The fight for life is far from over. Family Research Council’s Mary Szoch joins host Casey Harper to discuss what the life issue landscape looks like since the overturn of Roe v. Wade. While a lot of good has come from that decision, abortions have actually been on the rise over the last few years - driven largely by the widespread use of chemical abortion pills like mifepristone. Harper and Szoch unpack the health risks of mifepristone, Planned Parenthood’s latest report, and clarify that pro-life laws protect, not endanger, women. It's Tuesday, June 3rd, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Indonesian boy killed for his Christian faith An 8-year-old Indonesian boy in the Seberida district was killed for his faith in Jesus on May 19th, reports International Christian Concern. Indonesia is an 87% Muslim country. The boy, publicly named as K.B., was beaten to death by five older Muslim boys. Pastor Piet, of the GPDI Solagracia church where the family worshipped, remembers him as a child who was “diligent in Sunday school, often participating in Bible quizzes, and often winning.” His father said, “He was my first child. My second child is a girl. He was a good and strong child. He dreamed of becoming a soldier. I used to want to become a soldier, but I didn't. That's why I wanted him to become a soldier.” Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Polish voters elect conservative president After a national election over the weekend, Poland will join a growing group of Western nations moving to the right of center -- more nationalistic, more supportive of traditional values, and more opposed to the internationalism of the day. A former boxer and historian, Mr. Karol Nawrocki, won the presidential election by a close vote of 50.9% to 49.1%. Nawrocki had been endorsed by President Donald Trump. Nawrocki quoted 2 Chronicles 7:14, stating that God would “heal the land” if they would “turn away from wicked ways, reports the Associated Press.” The conservative edge in Poland has stood firm against pro-abortion policies and pro-European Union trends over the last five years. That will appear to continue with the Nawrocki administration. Poland will join the United States, Argentina, Hungary, and Italy, as nations that have moved in a conservative direction over the last few election cycles. GOP Senate fiscal hawks balking at price tag of Trump's Bill President Donald Trump's Big Beautiful Federal Spending Bill is heading to the U.S. Senate. But several Republican senators are balking at the price tag, including Senators Rand Paul of Kentucky and Josh Hawley of Missouri, reports Liberty Counsel Action. GOP Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin is proposing that at least $838 billion be cut from federal spending to reduce government expenditures from 23.3% to 20.6% of the gross national income. This would reduce government to the relative size of the economy in 2019 before the COVID crisis. In other words, Senator Johnson is simply requesting that government be reduced to pre-pandemic levels. Presently, the Congressional Budget Office is estimating that President Trump's Big Beautifull Bill will add another $22 trillion to the $37 trillion of federal debt — putting the U.S. debt at 134% of the Gross Domestic Product by 2035. Japan and United States have weak bond auctions The leading Keynesian governments in the world are having a hard time getting people to fund their debt. Japan's bond auction yielded the weakest demand since the 2010 recession. The U.S. bond auction last week was extremely weak, resulting in 30-year bond interest to bump up to 5.15% — the highest rate since 2007. Ukrainian drone attack took out one-third Russian's long-range bombers Ukraine dispatched a drone attack deep into Russia, hitting some key military sites over the weekend. The bombings have reportedly taken out more than one-third of Russia's long range bombers, crippling Russia's nuclear capabilities. Homosexual pride marches have lost up to 50% of sponsorship The licentious elements of society are celebrating their pride month in June. Slate.com reports a reduction in corporate sponsorships of the homosexual/transgender pride marches in the U.S. Some have lost 40-50% of the corporate monies they have received in