It's Monday, June 15th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus “Peace Korea” is praying for Korean church to reunify North & South From June 5-25, 48 churches and Christian groups across South Korea are joining together to pray for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to reunify North Korea and South Korea, and for imprisoned missionaries in North Korea to be released, reports International Christian Concern. Peace Korea has held 21-day prayer meetings since 2007, following Daniel's example in Daniel 10 when he dedicated three weeks to pray for his people. The organizer told Christian Daily Korea, “I hope … that the Korean Peninsula will become one in the Gospel.” The theme of the 20th Peace Prayer Assembly is drawn from Isaiah 43:19. In that prophetic book, God declared, “Behold, I am doing a new thing.” Peace Korea published the “Peace Prayer Book” which includes messages from pastors, stories about Christian martyrs, and prayers that meditate on the new works God is doing. Tulsi Gabbard: “There are 120 US -funded bio labs in 30 countries” Outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released declassified information on Friday revealing that U.S. taxpayers have funded 120  biological labs in 30 foreign countries, reports The New York Post. Listen. GABBARD: “After months of searching through intelligence community holdings and files, today I'm releasing new evidence of longstanding U.S. government funding of more than 120 bio labs in over 30 countries. “Now, these bio labs include labs in places like Ukraine, which could be at risk of compromise due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War. In fact, the intelligence community had previously warned that a US-funded bio lab in Ukraine likely housed dangerous pathogens and remained vulnerable to longstanding threats of Russian attack, seizure, or damage. “Now, until now, evidence regarding the full existence and funding of these laboratories had been knowingly withheld from you, the American people. Many of these U.S. government-funded bio labs are currently or have previously engaged in research using hazardous and highly contagious pathogens, and, in some cases, included dangerous gain-of-function research with very little visibility or oversight.” The Director of National Intelligence also explained what President Trump has done to mitigate the danger and how Biden administration officials, like Dr. Anthony Fauci, “lied” about their existence. GABBARD: “Now, President Trump clearly understands the serious threat dangerous gain-of-function research poses to the American people. And this is why he took decisive action over a year ago. On May 25. 2025, he signed an executive order to end federal funding of gain-of-function research around the world. “Now, despite the obvious potential for catastrophic global impact that research on dangerous pathogens and bio labs can have, politicians and so-called health professionals, like Dr. [Anthony] Fauci, as well as entities within the Biden administration's national security team, lied repeatedly to the American people about the existence of US-funded and supported bio labs. Very powerful people falsely claimed that these bio labs didn't exist.” Gabbard has sought transparency as part of an effort to eliminate possibly dangerous experiments with pathogens that have the potential to explode into pandemics. Tulsi Gabbard's last day is June 30th as she will be caring for her sick husband of 11 years, Abraham Williams, who has been stricken with a rare bone cancer affecting the base of his spine. United States now world's largest oil exporter The United States has officially become the world's largest oil exporter, an historic milestone that underscores America's growing energy dominance, reports Big League Politics. The U.S. exported 10.5 million barrels of crude oil and refined petroleum products per day in May, surpassing both Russia and Saudi Arabia for the third consecutive month. By contrast, Russia exported roughly 7 million barrels per day, while Saudi Arabia shipped about 6 million barrels daily. Spencer Pratt ready to drop bombshell in L.A. Mayoral race Former Republican Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt posted a video last Friday acknowledging his campaign is now over, but promised to release compromising recordings or perhaps video footage that will cause Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and/or Councilwoman Nithya Raman to “resign in shame,” reports The Western Journal. Bass, a Democrat, and Raman, a Democratic socialist, were the top two finishers in the Los Angeles mayoral primary. So, those two will advance to November's general election. Raman mysteriously overcame nearly a double-digit election night deficit to Pratt to be declared the second place winner earlier last week after mail-in ballots broke strongly in her favor, over both Bass and Pratt. As The Worldview previously reported last Friday, U.S. General Bill Essayli is looking into possible voter fraud, related to the disproportionate registrations of the homeless that far exceeds the actual homeless population. On June 12th, Pratt posted a fiery video on social media teasing his plans for "Phase III" of his effort to clean up the city, reports Fox News. PRATT: “I didn't get in this for political power. I got in this to expose this corrupt machine. And nothing has changed. Angelinos are now stuck with two morons responsible for all their problems. And they have to choose between dumb and dumber.” Pratt laid out the problems of Los Angeles. PRATT: “Now, every problem that plagues Los Angeles, because of these two corrupt communists, is going to accelerate, and the city will tumble headlong into the abyss. “You have no idea how many major developers, hoteliers, business owners, entrepreneurs have been texting me, saying they're packing up and leaving town. More of your favorite restaurants will be shuttering. That means less tax revenue. “That means the city has to cut services: more potholes, less firefighters, less police patrols, more criminals, more drug addicts terrorizing your communities. You have no idea how bad things are about to get for this city. “Look at this place already: weeds growing from every crack and crevice, graffiti over every square inch of public space, garbage, drugs, feces, burned-up dogs, burned-out towns, abandoned