The Christian nationalist movement is growing in America, particularly in Moscow Idaho, where the Christ Church is buying up prime real estate and opening businesses in hopes of making the area a church town.
Here's episode 83 of Michigan's premier progressive podcast! Salon columnist Amanda Marcotte spends a few minutes talking with Pat about the Christian Nationalist Movement, and its ultimate goal of not just getting Dear Leader Trump back into power, but of ending religious freedom for all. Ms. Marcotte's written extensively on how Christian Nationalists are trying to defund public schools, public libraries, attacking the nation's democratic institutions, attacking abortion rights and women's health care, and also how this movement really is trying to end religious liberty in this country. And they'll do it through violence if need be. Ms. Marcotte also has a newsletter called, "Standing Room Only." So, please, subscribe to her newsletter! And thank you to Amanda for being on this week! The opening segment discusses how Dear Leader is once again visiting Michigan next week, but it doesn't appear he'll show his supposed support for union workers by speaking at a non-union business this time! No, he's a bit lazy this time as he'll speak at a Saginaw airplane hanger. But regardless of what he does, his White Christian Nationalists will back him because they see him as their best chance to enact their hateful agenda. The "Last Call" shows once again how Michigan Republicans just can't let go of their anger and disdain for union workers. They're calling for a restoration of Right To Work For Less after Democrats repealed that destructive law last year. Combine that with the UAW victories against the Big Three Detroit automakers last Fall, and the stunning UAW win at a Volkswagen plant in Tennessee, workers are beginning to make some significant strides against management. The pendulum is turning in the favor of workers , and Republicans will do whatever it takes to thwart that progress. Welcome to the Texas News Podcast, sponsored by the Texas National Movement. This week, we introduce our exciting campaign to get TEXIT on the ballot. We begin by breaking down all things TEXIT petition and how Texas could finally be on the path to becoming a self-governing nation. Then, we explain how this petition has the power to change the entire landscape of Texas politics forever. It doesn't get any bigger than this. With a new, valid method of signature collection, we plan to make sure that the people of Texas are heard, both Democrats and Republicans alike. We want to restore and protect our constitutional Republic and the rights of the Texans through a statewide vote on Texas independence. The political establishment underestimates how much people want TEXIT and current momentum on the issue can no longer be ignored. Sign our petition here, and let your voice be heard.
Celebrating the centennial of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, signed on July 24, 1923, this article highlights its significance in laying the groundwork for the Republic of Turkey. The Treaty, a turning point in Turkish history, showcased the power of the Nationalist Movement led by Mustafa Kemal to establish an independent and sovereign Turkish state from a fragmented empire. The concepts of sovereignty and independence, foundational principles of the Republic, emerged from this struggle, emphasizing their importance in the Turkish War of Independence. In contrast to other treaties ending World War I, the Lausanne Peace Treaty remains valid and durable, regarded as the "birth certificate" of the Republic of Turkey. Despite criticism from some groups, Turkish people overwhelmingly support the Treaty. Recent questioning of the Treaty's aspects by academic platforms outside of Turkey serves as an opportunity to bring this historical document to the world's attention. The centennial celebrations will underscore the importance of independence and sovereignty in Turkey's history, and any attempts to amend the Treaty are likely to be met with strong opposition from Turkish public opinion. Why Texas Needs to Secede - Daniel Miller of the Texas Nationalist Movement talks TEXIT. Betsy and Daniel have an in-depth, candid discussion of the merits of Texas leaving the union, covering the legality of secession, how the referendum will work its way through the Texas Legislature (where it is NOW) how the new Republic of Texas gets set up, and for all intents and purposes how there is really no other option, if liberty and self-governance are important to Texans. The Texas Nationalist Movement - support, join or donate here:www.TNM.mePurchase a copy of TEXIT by Daniel Miller at www.TNM.meJoin Daniel for his Late Night Coffee Talks on Wednesdays:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGXv5r1mpe8&t=377sTexas Legislators who are on the State Affairs committee deciding whether to hear the Texas Independence Referendum and to pass it on to the house floor - This would allow Texans to exercise their right to vote on becoming an independent nation again.CALL THEM and ask them to give HB 3596 a hearing.Chairman - Rep. We are living in perilous times. Racism, homophobia, anti-immigrant violence and misogyny have been unleashed, normalized and embraced by elected leaders and regular citizens, from school boards to state legislatures and Capitol Hill. Organized hate groups are expanding their ranks by targeting an aggrieved citizenry and most recently children. Middle and high school students, who have been isolated and tethered to their devices throughout an ongoing pandemic are particularly susceptible to these manipulations. The Western States Center, acclaimed for its systems-based approach to building a 21-century civil rights movement, is standing up for these young people. It created a toolkit, Confronting White Nationalism to guide impacted schools in how to intervene when students are on the receiving end of abuse or are being recruited into the fold. Adrienne van der Valk, leads the training and is growing its footprint across the nation. She talks to Power Station about engaging students without shaming them, the pervasive role of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, the heroism of teachers who navigate these conditions without support and the obligation we all share to confronting hate.
