CHAPTER VIII. Of Christ the MediatorVII. Christ, in the work of mediation, acts according to both natures; by each nature doing that which is proper to itself: yet, by reason of the unity of the person, that which is proper to one nature is sometimes in scripture attributed to the person denominated by the other nature.

CHAPTER VIII. Of Christ the MediatorVI. Although the work of redemption was not actually wrought by Christ till after his incarnation, yet the virtue, efficacy, and benefits thereof, were communicated unto the elect in all ages successively from the beginning of the world, in and by those promises, types, and sacrifices, wherein he was revealed and signified to be the Seed of the woman, which should bruise the serpent's head, and the Lamb slain from the beginning of the world, being yesterday and to-day the same, and forever.

(1 Corinthians 3:10-15) Soon we will see Jesus. There are two main events that believers in heaven will experience, after the rapture of the church, while the tribulation is taking place on earth. Each of us should be getting ready to meet God! (0971250321) ----more---- What Is Heaven? Do you ever think about what's going on in heaven? There's so many things we do know about heaven and there are many things frankly we don't know about heaven. Heaven During the Tribulation One of the things that is very intriguing to me is what's going to go on in heaven while the tribulation is going on earth. The Lord is going to spare His church from that great tribulation. He has special things in store for us, great things planned. When we began our study most recently about the tribulation, we saw, really from an earthly perspective, what's going on with the Antichrist, here on this planet, but let's look at the same period of time, from Heaven's perspective. Basically there are two big things going on that you have to look forward to and should be thinking about. When it comes to the Lord Jesus returning for us, we're called away. We meet Him in the clouds, and then what, during that seven year period, what's going on? The Judgment Seat of Christ The first thing that's gonna happen is you're going to stand before the Lord. It's commonly referred to in scripture as the judgment seat. Of Christ immediately after the rapture, we're going to be standing before the Lord, or should I say we're gonna be bowing before the Lord. As a matter of fact, in Revelation 4:1, the door opens in heaven and the voice says, "Come up hither." And in that very same chapter in (chapter four verse four and verse ten) the believers are seen casting their crowns at the feet of Jesus, kneeling before the throne. So we know that one of the first things that's going to happen, though we don't know all the details of it, is we're going to stand before the Lord at what is called the judgment seat of Christ. Paul's Teachings on the Judgment Seat It's very interesting to me that the Apostle Paul seemed to talk more about this to the church at Corinth, than any other church. Let me share what I'm talking about. First Corinthians chapter three, beginning in verse number ten, says this, "10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." He said, we're in a spiritual building program. Be careful how you build. And then he says this in verse 12, "12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire." He says that there's coming a day that is going to declare the truth about your life.I don't know about you, but that's thought-provoking to me. The day shall declare it. It's not about your salvation in this passage. You don't go into the fire, but your works do. You are spared the fire. Praise God. I'm not going to hell because I've trusted Christ as my personal Savior, but though my soul cannot be lost, I can lose rewards. On that day, anything that was not of eternal value was gonna be burned up. I wonder, when we stand before God someday, what will we have? I'm thinking now of the old hymn: must I go empty-handed? Must I meet my savior so? Not one soul, with which to greet Him? Must I empty-handed go?" I wonder if we'll have anything when we stand before the Lord on that day. He goes on in 1 Corinthians, listen to these words in chapter nine. He's speaking personally as far as a testimony and he says this in chapter 9 in verse number 25, "And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." He borrows from the Olympics of the day, the Greek games where the rewards were given, and the people would come before, before what was referred to as a bema seat, they were thrown like platforms where judges sat and there they were rewarded. He uses the same language, the same terminology for the judgment seat of Christ, the bema. Seat on that day. We're standing before the Lord for rewards. He continues to the church at Corinth and second Corinthians, his second letter to them, chapter five, listen to the words beginning in verse number nine. He says,"9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." Basically, the judgment seat of Christ is a time of reward and loss of reward. Only believers will be there first. Are you going to be there? If you're not sure you're saved, you need to settle that first. Get that matter settled because if you don't know the Lord Jesus as your Savior, there's an awful judgment awaiting you called the Great White Throne Judgment. We'll talk about that soon in our study of what the Bible says about the end of time. Settle the matter of your soul's salvation. And then if you know the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior, determined by the grace of God that you're gonna live every day in light of the day, you're going to stand before Jesus Christ. Because I wanna submit to you on the authority of the Word of God. That could be any moment, any day Christ could come. Any day, we could be caught away, and any day, we could stand face to face with Almighty God to give an account of our lives. And I want to ask you, what if that were today? What if you knew that in the next four minutes, you were going to stand before the Lord in the next four minutes? Not that this study would end, that your life would end that time, as it would end. And in the next four minutes, you were gonna stand face to face with the Lord. What would you do differently then? Do that now. Because any moment Jesus could come, and this is a second thing that takes place during that seven-year period here on Earth. I'll remind you that there's no time in heaven. So it's hard to say seven years in heaven because there's no time there. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb But during the period where the tribulation is expiring here on Earth, not only are we going, coming to the judgment seat of Christ to answer to the Lord, but then there's gonna be a great celebration it's referred to in scripture as the marriage supper of the lamb. Let me read to you from Revelation 19:6 says, "6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb." We know in Ephesians chapter five that the church is represented as the bride and Christ as the bridegroom. Let me tell you, there's a wedding coming, and not only are we going to be presented to our bridegroom, but then we're going to celebrate together prior to returning with him to this earth. There's a wonderful supper, a marriage, supper. You've never attended a supper like that. And we're going to be there. We are the bride, and Christ is the groom. In Western culture, the wedding day really is all about the bride, but in eastern culture it was about the groom. Might I say to you that the day we're looking forward to is the day that the groom comes for us. Here comes the Groom. Can you see Him ready in all of His glory to catch us away? Yes, we're going to answer to Him, but then we're gonna celebrate with Him, and we're going to be with Him for all eternity. Are You Ready to Go to Heaven? I hope you're getting ready to meet God, because I'm telling you, you're getting ready to meet God Soon we're gonna see Jesus Christ, face to face. What a time we're going to have. Whatever it is you need to do to get ready for that day, do it today. May the Lord help all of us to live in light of the soon return of Jesus Christ. CHAPTER VIII. Of Christ the MediatorV. The Lord Jesus, by his perfect obedience and sacrifice of himself, which he through the eternal Spirit once offered up unto God, hath fully satisfied the justice of his Father; and purchased not only reconciliation, but an everlasting inheritance in the kingdom of heaven, for all those whom the Father hath given unto him.
