A new guest joins the show to discuss Battlefield 3, Max Payne, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Blizzard: DOTA, and the Avengers trailer. Things go from bad to worse as Marco's deranged commentary infects Bent. Can Kevin and Trevor survive?
Nerds are angry in this long-lost episode. With Netflix spiralling out of control, Facebook becoming THE destination for streaming music, and Lucas wanking his original trilogy onto Blu-Ray, Kev and Trevor attempt to find some sanity amidst the madness.
Kev and Trevor get their argue on, trading off on taking Marvel movies down a peg or two. Kev rags on Captain America, Trevor takes on Spider-Man, and they both sound off on Ridley Scott's Alien prequel and the cancelled production of Dark Tower from producer Ron Howard. Also, Fallout DLC, indie adventure games, Twitter dick, and pizza pants.
Our resident Game of Thrones expert, Kelsey, joins us to review the show's first season. Trevor and Kevin also review Transformers 3, and Kelsey takes a stab at Bad Teacher. We also introduce a new segment, the Back 40, in which we get to ramble about whatever after the credits roll.
Now that the hysteria surrounding E3 is over, the boys take a sober second look at the news that has come out of the expo, and Trevor eats crow when they review his Wii 2 predictions. They also review this summer's two big superhero movies, X-Men: First Class and Green Lantern. In the process, they realize how yummy the X-Men are, the fact that Kelsey Grammar is a dick, the fact that Kevin can make music with his face and neither can do a Snidely Whiplash impression, and that they need more time and KelC to do a proper DLC roundtable. The boys spend an inordinate amount of time discussing the new 45 second Starcraft 2 teaser, review the Hangover: Part 2, check out ChronoTrigger, and make predictions for E3 2011. This week's ad partner: The Ottawa Fringe Festival! http://ottawafringe.com

The boys return with highly awesomer sound quality to review The Defenders and discuss the future of handheld gaming.
Kev and Trevor recap their most favouritest things from the year gone by.
While Kevin was busy with life and Trevor was in Ottawa, a little flick called Tron Legacy came out. Lesley, who writes for the site, got to play reviewer and joins Trevor on the podcast to review the crap out of Legacy.
In part two of this episode recorded just before the break, Sandy joins us live from Japan to round off HP7, discuss Community, Smallville, Miyazaki flicks, and anything else we happen to think of. Kevin proves he's actually the biggest nerd of the bunch, Sandy does Japanese Sean Connery, and Trevor continues to say "show" a lot.
In part one of a two-part episode, the boys revisit the land of magical magicfulness to rant about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Trevor decides that magic is stupid, Kevin decides that Daniel Radcliffe is part Eugene Levy, and supesharugesuto ga tÅchaku suru!
In a delightful change of pace, the boys return to their childhoods to talk about the Muppet movie. They also discuss this season of South Park, and the upcoming Team Bondi game L.A. Noire.
Beseiged on all sides by hyper-intelligent tigers and poorly constructed metaphors, Kev and Trevor must fight their way through reviews of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and The Other Guys. They bet on Duke and take a trip to the Dark Tower.
LATE. The boys drink up, talk about ComicCon, and review Inception.
What do James McAvoy, Megan Fox, and Spider-Man all have in common? There isn't a single good idea amongst them. Oh, and Trevor reviews Robin Hood.
Trevor chimes in on Spartacus, the boys take a can opener to Iron Man 2, and give early impressions of Fallout: New Vegas.
The boys settle in to rag on Apple and how it's freaking everywhere. They also discuss the new season of Spike's Deadliest Warrior, and give a quick review of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. They also run through their playlists and ask the pointed question, "what the hell is a triangle?"

In this most excellent return, Kev sacks up to see Twilight: New Moon, and Trevor loses his mind in a battle with Atari over Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Also: New Format! New Website! Awesomeness!
We're on time again! This week, we review Judd Apatow's latest comedy Funny People and the horror-slasher-flick Orphan.
Originally recorded July 20, 2009. Honestly, what is up with British television? Torchwood: Children of Earth gives us yet another reason to want Russel T. Davies to step in front of a bus. Or at least stop writing for television. Also, we wonder whether or not Prince of Persia will break the trend of shitty video game adaptations. Our thoughts: no.
Originally recorded July 20, 2009. It's all about the witches and switches as we review Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Now, what would these shag-happy young wizards use for contraceptives? Magical sheaths? Certainly not Trojans. Send us your ideas at bentcast@gmail.com or post them up on postcritical.wordpress.com.
We run amok with news from Comic-con! We talk about the Iron Man 2 panel, Avatar, and The Book of Eli. Sony Online closes the Matrix Online, but a whole bunch of MMOs are ready to take its place! Also, post-apocalyptic seems to be the name of the game in movies and games with titles like Fury Road, Borderlands, Fallen Earth, Fallout: New Vegas, and STALKER: Call of Pripyat.
Entourage returns to wow us with celebrity lifestyle stuff. Real-world celebrities Ryan Reynolds, Natalie Portman, and Kenneth Branagh get in deep with superhero movies as Trevor geeks out about the recent Green Lantern announcement. This episode was recorded a while ago and we've been slack in getting it up.
A show about bitey nekkid Southern vampires and one about a guy with a massive dong. Kev tries to vice-grip Anna Paquin's teeth together, Trevor threatens electricity and spikes on Southern accents, and we throw back to our E3 podcast to keep talking about game controllers. Is the future in Microsoft's Natal, Nintendo's Wii, or Sony's bastard lovechild of the two? Also, our listeners gave us some ideas about what to do with all those dead bears.
