Comedian and actor Gilbert Gottfried, a man Stephen King once called “a national treasure,” talks with the show business legends, icons and behind-the-scenes talents who shaped his childhood and influenced his comedy. Along with co-host and fellow pop culture fanatic Frank Santopadre, Gilbert is joined by comics, actors, musicians, talk show hosts, writers and other eyewitnesses to Hollywood history, including Bruce Dern, Chevy Chase, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Adam West, Steve Buscemi, Micky Dolenz, Jim Gaffigan, Judd Apatow and DOZENS more, for a funny, frenetic, fly-on-the-wall look at showbiz then and now (but mostly then.) Gilbert Gottfried’s Amazing Colossal Podcast was named "Best Podcast of 2015" by the Village Voice and one of iTunes' "Best of 2014." It has been featured in Rolling Stone, Wired and the Los Angeles Times.

    Ivy Insights

The Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast is an absolute gem in the world of podcasts. With its extensive collection of interviews and stories, it offers a unique and entertaining glimpse into the lives and careers of Hollywood's classic artists and stars. Gilbert Gottfried's larger-than-life personality and infectious laugh bring a sense of joy and humor to every episode. It truly is a blessing to have these stories preserved for us to enjoy.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is Gilbert's ability to take the high road when it comes to politics. Unlike his co-host Frank Santopadre, who occasionally shares his liberal views, Gilbert maintains a neutral stance and keeps the focus on the guests and their stories. This allows listeners from all backgrounds to enjoy the show without feeling overwhelmed by political opinions.

However, one downside of this podcast is that there will be no more new episodes since Gilbert's passing. While Frank may continue with the format, it won't quite be the same without Gilbert's larger-than-life presence. His wit, impressions, and infectious laughter are what made this podcast truly special, and he is dearly missed.

In conclusion, The Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast is an amazing journey through Hollywood's history. It offers a wealth of knowledge about old movies, TV shows, and comedy while providing plenty of laughs along the way. Despite its unfortunate end with Gilbert's passing, it remains a must-listen for fans of classic entertainment.
