I don't get Bath Rugby Club. In this video I will use highlights and analytics to explain why they shouldn't be as good as they are and what really makes them such a competitive rugby team (spoiler: Finn Russell helps). I'm going to investigate this bizarre contradiction of numbers verses reality. I'll be asking if Johann van Graan doing something to break rugby statistics as we know them, or are Bath simply overrated? Then, at the end of the video, I'll be saying something that English rugby fans are going to absolutely hate… Keywords: Bath Rugby season review, Bath Rugby highlights 2025, History of Bath Rugby, Best tries Bath Rugby, Bath Rugby interview, How good is Bath Rugby, Bath Rugby vs top teams, Finn Russell Bath Rugby, Bath Rugby academy / youth, Bath Rugby training #bath #rugby #prem #england #analysis #highlights #southafrica #dyson #explained Follow me on twitter: https://x.com/HuwGriffinRugby follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61580910041103&sk=reels_tab Learn more about your ad choices. The pod has been given exclusive access to the four directors of rugby ahead of this weekend's play-offs. Chris heads to the Prem awards in central London to sit down with Phil Dowson, Johann van Graan, Rob Baxter and Geoff Parling to reflect on the Prem season so far and the quality of rugby. Has there been too many blowouts? And have the recent law changes made it a better or worse spectacle? We also look at the gruelling schedule for the game's top international players. Should Maro Itoje and his fellow Lions be rested this summer? What do the DORs think to the Champions Cup and how that is scheduled? We hear about the changes to the pool stages next season and what the four coaches would change about the competition. We also delve into the relationship between the clubs and England and whether the players should be spending more time with club than country.

In this special deep dive into his Essential Habits, Johann reveals the unique system he uses to stay grounded, lead with clarity, and achieve world-class results, from the Springboks and Munster to transforming Bath Rugby. This episode is a masterclass in purpose-driven leadership, where Johann shares:The Notebook Habit: Why he carries a notebook everywhere and must 'Think in Ink' writing his thoughts down hourly for reflection, clarity, and decision-making.Stillness in the Storm: His foundational habit of beginning every morning with a moment of stillness to manage stress and stay calm in chaos.Unshakeable Trust: How he surrounds himself with a small circle of six mentors who are mandated to "always tell me the truth" even when he doesn't want to hear it.The Blueprint for Unmissable: The simple principle that "Rugby is what we do, it's not who we are," and his relentless drive to "become unmissable" by doing the things others aren't prepared to do.Before every game, Johann takes time to replay his week, not tactics or strategy, but interactions. He asks himself: Did I listen enough? Did I lift someone today? Did I stay true to my values?
