Today we're joined by Stella Morabito, author of "The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer," to discuss how the Left uses social isolation as a political weapon and how we can fight back. First, we talk about how we are hardwired to connect with others and therefore why social isolation is such a powerful tool to be used against us. We look at Surgeon General Vivek Murthy's comments on the loneliness epidemic and explain that his plans for combatting loneliness actually lead us down the path of more government control and ultimately more loneliness. We explain why people get strength from the private sphere and why the government can't control us from the private sphere. Then we take a look at the drive to socially engineer our societies and relationships and how this was exploited during COVID by elites who never had to endure the consequences. We also look at the theological implications and explain biblically why denying our innate nature leads to depression and chaos. Today, the Two Mikes were joined by Stella Morabito, a staff writer for the The Federalist, and the author of a new book called The Weaponization of Loneliness:How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer (Available from Amazon). Ms. Morabito argues that the federal government and its bureaucrats, doctors, and business/tech allies, used the Covid Pandemic to push the isolation of Americans as far as possible. Imagine, Ms. Morabito said, if there is anything more isolating and sadistic than U.S. government orders preventing children from visiting their dying parents who were forced into old folks' homes and hospitals. The entire Covid sham was a federal government effort -- on orders from the UN's WHO and the World Economic Forum -- to oppress its opponents, manipulate the presidential election, attack religion by closing places of worship, and isolate Americans from each other as much as possible. The impact of the latter has created a spike in mental health problems in adults and children across America, and the federal government is using that fact to take measures that will further isolate Americans by claiming that another Covid attack is coming and will be accompanied by another nationwide lockdown. The first fake pandemic weakened the ties of Americans to family, friends, community, and faith in God, the second is intended to break those ties. Ms. Morabito also said -- and remember this one -- that the federal government wants to isolate Americans because isolation promotes conformity, and because it fears the non-conformity that is empowered and supported by an individual's close ties to family, friends, community, and faith. The degree of this fear i s clearly shown in a recent report from the U.S. Surgeon which urges the federal government to take over the problem of isolation and create laws that will allow the government to "fix" the problem of isolation. Who knows? The government has a lot of those cages that Obama used for children at the border and they may be the first step the Congress approves to "fix" the isolation problem. The next step probably is the elimination of free speech, which Ms.Morabito accurately says is the great "connector" of people. In one of our most talked about episodes, Stella Morabito came on the show in May to talk about her book The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer. We talked about a new kind tyranny creeping into American lives. Government, social media and a new kind of “ruling class” are increasingly working to control speech and behavior and isolating us from one another. This effort is intensifying and spreading throughout society's institutions. “Isolation, and how rulers use it to control people, is really the greatest threat to freedom, no matter what level of tyranny it is,” explained Stella. And now, as if right on cue, the U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy has released an advisory titled “Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation.” It warns that social isolation is a major public health problem and that the federal government should both fund and direct local organizations to “strengthen social infrastructure in local communities.” The Orwellian advisory in effect warns that participation is mandatory if their plan is to work. In Murthy's report you'll find no admission of the government's key role in promoting anti-family, anti-faith, and anti-speech policies that drive people into social isolation, nor for its responsibility in brutally enforcing our isolation during its Covid era. Also jumping into the federal government loneliness business is Democrat Senator Chris Murphy who has introduced a bill - the National Strategy for Social Connection Act - that would “create a federal office to combat the growing epidemic of American loneliness, develop anti-loneliness strategies, and foster best practices to promote social connection.” It would be housed in the Executive Office of the President reporting to Joe Biden. So the federal government, which just three years ago commanded Americans to “lock yourself up, don't go to work, school, or church, cover your face, social distance, close your business, stay far away from other people, even your family” is now telling us it can solve the isolation and loneliness problem it created. We're living in insane times. To talk all this through I'm joined on this episode by two wise thinkers and counselors: Stella Morabito, again, and Mark Tapscott. Stella Morabito, a senior contributor at The Federalist, writes extensively on the effects of propaganda, group think, censorship, and the cult mindset. Previously she was an analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency specializing in Soviet politics, and communist media and propaganda. Mark Tapscott is an award-winning veteran investigative journalist who covers Congress for The Epoch Times, and is the founding editor of HillFaith. Mark was admitted to the National Freedom of Information Act Hall of Fame class of 2006, and he was named the Conservative Journalist of the Year in 2008 by CPAC. There are many ways to combat isolation and cope with the problems of loneliness. As you might guess, we don't think federal government agencies should be part of the solution. (Unless they simply get out of the way.) Listen in.