Transformers 2 delivers stompy robots and Bayhem, but also racism and disappointment. We also retrospectively review the GameDamage pilot and talk about this upcoming Australian series' future.
Our heroes review two new comedies this week, Year One (Jack Black and Michael Cera) and the Hangover. They also get attacked by many, many black bears. What should we do with nine dead bears? Let us know at bentcast@gmail.com, in our CBox at bentthepodcast.com or on Facebook.
We get together once again to talk about Pixar's Up and 3D in general. Trevor reviews a book in which a dude makes friends with a bear (amongst other things). Finally, we talk about Terminator: Salvation and how Sam Worthingtom totally showed up Christian Bale and Moon Bloodgood's tits showed up everyone.
In our first Skyped podcast, veteran Trekker Chris joins us to review JJ Abrams' Star Trek. We also discuss the $12M lawsuit against 3D Realms, make buttsex jokes about the new Fallout DLC Mothership Zeta, and recap what has actually been cancelled for the new TV season. Castle's back, so Trevor is happy. Be warned: this episode runs a little long.
The boys get their Trek on and review the Countdown trade paperback, arguing about writing, canon, and the next movie. We spool through the legal bananas of Sweden convicting the Pirate Bay founders, Bethesda suing Interplay over their license to the Fallout intellectual property, and YouTube partnering with movie studios to provide free streaming movies while Viacom sues the crap out of them. Visit the website at http://www.bentthepodcast.com! Email us at bentcast@gmail.com or check us out on Facebook.
What shows are going to get cancelled? Which shows are going to get renewed? And which ones are we going to bitchslap? We talk about the Sarah Conner Chronicles, Chuck, Dollhouse, Unusuals, Castle, Cold Squad/Case, and Southland. Almost like a season recap, isn't it? Also, we sample some censorship and take a look at the Chuck season finale in order to make some predictions about where it's going next season.
Kevin has become a psychic and psychically reviews the newly leaked Wolverine movie. Psychically. He didn't watch it or anything like that. Trevor goes back on his word to stop reading what rabid fans write about Star Trek XI online and discusses the studio's attempt to do too much. Finally, we watch Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw's closing speech at last year's GCAP and talk about the idea of a gaming renaissance and video games as art. Check out all the additional content at http://www.bentpinstudios.ca! You can also email Bent at bentcast@gmail.com.
This week, we get our game on and talk about Max Payne 3 and Fallout 3's DLC expansion "The Pit." Then it's on to TV with Castle, starring Nathan Fillion, ragging on BSG, and the upcoming Stargate: Universe. Finally, we round it out with a slice of movie pie and dish up a review of I Love You, Man. We're calling for audience participation: Why is Kevin a dick? Come up with something awesome and hit us at http://www.bentpinstudios.ca, on Facebook, or at bentcast@gmail.com.
This week held lots of new stuff: Iron Man casting news, new info on Vin Diesel's Riddick franchise, the South Park season 13 premiere, the end of the series The L Word, and the overuse of the phrase "suck a bag of dicks." Also, the new Joss Whedon series Dollhouse is reviewed. And Sandy draws a bag of dicks. And a bagia o' labia. It's horrific. Email us at bentcast@gmail.com or chat on the website at http://bentthepodcast.com.
Like the critical bastards they are, Kevin and Trevor went to the Watchmen midnight show on Friday and have reviewed the hell out of it. With May coming soon and bringing with it Terminator, Wolverine, and Star Trek, they discuss the new trailers for all three movies and make predictions about them. Kevin renames Malin Akerman ol' Tits-for-eyes, Trevor tells Internet hype to shove it, and both of them scream like girls. Respond to us at bentcast@gmail.com. Next time: something awesome.
In this shorter episode of Bent, Kevin and Trevor recap the Oscars and bitch about--I mean, make informed critiques of--the mistakes the Academy made this year. Trevor talks about Japanese author Haruki Murakami, they reminisce about Firefly and talk about Serenity's retroactive continuity, and talk a bit about reductionism in adapting film from literature--all the while getting excited for Watchmen. Next time: Watchmen review.
In Bent's first episode, Trevor and Kevin riff on 2006's Slither, Christopher Moore books, Ottawa-based independent cult film Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, and whether or not the Oscars matter. Next time: Firefly, Serenity, and retconning; Murakami novels; Watchmen, reductionism and film adaptations.
Launching themselves naked and unarmed into the post-apocalyptic, Kevin and Trevor review the Walking Dead premiere, Fallout: New Vegas, and talk about the upcoming Star Wars 3D rerelease.
It's FINALLY here. We FINALLY get to review James Cameron's space epic. It's been coming since we started this goddamn podcast, and we finally have some CLOSURE on it and we can move on. Jeez. Make sure to stick around during the closing music for a special appearance by a very drunk peripheral member of our cast!
In this week's episode, our heroes review Pirate Radio, TV "phenomenon" Glee, and discuss a bizarre upcoming game: Universe of Faith Online.
There were tons of games at this year's E3, and plenty of cool tech as well. Our heroes review the best and shit-worst of it. Then, we talk about cop show The Wire, and finally discuss what the not-quite-announced next Indiana Jones movie will mean for the franchise--and how to get into Harrison Ford's pants.
