I talk about how I've overcome guilt for enjoying midday freedom—reminding myself and my fellow working moms that this flexibility is a strength we've created, not a luxury. I explain how I define what “done” looks like by setting clear goals and calendar blocking, which helps me avoid overwhelm and improve my productivity. I discuss the boundaries I set to honor my off-hours, boosting both my work and family life. I also share how I reduce decision fatigue with planned routines and themed family dinners, making daily life with a business smoother. Finally, I reveal how pre-planning and batching household tasks keeps me focused as a business owner and mom. What if the business you thought would give you freedom was actually stealing it? In this episode, Angie Shiels, former-café-owner-turned-wellness-entrepreneur, shares the real costs of traditional business, why scaling often means more stress, and how she pivoted into a model that works with her life instead of against it. If you're a mom, a woman past 40, or a business owner ready for a second chapter, this conversation will expand your vision of what's possible. Instead, it left her burnt out and asking, “Is this really it?” In the lead-up to turning 50, she sold the café and realised it was time to reclaim her health, create financial independence, and design life on her own terms. A chance meeting over coffee introduced her to the world of affiliate marketing - and she's never looked back. She has spent the past six months living in Bali and, thanks to her online business, continues to mentor small business owners, entrepreneurs, and women in corporate careers who feel stuck and exhausted. Angie helps them move beyond burnout into leveraged income, legacy wealth, and a lifestyle of health, freedom, and purpose. Beyond business, Angie is a wife, a proud mum to three adult children, and this year stepped into her favourite role yet - becoming “La La” to her first grandchild. In this episode, I share the empowering concept of “test and find out”—a practical approach I use to overcome analysis paralysis and move beyond indecision. I'll walk you through how setting time-bound parameters allows you to make confident choices, let go of perfectionism, and reduce the pressure of getting it “right.”You'll hear real stories from my own life and my work with clients, as I show how experimenting with routines, habits, and even big decisions has brought more clarity and confidence. I encourage you to give yourself permission to try new things, knowing that nothing is permanent—and that it's okay to observe what works and what doesn't without judgment.Ready to break free from indecision? Pick something you've been overthinking, test it out for a set period, and see what happens! I'd love to hear about your experience—DM me on Instagram. The recognition week comes amid a year of highly restrictive enforcement and efforts to limit both illegal and legal immigration by the Trump administration. The heart of Latino Business Week is at Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis. One business owner, Wilin Castro, runs a restaurant there called Andy's Garage. He joined MPR News host Nina Moini along with Minneapolis City Council Member Jason Chavez.

In this episode, I'm sharing my favorite productivity tip: the 30-minute catch all block. As a mom and business owner, I know how overwhelming it can be to juggle constant inputs and endless micro-tasks. That's why I schedule one or two dedicated 30-minute blocks each day—midday and/or at the end of the day—to batch tasks like replying to emails, returning messages, and handling admin work. This simple shift has helped me reduce task switching, clear mental clutter, and protect my focus time for deep work. I use my digital calendar to make these blocks non-negotiable, so I can stay in control and be less reactive throughout the day. If you're looking for more clarity, calm, and productivity, try adding a catch all block to your routine.