Westminster Confession of Faith CHAPTER VIII. Of Christ the MediatorIV. This office the Lord Jesus did most willingly undertake; which that he might discharge, he was made under the law, and did perfectly fulfil it; endured most grievous torments immediately in his soul, and most painful sufferings in his body; was crucified, and died; was buried, and remained under the power of death, yet saw no corruption. On the third day he arose from the dead, with the same body in which he suffered; with which also he ascended into heaven, and there sits at the right hand of his Father, making intercession; and shall return to judge men and angels at the end of the world.

Westminster Confession of Faith8. Of Christ the MediatorIII. The Lord Jesus, in his human nature thus united to the divine, was sanctified, and anointed with the Holy Spirit, above measure, having in him all the treasures of wisdomand knowledge; in whom it pleased the Father that all fulness should dwell; to the end, that being holy, harmless, undefiled, and full of grace and truth, he might be thoroughly furnished to execute the office of a Mediator and Surety. Which office he took not unto himself, but was thereunto called by his Father, who put all power and judgment into his hand, and gave him commandment to execute the same.
CHAPTER VIII. Of Christ the MediatorII. The Son of God, the second person in the Trinity, being very and eternal God, of one substance, and equal with the Father, did, when the fulness of time was come, take upon him man's nature, with all the essential properties and common infirmities thereof, yet without sin; being conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost, in the womb of the Virgin Mary, of her substance. So that two whole, perfect, and distinct natures, the Godhead and the manhood, were inseparably joined together in one person, without conversion, composition, or confusion. Which person is very God and very man, yet one Christ, the only Mediator between God and man.
Jesus teaches us in the Bible that our body is a temple in 1 Corinthians 6:19. Jesus takes us through this subject that we should keep ourselves holy and set apart in Mind Body & spirit . In 1 Peter 2:4-5 Jesus tells us that we should " Love not the world neither the things in the world. We need to take care of our temples by eating right and minding the things of the lord staying away from too much sugar , salt and sweets. In Matthew 18 Jesus tells us to cut it off we have a problem in the body Of Christ putting up with Gluttony and Mammon during our fellowships in the body of Christ in our local churches. Jesus wants us to push past overindulgence & food being what always brings us together he needs us to abide in him knowing we might go through persecution. Jesus takes us into 1 John Letting us know in verse 16 For all this is in the world the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the father but is of the world. Jesus wants us to forsake the world and fast more putting our flesh in submission . CHAPTER VIII. Of Christ the MediatorI. It pleased God, in his eternal purpose, to choose and ordain the Lord Jesus, his only begotten Son, to be the Mediator between God and man; the Prophet, Priest, and King; the Head and Savior of his Church; the Heir of all things; and Judge of the world: unto whom he did from all eternity give a people to be his seed, and to be by him in time redeemed, called, justified, sanctified, and glorified
Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com Mark 11 and Luke 13 tell of Jesus on his way to the temple… he sees a fig tree… 12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14 Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it. 15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. 17 And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'[c]? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.'[d]” 18 The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching. 19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples[e] went out of the city. 20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” 22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” It bears no fruit… neither does the Nation of Israel The temple had been turned into a shopping mall, not a house of prayer. It was supposed to bear fruit… but it did not. It was supposed to be the time… but it was not. The fig tree was out of season for figs, so why did Jesus curse it? Because typically at that time it was not the season for figs.We know Fig trees produce leaves at the time of the Passover, and small fruits do appear, which will ripen later… so there should have been signs of fruits to come - These fruits are unripe but marginally edible. The leaves promise fruit on the tree, but its barren fruitless… its a “looks like Tarzan plays like Jane”. Its bark is bigger than its bite… its a poser, its a wanna be…. It's Israel at the time Of Christ culminating act of dying for the sins of the world… they should be ready, waiting and open to bearing fruit… but they are hard hearted. The religious leaders of the day are barren. So Jesus curses the posers… don't miss the irony here. God in just a second talks about unforgiveness…but right now he is cursing a tree symbolically as the religious leaders… so apparently you can without anger or bitterness or hate or malice - you can curse something or someone… but maybe that is just stored up for the religious leaders… and fake pastors and fake social media preachers and bible thumping hustlers… sorry I digress. He also shows the power and turn around of a curse - 24 hours. Not bad. But it also shows us the power of a blessing…surely if Jesus can curse something and get results in 24 hours, he can also bless something and get results in 24 hours. And might I remind you that he goes on to say in faith we can do the same…. In fact we can tear mountains up with our faith and cast them into the sea… mere words with faith has immediate actions.. But there is a caveat… a warning or a read this before using notification. And that is this: don't try this with unforgiveness in your heart. It seems that the sin of unforgiveness is the kryptonite of prayer. So maybe our first prayer should not be to move mountains for miracles but rather mountains of unforgiveness… and then we can start moving mountains of miracles…. Something to think about.