In this episode of the Caudillocast, Pedro and José make the case for a new elite class to challenge the current ruling class and usher in a new age of America First nationalism.

Quebec has had a unique place in Canada: it is the location of the first successful European settlements, it is the largest province by area, and it is the only province whose official language is French. The Québecois have developed their own identity since the days the province was a French colony. Following transfer of sovereignty to the British, dissent amongst the population rose, culminating in the ill fated Lower Canada rebellion. When the 20th Century rolled around, the national identity of the Québecois began to demand recognition, and soon calls for sovereignty became deafening. This resulted in two referendums, various controversial legislation proposals, and an armed resistance, resulting in the kidnapping of two government officials. Music: Gens de Pays

Questions and discourses around intervention in African nations are quite frankly opaque and attempt to sell contradictory and conflicting reasoning. For instance, the very notions of foreign—intervention—and its relationship between the logic of racial capitalism and its attendant operational institutions and systems, such as—colonialism/neocolonialism, imperialism, unequal trade, forced and coerced migration, issues of citizenship, imposition of colonial borders, who has the right to have rights, human dignity, scramble and (re)scramble for control of material and nonmaterial resources, and international development…are marginalized, hidden, or often ignored. To be clear, the notion of intervention itself—its philosophical and epistemic groundings in Western logics is inherently problematic. One need not move far on the world historical map to see the material implications of Western (or outside) intervention and its deleterious impact across the African world. For many critically thinking folk, the differentiation between intervention and invasion are slim or non-existent. And if we are to understand the roots of contemporary intervention—we must surely deal with the earlier histories and philosophies of raw, unbridled invasions to extract natural resources and to control human physical and intellectual productive forces, and its evolution into post-modern versions of a liberal, gentler imperialism. Nevertheless, the current reality is that Africa consistently face multiple levels of intervention, all normally rooted in a weak and narrow idea of humanitarianism, or a racial capitalist-driven development, not to mention, the justification of intervention under false notions of governance rooted in a Western historiography, of which these same governments do not practice in totality themselves. Today, we deal with the current reality of Foreign Intervention in Africa, specifically After the Cold War and its relationship between Sovereignty, Responsibility, and the War on Terror with Dr. Elizabeth Schmidt. Dr. Elizabeth Schmidt is currently a professor emeritus of history at Loyola University Maryland. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin and has written extensively about US involvement in apartheid South Africa; women under colonialism in Zimbabwe; the nationalist movement in Guinea; as well as foreign intervention in Africa before and from the Cold War to the war on terror. Some of her works include: •Foreign Intervention in Africa after the Cold War: Sovereignty, Responsibility, and the War on Terror; •Mobilizing the Masses: Gender, Ethnicity, and Class in the Nationalist Movement in Guinea, 1939-1958; •Peasants, Traders, and Wives: Shona Women in the History of Zimbabwe, 1870-1939; •Foreign Intervention in Africa From the Cold War to the War on Terror; and •Decoding Corporate Camouflage: U.S. Business Support for Apartheid to name a few. Today's program, as always, is produced in solidarity with the Native/Indigenous, African, and Afro Descendant communities at Standing Rock, Venezuela, the Avalon Village in Detroit; Brazil, Colombia, Kenya, Cooperation Jackson in Jackson Mississippi; Palestine, South Africa, and Ghana and other places who are fighting for the protection of our land for the benefit of all peoples!

