A native of New Jersey, Dr. Bonni Goldstein received her undergraduate education at Rutgers College. She pursued her medical degree at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Her post-doctoral education included internship and residency at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Goldstein also served as Chief Resident at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. She was a Clinical Instructor in Pediatrics at USC School of Medicine in Los Angeles, Emergency Transport Attending Physician at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and Emergency Medicine Attending Physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. In 2008, Dr. Goldstein developed an interest in the science of medical cannabis after witnessing its beneficial effects in an ill friend. Since then she has been evaluating both adult and pediatric patients for use of medical cannabis. She graduated from the College of St. Teresa In Winona, MN in 1975 and began her nursing career in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps. Earning her MS degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1985 she decided to write her thesis on Marijuana Disclosure to Health Care Professionals. Mary Lynn converted from being a medical–surgical nurse to a certified addictions registered nurse (CARN). She is the editor of Cannabis in Medical Practice: A Legal, Historical and Pharmacological Overview of the Therapeutic Use of Marijuana (1997) and co-editor of Women and Cannabis: Medicine, Science and Sociology (2002). Mary Lynn has authored numerous papers and chapters on medical cannabis as well as several organizational resolutions supporting medical cannabis. She is also a co-host on two weekly radio programs on medical cannabis.

Dawn-Marie Steenstra has always been a passionate patient advocate. She owned and operated her own assisted living in her home since the age of 20, caring for primarily deinstitutionalized psychiatric elderly women. In 1996, Dawn-Marie completed college as a practical nurse, and since 1998, has specialized in staff development, quality assurance, and infection control. Dawn-Marie learned about cannabis as a wellness option 10 months post breast cancer and thereafter jumped headlong into the industry. She has since worked with The American Cannabis Nurses Association, Patients Out of Time, Americans For Safe Access, United Patients Group, and most recently, was privileged to co-produce Season 2 of “The Sacred Plant” showcasing the alongside John Malanca in her role as National Ambassador for United Patients Group. Her goals in cannabis reform concentrate primarily on education and excellence in the practice of cannabinoid therapeutics, nursing, and business.