previous years. Plus, companies like Comcast, Anheuser-Busch, and Smirnoff have dropped Pride sponsorships altogether. The firm Booz Allen Hamilton pulled sponsorships, referring to the president's executive orders -- one of which prohibits the U.S. government from contracting with companies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. The World Pride event is taking place in Washington D.C. this year, the first time in the United States since the New York City event in 2019. The larger sponsors of homosexual/transgender Pride events like World Pride include Hilton, Delta Airlines, Amazon, IKEA, Verizon, Corona, Fresca, and Starbucks. Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and Kroger are also supporting homosexual events this year. 1 John 2:16 and 17 speaks of lust and pride. It says, “All that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” Focus on the Family targeted for affirming God's design for sexuality Focus on the Family is being targeted by the Southern Poverty Law Center for its opposition to homosexual behavior and gender transition for youths. The leftist group was particularly outraged with Jim Daly's more recent interviews of Rosaria Butterfield, and an interview of Walt Heyer and Kathy Grace Duncan. These were Christians who have repented of sins of homosexual behavior and transgenderism. The Southern Poverty Law Center has been notorious for conflating Christian groups with Neo-Nazi and racist groups in the United States, and promoting persecution of Christians. Other ministries on their list include Family Research Council, Liberty Council, Coral Ridge Ministries, Alliance Defending Freedom, and Generations. Abortion Kill Pill creator died at 98 A French scientist, responsible for the deaths of 50 million babies, himself died last week at 98 years of age. Étienne-Émile Baulieu was instrumental in the development of the abortion kill pill, RU-486, in 1980. About half of abortions in developed nations have been conducted by the abortion pill since the 2010s. Today, chemical abortion accounts for 63% of all abortions in America. The BBC reports that French President Emmanuel Macron, called Dr Baulieu "a beacon of courage" and "a progressive mind who enabled women to win their freedom." 6 Worldview donors gave $730 And finally, toward this week's $30,875 goal to fund The Worldview newcast by this Friday, June 6th, six listeners stepped up to the plate. Our thanks to Daniel in San Luis Potosí, Mexico who gave $5, Kimberly in Sacramento, California who gave $25, and Deborah in Cosmopolis, Washington who gave $50. We're also grateful to God for Keith and Marsha in Morgan, Colorado who gave $100, Genita in Bardstown, Kentucky who gave $250, and Frances in Beacon, New York who pledged $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300. Ready for our total? Drum roll please. (Drum roll sound effect) $730 (People clapping sound effect) That means by this Friday, we need to raise $30,145. I received an intriguing text from a friend in Michigan. She suggested that I ask if someone would prayerfully consider underwriting half of our entire budget. That would be $61,750. Or perhaps you could cover the $30,145 that we need to raise this week. But, alas if those big dollar amounts are not remotely possible, every $25 and $50 donation gets us incrementally closer to being fully funded. Just go to TheWorldview.com and click on Give on the top right. I would love to see 20 people make donations on this, our second day. Consider making a monthly pledge by clicking on the recurring donation tab. Let's see what the Lord will do as The Worldview in 5 Minutes proclaims the truth in a world of pagan-biased news. The overturning of Roe v. Wade marks one of the biggest moments of our lifetimes. For 50 years, abortion was protected by the Supreme Court, but in the Dobbs decision in 2022, the court overturned Roe, allowing states to protect life by restricting abortion. What can Christians do now? How should we continue to treasure and preserve life? How can we live biblically in the world after Roe v. Wade? David Closson joins the podcast to discuss his new book Life After Roe: Equipping Christians in the Fight for Life Today. Check out this new book and follow David's work at the Family Research Council.