The EU elections shows once again that the populist nationalist movement has not slowed down. Nigel Farage joins Laura to discuss this historic election that defied the elites’ expectations. Plus, former Greenpeace founder Dr. Patrick Moore stops by to expose the falsehoods underpinning the climate extremist movement.
Derek Black was one the US White Nationalist movement's rising stars. But in his early 20s Derek changed his mind and now actively campaigns against those who hold these views. We unpack what caused him to abandon his beliefs and what could be done to encourage others to follow in his footsteps.
Jenn Foster and Melanie Johnson speak with Daniel Miller about the Texas Nationalist Movement. Since our inception the Texas Nationalist Movement has connected with hundreds of thousands of Texans, conducted thousands of media interviews, participated in international conferences on self-determination, and grown the movement for Texas independence into one of the largest in the world. In fulfilling our mission, we have given a home to all Texans who believe that Texas would be better off as an independent nation.

Many of us hoped the white nationalist movement that instigated last year's "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, would suffer a fatal blow. The majority of Americans condemned both the blatant bigotry displayed by the protesters and the president's failure to single out the nationalists as the perpetrators of the "hatred, bigotry and violence." He instead, said he saw that violence "on many sides."That's not what happened.Support the show: http://www.wnpr.org/donateSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Our modern conception of childhood as a time of education and innocence began to emerge in the eighteenth century, but it wasn’t until the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries that such ideas influenced the lives of children of all classes in the western world. How and why did this happen? Marnie Hay is a historian and the author of Bulmer Hobson and the Nationalist Movement in Twentieth-Century Ireland (2009). Her current research relates to the history of Irish nationalist children and youth in the early twentieth century
In this episode, the guys engage in a discussion with actor Travis Wester, who criticized the show's coverage of the Berkeley College Republicans' lawsuit back in the "C" segment of Episode #65. Travis comes on the show to criticize Berkeley's policy regarding the imposition of fees, while Andrew walks us through the various laws regarding the First Amendment's applicability to "time, place, and manner" restrictions in college classrooms. This episode went long, so we skipped our other segments, but obviously no Tuesday episode would be complete without the answer to Thomas Takes The Bar Exam Question #25 about smokin' weed and crashin' cars. Recent Appearances: None! Have us on your show! Show Notes & Links Here are the resources discussed in this episode: This is the link to the BCR/YAF (Ann Coulter) Complaint. Rosenberger v. Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia, 515 U.S. 819 (1995) is the Supreme Court case decisively holding that campus groups allocating space in classrooms are a limited public forum. Ward v. Rock Against Racism, 491 U.S. 781 (1989), is the landmark Supreme Court case on time, place, and manner restrictions. Rock for Life-UMBC v. Hrabowski, 643 F.Supp.2d 729 (D. Md. 2009) is the D.Md. case that is directly on point with a university that has the exact same policies as Berkeley. The authorizing regulation is 5 CCR § 100004. The 5th Circuit case to which Travis kept referring is Sonnier v. Crain, 613 F.3d 436 (5th Cir. 2010), the opinion of which was subsequently withdrawn in part by Sonnier v. Crain, 634 F.3d 778 (5th Cir. 2011). Finally, the Supreme Court case cited by Travis within the Sonnier opinion is Forsyth County v. Nationalist Movement, 505 U.S. 123 (1992), in which the Supreme Court held that content-based restrictions, including excessive security fees, violate the 1st Amendment.
