Von der Musik über die Philosophie bis hin zur Kunst – die Berliner Künstlerin Jorinde Voigt kommt 1977 in Frankfurt am Main zur Welt und wächst mit drei Geschwistern in einem Fachwerkhaus im Hessischen Eberstadt auf. Jedes Kind muss zwei Instrumente lernen und täglich vier Stunden üben. Das ist Pflicht. Jorinde lernt Cello und Klavier und wenn ihr alles zuviel wird, schließt sich das kreative Mädchen in ihrem Zimmer ein, hört Musik und beginnt erste Schnitte und Kleidungsstücke zu entwerfen. Im Elternhaus hängen viele Bilder ihrer Mutter, die auch selber malt – aber Kunst und Kinder strikt voneinander trennt. Das Atelier bleibt verschlossen. Nach der Schule in Darmstadt studiert Jorinde zunächst Philosophie und Neue Deutsche Literatur an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, wechselt jedoch später in die Bildende Kunst als Meisterschülerin von Katharina Sieverding an der Universität der Künste in Berlin. Inzwischen ist Jorinde Voigt als internationale Künstlerin weltweit mit Ausstellungen in großen Museen, Galerien und bei Biennalen vertreten, wird u.a. von der Galerie Judin in Berlin und der David Nolan Galerie in New York repräsentiert. Sie lehrt als Professorin an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg. In ihrem Atelier in Oberschöneweide kreiert sie Werke, bei denen sie Wirklichkeit und Wahrnehmung untersucht und sie als Notizen ihrer Gedanken bezeichnet. Der BSW-Bundesvorstand will, dass die Fraktion im Freistaat CDU-Regierungschef Mario Voigt nicht mehr unterstützt. Im Interview erklärt Landesgeschäftsführerin Steffi Eschrich, wie die Partei mit dem Konflikt umgeht.

Der Bundesvorstand des BSW fordert von der Fraktion im Freistaat, die Koalition unter Ministerpräsident Mario Voigt (CDU) platzen zu lassen. Doch die Thüringer wollen daran festhalten. Reporter Jan Bräuer berichtet.

I grew up going to church. I knew what Christians were supposed to ‘look' like. And I'd seen pictures of Jesus on the wall in Sunday School, so I had an idea of what people thought He looked like too. But it wasn't until I was a teenager that I met someone who really looked like Jesus. And I was startled, to say the least. Short in stature… really short – maybe 4'9” on a good day, with a softly rounded, pudgy figure, ruddy complexion, and a nose that was reddish and a little too big. Bright blue eyes sparkled beneath shortly cropped, but smartly styled white hair, her face wrinkled deeply from a lifetime of joy and laughter. When she spoke, her voice carried both delight and wonder and her embrace was quick, warm, and full. She wore love, grace and kindness like a favorite sweater she never took off. Her name was Kay. And the moment I met her, for the first time in my life, I knew what Jesus looked like. And that I wanted to look like Him too. What does it mean to bear the image of God? Have you ever noticed how some people have a different voice or way of speaking when they're talking to a baby or perhaps a pet? That's an example of  situational behavior - changing something, in this case the manner of speaking - based on the situation. But situational behavior isn't always innocent or harmless. We're in week 6 of a sermon series we've titled, Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin. This week, we're looking at what we're calling situational sins... those choices we make based on external circumstances - which set of friends we're with, whether or not the kids are around, or if anybody will even know we did it. The problem is, basing our behavioral choices on an external standard completely misses the point.
