Paul is not a paid spokesman here, trying to sell a product, he is not trying to convince you to come get your gospel shot, because hey, who doesn't like burgers-- He is a living testimony to the transforming power of the gospel of God. He is not peddling some religious mumbo-jumbo, trying to line his silk pockets with the donations of the hearers. He himself has tasted and seen that the Lord is good, that the man who trusts in Him is blessed. He himself has seen that to live is Christ and to die is gain. He himself has been brought face to face with the risen Christ and come to be controlled by His love. This gospel he proclaims has transformed him- He declares this transformation in these words-. -Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,- Romans 1-1.
The gospel is the good news of what God has done to reconcile sinners to himself through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ.

Therefore we study Torah, the prophets and the words of the Messiah. This program is a study done live that we invite you to join in on. The host and guests of this program have done extensive search through the scriptures in order to rightly divide truth from "leaven" and we are not teachers, but rather will share what we have found and how we have found it in our process of searching with all our hearts. Among these is the discovery of the very reason for the dichotomy between Messiah's gospel and Paul's gospel and the choice between the two. ****************************** Messiah's: John 14:15-21 King James Version 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. *********************************************************** Paul's: Romans 10:13 King James Version 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ********************************************************** Messiah's: Matt 7 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Paul was preaching that Gentiles could be saved apart from Judaism by mere faith in the Jewish Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. So his opponents charged that he had thrown out the requirements which had been historically laid upon Gentile proselytes to Judaism. So, Paul continues his defense of his apostleship and gospel by looking at who he was and how God chose him. Sermon Feb. 16 2020 at Huron Chapel EMC, Auburn ON.
Galatians 1:18-24, 2:1-5. Here are the key thoughts of this sermon. 1. Christian friendship is important, even though we are two different contrasting personalities, when we come together in Jesus name, we must forget the differences as we are one in Christ 2. Christian fellowship is important. That’s where we learn to trust each other and grow together in Christ ----more----3. In a church or any organizational setup, it is important to make sure your ideas and initiatives are in agreement with the leadership 4. There are false teachings around us that will take away the freedom we have in Christ and take us into slavery of legalism. Don't even listen and pay attention to those. (False teachings are more powerful than the devil because of its deceptive nature.)

Paul's commission came through a direct revelation of Jesus Christ, therefore neither he, nor the gospel he preached, required verification either by another human being, or any human agency. Nevertheless, Paul often had to defend his authenticity as an apostle as well as the authenticity of his gospel.
In the conclusion of this 3 part episode, we discuss the book of Galatians, the reason it was written, as well as why it is so important that we have it today. What would the Bible look like without Galatians? What would Christianity look like?
Paul discovers his teachings are being corrupted. Who is to blame? The conflict between Paul and the Jerusalem Believers continues in Episode 37 of GBTB.
We will begin to dig deeper into the topic of Episode 6: "Conflict of Doctrine in the Early Church" and discuss more in depth the repercussions of this conflict which is as old as the Church itself.
Acts 13:14-52 - Paul's Gospel in Galatia
Two years passed since Paul's trial before Felix, and Festus was now governor. After surviving another assassination attempt, Paul stood trial before Festus. Paul's ambition was to preach the Gospel to Caesar in Rome, so he appealed his case to Caesar. A few days later, King Agrippa and his sister Bernice visited Festus, and, after learning about Paul's Gospel of Jesus' death and resurrection, decided to hear Paul as well. Paul gave a detailed account of his conversion and preached the Gospel to these three powerful officials. King Agrippa seemed to be almost persuaded, but sadly, ultimately resumed to the regular business of life, unmoved by the message of salvation.
Paul's Gospel is a proclamation of freedom. His letter to the churches in the region of Galatia provides us with the most concentrated example of Christ's liberation. He ends his letter, the sixth chapter, with how to maintain radical freedom in the Christian Community.

The book of Acts is the only account we have of how Christianity spread and multiplied during the thirty years following the death and resurrection of Jesus. In the words of Michael Green – “The book contains a tapestry of themes: the church, the ministry, the apostolic preaching, the Spirit, the charismats, church planting, Christian lifestyle, sacrifice, prayer, social concern, and many more. The Acts has much to say to our half-hearted and cold-blooded Christianity in the Western World.”

