquely American obsession with football, American Kings is a must-read for sports fans and anyone who wants to understand what the price of ambition tells us about the quest for achievement and status.Information on his book can be found at: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/789617/american-kings-by-seth-wickersham/He is on Twitter at https://x.com/sethwickersham?lang=enSupport our show and Reach out and Read of Tampa Bay at https://patreon.com/axelbankhistoryAxelbankHistory.com is designed by https://www.ellieclairedesigns.com/Axelbank Reports History and Today" can be found on social media at https://twitter.com/axelbankhistoryhttps://instagram.com/axelbankhistoryhttps://facebook.com/axelbankhistory

NFL Hall of Famer Warren Moon joins Jimmy to talk about his remarkable path from being overlooked by NFL teams to winning five straight Grey Cups in Canada and eventually starring for the Houston Oilers. He shares why he chose the CFL out of college, what it meant to become a trailblazing Black quarterback in the NFL, and the pride of being enshrined in both the Canadian and Pro Football Halls of Fame.Warren and Jimmy dig into leadership and longevity: the mindset that carried him through 23 seasons, how he led locker rooms without the “rah-rah,” and why ownership–coach–QB alignment matters most. They revisit the infamous Bills comeback, the grind of short-week Thursday games, old-school Astrodome turf burns, and how today's rules, 17- (soon 18-) game schedules, fantasy, and betting have reshaped football. You'll also hear fun throwbacks—Tecmo Super Bowl rockets, an NBA Jam cameo—and a candid look at player safety: concussions, CTE awareness, and the gear and practice changes Warren wishes existed in his era.00:00 Introduction02:00 Early days, CFL success, and making it to the NFL06:30 Breaking barriers as a Black quarterback & handling pressure10:30 Houston Oilers years, playoff battles, and leadership lessons15:30 Evolution of the NFL: rules, fantasy football, and betting20:00 Player safety, concussions, and the cost of the game23:00 Memorable moments, tough stadiums, and the Bills comeback26:42 Outro