People want family. They want strong relationships. Nobody wants to be lonely. And that's why what I call the ‘weaponization of loneliness' is so effective.”In this episode, I sit down with Stella Morabito, a senior contributor at The Federalist. She's a former CIA intelligence analyst who studied the psychology behind Soviet Union propaganda.“It doesn't even matter how fringy an idea is. If you keep injecting it into public discourse over and over and over again, you create this cascade of public opinion. And people will go along with it, primarily for reputational reasons,” says Ms. Morabito. “It all depends on who speaks … and who remains silent.”We discuss her latest book, “The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer.”“People aren't terrorized as easily if they have strong bonds of relationships. And that's why the private sphere is such a target—has always been such a target of tyrants and authoritarians, because that's where our power lies … That's where we get the strength to deal with so much of what comes at us in life,” says Ms. Morabito. We also discuss the impact of social media and new technologies on society, and how they further serve to isolate people from strong bonds and deep relationships with others.“With these technocratic devices … it feels as though we're … being nudged into a kind-of virtual solitary confinement,” says Ms. Morabito.
“Terror can rule absolutely only over men who are isolated against each other.… Therefore, one of the primary concerns of all tyrannical government is to bring this isolation about.” — Hannah Arendt, The Origins of Totalitarianism “Americans have long sensed a new kind tyranny creeping into our lives. This disquiet has hovered in the background for a long time, though most of us couldn't put our finger on it. Trends to control speech and behavior are isolating us from one another, and they have begun to intensify rapidly and spread throughout society's institutions.” — Stella Morabito In this episode Stella Morabito returns to talk about her recently published book The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer. Stella, a prolific author at The Federalist, writes incisively about the social fallout of propaganda, mob psychology, and the cult mindset, drawing in part from her years as an analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency where she focused on methods of Soviet propaganda and disinformation, and its state-controlled media. Some excerpts from our conversation: The underlying dynamic of totalitarianism is the same: a machinery of loneliness that threatens to turn people into social pariahs in order to extort compliance. History is filled with vivid examples - Cromwell's England, Robespierre's France, Lenin and Stalin's Russia, Hitler's Germany, Mao's China - of the damage done by totalitarian regimes that impose the machinery fueled by the conformity impulse and terror of isolation. “Isolation and how tyrants use it to control people, is really the greatest threat to freedom, no matter what level of tyranny it is. It can be a gaslighting partner, it could be a cult leader, it could be a world-class dictator. I finally concluded that there is a machinery at work—a machinery of loneliness. Tyrants operate that machinery—wittingly or not—in order to disarm those they wish to control.” When signals surfaced in America —such as anti-speech codes written into federal law in the 1990s allegedly to curb hate—we tended to shrug them off. It was too frightening to believe those speech codes could really lead to direct attacks on freedom of speech protected by the First Amendment. Yet a new kind of authoritarianism has multiplied over the course of decades, usually with the claim that they were needed to ensure justice against racism or sexism. Multiculturalism took root, then morphed into identity politics and intersectionality. When the canon of Western civilization came under direct attack in the 1980s, few expected it to be followed by direct attacks on free speech on college campuses. But it was, and with a vengeance. “The weaponization of isolation and loneliness drives just about everything in human affairs. The threat of social isolation tends to determine what we say or don't say. Then it begins to regulate what we think and how we behave.” “Oppression is inevitable in one-party states that sustain themselves through constant propaganda and censorship and the subversion of any independent institution. They're driven to control the speech, thoughts, and, therefore, the associations of their presumed subjects, usually through some form of demonization.” So we need a line of action against this tyranny and can start by asking what is its essential weakness? The short answer is … free speech. “People say, "Oh, it's so daunting. What can I do?" Well, the thing to remember is that even one voice makes a huge difference, because they're always trying to shut down every single solitary voice.” “Our strength as human beings really comes from our connections in the private sphere of life. Just a single honest voice can make a big difference.”
