In this week's episode of The Rugby Paper Roundup… Assistant Editor Ben Jaycock is joined by rugby content creator and social media personality Ruck Star Lizzie to react to a dramatic final round of the Women's Six Nations — and look ahead to what feels like a huge new era for the women's game. England edged another epic battle with France in Bordeaux to secure an eighth straight Six Nations title and Grand Slam, while Ireland smashed attendance records at the Aviva Stadium in front of more than 31,000 fans against Scotland. We break down why England v France continues to produce the biggest matches in women's rugby, whether the Red Roses are building one of sport's greatest dynasties, and just how special Ellie Kildunne's tournament really was after a campaign packed with outrageous attacking numbers. We also discuss: • Marlie Packer finishing as top try scorer from the back row • Zoe Harrison leading the tournament points charts • Why Ireland's Aviva Stadium crowd felt like a landmark moment

But far from falling away from the public eye, Dame Laura has used her platform to talk about subjects that are considered taboo, like her ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. Talking openly is something that has helped Laura throughout her life and career and it could have been very very different. As a child Laura suffered with asthma, a chronic respiratory condition which resulted in her having a collapsed lung. For many it would have put them off from pushing themselves athletically, but for Laura that wasn't an option.Marlie Packer was a member of the squad of the recently crowned Rugby Union World Champions. The Red Roses enjoyed the ultimate success by beating Canada in a final watched by a record breaking crowd of more than 80,000 fans. Marlie was also part of the England set up that won the World Cup in 2014. Now 36, her career has coincided with the growth of the women's game from the early amateur days where Marlie juggled her international career alongside her job as a plumber.Millie Bright has just about won it all. She led the England women's football into the 2023 World Cup final, and the year before she was part of the team who won the European Championships. So her decision to withdraw from this years European championship was a shock to all. Domestically she has more than 300 appearances for Chelsea, during which time the west London side have won eight league titles, and nine FA and League cups and all through out there was Millie. So how has she done it?In 2007 English triathlete Chrissie Wellington surprised everyone by wining the prestigious World Ironman Championship in Hawaii. It turned out to be the first in a series of victories and world records... the remarkable thing is that Wellington only became a professional athlete in her late 20s after giving up a successful career in development. This week I have the great pleasure of talking to a role model from the world of Women's Rugby    Marlie Packer plays her club rugby for Saracens and is a regular in the England team. She has a long list of accolades to her name. From her position as flanker she helped England win the Rugby World Cup 2014, in 2017 was a losing finalist vs New Zealand, she is a 4 x Grand Slam winner, and also regular 7s player. Recently she was named by the Daily Telegraph as one of the best 10 women rugby players in the world.   Marlie provides a first-hand perspective of the growth of the women game - from her first experiences aged just 6, to making the England team in the pre professional era. And how now as a full time professional this has allowed her game to flourish but also means she can ‘play it forward' and through her exploits encourage more girls to take up the game.   A key theme is certainly around making sure you work hard at surrounding yourself with the right people. This has really helped Marlie when there are set-backs and adversity - be that sporting ones or life in general   So yes, we talk about radiators - not simply the ones in your house that she's qualified to fix but more the people you need around you to learn from, feel encouragement and support from during the highs and the lows of life in an elite team sport set up and in your life outside of sport. Not least her partner Tash and their little boy Oliver. You can follow Marlie on Instagram @marlie_packer Thanks again to the Athlete Media Group for setting this up.