storefronts. This city is a mess, and you're about to reward the arsonist who torched the place with four more years of destruction.” And Spencer Pratt teased information he has that could force one or both  candidates to resign. PRATT: “We have some recordings of one of your exalted candidates doing and saying something that would make her resign in shame. I was saving it for the general election. Go ahead and pick your demon. Certify your choice, and then you get to see it. So, Karen, Nithya, ask yourself, ‘Is it possible that one of your employees may have a recording of you doing or saying something that would force you to resign in disgrace?'” King John of England signed Magna Carta in 1215 And finally, 811 years ago, on June 15, 1215, King John of England signed the Magna Carta, which began, “The Church of England shall be free.” It was first drafted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Stephen Langton, to make peace between the unpopular king and a group of rebel barons who demanded that the King confirm the Charter of Liberties. The Magna Carta promised the protection of church rights, protection for the barons from illegal imprisonment, access to swift and impartial justice, and limitations on feudal payments to the Crown. Proverbs 17:26 says, “To punish the just is not good.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, June 15th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Episode 113 opens with Ghost's "cyclone" theory in full motion: Trump occupies both sides of the Iran narrative at once, threatening to bomb Tehran while announcing a deal is two or three days away. Ghost breaks down the Apache helicopter incident, Trump telling the Wall Street Journal it "wasn't a big deal," and the Oval Office gaggle where Trump casually reveals he has been working directly with Iran for months. Trump questions whether Netanyahu should even run for reelection while Netanyahu's own cabinet discusses fighting Iran alone in total isolation. The Strait of Hormuz bombshell follows: Trump claims the US secretly moved oil through it for months without Iran knowing, and a congressional hearing exposes the contradictions. Then comes the deal itself: 49 Tomahawks, a leaked 14-point memorandum, and Trump's furious denial of the leaked terms. Mark Levin spirals from celebrating bombing to demanding the text of the deal, while Israel confirms it is not party to the agreement. Erdogan and Netanyahu trade threats, and Ghost maps a possible Greece-Israel-Ukraine alliance against Turkey. The episode closes with Tulsi Gabbard's declassification of 120 US-funded bio labs across 30 countries.

Chris and Matt break down a packed few weeks in intelligence and geopolitics, opening with the resignation of Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence — a departure framed officially around her husband's illness but widely read as an exit under pressure. Drawing on a Bulwark piece by former CIA officer John Sipher, they examine whether the ODNI was ever structurally sound enough to survive a politicized occupant, and what Gabbard's tenure — from her reversal on the IC's Iran nuclear assessment to her exclusion from senior meetings — reveals about what this administration actually wants from intelligence. From there, the episode turns to the Trump-Xi summit in Beijing, where the photo-op framing papered over a sharper story: divergent definitions of "constructive strategic stability," a $14 billion arms package for Taiwan left unsigned, and a delegation of American CEOs carrying hat-in-hand business pitches to Washington's principal strategic adversary. They also examine a New York Times investigation into Chinese intelligence's recruitment attempt of a House committee staffer — a case that doubled as a window into Beijing's priorities in the weeks before the summit. Finally, an investigation into Russia's covert cyber warfare training program at a university near Moscow, and a Telegraph profile of Oleg Gordievsky's quiet final years in rural Surrey — including a regular table at a restaurant Chris knows all too well.Subscribe and share to stay ahead in the world of intelligence, global issues, and current affairs. Please share this episode using these linksAudio: https://pod.fo/e/422c3bYouTube: https://youtu.be/DP0ha6QQ394Support Secrets and SpiesBecome a “Friend of the Podcast” on Patreon for £3/$4: https://www.patreon.com/SecretsAndSpiesBuy merchandise from our Redbubble shop: https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/60934996Buy us a coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/secretsandspiesSubscribe to our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDVB23lrHr3KFeXq4VU36dgFor more information about the podcast, check out our website: https://secretsandspiespodcast.comArticles discussed in today's episode "Tulsi Gabbard's Office Shouldn't Exist" by John Sipher | The Bulwark: https://www.thebulwark.com/p/tulsi-gabbard-office-shouldnt-exist-director-national-intelligence-9-11"Tulsi Gabbard's resistance to foreign wars amid Trump's aggression was her undoing" by Mohamad Bazzi | The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/may/24/tulsi-gabbard-foreign-wars-trump"Tulsi Gabbard is showing why her job shouldn't exist" by David Ignatius | The Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/02/05/tulsi-gabbard-trump-dni-intelligence-agency/"China and the U.S. Agreed to ‘Strategic Stability' in Beijing. Ralph speaks to independent investigative journalist Lylla Younes to discuss her reporting on Israel's assault on southern Lebanon. Then, Ralph and media studies professor Robin Andersen discuss her new book "The Complicit Lens: US Media Coverage of the Genocide in Gaza."Lylla Younes is a Beirut-based journalist. She is an editor at The Public Source, and a frequent contributor to Drop Site News. What we've seen in the past several days is really an escalation of what's been happening since March 2nd (when the US-Israeli assault on Iran took off) and then obviously the ceasefire… What we see is a campaign of ethnic cleansing from the Israeli military in Lebanon. And that has looked like the Gaza playbook sped up, you could say, in southern Lebanon. It's looked like invading and bulldozing homes; tearing up roads; destroying, booby-trapping, and detonating entire villages and cultural sites. It's looked like targeting medical personnel—killing, at