Full Hour | In today's second hour, Dom welcomes FOP Lodge 5 President John McNesby back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the decision by a Commons Pleas Court Judge Craig Levin, who struck down a lawsuit filed by the FOP to reverse Philadelphia's Driving Equality Law, which McNesby claims is unconstitutional and binds the hands of Philadelphia officers to do their job. John tells that his attorneys expected this decision, telling that they do intend to appeal the decision, knowing the political biases of Philadelphia judges. Also, Dom and John discuss the racial component of the bill, and John tells how exactly a law such as this negatively affects the department and recruitment. Then, Dom and Dan bounce around two topics, one being a protest at the Tennessee state house, and the RESTRICT Act, which both are against, with Dom making sure to point out that he is still in favor of banning the Chinese app TikTok. This catalyzes a conversation between the two, with both revealing why they're so against TikTok but also against the new bill. Then, Dom welcomes in Stella Morabito, author of The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer, back onto the Dom Giordano Program to hear about the new book and the attempts to silence free speech in today's society. Morabito explains tactics being used today in an effort to force isolation and divide the masses, and takes us through history, telling of past Tyrants who have used similar tactics to strengthen their power and silence dissenters. Clarity from Chaos guest: Ms. Stella Morabito, author of The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer.Expect the woke left to try to smear you as a “fascist” if you object to children being taught to hate themselves or others because of their race. A recent op-ed in The Guardian has warned us. It headlines the word “fascism” to describe Florida's 2022 legislation that puts the brakes on some of the most divisive and abusive ideologies being forced into American schools and boardrooms. One of those curricula is Critical Race Theory, a particularly destructive product of identity politics. It aims to instill resentment and guilt in Americans by relentlessly preaching that America, and specifically “white” Americans, are irredeemably racist. It's akin to coercive thought reform. But those who speak out against such psychologically manipulative programs seem to have emboldened many more Americans to openly support legislation like Florida's. However, as the Guardian op-ed illustrates, proponents of agendas like CRT are reacting to this refreshing outspokenness with ever more demonization. Their smear tactics vilify those who don't support such lesson plans for impressionable children or training for new employees. “Fascist” is just one of countless smear words that circulate in Big Media to cut off conversation. Others include “bigot,” “hater,” “white supremacist,” “domestic terrorist,” “Nazi,” “homophobic,” “transphobic,” “domestic terrorist,” “conspiracy theorist,” etc.CRT simply forbids us to see one another as unique persons each with differing perspectives, personalities, experiences, and sufferings. For example, Kendi has written that color-blindness is “a mask to hide racism.” I imagine this is exactly why Martin Luther King's most iconic quote is nowhere to be found among the 15 quotations engraved on the memorial that was dedicated to him in Washington DC in 2011. To judge people “by the content of their character” rather than the color of their skin is anathema to CRT propaganda.Stella Morabito is the author of The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer. CLARITY FROM CHAOS is pleased to welcome Ms. Stella Morabito, author of The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and ConquerDo you keep your opinions to yourself because you're afraid people will reject you? Do you sign on to a cause just because everyone around you acts like it's the right thing to do? Are you part of the "Silent Majority."Welcome to The Weaponization of Loneliness. Tyrants of all stripes want to tell you what to believe and how to live your life. They get away with it by using the most potent weapon at their disposal: your fear of ostracism. This book explains how dictators—from the French Revolution to the Communist Party of China to today's globalists—aim to atomize us in order to control us. We fall for it because our need to connect with others and our fear of social rejection are so hardwired that they trigger our conformity impulse. These dynamics can even cause us to comply