Pixar's UP has, arguably, one of the most emotionally potent openings in cinematic history. What gives it that emotional punch? One could argue that the opening of Pixar's UP works far better than the rest of the film. Do you agree? Does it hurt the rest of the film What are some key storytelling elements that we can learn from Pixar's UP opening scene as we craft our own opening scenes? We’ve also included a Toy Story 95/96’ Best Original Song category and our OSP of The Incredibles 2 in our Soundcloud playlist. But as for the main series, we’ve completed joyous episodes on Toy Story, Monsters Inc & Monsters University, A Bug’s Life, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo & Finding Dory, Ratatouille, and Wall-E. For one Mike, Up might be his favorite. For the other, he has a tough decision to make. But both of us are loving these films so much more after further study. The History of the Pixar Company & Movie Specs segments chronicle how the company has hit its stride both in terms of Oscar recognition and box office gains. We share more fascinating animation stories from our behind the scenes studies throughout the episodes, and we also analyze perhaps the most influential of the 22 Rules of Pixar Storytelling to date in spoilers. As the Oscars off-season nears its end, we continue to gain momentum with our MMO Weekly film festival updates and this massively rewarding Oscar Movie Re-Watch of the Pixar Franchise. We’re building this series up to the release of Toy Story 4, and we’ll have another major series rewatch announcement and our first episode in that series for you all next week. The return of convicted dog killer Michael Vick to the NFL continues to generate heated discussions and the fact that he signed with Philadelphia is significant.  The city of Brotherly Love has a major dogfighting problem according to Humane Society chief executive Wayne Pacelle. This gives us a big boost.”  No word yet on if the controversial player will donate any of his earnings to animal welfare organizations. What's with the deluge of GPS based ID tags for pets?