this point, over 100 since March 2nd (this is in addition to the 130 or so who were killed in the last round of fighting in 2024). In addition to that, the targeting and killing of journalists who are reporting near the border. I think it's important to note there's practically no one left in the border region. Having a press vest on and a microphone and a camera is basically like having a target on your back at this point.Lylla YounesThe pager attack was, I think it's fair to say, one of the darker days of Lebanese history. I think regardless of people's feelings about Hezbollah, the fact that you are setting men alight literally in the streets in cities all across the country, killing children, maiming children—the mark of the pager attack was that these pagers that Hezbollah members were carrying exploded in their faces and blinded them. So you have thousands of blinded people, people missing fingers. And again, some of these are relatives of Hezbollah members. It was a massive event that overwhelmed hospitals across the country. And it also marked the beginning of that 66 day [period] of escalated fighting. And it showed how deeply infiltrated Hezbollah was in an intelligence capacity. This was quite a feat by the Israeli Mossad.Lylla YounesRobin Andersen is professor emerita of media studies at Fordham University and an award-winning author of a dozen single- and co-authored books. She serves as a Project Censored Judge, and contributes to the annual State of the Free Press. She is on the Board of Directors of Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR), where she also writes regularly, and is an Izzy Award Judge for the Park Center for Independent Media. Her latest book is The Complicit Lens: US Media Coverage of Israel's Genocide in Gaza.In my book, I look at the directives of the New York Times and CNN, and then I compare it to media coverage. And I found that, in fact, these were the ways [the directives that were passed down] in which the media was presenting the genocide in Gaza…But in terms of the Israeli directives, CNN was putting their copy through their Jerusalem bureau and the IDF was looking at it. The New York Times was simply going along with Israeli talking points. So we did find that. And the real telling part was when they finally did say that Israel dropped the bomb, it was only when Israel had admitted—or put their propaganda to the next level, which was to claim that they had killed a Hamas commander or a fighter or somebody involved in Hamas. And we found that also in the BBC. So those were direct things that came from Israel. And abandoning their journalistic mission, the US media was basically following the dictates of a foreign government.Robin AndersenTheir form of censorship was basically murder. They knew that as the genocide wore on (and Israel controlled the narrative for a very long time, and then it started to collapse) as over time we saw on the internet, we saw on our handheld devices the documentation of what was happening [they'd lose control of the narrative]. And so in a total propaganda environment, what we have to have is no noise, no opposition, no alternative information. And Israel really was trying to achieve a total propaganda environment. It wasn't enough that they had establishment in legacy media and those media were allowing outside influences to direct their editorial decisions. That wasn't quite enough.Robin AndersenNews 5/29/26* This week, Democratic Socialist Mayor of New York City Zohran Mamdani unveiled his plan to construct 200,000 new rent-stabilized homes in the city over the next decade, PIX 11 reports, making good on a campaign promise that many supposedly savvy political observers doubted. In addition to the new construction, Mamdani vowed to “preserve and stabilize” an additional 200,000 via New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) repairs, increased housing code enforcement, and a special focus on development in the Bronx. In his announcement, Mamdani said “We are the largest city in the nation. We have the resources, the talent, and the will to achieve this.”* In the federal government, one of the most controversial members of the Trump administration – former Democratic Congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard – has resigned her position as Director of National Intelligence (DNI). The BBC reports Gabbard is citing her husband's recent bone cancer diagnosis as the reason for her departure, but also notes that Gabbard “has largely been out of public view even as the US took military action against Iran, put pressure on Cuba, and…removed Venezuela's president.” In theory, these would all require a substantial degree of participation from and coordination with the DNI, but Gabbard seemed pointedly out of the loop. The actions of the administration have also been diametrically opposed to Gabbard's past foreign policy positions, defined by her 2020 slogan “no more regime change wars.” Others have noted that Gabbard now joins former Attorney General Pam Bondi, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem as high-profile women ousted from the Trump administration while glaringly incompetent men like Pete Hegseth remain in their posts.* Turning to Texas, this week saw a political bloodbath in the runoffs for the primaries held back in March. The topline of course is that scandal-plagued Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, backed by Trump, triumphed over powerful longtime incumbent Senator John Cornyn. With the backing of the president, Paxton wiped the floor with Cornyn, winning around two-thirds of the vote. Yet Paxton goes into the general election against James Talarico very weak. 35% of those polled “Disapprove Strongly” of Paxton with only 15% saying they “Strongly Approve” according to the Texas Politics Project and even the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) condemned Paxton's “lies” “incompetence” personal scandals and corruption in now-deleted press releases. Further down the ballot, incumbent Democratic Members of Congress Al Green and Julie Johnson have been defeated in their primary run-offs, after being forced into Member-on-Member races by the Texas redistricting scheme.