with evil orders. We all need a better understanding of how the merchants of loneliness—power elites in Big Tech, Big Media, Big Government, academia, Hollywood, and the corporate world— exploit our terror of social isolation. Their divide-and-conquer tactics include identity politics, political correctness, and mob agitation. Their media monopoly spawns the propaganda essential to demonization campaigns, censorship, cancel culture, snitch culture, struggle sessions, the criminalization of comedy, and the subversion of society's most fundamental institutions. It all adds up to a machinery of loneliness. Ironically, people tend to comply with this machinery to avoid loneliness, but such compliance only isolates us further. The Weaponization of Loneliness offers a message of hope. We can resist this psychological warfare if we have strong bonds in our families, faith communities, and friendships. Let's resolve to talk to one another openly and often, especially about the consequences of giving in to social pressures and media hype. Indeed, totalitarians always seek to destroy private life because it is the very fount of freedom.FIND HER WEBSITE HERE:FIND HER TWITTER HERE:FIND HER LINKED IN HERE:Support the show"Wherever you find yourself is exactly and precisely where God wills you to be" Follow us on X: @CFC30290 Follow us on Rumble: https://rumble.com/c/c-3123766 Website: https://clarityfromchaospodcast.buzzsprout.com/ Thanks for listening to Clarity from Chaos

In America, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the omnipresent voice of the COVID-19 pandemic, is one example of this, she says. “I believe that he symbolizes for our era the weaponization of loneliness,” Morabito, a senior contributor at The Federalist, says of Fauci. “When you think about what all these COVID mandates did to our society: the lockdowns, the devastation in human relationships, the way that it created hostilities, even among family members." “When COVID hit, our loneliness, our isolation [grew], especially for people [who] lived alone, being put under house arrest ... for at least months, and some people afraid to come out," she says. "I mean, this was the enforcement of our isolation—literal, blatant enforcement. And I think Fauci symbolizes all of that. More than symbolizes it, I mean, he directed so much of it.”In her new book “The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer,” Morabito, who has a master's degree in Russian and Soviet history, explains how the powerful use the fear of loneliness as a tool to gain and maintain authority. Morabito joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss how her previous work at the CIA, which focused on studying propaganda, led her to write the book, and how Americans can reject tyranny. GUEST OVERVIEW: Stella Morabito is the author of “The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide, and Conquer” talks about the social fallout of propaganda, mob psychology, and the cult mindset.
Are you lonely? More people than ever are lonely these days - we've been scared to death by reports about Covid19 and made to lock ourselves up during lock-downs. And, have you noticed, it's taking longer than you might have expected to come out of your cocoon and feel comfortable socializing again. There's an even greater danger lurking than loneliness itself, as today's guest will explain. Stella Morabito is the author of The Weaponization of Loneliness: How Tyrants Stoke Our Fear of Isolation to Silence, Divide and Conquer. Ms. Morabito, who served as an analyst at the CIA, explains how the merchants of loneliness—power elites in Big Tech, Big Media, Big Government, academia, Hollywood, and the corporate world— exploit our terror of social isolation. Do you keep your opinions to yourself because you're afraid people will reject you? Do you sign on to a cause just because everyone around you acts like it's the right thing to do? This is an example of The Weaponization of Loneliness at work. Tyrants of all stripes want to tell you what to believe and how to live your life. They get away with it by using the most potent weapon at their disposal: your fear of ostracism. Ms. Morabito explains how dictators—from the French Revolution to the Communist Party of China to today's globalists—aim to atomize us in order to control us. We fall for it because our need to connect with others and our fear of social rejection are so hardwired that they trigger our conformity impulse. These dynamics can even cause us to comply with evil orders. But, there is hope... as you will hear.

