How do we know if something going on is spiritual in nature? How can we tell if we're under attack by evil? Many of you are asking me why I keep saying this current situation is from the enemy. Today, let's look at examples in the Word so that we can observe how the adversary works. We can see very specific, telltale signs that point to demonic attack. God says we must be on guard against the schemes of the devil and today, we'll put on the armor together! Seeing these attacks for what they are help us know how to handle them in our daily lives. We are at a place where we need to do some soul searching in our country. We are having to talk about things that we don’t like to talk about as we are in the middle of a grab for power and control of a narrative like I’ve never seen before. When we stand up against the narrative being pushed by the media and the radical left, we see division in our churches, families, and our closest communities. This agenda is unearthing issues that we need to deal with for sure, but they are not the issues the radical left thinks we need to correct. We can not sacrifice truth on the altar of misguided mercy or be shamed into thinking we are in sin when we are not. God is at work,  and unless and until we open our eyes to see what is happening with this media driven narrative we will continue to fall into their trap.  This is about control, and we need to be discerning and see the big picture so we don’t inadvertently perpetuate a misguided message. In recent years, we have seen an escalating push to allow tweens and teens “autonomy” with regard to their health care decisions. Teens have access to abortion without parents knowledge or consent. Doctors are asking invasive and leading questions away from parents since mom and dad are being told they can no longer sit in on routine doctor appointments and are often shamed into relinquishing their rights are parents by zealous doctors and even office staff. I’m actually speechless at the way that Christians are responding to a situation that is literally robbing us of freedom, potentially generational in nature.  We could see a systemic loss of freedom in our nation, and we are being criticized for fighting for it. It is not wrong to value liberty, and to call it being “addicted to personal freedom” is mind-numbing to me. Yes, we need to be salt and light. We need to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Jesus knew how hard this world was going to be. In His wisdom, He laid the groundwork for us—and we need to lay the groundwork for our kids. Jesus showed us how to suffer and not lose heart, how to view suffering, and how to view God in the middle of the struggle.