In this week's teaching, Josh explores Paul's dense theological language in Galatians 2:15-21 in an attempt to get at the heart of his gospel message. Here's a spoiler: it's not about circumcision, it's about trusting in Jesus. the restoration project. Joshua James. 24 September 2017 Small Group Study Questions (1) NT Wright summarizes this passage: “Paul's head-on clash with Peter in Antioch was about Christian identity. His passionate appeal to the Galatians is about their Christian identity.” How do you define the "Christian identity"? Do you struggle to place yourself within this "identity"? (2) In the past, scholars (and many pastors) have viewed the contrast that Paul highlights between "works of the law" and "faith in Christ" as a contrast between Jewish legalism and our faith in Christ. Some propose that a better reading of Paul's teaching is to identify the works of the law as circumcision (and observing Jewish food laws and Sabbath rules) and faith as a description not of our faith IN Christ, but the faithfulness OF Christ. If that's right, how is this reading different in terms of application? (*Note: this is a tough one!) (3) In Galatians 2:20, Paul writes, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me." Richard Hays describes the theological importance of this line of thought: “Paul is describing the experience of having his former life-world terminated and entering a new sphere of reality where he is no longer in charge. This is not merely a matter of having his sins forgiven; instead, it is a matter of being transformed for service.” Describe this transformation. What sort of service are we being transformed to accomplish? (4) Paul concludes, "The life I now live in the flesh, I live within the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Discuss the love of Jesus and its impact on you as a person. (I'm not looking for a theological answer, but an experiential answer.)
In week two of our sermon series on Galatians, Paul is continuing to build a case that the gospel he preached to the Galatian church was not dependent on human tradition, or the Jerusalem church (the authoritative body of the early church), or Peter or James or any other apostle ... rather, it was revealed to him by God. As a result, he wasn't diminishing or relaxing its standards in order to "please people." He was preaching the true (and inclusive) gospel to non-Jewish people: they don't have to be circumcised or "become Jewish" to get in; they just needed to follow Jesus. the restoration project. Joshua James. 3 September 2017
This message was preached at New Testament Christian Fellowship on April 9, 2017. With the declaration of the "Everlasting Gospel" in Revelation 14:6-7, explication is necessary concerning the four forms of the Gospel message found in the New Testament, the everlasting Gospel being one of those forms--NOT four gospels, but four forms of the Gospel in terms of emphasis, much like the four Gospels concerning the life of Christ. This message, part 3 in this Revelation 14:6-7 mini-series, focuses upon the third and fourth forms. The third form is what the Apostle Paul describes as "my gospel" in Romans 2:16, 16:25-26 . This is the same GOOD NEWS as the Gospel of God's grace with the additional revelation made known to Paul and revealed in his epistles concerning the mystery of the Church, the Body of Christ. The fourth form, the everlasting Gospel, is explained in the text at hand, Revelation 14:6-7. This is GOOD NEWS to Israel and the Tribulation Saints, declaring that their troubles are soon over and the Creator cometh quickly to judge. This is the same everlasting Gospel (i.e. worship God as Creator) that has been proclaimed from Eden down through the days of the Patriarchs, Moses, the Prophets, and by Jesus Christ Himself.
Paul, seeking to defend his mission and his gospel, outlines the validation he received when he was first starting out. He had the full approval of the leaders of the church in Jerusalem - and was confident in his proclamation.

In Acts 9:1-19 Jesus speaks to Saul (Paul) while is travelling to Damascus in order to perpetuate the followers of Jesus. The church's greatest enemy becomes the father of the word to the gentiles. In this letter to the Galatians Paul is defending the gospel of salvation through faith and not through the mosaic law and Jewish tradition. The gospel is the source of new life, a life transforming message. [bible passage="Galatians 1:11-24" heading="h3"]

In this section Paul continues the gospel message to these Jews by shifting to the Davidic Covenant, a promise which was very familiar to them. Review the Davidic Covenant which is an elaboration of the seed promise in the Abrahamic Covenant. Walk back through numerous Old Testament Messianic passages that address Israel’s future hope in turning to God, His restoration of the Land and promise to David of an eternal kingdom through his seed. See how directly Paul addresses these Jews on the basis of their well-known scripture and the unquestionable ways Paul presents to them, through recognition of the promise of the Davidic Covenant, that these things are fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