* Meanwhile in Michigan, NOTUS reports the Working Families Party (WFP) has endorsed progressive Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed. This primary campaign, with El-Sayed running against moderate Congresswoman Haley Stevens and liberal state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, has become a bruising tripartite affair pitting the three major factions within the Democratic Party against one another. Recently, El-Sayed has taken the lead in this race, which WFP hopes to help consolidate, saying it is prepared to go “all in” on this race. WFP is feeling confident following their role in helping to ensure victory for Chris Rabb in Pennsylvania and Analilia Mejia in New Jersey.* In the Garden State, Senator Andy Kim was caught in a cloud of pepper spray this week as he joined protestors outside of a privately-run ICE detention facility, NJ.com reports. The protests began as a result of an ongoing hunger strike inside of the facility, which has led many high-profile New Jersey Democrats – including Governor Mikie Sherill and Congressman Robert Menendez Jr. in addition to Senator Kim – to call for the facility's closure. Following the confrontation, Kim stated that “What we saw here is unfortunately just what we see all over the country…It's sad…sad day.” At another point, Kim said “The cruelty that you see behind me, this is the point…Right now, I'm trying to have them not point guns at us.”* In another case of outrageous overreach by the Trump administration, Fox reports the Treasury Department has served subpoenas to CodePink activist Medea Benjamin and political streamer and influencer Hasan Piker seeking “financial, logistical and communications information” regarding their recent humanitarian voyage to Cuba. According to this story, the Treasury probe – handled through their Office of Foreign Assets Control – is primarily concerned with whether the convoy “violated U.S. sanctions laws through the financing, coordination or delivery of goods to Cuba, including potential contacts with Cuban government personnel or entities on the island.” The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has condemned the probe, writing that “Weaponizing the Treasury Department to target Americans for exercising their constitutional right to support human rights is unacceptable.” CAIR went on to call the investigation “performative and politically-motivated,” contending that “Every American who believes in the rule of law and human rights should stand in solidarity with Medea and demand that the Treasury Department drop its McCarthyite witch hunt.”* The Democrats meanwhile are once again conspiring against one another. The Bulwark reports the campaign to unseat Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin is back on – and now includes viable alternatives. Previously, discontent was mounting but there did not appear to be any other options. Presently though, the list circulating in Democratic circles consists of New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, former EMILY's List president Stephanie Schriock, former president of the Service Employees International Union Mary Kay Henry, former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro, former chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes, and former Wisconsin party chair Ben Wikler. Wikler, who revitalized the Beaver State party and placed second against Martin in the DNC Chair election, has “rebuffed discussions about leading the DNC, saying he wants nothing to do with effort to remove Martin and isn't interested in replacing him.” Yet even with no obvious alternative, calls are mounting for Martin to step aside. This piece cites statements by progressive Wisconsin Rep. Mark Pocan, as well as a new initiative by the Progressive Change Campaign Committee on one side, alongside statements by more moderate Reps. Marc Veasey and Seth Moulton to the same effect. Still, many state parties and an equally ideologically diverse coalition is standing by Martin, so he will likely remain in place, at least for the time being.* Looking southward, this week Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that her country will host the Iranian team ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Per Al Jazeera, the United States, which is hosting many of the matches, including all three the Iranian team was scheduled to play in, expressed that they did not think it “appropriate” for Iranian team members to be in the country, “for their own life and safety.” FIFA approached Mexico as an alternative. In her daily press conference, Sheinbaum stated that “We have no reason to deny them the possibility of staying in Mexico.” The Iranian team has also announced they will be moving their training base from Tucson to Tijuana, but still plan to enter the United States to play their games – with Trump saying they will be “welcome,” despite the fact American authorities have yet to issue the necessary visas.* Our final two stories involve the Pope. First, AP reports that this week Pope Leo XIV made an historic apology not only for the Catholic Church's role in legitimizing slavery, but its failure to condemn the practice for centuries afterwards. Pope Leo called this a “wound in Christian memory.” Leo, the first American Pope, can point to both enslaved people and slave owners in his familial lineage, a remarkable vantage point from which to issue this statement in his first ever encyclical ”Magnifica Humanitas.”* Yet, for how historic this section of the encyclical is, it is not the portion of it that drew the most attention. That would be the section on Artificial Intelligence. Pope Leo writes “Humanity, created by God in all its grandeur, is today facing a pivotal choice: either to construct a new Tower of Babel or to build the city in which God and humanity dwell together.” Leo goes on to make the critical point that “technology is never neutral, because it takes on the characteristics of those who devise, finance, regulate, and use it.” He further goes on to state that “the pressure of new ideologies or certain highly powerful interests” can reduce the human person to “a resource to be used and exploited” or evaluated “on what they achieve or produce,” whereas God creates each individual person in His image and imbues them with inherent dignity. It is impossible to say whether the Pontiff's words will move the titans of the tech industry to change their ways, but his moving rhetoric is sure to significantly influence the world's view of AI, both