In this episode of Creations Paths, host Charlie, a non-binary sci-fi fantasy writer and practicing Druid, delves into the concepts of the queenship and motherhood of Mary. Charlie explores the significance of Mary in Christian tradition, explaining how she serves as a substitute and stand-in for humanity, emphasizing her role in salvation history and her embodiment of divine feminine power. From Mary's Fiat to her presence as the Queen of Heaven, this video examines her profound impact and importance. Charlie discusses the paradigm shifts in modern, post-modern, and metamodern perspectives on faith and how Mary's queenship counters patriarchal instincts. The episode also touches upon the personal devotional impacts of Mary and how she serves as a source of healing and balance in faith practice.Tips or Donations here: https://ko-fi.com/cedorsett patreon.com/cedorsett Substack: https://www.creationspaths.com/ For Educational Resource: https://wisdomscry.com For all of the things we are doing at The Seraphic Grove go to Creation's Paths https://www.creationspaths.com/ Social Connections: BlueSky https://bsky.app/profile/creationspaths.com Threads https://www.threads.net/@creationspaths Instagram https://www.instagram.com/creationspaths/Transcript:[00:00:00] Charlie- New: Salve Regina. Hail holy queen mother and queen blessed Mary mother of God, mother of the church, mother of us all, queen of our hearts. Yes today, we're going to be talking about the queenship of Mary and the motherhood of Mary. Why would a metamodern anarchist like me be all down for calling anybody a queen. Let's talk about that. On today's Creations Paths. Intro. [00:00:27] Charlie- New: Hello everyone. My name is Charlie. I'm a non-binary scifi fantasy writer. I'm also a practicing Druid as is my husband, Brian. Today we're going to be talking about the motherhood, the queenship of Mary. This is I think a hard one for modern folk. Harder for post-modern folk and. I think dirt simple for Metta modern folk. [00:01:01] Brian - New: Ah, the progressions. [00:01:02] Charlie- New: The progression, how the paradigms do shift. So might be confused by those three labels and don't worry. it's fine. a Modernist is somebody who believes in grand unifying ideas. A post-modern is all about deconstruction and tearing those ideas back into there little bitty pieces in a Metamodernism, just kind of dances. Through it all. [00:01:24] Brian - New: about the journey or the dance. [00:01:26] Charlie- New: Its about the journey. It just oscillate back and forth between the grand idea and the deconstruction of it. Here I am sitting here. I pray the Salve Regina, I often. will call out to the queen of heaven, to the queen of our hearts, to the queen of mercy. There's so many wonderful titles that Mary, has. Yet, if you were to tell me that I had to bow to an actual earthly queen, I would laugh at you unless I was at some kind of a ball or something. [00:01:54] Brian - New: Then she going to have to prove herself. [00:01:56] Charlie- New: she going to have to make it work. Why does it matter to us? in this. Day and age to talk about the queenship of Mary. Well, one. As we've talked before and we'll probably always be talking about. When it comes to Mary, Mary is the substitute, the stand in for us in these stories. She is the first who gave that beautiful Fiat. When she said, yes. So that the son of God could be born into the world. She is the one who proclaimed the gospel that the high will be thrown down and their Thrones will be scattered and that the lowly will be brought up. She is the one who was there through all of the. Mysteries of Christ's life. She is the one who was taken into heaven. She is the one who became one. With the father, as Christ is with the father. And is the matrix from whom we are all formed. Mary is so central. To the heart of the faith. If you came from a Protestant upbringing, This may seem. Foreign to you. I know it was when Brian and I first got together because. I have been a Marianist since I was about 16. [00:03:07] Brian - New: When first exposed to these concepts, I was like, what's the point? Like. If you got God, you got Jesus. Aren't you good. Isn't it all? I think. you did two things. One. When you pointed out, that could be good and for some of them that is all they need. That is great and wonderful. But for others, they might not feel. Worthy or they might not feel deserving. Of grace. Of being in the presence of God. Sometimes it's easier to go to the mother. And to be cradled and held by the mother. mothers tend to be non-judging and accepting. And then you handed me saint Louis de Montfort's book and said, read this. Sent me on my way. Which was very fascinating. Read. Pretty fascinating time, but. Not for this episode. [00:03:54] Charlie- New: Well, and he called it right. He did call her a secret of Mary. Is the secret of Marry. Come to your faith. Faithful one. Let me tell you the secret of Mary. As hard as the secret known to, but a few right. Mary is so core to all of this because she is the one who formed Christ. She formed. Jesus. She is the mother. Of Christ. And as such, if we are the body of Christ, she is our mother. But also as the mother of Christ, she is the one who forms us. She is the one that makes us. Who and what we are is Paul. Says she's the heavenly Jerusalem. When thinking about her and her place in the economy of salvation, she is. The pinpoint she's the startup. Yeah. She brought. The holy one, she brought Christ into the world. With her queenship. why should that matter? [00:04:46] Charlie- New: Well, one. I think it's very important to highlight the queenship of Mary. Because it fights against the. Patriarchal instincts of the Imperial church. That even when they want to call her a queen. We'll try to sideline her in many, many ways. And that she. And we, they tried to take her family away. They tried to do all kinds of things. To try to keep her from living in the fullness. That she does. Mary's queenship. Reminds us. Of the power of the feminine. The absolute power, that is there. We often talk about the kingdom of God. I know that there've been people who have tried to move away from that term. Matthew Fox has tried to move away from the term, a lot of, uh, Christian leaders of. Tried realm or. Matthew Fox likes to say queendom. Of God, which. It's just a word that. I don't know. Jingles in my brain in a strange way. If we were to look at the way that these words have been traditionally used. Cause. I think it is important to have a sense of continuity. She is the queen of the kingdom. She stands there. To me. Mary is the answer to the question that the sons of Zebedee ask Jesus, who will sit at your right hand. Oh, Mary. And to me, Jesus answers this question, the first shall be last. And the last shall be first. The one who shall be first will be the servant of all. Mary does not have a prominent role throughout the gospels. And is. Absent. To the point where a lot of people forget that she was there. And you have to point out. No, she's right there. She's right there. Through the entire story, but in her humility, she is. Doing her job, everything. My son tells you do it. She's always pointing. To the Christ. It's only afterwards. Where she is able to take her real true and proper place. Where we see. The role that she plays. I'm not saying that all of us need to just fade into the background. Though, if you're going to be like, Uh, shadow broker. Who's bringing