It's a must-read that every person, religious and non-religious, should buy and peruse every night before bed. It'll make you think harder, pray more ardently, and understand your civilization better." — Ben Shapiro, host of "The Ben Shapiro Show" "Dennis Prager's commentary on Exodus will rank among the greatest modern Torah commentaries. That is how important I think it is. And I am clearly not alone... It might well be on its way to becoming the most widely read Torah commentary of our time—and by non-Jews as well as by Jews." — Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, bestselling author of Jewish Literacy Why do so many people think the Bible, the most influential book in world history, is outdated? Why do our friends and neighbors – and sometimes we ourselves – dismiss the Bible as irrelevant, irrational, immoral, or all of these things? This explanation of the Book of Exodus, the second book of the Bible, will demonstrate that the Bible is not only powerfully relevant to today's issues, but completely consistent with rational thought. Do you think the Bible permitted the trans-Atlantic slave trade? You won't after reading this book. Do you struggle to love your parents? If you do, you need this book. Do you doubt the existence of God because belief in God is “irrational?” This book will give you reason after reason to rethink your doubts. The title of this commentary is, “The Rational Bible” because its approach is entirely reason-based. The reader is never asked to accept anything on faith alone. As Prager says, “If something I write does not make rational sense, I have not done my job.” The Rational Bible is the fruit of Dennis Prager's forty years of teaching the Bible to people of every faith, and no faith. On virtually every page, you will discover how the text relates to the contemporary world and to your life. His goal: to change your mind – and then change your life. Highly Recommended by ACU. Purchase his book at- https://www.amazon.com/Rational-Bible-Exodus-Dennis-Prager/dp/1621577724 The Rational Bible: Genesis by Dennis Prager USA Today bestseller Publishers Weekly bestseller Wall Street Journal bestseller Many people today think the Bible, the most influential book in world history, is not only outdated but irrelevant, irrational, and even immoral. This explanation of the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible, demonstrates clearly and powerfully that the opposite is true. The Bible remains profoundly relevant—both to the great issues of our day and to each individual life. It is the greatest moral guide and source of wisdom ever written. Do you doubt the existence of God because you think believing in God is irrational? This book will give you many reasons to rethink your doubts. Do you think faith and science are in conflict? You won't after reading this commentary on Genesis. Do you come from a dysfunctional family? It may comfort you to know that every family discussed in Genesis was highly dysfunctional! The title of this commentary is “The Rational Bible” because its approach is entirely reason-based. The reader is never asked to accept anything on faith alone. In Dennis Prager's words, “If something I write is not rational, I have not done my job.” The Rational Bible is the fruit of Dennis Prager's forty years of teaching the Bible—whose Hebrew grammar and vocabulary he has mastered—to people of every faith and no faith at all. On virtually every page, you will discover how the text relates to the contemporary world in general and to you personally. His goal: to change your mind—and, as a result, to change your life. The Rational Bible: Deuteronomy: God, Blessings, and Curses by Dennis Prager Is the Bible, the most influential book in world history, still relevant? Why do people dismiss it as being irrelevant, irrational, immoral, or all of these things? This explanation of the Book of Deuteronomy, the fifth book of the Bible, will demonstrate how it remains profoundly relevant - both to the great issues of our day and to each individual life. Do you doubt the existence of God because you think believing in God is irrational? This book will cause you to reexamine your doubts. The title of this commentary is The Rational Bible because its approach is entirely reason-based. The listener is never asked to accept anything on faith alone. In Dennis Prager's words, “If something I write is not rational, I have not done my job.” The Rational Bible is the fruit of Prager's forty years of teaching to people of every faith and no faith at all.