today and for students of history. This has been Francesco DeSantis, with In Case You Haven't Heard. Stay connected with us at americangroundradio.com, on Facebook, and Instagram. You're listening to American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr. This is the full show for May 26, 2026. We open with New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani's plan to seize properties from so-called negligent landlords and transfer them to tenant or community ownership — and we explain exactly why this is not a housing policy, it's a blueprint for ending private ownership in New York City. We walk through the deliberately manufactured cycle — impose rent controls that make maintenance financially impossible, wait for the slumlords those rent controls created to fall behind on upkeep, then seize the properties they could no longer afford to maintain — and explain why this is not a bug in the socialist playbook, it is the feature. In our Top 3, U.S. and Iran negotiations continue as American forces struck Iranian boats laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran fired missiles at U.S. ships, those missiles were shot down, and the U.S. destroyed the launchers. President Trump says progress is being made and suggests the end state should include all Arab nations joining the Abraham Accords. Then Texas voters headed to the polls for the Republican Senate runoff between incumbent John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton — with Trump backing Paxton but Paxton carrying the baggage of an impeachment, an acquittal, and his wife filing for divorce citing biblical reasons in the middle of the campaign. And a federal three-judge panel blocked Alabama from using its current congressional map — creating a collision between the 2023 Supreme Court ruling that required a minority-majority district and last month's ruling that struck down racial gerrymandering as unconstitutional. Our American Mamas Terry Netterville and Kimberly Burleson tackle why there are no good teen TV shows anymore — which leads directly into a conversation about Euphoria, the Sidney Sweeney show that markets itself to teenagers while featuring content that is essentially soft-core pornography. We talk about whether Sweeney will one day regret the roles she accepted, whether the show's director is deliberately using her to make a political statement, and how decades of progressive cultural influence in Hollywood have normalized things on screen that no parent would allow in their home. In our Digging Deep segment, we push back on the left's Memorial Day weekend obsession with George Floyd — and use the data to make the case that the income inequality, incarceration disparity, and educational gap the left attributes to institutional racism are explained far more powerfully by a single variable that has nothing to do with race. We lay out median income, two-parent household rates, high school graduation rates, and incarceration rates broken down by race — Asian, white, Hispanic, and black — and show that the rankings are identical across every single category. The highest-earning, lowest-incarcerated, highest-graduating group in America is also the group most likely to be raised in a two-parent home. We call it what the data actually shows — two-parent privilege. And we make the case that no amount of government spending or racial grievance politics will fix an outcome problem that is actually a family structure problem. We also cover Trump's perfect annual physical exam — and note with some sadness that there are people in this country actively rooting for him to have failed it. We contrast that with how those on the right responded to Joe Biden's declining health — not with celebration, but with concern for the country. For our Bright Spot, a Gold Star widow named Cheryl Ann Shaw posted on social media asking if anyone visiting Arlington Cemetery over Memorial Day weekend would take a fresh photo of her husband's grave — Staff Sergeant Alan W. Shaw, killed in Iraq in 2007. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard — who is stepping down from her position to care for her husband who is battling a rare form of cancer — saw the post, drove to Arlington, placed a coin on Sergeant Shaw's grave, and posted the photo herself. She didn't have to. She did anyway. Mrs. Shaw responded that seeing Gabbard standing there brought her to tears — and thanked her for saying his name and reminding her there are still people in this country who have not forgotten the cost of freedom. We also note that even after losing their entire military infrastructure, Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khomeini is still posting death to America and death to Israel on social media. And we close with off-duty FDNY firefighter Travis Langan, who saw a woman trapped in a flooding Tesla on Jackie Robinson Parkway during flash floods in New York City, jumped on the roof, and pounded through the sunroof with his bare hands until he could pull her out. She said God sent her an angel. May your pursuit of happiness bring you joy. CannCon and Zak Paine open a packed Memorial Day Monday with a salute to fallen brothers and a show full of enormous developments. Trump skips Don Junior's wedding to stay at the White House, and instead of an Iran strike, he announces a broad peace memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain. Israel is conspicuously absent from the signatory list and receives only a separate phone call. The neocon wing explodes: Cruz, Graham, Pompeo, and Levin all melt down publicly, and White House spokesman Stephen Chung tells Pompeo on the record that he has no idea what he is talking about and should shut his mouth. Tulsi Gabbard resigns as DNI after her husband Abraham is diagnosed with a rare and fast-moving bone cancer. CannCon and Zak flag that her replacement is a 20-year CIA officer, arriving exactly as the CIA-versus-DNI battle reaches its peak. Catherine Herridge confirms the CIA was tracking every keystroke of Gabbard's DIG team, with an IT work order proving someone requested the surveillance deliberately. Republican senators screamed at Todd Blanche in a closed door meeting over the $1.776 billion anti-weaponization fund. J6 convictions are vacated. A federal judge dismisses human smuggling charges against Abrego Garcia calling them vindictive prosecution.

