We just found out a man who thinks he's a woman was so unhinged he planned to assassinate newly confirmed Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. Guess the T's aren't really tolerant of the G's in the LGBTQ+ label. The White House has started to put out press releases to combat the fake news and hoaxes being pushed by the Left and the Legacy/mainstream media. In less than 8 days, there are already several documented hoaxes. On a positive, Trump has put an end to chemical and surgical mutilations of children. The State School Superintendent for Oklahoma is says certifying teachers will no require them to pass the same basic citizenship test we give to people who want to become American citizens. But now, the cat's out of the bag. When the Journal followed up with that Springfield woman ... she said  she  found her cat, and apologized to her neighbors for accusing them. Corinne Carey is the NYS Campaign Director for Compassion & Choices, an organization dedicated to advocating for end-of-life care and medical aid in dying. The organization recently won an award for its short video featuring Barbara Hammer, who was a feminist and experimental film director, producer, writer, and cinematographer, as well as a pioneer of the lesbian film genre. Hammer was a NYS resident who sought medical aid in dying, but she passed away of ovarian cancer with the option still not available in NYS. Corinne joins HMM hosts Alexis and Spencer to discuss the film and the New York's Medical Aid in Dying Act (AB2694 in the state assembly and SB3947 in the state senate). The bill would allow terminally ill patients who meet certain requirements to request life-ending medication as an option to die with dignity, compassion, and comfort. The bill has support from both New Yorkers and New York Doctors by a more than 2-1 margin, according to a Quinnipiac University Poll. The bill has yet to be brought to a vote. NEWARK'S EXECUTIVE PROTECTION UNIT RACKED UP MORE THAN $1M IN OVERTIME, RECORDS SHOW There are 27 Newark police officers assigned to the city's Executive Protection Unit, which provides 24-hour security for the mayor. Elana Knopp of TAPinto Newark obtained documents through an Open Public Records Act request that show those 27 officers racked up a combined total of approximately $1.12 million in overtime pay during the first eight months of 2017 alone. POLICE REPORTS CONTRADICT PROSECUTOR STATEMENT ON HIGHLAND PARK DEATH Documents released as part of a lawsuit filed against the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office (MCPO) revealed inconsistencies in the official story of a man who died last year after an encounter with Highland Park police officers. Police found Daniel Nagahama, 28, alive when they arrived on the scene, but the man died just hours after he was taken to a hospital in New Brunswick by police. Charlie Kratovil of New Brunswick Today says the documents appear to confirm that instead of reviving the man, police instead punched the man and sprayed him with a "chemical/natural agent." MAURICE 'MICKEY' CARROLL, WHO COVERED JFK ASSASSINATION AND PUSHED FOR MORRIS SCHOOL DISTRICT, DIES AT 86 Longtime journalist and Morris Township resident, Maurice "Mickey" Carroll has died at the age of 86. Carroll covered everything from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy to a range of local issues for seven different newspapers. Carroll also "taught generations of journalists at four universities and, for the last two decades, translated the Quinnipiac University Poll into plain English," writes Kevin Coughlin for Morristown Green.