For this week's episode of Fearless, I sat down with Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council (FRC), to unpack what it means to live with moral courage in today's culture of confusion and compromise. Tony draws from his decades of experience in public service, ministry, and policy advocacy to talk about how to stand for truth—even when it costs you.Together we explore the alarming lack of moral courage among today's leaders and the pressing need for Christians to fear God more than man. Tony highlights FRC's ongoing efforts to equip pastors and believers through resources like the Stand Firm app and the Center for Biblical Worldview. He also addresses misconceptions about the separation of church and state, outlines the importance of the Free Speech Fairness Act, and assesses the Trump administration's policies supporting religious freedom and life.As we take a deeper look at the spiritual battles often found behind political struggles, we emphasize that true hope lies in a national spiritual awakening, not political reform alone. If you've ever wondered how to speak truth in love, stand firm in a hostile world, or what it really means to be fearless—I hope this conversation will compel you to be the salt and light our world needs in your sphere of influence. It's Monday, April 21st, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus New law criminalizes praying with someone about gender, sexuality identity On April 4, the Australian state of New South Wales began enforcing a new law criminalizing anti-conversion therapy, which now includes praying with someone about their gender or sexual identity and even encouraging abstinence for homosexual Christians, reports International Christian Concern. On the website “Anti-Discrimination New South Wales,” a government body that administers and investigates anti-discrimination, they note that “praying with or over a person with the intent to change or suppress their sexuality or gender identify is unlawful … even if that person has asked you to pray for them to be able to change or suppress their sexuality or gender identity.” The law – known as the New South Wales's Conversion Practices Ban Act 2024 -- is part of a trend of laws that seek to outlaw so-called “conversion therapy,” the clinical practice of helping someone embrace their God-given sexuality and gender. What makes the law different is how broadly “conversion therapy” is defined beyond a traditional clinical setting. In an interview with The Washington Stand, Arielle Del Turco, director of the Center for Religious Liberty at the Family Research Council, said, “This is a terrible new law in this Australian state, and they aren't even trying to hide it. According to the state government's own admission from their website, this law will prevent a pastor or any believer from praying with someone who is asking for prayer for freedom from gender identity issues.” Genesis 1:27 says, "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Italy's top court scraps ‘mother' and ‘father' on ID cards Italy's Supreme Court of Cassation has restored the use of “Parent 1” and “Parent 2” on Italian ID cards because it deemed that calling parents ‘father' and ‘mother' is discriminatory against homosexual couples, reports the European Conservative. To her credit, conservative Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had announced the return of the terms “father” and “mother” on identity documents back in 2023. Supreme Court blocks deportation of illegal Venezuelans On Saturday, the Supreme Court temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deporting an unspecified number of illegal Venezuelan men, currently in immigration custody, who are alleged to be members of a criminal gang, reports The Epoch Times. The order was issued after the American Civil Liberties Union filed an emergency request on behalf of its Venezuelan clients late on April 18 asking the Supreme Court to immediately block the Trump administration from deporting the clients. On March 14th, President Donald Trump signed Proclamation 10903, in which he officially declared that Tren de Aragua, a designated foreign terrorist organization, “is perpetrating, attempting, and threatening an invasion or predatory incursion against the territory of the United States.” The president invoked the Alien Enemies Act to authorize the “immediate apprehension, detention, and removal” of members of the group who are Venezuelan citizens 14 years of age or older and who are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States. Democrats want to visit El Salvador's prison housing deported illegals Democrats in both chambers of Congress are working to organize delegations to El Salvador to see the prison where President Trump is sending these violent illegal immigrants. Initially, El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele built the prison in 2022 as part of a response to surging gang violence in El Salvador, according to National Public Radio. Each cell can fit 65 to 70 prisoners, and the prison has a capacity of 40,000 inmates. Trump asked Bukele to build five identically-sized prisons to receive more violent illegal immigrants from America. The deported Venezuelan illegals are living in the same conditions as convicted gangsters. Democrat Representatives Delia Ramirez (D-Ill.), Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) and Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.) as