Dr. Frank counsels that feelings of dread, fear, and anxiety are totally normal responses to such a threat – but the question then becomes what to do with those feelings. Dr. Frank also explains the psychological dynamics at work in why so many Americans were in denial, immature, and refused to believe the many warnings, over almost a decade, that Trump's return to power would be a disaster for the country and the world. Dr. Lance Dodes is a former clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a training and supervising analyst emeritus at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. Dr. Dodes explains why and how so many Americans and others in this time of crisis are increasing their unhealthy use of alcohol, drugs, and engaging in other addictive behavior as a coping mechanism. He also explains the important differences between compulsion and bad habits and their importance for treating alcoholism and other diseases. Dr. Frank and Dr. Dodes both share their advice for enduring, navigating, and how Americans of conscience and honor can try to stay healthy and relatively balanced and ready for the long struggle during this time of extreme stress, anxiety, fear, vulnerability, general duress and exhaustion. Aaron PerrinoTake a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know Aaron Perrino. Aaron is the singer / songwriter most known for being the front man of The Sheila Divine. He is also part of the bands Dear Leader, and Aaron and The Lord. In this episode, we chat about how he got into music, and how winning a Sharper Image gift card on the radio, led to his band being signed by a record label. We talk about the tough road of being a touring artist, and some of the pitfalls that he didn't see coming. Since Aaron is an amazing songwriter, I pick his brain a bit on that, and then we talk about The Sheila Divine's more well known songs. Aaron spills the behind-the-scenes beans on touring with Morrissey and discusses why The Sheila Divine is so popular in Belgium. He shares the experience of having one of their songs used in a Cadillac commercial. Then we talk about his other bands Dear Leader as well as Aaron and The Lord. Weekend, second string host FOX News dufus Pete Hegseth was tapped by Man-baby for Secretary of Defense. A former FOXbot fumed over Hegseth's potential ascension to the White House cabinet. The orange stain might have issues wrangling purple Repubs in the House, but don't hold your breath. Notre Dame, the Cathedral, was finally rebuilt.  A House Democrat introduced a resolution to limit Dear Leader to only two terms as POTUS. Michigan Republicans continue having a collective meltdown after their Dear Leader was found guilty of committing 34 felonies in New York. Republicans call the trial a "sham," and "un-American," as they keep degrading our judicial system. Pat shares the unhinged statements from many Michigan Republicans in both Congress and the state legislature after the verdict. This is part of a pattern by Michigan Republicans to destroy the institutions of our democratic republic.