good about into the world. Fade into the background. Make the good things happen. But the story, at least at that time was not about her. Now it is. Like I said that. The story is about Mary start very, very early on. From the Purdue week, Ben gallium. Telium of James. That spends a lot of time on her childhood and her parents. Anne and Joachim. Through to the door mission of Mary that tells us about her assumption into heaven for the first time. Mary becomes the center of the story very quickly in Christian history. And has remained in this primacy. Place. It's because. We need. That mother. Because the Imperial church. Robbed us of a. Maternal God, which by the way, is found throughout the Christian tradition. And the. scriptural one as well. As just a side note. I love giving people the revelation of divine. Knowing. And of divine love for the first time. By Julian of Norwich because when they see the phrase of mother Christ, For the first time, it just kind of shatters their expectations. And when you remember that this woman is a Saint in the Episcopalian and Catholic, like every church claims her. She uses the phrase mother Christ. We had a lot in that book actually. Because the divine feminine has always been there. But it gets hidden. Like Mary. Was it. This pivotal person. In the history of our faith. She raised. The Christ child. She was there when they fled into Egypt and she was there when they came back. She's the one that would have instilled his morals and ethics and to him as he's growing up. And yet we don't get to see. Hardly any of that. In scripture. By stressing that this unseen. Character. Is our queen. Because Queens are. majestic. They're powerful. It reminds us one. When we think about our own families. How very often. It was our mother and sisters and whatnot who kept everything flowing. Moving smoothly. Unseen by our hands you just woke up and there was breakfast cause. I don't know. You were a child and didn't think about where the breakfast came from. It was just there on the table when you got up. Now your mom got up before you and made that breakfast. Maybe. not all mothers. But you get the gist of what I'm trying to say. Power. It's not always loud. This is the other thing I love about the idea of the queenship of Mary. When we think of the kingship of God. You get images of like a Cecil B DeMille movie, god on the top of the mountain. Moses. These are my 10 commandments. It was booming voice coming down from heaven. We forget that we're told that the voice of God is. A whisper. It's a still small voice. It's a Russel. Leaves in the wind. It's a subtle voice. It's not this. Booming voice. In fact, when we actually read the story in. Exodus of them receiving the 10 sayings. It says, the voice of God was on the mountain and the people saw it. Which is a very interesting turn of phrase. Because they saw the voice, they didn't hear it. They saw the voice. It was a powerful image. We give this very. Strong vocal voice. Then when we think about. The queen. Especially with Mary, like I said, with her seeming absence yet. Ever presence in the gospels. It reminds us to listen for that actual real voice of God. That quiet. Still small voice of God that. Like what the experience of Elijah. God, wasn't in the fire, God wasn't in the earthquake. God, wasn't in the wind. But after all these three things, There was a still small voice. That's where we find the voice of God. That's where we find it in Mary. Mary is such an ever pervading presence in our lives. Queen of the angels queen of our hearts. These are not just words that I say because they're written in the litany somewhere. This is my experience of Mary. When I say I became a Marianist when I was 16. That's because. I was raised Baptist. I've talked about this bit, but I didn't convert to Catholicism. adulthood. I wasn't raised with Mary. Mary. Wasn't a part of my childhood. I found her. I found the secret of Mary. It gave me meaning and purpose. Like St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. When I thought about her. My heart. Warmed up. It brought me to life in a way that very few other thoughts had. It gave me meaning and purpose. Gave me something to strive for. When we say in the prayers, our life, our sweetness here below. That's Mary. Now there are thousands of words and pages written. About her, but when you look at the scripture, she's here, she's there. She doesn't have that profound presence. But she's there in all of it. Throughout the whole thing. That loving presence of that sweet divine mother. Guiding us and leading us. Ever forward. I love calling out to. Our queen. [00:11:59] Brian - New: It's also through Mary that. I find. Healing in the imagery of the kingdom of heaven. I know a lot of people nowadays. Bristle. At that term, as you pointed out earlier, But it is through Mary. As queen. We realize it puts things back into balance. It moves away from the falsehoods of misogyny. The false hoods of the significant figure in history that the one person that does. Man. Man history. Falsehoods and Mary helps to heal that because then you realize it's a king and a queen. It is in a way, going back to the time of judges. Which the old Testament. God said was the better way to have things. Anyhow, it's a council. It's not just this one dictation on high. That's not voice. It's the loud voice and the quiet voice. It's both together. It's the. action that you see. And the action that you don't see. [00:12:56] Charlie- New: It brings us back to the Elohim to God and. Cause the truest sense that divine counsel, that. True unity that said, let us make man in our image. And then he made them. Male and female. in unity and harmony and altogether. In one. That really is. The heart of what's missing and a lot of modern faith and a lot of modern practice. I have a very strong devotion to Mary. It's rivaled only by my devotion with Bridget. And if you've ever studied the prayers. Of our ancestors. Mary and Bridgid are almost always. Invoked together. In fact. It said that Bridgid. They say, this is about the saint, but I feel like this is more true of the goddess. was the foster mother of Jesus that she was the handmade. She was the midwife. That helped. Mary give birth to Jesus. And of course St. Bridget of Kildare could not have done that. But Bridgette could have done that. It's Bridget has always been and always will be. Like all the faces of God. So we see them together. When you see them together. Something magical happens because it erodes this idea of competition. It erodes the site idea of there being anything. Any vine for the attention or affections of the king. Mary is there. Bridget is there? Jesus is there. We are there. we don't have to fight about it. We don't have to beg to be seen. Because we are. personally like the terms king and queen for God. And Mary, just for one other reason. Because that's where the kingdom is. The kingdom of God is not of this world. By remembering that my true queen, my true king is not of this world. It makes it easier not to set up a queen or king in this world. So on this day, when we're remembering the queenship of Mary. I recommend maybe. watch Sister Act again. Right before we started this podcast, I played the salvia Regina. From the sister act soundtrack to get us. Ready. For this episode. Maybe watch one of my favorite movies. the song of Bernadette, which is about. Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Bernadette Soubirous. When she had the visions of Mary. love that movie so much. It's also a good movie. If you've never seen Vincent Price play anything, but in a horror movie. He still plays kind of the villain of the movie, it's an interesting role. That is not what I've come to expect to see as a Vincent Price would be. He's very good at it. Go out and. Just listen to nature. The queenship of Mary is everywhere. When we think about may, which is the traditional month where we celebrate Mary. So many of the songs invoke the lilies of the field and the flowers and the birds and the butterflies. That nature, because. The love of our divine mother. Is the most natural thing. I think I should just take just a moment. Cause I keep saying our divine mother and I know people that are coming from Protestant. Upbringing may have a problem with that. Mary is the mother of God. If you believe that Jesus has God. Mary is Jesus's mother. They're four by the transit of property. Mary is the mother of God. It's in the book. Whether there was a god. Before. Is a stupid question that gets asked by people that aren't really thinking, and they're just wanting to cause problems. Of course there was a god before. But Mary. Made that God. Mary. Is the vehicle through which Christ. That same cosmic Christ. That. Created everything and holds the universe together. Through Mary, that Christ came into this world. We meet him in the form of Jesus Christ. [00:16:51] Brian - New: When going back there was the Shekinah. Kina Shekinah. There you go. Thank you. [00:16:57] Charlie- New: have feelings about how Mary relates to the Shekinah, but that's a whole bag of worms, Mary as the lost princess. I really in my heart of hearts, believe that. I don't believe that anyone else has to believe that, but yes, in my heart of hearts, Yeah, Mary is the presence of God. The sweet. Shekinah the. The tent that covers us and holds us and one family. I guess 100% in my heart of hearts. I believe that. And for that alone makes her the queen. [00:17:27] Brian - New: the wind that supports us by day and the. Pillar, flame that lights our way and protects us. Our path at night. In the darkness. [00:17:36] Charlie- New: If you're into. More traditional things. Open up a prayer book. Say a rosary. Say a litany. Beautiful lit news. Just say the Regina Caeli. [00:17:47] Brian - New: For the Druids out there just take a moment today. Go outside. Sit under a tree. Sit in the mother's embrace. No, that we're all worth it. Raul. We're all. Okay. No matter how dark we are. We're all good. Some level. Mom always gives us a hug no matter what. Or how filthy we come in from playing outside. [00:18:06] Charlie- New: She is. Like the prayer says our life, our sweetness here below. Oh, Maria. This is a much more devotional episode than I thought it was going to end up being. But. It's hard for me to talk about Mary and not just. Break out into just extolling her brilliance and her virtues and just my absolute love and admiration for her. She has answered our prayers. With felt her presence in our darkest times. She she is with us. She cares for us. She is our mother and our queen. And I hope that. If you've. You've had those experiences too. And if you haven't. We fly to your patronage. Holy Mary mother of God. Never hasn't been known that anyone. Who has flown. Two, your. Who has asked you if anything has ever been turned away, empty. It's an old prayer. And it's a prayer that is still in use today because it is still true today. So this, this has helped you and you think that, you know, somebody else who would like it, please share that helps us. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN BY BRINGING BACK THE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE OF EARLY AMERICA: GEORGE WHITEFIELD
JONATHON EDWARDS WAS THE PASTOR OF THE CHURCH IN NORTH HAMPTON MASSACHUSETTS, WHERE THE GREAT RELIGIOUS AWAKENIMG WAS IGNITED IN 1734. AT THAT TIME GEORGE WASHINGTON, JOHN ADAMS AND THOMAS JEFFERSON WERE LESS THAN 10 YEARS OLD IN 1740 AND THUS GREW UP AMIDST THE GREAT AWAKENING FOR GEORGE WHITEFIELD FURTHERED THE GREAT AWAKENING FOR HE PREACHED OVER 18000 SERMONS, ABOUT 15/WEEK FROM 1740-1770. BENJAMIN FRANKL RECORDS IN HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY THAT ONE TIME GEORGE WHITEFIELD CAME INTO PHILADELPHIA AND BENJAMIN FRANKLIN ESTIMATED THAT ABOUT 30,000 WERE IN ATTENDANCE. BUT BY 1746 JONATHON EDWARDS DETERMINED THAT SATAN HAD SOWED MANY TARES AMONGST THE WHEAT AND SO HE WROTE THE BOOK, ENTITLED RELIGIOUS AFFECTIONS, TO HELP THE COLONISTS DETERMINE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TRUE CHRISTIAN AND A PROFESSING CHRISTIAN. THE DOCTRINAL STATEMENTS DURING THAT PERIODOF TIME WERE MUCH MORE DETAILED THAN THEY ARE TODAY, BUT EVEN WITH THOSE DETAILED DOCTRINAL STATEMENTS IT WAS NOT ENOUGH AND THUS JONATHON EDWARDS FELT COMPELLED TO WRITE RELIGIOUS AFFECTIONS TO HELP THE COLONISTS MORE EASILY DIFFERENTIATE THE TRUE CHRISTIAN FROM THE PROFESSING CHRISTIAN. IN AMERICA TODAY THE DOCTRINAL STATEMENTS ARE SO WEAK AND WIDE OPEN THAT YOU COULD DRIVE A SEMI THROUGH THEM. TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA HOW MUCH MORE DETAILED THE DOCTRINAL STATEMENTS WERE AT THE TIME OF OUR AMERICAN REVOLUTION LET US LOOK AT THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH DOCTRINAL STATEMENT WHICH IS CALLED THE WESTMINSTER CONFESSION AND PRINCETON WAS PRESBYTERIAN. HERE ARE SOME EXCERPTS TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF HOW DETAILED AND COMPREHENSIVE IT WAS. The Westminster Confession of Faith (WCF, 1646) Table of Contents Chapter I. Of the Holy ScriptureChapter II. Of the State of Man After Death, and of the Resurrection of the DeadChapter XXXIII. Of the Last Judgment CHAPTER IX. Of Free Will. III. Man, by his fall into a state of sin, has wholly lost all ability of will to any spiritual good accompanying salvation: so as, a natural man, being altogether averse from that good, and dead in sin, is not able, by his own strength, to convert himself, or to prepare himself thereunto. CHAPTER III.—Of God's Eternal Decree. VI. As God has appointed the ELECT unto glory, so has He, by the eternal and most free purpose of His will, foreordained all the means thereunto. Wherefore, they who are elected, being fallen in Adam, are redeemed by Christ, are effectually called unto faith in Christ by His Spirit working in due season, are justified, adopted, sanctified, and kept by His power, through faith, unto salvation. NEITHER are ANY OTHER redeemed by Christ, effectually called, justified, adopted, sanctified, and saved, but the elect only.