Christian families in WA state are free to serve as foster parents; Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, resigns; MS NOW panel claims SC blacks to be ‘disenfranchised’ by GOP

It's Monday, May 25th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Christian families in WA state are free to serve as foster parents To settle a lawsuit brought by a Washington state couple, state officials agreed to a permanent injunction allowing Christian families to serve as foster parents without promoting so-called “gender ideology,” reports Alliance Defending Freedom. Washington's Department of Children, Youth, and Families has agreed to settle a lawsuit over its policies excluding religious families. The state had enacted a new policy requiring all families to use a child's chosen pronouns, don't you know. The state then declined to issue Shane and Jennifer DeGross a full license under this policy because of the couple's Christian objections to socially “transitioning” children that may be placed in their care, between the ages of 2 and 18. Jennifer DeGross said this on Fox News. JENNIFER DEGROSS: “In 2022, we were going through our relicensing process and realized that the state had updated some of their rules regarding foster parents. One of those rules was requiring us to adhere to their ideology regarding gender identity and while we said that we would love and care for any child in our home, those were requirements we just could not abide by as Christians.” In Matthew 19:4, Jesus said, “Surely, you have read in the Scriptures: When God made the world, 'He made them male and female.” Johannes Delphonse, an attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom, said, “Washington's policy failed to respect religious diversity because it singled out applicants with traditional religious beliefs on the sanctity of the human body.  The DeGrosses merely asked to be treated the same as any other family—without being asked to compromise their core beliefs. “This is a win-win because it will ensure more families can serve as foster parents to help meet the needs of every precious child in Washington's foster-care system.” Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, resigns Tulsi Gabbard is resigning from her post as Director of National Intelligence to support her husband, Abraham, through his battle with "an extremely rare form of bone cancer," reports Fox News. She said, “I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.” Gabbard notified President Donald Trump during a meeting in the Oval Office this past Friday. Her last day is expected to be June 30. In her formal resignation letter, Gabbard says she is "deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for the last year and a half." During her tenure, Gabbard became one of the most controversial and transformative intelligence leaders in recent memory. She spearheaded efforts to reduce the size of the intelligence community bureaucracy, dismantle diversity and equity programs inside federal intelligence agencies, and declassify hundreds of thousands of pages of government records tied to major historical and political investigations. Among the most significant disclosures were records connected to the Trump-Russia investigation, the JFK and RFK assassinations, and the origins of the Crossfire Hurricane probe. MS NOW panel claims SC blacks to be 'disenfranchised' by GOP And finally, MS NOW host Chris Jansing presided over a discussion of GOP efforts to redraw South Carolina's congressional districts in which her Democrat guests claimed that blacks are being "disenfranchised" in South Carolina, reports Newsbusters.org. She offered this melodramatic introduction in her interview with South Carolina State Rep. Kambrell Garvin, a black Democrat. JANSING: “Today, a dramatic warning about voting rights from one North Carolina state senator who told Politico the entire South is on fire. Jim Clyburn accuses Republicans of creating Jim Crow 2.0. Is he right?” GARVIN: “Absolutely, Chris. It's starting to feel more like 1966 and not 2026. So, you're talking about over a 100-year period where black folks in South Carolina did not get a chance to have a voice, did not get a chance to have a seat at the table. And now we are facing a situation where it might be another 100 years where African Americans will not be able to have a voice.” Laughably, neither Chris Jansing nor Rep. Garvin remembered to point out that South Carolinians have elected and re-elected Tim Scott, a Republican black man, as one of their two United States Senators. Democratic strategist Julie Roginsky was equally blind in her condemnation of South Carolinian voters. ROGINSKY: “You are now about to see complete eradication of black power in Congress. It is precisely because of these kinds of places. White voters will not vote for black representatives. I call it racism, but the reality is the reality, which is that we are going to have many, many, many fewer representatives of color.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, May 25th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Chuck Todd opens with a brutal verdict on the emerging Iran "deal": it's just a worse version of the Obama agreement Trump once tore up, Iran has effectively avoided every stated goal Trump and Israel set out to achieve, and Tehran retains control of the Strait of Hormuz — meaning this is unambiguously a loss for the United States, no matter how the administration tries to spin it. He argues Trump bit off far more than he could chew, that Bibi Netanyahu put his faith into Donald Trump (which never ends well), and that America's standing has been diminished in ways that will reverberate for years. Iran's regime won't be able to repress its own people forever, He notes, but the window to actually topple it during the protests was missed — and Gulf state allies will now be dealing with the Iranians for much longer than they bargained for, having quietly hoped the U.S. and Israel would do their dirty work for them. The political damage at home is just as severe. He cites the Wall Street Journal christening the past seven days as "the week that broke Trump's hold on Congress," with the president now underwater on every single issue, consumer confidence unlikely to recover before the midterms, the Senate unable to fund DHS through reconciliation because Trump makes bipartisan solutions impossible, and his January 6th slush fund producing a backlash that won't go away — with Republican senators visibly wavering. Chuck's verdict on the lame duck arriving early: this is a failed first two years of the Trump presidency, and the stronger his grip on the party, the weaker that party becomes in general elections. He blasts Todd Blanche for turning the DOJ into Trump's personal legal team (Blanche should be impeached, Todd argues, and nothing coming out of this DOJ can be trusted), tears into the long-awaited DNC autopsy of the 2024 loss as paralyzed, tone-deaf, and poorly thought-out — naming Ken Martin as the wrong person to lead the DNC and noting that the simple truth Democrats can't bring themselves to face is that the party is perceived as too liberal in a country with more