well as Democrat Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) are the politicians who want to fly to El Salvador. However, House Homeland Security Committee chair Mark Green, a Republican from Tennessee, said he wouldn't grant their request, reports Axios. CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings explained that this kind of move by the Democrats is why they only have a 21% approval rating by the American public. JENNINGS: “First of all, I'm more than happy to hear the Congressman say they're all going to El Salvador. I think for Republicans, this just confirms what we have believed about the Democratic Party and why it currently has a 21% approval rating in Congress. “Look where the energy in the Democratic Party is. It's around retrieving illegal aliens from El Salvador. It's around fighting for these college campuses that have been rife with anti semitism. It's around biological males who want to play in girls' sports. “This is why they are losing to Donald Trump every day, because the energy that Democrats feel comes on all these issues that are fundamentally not where the American people are.” Rahm Emmanuel wants to run for President In the world of politics, Democrat Rahm Emanuel has done a lot. Not only did he serve as President Bill Clinton's Senior Advisor for policy and strategy and as U.S. Congressman from Illinois for three terms, but Emmauel was President Barack Obama's White House Chief of Staff, served as mayor of Chicago, and most recently was the United States ambassador to Japan. Now, Rahm Emmanuel wants to be president. In a recent speech, he said, “I am done with the discussion of locker rooms. I am done with the discussion of bathrooms. We better start having a conversation about the classroom,” drawing applause as he alluded to a new study showing more than two-thirds of eighth graders can't read at grade level. Texas House greenlights $210 million to support pregnant women To hear it from abortion activists, pro-life Americans don't care about women and children – especially after banning abortions. But in the state of Texas that notion is totally false, reports LifeNews. On April 11th, Texas lawmakers gave preliminary approval to $210 million in support for pregnant moms. Texas Right to Life explained, “The Texas House voted to fully fund life-saving nonprofits at $210 million in the Thriving Texas Families program. These providers help mothers choose Life by offering baby materials (like diapers and formula), counseling, and job skills training. This victory isn't about dollars. It's about the children and families rescued from abortion.” Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, April 21st, in the year of our Lord 2025. The ERLC's presence in our nation's capital allows us to speak up, for, and from our Southern Baptist churches before various audiences. In our previous episodes, we've covered the executive and judicial branches, demonstrating the need for Christians' involvement in the various facets of our government because policies have real-world effects on all of us. Today, our focus turns to the legislative branch. To help us better understand the legislative branch and why our involvement matters is David Closson. Family Research Council’s David Closson joins Joseph Backholm to discuss his new book Life After Roe, examining the impact of Roe v. Wade’s overturn in 2022. While 22,000 lives were saved, abortion reached an all-time high in the years following the overturn. They explore the role of pro-life laws, the church’s response, and the emerging debate on IVF. As culture shifts, how do we stay committed to biblical truth and protect the most vulnerable?

It's Monday, March 3rd, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus 40 Uyghur Muslim men deported from Thailand to China A group of 40 Uyghur Muslim men detained in Thailand for more than a decade were deported to China in the early hours of February 27th, reports Christian Solidarity Worldwide. Romadon Panjor, a Thai Member of Parliament, reported witnessing two sets of vehicles with covered windows transporting detainees from the International Detention Centre in Suan Phlu, Bangkok. The 40 men were among a group of approximately 300 Uyghurs who were detained by Thai authorities on March 13, 2014 after crossing the border into Thailand in an attempt to escape persecution in China. Family Research Council has documented that China is detaining 1.8-3 million Uyghur Muslims in Internment Camps. Mexico extradites dozens of cartel leaders to US Mexico has begun the process of extraditing dozens of high-level cartel leaders and members to the United States, including Rafael Caro Quintero, a former leader of the Guadalajara cartel involved in the kidnapping and murder of Drug Enforcement Administration agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena in 1985, reports FoxNews. The founders of Los Zetas, Miguel and Omar Morales, also known as Z-40 and Z-42, will be extradited to the U.S. as well. The extraditions were done at the request of the U.S. government as President Donald Trump's tariff deadline looms. One of the president's demands is for Mexico to crack down on dangerous cartels and fentanyl production and distribution. Psalm 37:28 says, “For the LORD loves justice; he will not forsake his faithful ones.” Pope Francis's health declining Pope Francis' health took a sudden