God Gives Strength and Power (2) David Eells 5/8/24 (Audio) Compassion Brings Power Whenever there is compassion in God for His creation His power is given to them. Rom 9:15-16 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that hath mercy. His compassion for the elect causes Him to put His will in their hearts. 2Ki 13:23 But Jehovah was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet. He had grace unmerited and compassion because of His promises. 2Ch 30:8-9 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were; but yield yourselves unto Jehovah, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified forever, and serve Jehovah your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you. 9 For if ye turn again unto Jehovah, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for Jehovah your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him. Because of them taking advantage of His grace through willful disobedience, He demanded repentance so they could have compassion from their enemies. Isa 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. Zec 7:9 Thus hath Jehovah of hosts spoken, saying, Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother; Pro 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto Jehovah, And his good deed will he pay him again. Mic 7:19 He will again have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Isa 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee. Psa 72:13 He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save. And so should we that we might have His compassion on us. Psa 102:13 Thou wilt arise, and have mercy upon Zion; For it is time to have pity upon her, Yea, the set time is come. This time of mercy and compassion is for the Bride! Isa 63:8-9 For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their Saviour. 9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. Father will once again deliver His people from their captivities through His compassion. Joe 2:18 Then was Jehovah jealous for his land, and had pity on his people. 2Sa 22:26 With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; With the perfect man thou wilt show thyself perfect; And if we will show compassion Fathers compassion and power will be with us. Isa 49:13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for Jehovah hath comforted his people, and will have compassion upon his afflicted. Lam 3:31-33 For the Lord will not cast off forever. 32 For though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. 33 For he doth not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men. Even the afflictions are compassion for He crucifies our flesh that we might live with Him. Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their iniquities, And their sins will I remember no more. When Jesus felt compassion His power was manifest to His people. Mat 8:2-3 And behold, there came to him a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3 And he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou made clean. And straightway his leprosy was cleansed. Mat 8:14-17 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother lying sick of a fever. 15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she arose, and ministered unto him. 16 And when even was come, they brought unto him many possessed with demons: and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick: 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our diseases. His compassion drove Him as one who was “beside Himself” to meet the needs of the people. Luk 7:12-13 Now when he drew near to the gate of the city, behold, there was carried out one that was dead, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14 And he came nigh and touched the bier: and the bearers stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother. Notice that Jesus asked nothing of her. It was simply because of pity for her plight that His compassion reached out to her by giving her son back to her. Isa 40:11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those that have their young. He is the consummate Good Shepherd who loves His Sheep. Mat 9:35-36 And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness. 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were distressed and scattered, as sheep not having a shepherd. They needed direction, God's Word, healing and were distressed and through compassion He met the needs. The same account is here in Mar 6:34 And he came forth and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. His compassion moved Him to give them understanding which was their basic issue. Mat 14:13 Now when Jesus heard it, (John the Baptist had been beheaded) he withdrew from thence in a boat, to a desert place apart: and when the multitudes heard thereof, they followed him on foot from the cities. 14 And he came forth, and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick. Notice that His Compassion moved him to heal their many sick. When He acted on compassion there was healings. 15-18 And when even was come, the disciples came to him, saying, The place is desert, and the time is already past; send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food. (The disciples wanted the people to all go find food for they had been without but Jesus cared about their need above His own and power was available to perform a great miracle.) 16 But Jesus said unto them, They have no need to go away; give ye them to eat. 17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. 18 And he said, Bring them hither to me. 19 And he commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes. 20 And they all ate, and were filled: and they took up that which remained over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. 21 And they that did eat were about five thousand men, besides women and children. He has cared for my families need for food and multiplied it. Mar 8:1-3 In those days, when there was again a great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, 2 I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: 3 and if I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way; and some of them are come from far. He was teaching them all this time and was no doubt hungry and tired also. His concern and compassion for them empowered Him for the miracle. Mat 18:10-14 See that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven. (11 was added, not numeric) 12 How think ye? if any man have a hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and go unto the mountains, and seek that which goeth astray? 13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth over it more than over the ninety and nine which have not gone astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. The Lords compassion for the wayward sheep caused Him to search them out. Many times they are led away by criticism, rejection, unforgiveness. Simple truths from the Word can turn them around. Luk 10:30-37 Jesus made answer and said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. (Many people are this way in spiritually. They have been robbed and plundered by spirits or spirits in others.) 31 And by chance a certain priest was going down that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 And in like manner a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side. (No doubt they were too busy with their own agenda to stop and help.) 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion, (Sometimes those who have the least respect have the most compassion so God respects them.) 34 and came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on them oil and wine; and he set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow he took out two shillings, and gave them to the host, and said, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, I, when I come back again, will repay thee. 36 Which of these three, thinkest thou, proved neighbor unto him that fell among the robbers? 37 And he said, He that showed mercy on him. And Jesus said unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. Mat 20:30-34 And behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David. (They recognized Jesus as the son of David who could give them God's mercy.) 31 And the multitude rebuked them, that they should hold their peace: but they cried out the more, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David. 