conservatives than progressives. He flags Mike Duggan dropping out of the Michigan governor's race after his hoped-for contentious Democratic primary never materialized, and Tulsi Gabbard's resignation as DNI proving that the position itself was never really necessary Then, former Marine sniper AJ Pasciuti — author of the new book Dark Horse and host of the Combat Story podcast — joins the Chuck Toddcast for one of the most riveting and clear-eyed conversations about military service, leadership, and the realities of modern war. Pasciuti was 16 years old on September 11th, enlisted at 17, and eventually became the Marine who led the team that killed "Juba" — the notorious Iraqi sniper who uploaded videos of his American kills to the internet to taunt the U.S. military. He walks listeners through the entire hunt: how Marines studied Juba's uploaded footage to identify his patterns, how the team set a trap, how Pasciuti spotted Juba in his hide by catching the glint off the lens of a Sony Handycam, and how he knew within minutes that they'd gotten him — while emphasizing that he may have pulled the trigger but it was an entire team that brought Juba down. Pasciuti reflects on the strange experience of fighting enemies who saw themselves as freedom fighters rather than terrorists, why attention to detail is the trait that weeds out most sniper candidates, and how snipers are ultimately meant to combat the enemy emotionally as much as physically. The conversation broadens into a sweeping meditation on what military service teaches you about America — and where Pasciuti worries the country is heading. He calls the military one of the last bastions of the American dream, where opportunity is real but has to be earned, and argues that a culture promoting service to the greater good over the accumulation of wealth would make America measurably healthier.. Pasciuti is openly worried about political leadership infecting the values of the military, makes the case that empathy must be viewed as a strength rather than a weakness in military leadership, and insists his book is political but not partisan — it's about values. He offers a vital warning that the Taliban proved asymmetrical warfare can defeat a stronger foe, that drone warfare is dangerously dehumanizing combat by reducing casualties to dollars and cents, and that the most important thing any soldier carries home is their soul intact — something he says becomes harder every year as the social contract between America and its veterans erodes. Pasciuti describes seeing fear rather than hatred in the eyes of a dying enemy combatant, a moment that has stayed with him, and explains why he can't support any politician who describes a political opponent as an enemy. He shares his experience running for city council and personally knocking on thousands of doors, his frustration with the financial barriers to entry in modern politics, and his belief that current discourse simply doesn't allow for real dialogue. He closes with the most powerful observation of the episode, made for Memorial Day: the holiday isn't about those who came home — it's about those who didn't — and anyone calling for war should be required to first sit down and have a conversation with a Gold Star family. Finally, Chuck hops into the ToddCast Time Machine for a thoughtful Memorial Day reflection on how countries honor their war dead — and how the rituals they choose reveal who they understand themselves to be. He traces Memorial Day back to its actual origins in the Civil War and its 600,000 American dead, including the powerful and often-forgotten story of formerly enslaved people who reburied Union soldiers from a mass grave to give them the dignified resting place their country had failed to provide. He explains that the date was chosen not because of a specific battle but because of when flowers bloom, that Southern states kept parallel remembrance traditions for the Confederacy, and that Memorial Day's secondary role as the unofficial start of summer has always made it a uniquely American hybrid of grief and gathering — which, Chuck argues, is actually one of its virtues, because coming together is how communities find common ground. He surveys how other nations approach the same task: WWI created a uniquely Canadian identity around remembrance, Russia centers its V-Day celebrations on WWII triumph as the foundation of national identity, Germany approaches its war dead cautiously and somberly with a deep awareness of historical responsibility, and Japan frames remembrance through loss, peace, and explicit anti-war reflection. His larger argument is that the story and tone of a country's remembrance day reveals exactly how it understands itself — what it celebrates, what it confronts, and what it would rather not look at. He closes with the smallest but most important reminder of the day: you don't say "Happy Memorial Day." He also answers listeners’ questions in the “Ask Chuck” segment. Cuba's Castro Charged with Murder. Here Comes the Next Regime Change War. Panel Approves Trump's Stupid Arch. GOP Revolt Over Slush Fund for Domestic Terrorists. Indy Bennett Makes Ballot in Maine. Until Next Time, Stephen Colbert.  It's Memorial Day weekend, and Paul Rieckhoff is in no mood to soft-pedal. Tulsi Gabbard has resigned as Director of National Intelligence — the second Trump appointee to defect over Iran in months — and the administration is already telegraphing its next war. The Justice Department just charged Raul Castro with murder. The USS Nimitz arrived in the Caribbean the same day. Stephen Miller is on Fox doing the warm-up act. Meanwhile, the president is downplaying the 13 American service members killed in Iran, pausing a $14 billion arms sale to Taiwan, ignoring Ukraine, and telling a Coast Guard Academy audience he won't be leaving in 2028. This is a solo briefing for the angry middle, delivered with the urgency the moment demands. Paul walks through the GOP mutiny finally pushing back on Trump's $1.8 billion slush fund for January 6th insurrectionists, the three-plan scheme to disrupt the 2026 midterms, and the independent veterans — from Rick Bennett in Maine to Karen Matthews in California — fighting brutal ballot-access barriers to give the 45% of Americans without a party a real choice. He closes with a Memorial Day reflection on TAPS, the Good Grief camps, and a tribute to Stephen Colbert as a true patriot and conscience for America. Alex breaks down the surprising resignation of Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence — officially over her husband's cancer diagnosis, but amid growing tensions with Donald Trump over Iran and military intervention. The episode explores how Gabbard, an anti-interventionist outsider, became increasingly sidelined inside an administration that openly dismissed her intelligence assessments, including Trump's blunt response to her claim that Iran “is not building a nuclear weapon”: “I don't care what she said.” Along the way, Alex examines the politicization of the intelligence community, the irony of Gabbard's role in Venezuela policy, and what her tenure reveals about the fragility of America's post-9/11 intelligence system.

