The fourth film in this franchise is first and only film not starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This film was directed by McG and stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Moon Bloodgood, Anton Yelon, Helena Bohnam Carter & Michael Ironside. 15 years after the events of the previous film, the war against the machine has begun and John Connor is preparing his resistance fighters for war but things take an unexpected turn when a mysterious stranger appears with crucial information regarding the whereabouts of a teenager by the name of Kyle Reese. This film was supposed to be the first chapter in a new trilogy but this last under the production company, Halcyon Company, as they would file for bankruptcy in 2012, forgoing those plans.

The only thing worse than a bad movie is a boring movie, and this is a boring as hell movie. There is no true cohesiveness to this movie, the characters who are on the same team don't talk until the last fifteen minutes of the movie, but it turns out that they have always been in connection, but the scenes showing that connection was deleted. The male lead is a horrible actor, Moon Bloodgood is just a pretty face, Kristen Kreuk is awful, and Robin Shou is probably the best thing in this movie which is the equivalency of finding shit in a quarter. This movie is atrocious, and I am rueing the day I ever created this podcast. Enjoy. On this week's episode, the gang welcomes film critic for The Atlantic and co-host of the very funny Blank Check with Griffin & David, David Sims into the studio to chat about the dull-as-dirt, missed opportunity known as Termination Salvation! Where are all the lasers we were promised? Why do the filmmakers play the Sam-Worthington-being-a-robot stuff like it's a huge twist? Who is approving this dialogue for Common? And why didn't this film end with Kyle Reese going back in time? PLUS: Who is listening to John Connor's pirate radio podcast, Conncast?Terminator Salvation stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Helena Bonham Carter, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, and the great Michael Ironside; directed by McG.

We're into our penultimate Terminator film this week as we take a closer look at the 2009 blockbuster that is Terminator Salvation. Is this movie as bad as people say it is? Why is Christian Bale constantly yelling all the time? How did Sam Worthington pick up all these blockbuster roles and somehow have his career fail? Can we put our finger on what exactly is missing from this movie? Is McG to blame for this movie? Did Christian Bale's infamous yelling rant help or hinder this movie? Why does the PG-13 rating really not change the overall feel of the film? Would any man or woman really want to kiss Sam Worthington? Are all the characters underdeveloped? Why is Terry Crews a corpse in this film? How do humans still use machines without them killing them? How do the machines know who Kyle Reese is at this part of the timeline? Why is the little girl in this movie? Would John Connor be a good radio host? Why isn't Moon Bloodgood in more things and does she have the greatest name ever in Hollywood? How do they waste such a great twist with Marcus actually being a machine and why do any of his motives not make any sense? Why is James Cameron to blame for this movie even though he had nothing to do with it? Would Daniel Day-Lewis have been a better John Connor? Would Dr Silverman have been a better leader of the resistance than John Connor? And has this recap changed our overall view on this movie? It's another fun one that will make you YELL ALL THE WAY THROUGH! SO TUNE IN!★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

OK, campers, rise and shine! And don't forget your booties because it's cold out there today. Of course, it's cold out there every day! In fact, they're discussing Eight Below, the inspired-by-a-true-story tale of eight dogs in the Antarctic struggling to survive on their own for a few months.