32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I should do unto you? A cry for mercy is a much answered prayer. 33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. 34 And Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and straightway they received their sight, and followed him. Joh 11:32-44 Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, and saw him, fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. 33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, 34 and said, Where have ye laid him? They say unto him, Lord, come and see. 35 Jesus wept. (Jesus delayed His coming when his sisters sent for Him, so He wasn't sad and crying because he was dead for He knew He had the solution. He wept because of their grief for they did not yet believe He was “the resurrection and the life”.) 36 The Jews therefore said, Behold how he loved him! 38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it. 39 Jesus saith, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time the body decayeth; for he hath been dead four days. 40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou believedst, thou shouldest see the glory of God? 41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me. :42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the multitude that standeth around I said it, that they may believe that thou didst send me. (Jesus wanted them to believe He was their Messiah and savior.) 43 And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. 44 He that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. (Jesus had compassion on this family and power came to raise Lazarus even as the Pharisees wanted to kill him again because of this testimony.) Joh 13:13-17 Ye call me, Teacher, and, Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you. The Lord has called us to be one who cleans our brothers walk with the Word. Mat 18:26-35 The servant therefore fell down and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27 And the lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. (His compassion forgave us our debt of sin.) 28 But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow-servants, who owed him a hundred shillings: and he laid hold on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay what thou owest. 29 So his fellow-servant fell down and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee. 30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay that which was due. The evil servant without compassion would not forgive another's debt of sin against him. 32 Then his lord called him unto him, and saith to him, Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou besoughtest me: 33 shouldest not thou also have had mercy on thy fellow-servant, even as I had mercy on thee? 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due. 35 So shall also my heavenly Father do unto you, if ye forgive not everyone his brother from your hearts. Those who sow compassion reap compassion. Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! They were haters and murderers of the righteous and found no compassion from God. Luk 19:41-42 And when he drew nigh, he saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, If thou hadst known in this day, even thou, the things which belong unto peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. He so desired to have compassion but they were not a people of peace and were blinded. He showed restraint and self-control when He was subjected to their cursing and mocking of His accusers. Weakness and Humility Brings Power Mat 26:53 Or thinkest thou that I cannot beseech my Father, and he shall even now send me more than twelve legions of angels? Jesus had authority and power came forth from Him, but not for the purpose of saving Himself. “He saved others; Himself He cannot save.” Mat 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (As we know rest comes through faith, which is a gift of God.) 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: (The word “meek” in Greek is praos = gentle, that is, humble: Websters: Softness of temper; mildness; forbearance under injuries and provocations. And the word “lowly” means, humiliation of mind, of low degree; lowliness of mind.) and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Of Christ it is written in Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee; he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass. What? No horses, gold toilets, Rolex watches, 17 airplanes. Weakness is a true strength when it qualifies us for the Lord's power. What pleases God is that we live from faith, that we not live from our self-confidence, or our self-sufficiency, or our own ability, or the strength of the arm of the flesh, but that we put our trust in God. 2Co 12:9-10 And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. If we will be weak as a little child, God's power will be there. Most often, God's power is not there because we refuse to be weak. We want to be strong in a circumstance. We see what we think needs to be done and we run to do it, and we are not ceasing from our works. We are not entering into the Sabbath rest (Heb 4:11). If we will refuse to be strong in ourselves, and we put our trust in God, we will see His power there every time. As children of God, we have all the power of our Father because He is the provider, He is the deliverer, He is the savior. He takes care of everything for us. And He lives in us. Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. (The fruit of the Spirit are also our works) 24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof. (That's the end result of self-control) The Lord said that we had to take up our cross and follow Him to the death of self (Mat 16:24). If we're going to enter into the resurrection life of Jesus in the earth, we have to enter into this death in the earth. We have to take up our cross. There is nothing weaker than a dead man. He never sins; you can slap him and he turns the other cheek. Rom 8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life (Zoe') also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (That's the end of self-control. Resurrection life is the end of the old man's rule.) 1Jn 2:28 And now, my little children, abide in him; that, if he shall be manifested (Greek: Phaneroo = To make visible; to cause to shine - in us), we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested (same - In us), we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is. (And He in us can do the greater works for His power is in us.) 3 And every one that hath this hope set on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (That's self-control) 2Pe 1:3 Seeing (By faith) that his divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life (Greek - Zoe, God's life) and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us by his own glory and virtue; (How do you know what to exercise faith in without knowledge? You have to know what has been given to you so that you know how to exercise faith. It's so that you can know how to believe God.) 4 whereby he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in that world by lust. The power of God will come to people who believe and confess the Good news of the gospel. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith. (This is the faith of the Gospel:) Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me. Rom 6:11-12 Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof: (Then we will be able to obey Col 3:12-14 Put on therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering; 13 forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man have a complaint against any; even as the Lord forgave you, so also do ye: 14 and above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness. If we constrain our compassion for others we do not have God's love. 1Jn 3:16-18 Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoso hath the world's goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him? Php 2:5-8 Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men; 8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross. The more we become empty of ourselves through faith, the more Christ can live in us and work His power through us. So we die daily and put to death the deeds of the flesh in order for God to complete the life of Christ in us. Php 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ: Just as Jesus learned obedience to God in what He suffered, so must we. Heb 5:8 though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered; We learn through suffering in the flesh too and then we are able to comfort others with what comfort we have been comforted, having gone through similar trials ourselves. You cannot give something to others what you don't have in you. Because of our own afflictions, we are able to understand their suffering, pain and sorrow and will be able to minister to them in the love of Christ. 2Co 1:3-7 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; 4 who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound unto us, even so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ. 6 But whether we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or whether we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which worketh in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: 7 and our hope for you is stedfast; knowing that, as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so also are ye of the comfort. Heb 10:32-34 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were enlightened, ye endured a great conflict of sufferings; 33 partly, being made a gazing stock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, becoming partakers with them that were so used. 34 For ye both had compassion on them that were in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your possessions, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better possession and an abiding one. (Suffering it does not last forever because He humbles and strengthens us with His power.) 1Pe 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you. 2Ti 1:7 For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline. (Fear weakens us but God gives power and self-control. Some versions instead of discipline use “self-control.”) Act 6:8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, wrought great wonders and signs among the people. Eph 3:7 whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power. Act 5:12-16 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. 13 But of the rest durst no man join himself to them: howbeit the people magnified them; 14 and believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women; 15 insomuch that they even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that, as Peter came by, at the least his shadow might overshadow some one of them. 16 And there also came together the multitudes from the cities round about Jerusalem, bringing sick folk, and them that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed everyone. 1Th 1:5-6 how that our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, (The powerless gospel is everywhere but not among the faithful Spirit filled.) and in much assurance; even as ye know what manner of men we showed ourselves toward you for your sake. 6 And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit; Father fill your people with your Spirit, joy and power in Jesus name. Rom 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, For this very purpose did I raise thee up, that I might show in thee my power, and that my name might be published abroad in all the earth. 18 So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will he hardeneth. (Here it is hard to escape the fact that God made Pharaoh stubborn in order to make Himself famous and powerful in the eyes of men. God knows that we need to perceive a great God and Savior in all circumstances and against all odds.) Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction: Mat 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Luk 6:36 Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful. Jas 5:11 Behold, we call them blessed that endured: ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, how that the Lord is full of pity, and merciful. Hear The Word Of Your Lord Debbie Fenske 4/19/2024 (David's notes in red) This is the time to stop thinking about yourself. A mind on self is a worldly mind. Put it far from you. This is the time to have your mind focused on what I am doing, and how I am going to do it, and how I will use you and move through you. Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ, who emptied Himself and became obedient to His Father. He was not obedient to His own inclinations. He had none of His own inclinations. He was totally yielded to every thought and way of His Father. And now, you must be yielded to only me and my way of thinking. My way is love. My way is also judgment. And my way is mercy. Think on these things. Come before me ready to let me speak to you the things on My heart, that you will intercede from a heart ready to fulfill My will in this time. I have given you authority to bind and loose. Let this mind be in you. Listen to me. I have an agenda. I want to speak to each heart and mind who wants to line up with what I am doing. Warfare. Do warfare. As you are taking in My Word, you will know how to pray. And you will know what I precisely want you to warfare against. Do you see this thing I have called you too? Are you getting it? It is nothing about yourself, or of yourself. It is My will. You are in My army. You are called to be soldiers. You are called to set yourself apart from the things of this world. Repent, Change your mind. Change your thinking. Renew your mind with the things that make for peace, through prayer, which is My will for you to do each day. There is only peace in that. There is no striving. Are you going to give yourself up to what I have need of you for? There is only peace in giving up. And there is a work that needs to be done, wars for souls that need to be won. Feel the freedom. My thoughts for your thoughts. My ways for your ways. My desires for your desires. Let us build the kingdom together. I can do it without you. But it would mean, casting you aside. Oh my people, how that thought breaks My heart. My people hear the Word of Your Lord. Think on these things and act accordingly. Word From The Lord David Timoshchuk 4/23/2024 (David's notes in red) On the outreach tonight while Michael was reading Debbie's word from the Lord, I started hearing a voice and He said, “When you're free from self, that's when you have the calm in your storm. When you're free of self, that's when the sea splits so you can reach the other side. When you're free of self only then can you love Me and the ones around you. When you're free from self, that's when you will be able to enter My presence. Am I worthy enough for you to give yourselves up to be with Me?”