Nothing is ever what it seems in Washington. There is always an angle and another motive behind the obvious. "The Deep State" is not responsible for the seizing of documents from Tulsi Gabbard's office, I believe the CIA did it with approval from the highest levels of the White House. And though it may not be what you want to hear, they had good reason to do it. After a CIA whistleblower revealed agents allegedly removed 40 boxes of material from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard tied to the JFK files and the CIA’s infamous MK Ultra mind control program, the story gets darker by the minute. This is not about rogue actors inside the CIA. It's about creating plausible deniability for the Trump administration and the Intel community. The CIA convinced the White House that the promised disclosures should never happen. “The files are missing.” “The records were compromised.” “The agency can’t locate them.” Convenient answers to keep the American people in the dark yet again, because the secrets about how to conduct Psy-ops were to important to release to the public. Some techniques need to remain secret to preserve tactical advantage against the enemy. The same whistleblower also claims Dr. Anthony Fauci played a central role in suppressing the truth about Covid origins, raising even more questions about the network of intelligence officials, bureaucrats, public health leaders, and unelected power brokers operating behind the scenes. I believe the CIA whistleblower got approval to come forward and bust Dr. Fauci. I also believe his drop about the Gabbard files was by design. He's a CIA agent remember. Today connect the dots between JFK, MK Ultra, Covid, and the permanent Washington machine that survives no matter who wins elections.

Episode 105 opens with a deep dive into the DOJ's sweeping indictment of 30 people tied to a decade-long insider trading scheme operating through elite M&A law firms including Latham and Watkins and Goodwin Proctor. Ghost connects the indicted network to Trump's executive orders forcing those same firms into $600M of free pro bono work, suggesting Trump had leverage over them long before the arrests. One of the indicted traders, David Brotslovsky, gave a 2013 speech to Jewish business leaders about communal unity the same year the scheme allegedly launched. Ghost also covers Tulsi Gabbard's DNI investigation into intelligence agencies suppressing evidence of Chinese and Venezuelan 2020 election interference, the FBI raid on Virginia senate president Louise Lucas's office, and the DOJ probe of a Fairfax County prosecutor for shielding violent offenders. Trump's new counterterrorism strategy targeting cartels and hemispheric threats gets unpacked alongside the US review of all 53 Mexican consulates. The episode closes with the Iran ceasefire holding in name only, the USS Gerald Ford quietly departing the Middle East, and the EU moving toward sanctions on Israeli West Bank settlements.

On this, our 324th Evolutionary Lens livestream, we discuss the 2028 presidential election, and bees, plants, and electrons. First: Kamala Harris is currently the front-runner for the Democratic nominee in 2028. Given her scant record of achievements, her capacity, and her campaign in 2024, how is this possible? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would be a better choice. On the Republican side, Vance is the front-runner, as expected, but there are far more other options than on the Democratic side (DeSantis, Kennedy, Gabbard, to name a few). Then: flowers are negatively charged, bees become positively charged while flying, such that when bees arrive at flowers, pollen leaps on to bees. We discuss sensory modalities, communication between pollinators and pollen distributors, and how environmental EMF might disrupt such systems.*****Our sponsors:Ridge: Upgrade your wallet today! SEASON 4 EPISODE 81: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (3:00) SPECIAL COMMENT: "Donald Trump Is Losing His Mind." It's the headline on a column in perhaps the most prominent MAGA magazine headline. It's not me saying it this time. Not Jimmy Kimmel. Not George Conway. Not a psychiatrist. The Washington Examiner: “Donald Trump Is Losing His Mind.” Why? Just because he’s also losing IRAN? Just because he’s COMPARING Iran to Vietnam (which he dodged)? Just because he threatened to go General Sherman on Teheran? Just because he's just announced you are no longer ALLOWED to CRITICIZE him ABOUT Iran? “Donald Trump Is Losing His Mind” writes The Washington Examiner - guess that makes it unanimous (and there is now polling on this!) ALSO: House Democrats want Kash Patel to take an alcoholism screening test. His choices amount to: a) ARE you an alcoholic? b) Are you so FULL of alcohol you’re at risk of bursting into flames, or c) are you J. Edgar Boozer. AND about the White House Correspondents Dinner Saturday. The Correspondents Association is obeying in advance to Trump, calling him an "honoree" and welcoming his rats like Brendan Carr and Stephen Miller. If you’re attending this dinner, and you are not planning to storm out or otherwise using this rare opportunity to protest Trump’s presence, you’re not only a traitor to JOURNALISM, you’re a traitor to America. B-Block (36:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Trump's "National Garden Of Heroes" with 250 statues of everybody from Elvis to Whittaker Chambers is dumb enough. What happens when they forget to order the statues? Interior Secretary Burgum wants Theodore Roosevelt in the pro football Hall of Fame even though there wasn't pro football while T.R. was alive. And new Congressman Clay Fuller says he was only joking when he said Georgia was named after George Washington. C-Block (45:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Talking about dinner in DC Saturday (The White House Correspondents) led me to mention my disastrous dates last century with Laura Ingraham on social media and there was considerable disbelief so it's time to tell that story.