decline today after he had an attack of “bronchospasm” resulting in his inhalation of vomit from the attack, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Trump and Vance confront Zelenskyy in Oval Office President Donald Trump berated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for being “disrespectful” Friday in an extraordinary Oval Office meeting, then abruptly called off the signing of a minerals deal that Trump said would have moved Ukraine closer to ending its war with Russia, reports the Associated Press. Here's the key moment as Zelensky is explaining how Russian President Vladimir Putin did not keep his word. ZELENSKYY: “[Putin] killed our people, and he didn't exchange prisoners. We signed the exchange of prisoners, but he didn't do it. What kind of diplomacy, J.D., you are speaking about? What do you mean?” VANCE: “I'm talking about the kind of diplomacy that's going to end the destruction of your country.” ZELENSKYY: (inaudible) “Yes, but …” VANCE: “Mr. President, Mr. President, with respect. I think it's disrespectful for you to come to the Oval Office and try to try to litigate this in front of the American media. Right now, you guys are going around and forcing conscripts to the front lines because you have manpower problems. You should be thanking the president for trying to bring an end to this conflict.” ZELENSKYY: “Have you ever been to Ukraine that you say what problems we have?” VANCE: “I have been to...” ZELENSKYY: “You have come once.” VANCE: “I have actually, I've actually watched and seen the stories, and I know what happens is you bring people. You bring them on a propaganda tour, Mr. President. Do you disagree that you've had problems bringing people in your military?” ZELENSKY: “We have problems.” VANCE: “And do you think.” ZELENSKYY: “I will answer.” VANCE: “that it's respectful to come to the Oval Office of the United States of America and attack the administration that is trying to prevent the destruction of your country?” ZELENSKY: “A lot of questions. Let's start from the beginning.” VANCE: “Sure.” ZELENSKYY: “First of all, during the war, everybody has problems, even you. But you have nice ocean and don't feel now, but you will feel it in the future.” TRUMP: “You don't know that. Don't tell us what we're gonna feel. We're trying to solve a problem. Don't tell us what we're gonna feel.” ZELENSKYY: “I'm not telling you. I'm answering all his questions.” TRUMP: “because you're no position to dictate that exactly.” TRUMP: “You're in no position to dictate what we're going to feel. We're going to feel very good.” ZELENSKYY: “You will feel influenced.” TRUMP: “We're going to feel very good and very strong.” ZELENSKYY: “You will feel influenced.” TRUMP: “You're right now not in a very good position. You don't have the cards right now. With us, you start having cards.” ZELENSKY: “I'm not playing cards. I'm very serious, Mr. President.” TRUMP: “You're playing cards. You're gambling with the lives of millions of people. You're gambling with World War Three!” Social Security announces significant workforce reductions The Social Security Administration is set to lay off a large number of employees, with workers being offered incentives of up to $25,000 for voluntary separation, reports The Epoch Times. Heart disease could be prevented with this one simple test After abortion, heart disease is the second leading cause of mortality. But that doesn't mean people are powerless against the condition — there are some steps they can take to help reduce the risk. In addition to adopting healthier lifestyle habits, getting a specific screening — the coronary artery calcium or CAC score — can help detect early signs of heart disease, reports Fox News. The CAC score is a specialized Computed Tomography or CT scan that measures calcium buildup in the walls of the heart's arteries, according to board-certified cardiologist Dr. Robert Segal, founder of Manhattan Cardiology. He said, "This calcium points to the accumulation of plaque that can cause heart disease." The higher the score, the more calcium in the arteries, thus a greater likelihood of a heart attack, stroke or other cardiac issue. In 1 Corinthians 6:19, the Apostle Paul asks, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.” New abortion battle opening up over state shield laws And finally, the national abortion battle is moving to a new front, and it's one that stretches across state lines, reports The Epoch Times. A telemedicine abortion provider in New York has thrust the state's abortion shield law into the spotlight, setting the stage for an unprecedented state-against-state clash on one of the nation's most divisive issues. Abortionist Maggie Carpenter of New Paltz, New York, was fined in Texas and charged in Louisiana for providing abortion kill pills to patients in the two states, where the procedure is all but banned. Judge Bryan Gantt of Collin County, Texas, ordered Carpenter to pay $100,000 in penalties, plus attorney's fees, for prescribing the abortion kill pill to a woman near Dallas in violation of Texas law. He also barred the doctor from prescribing abortion medication to future Texas patients. The February 13th ruling was made just two days after Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry signed a warrant for Carpenter's arrest and extradition to his state to stand trial for allegedly prescribing abortion kill pills to a pregnant minor.
