While it has been a year for our hero Andor, it has been almost two or more for our beloved co-host AJ. We have him setup to record remotely now and hopefully that will mean we get to hear his opinion on the latest from Disney star wars intellectual properties. Speaking of, we all just re-watched Andor. By far the most anticipated Star Wars show to return to the digital steaming platform, Andor once again depicts the series of events that lead up to the theatrical debut of the character in rogue one. my goodness, did Disney spend a lot of money on the sets for this season! Everything you see, looks like it's right in front of the camera. Not that there were not any digital effects to fill in the gaps but, the series continues to put an impeccable shine and levels of grit and dirt where needed to get the audience to feel what the characters are feeling in a given moment. Initially, I was not a big fan of this episode. Yes, the action with the tie advanced was very cool, lots of explosions, Michael Bay etc. however, the story line with Maya Pei brigade that take Andor hostage did not do much for me. I just found their immature bickering to be annoying and it took me out of the story. Their dialog did not seem to match Star Wars, if that makes sense. Even though I did not appreciate these scenes as much, that meant I got to appreciate the scenes with Luthen, Mon Mothma, Vel, Bix, Brasso and the rest of the cast who returned for the second season. Speaking of returning characters, Dedra is back! As evil as she is under the surface it a fascinating to see how she moves about her environment and how she thinks. She has a job to do and if she were on the other side of the war she might be even more fanatical than Saw Guerrera. Scenes with her and Major Partagaz and other imperials were some of the best. especially for the first episode of the series. You see how casually the empire discussing committing #genocide to achieve their goals all while calculating how they are going to manipulate public opinion. It is pure evil but, they discuss it like it is a normal business meeting and they have do what their client wants and manage the outcome. Thank you for listening. Please comment on your thoughts on the episode. -Luca Visit the blog https://starwarsrewatchpodcast.wordpr...Join us on Discord / discord Tweet us https://x.com/SWRewatchPodSubscribe on YouTube / @star_warsre-watchpodcast Subscribe on Apple Podcasts https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast...Subscribe on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/01A7kKh...Email us at StarWarsRewatchPodcast@gmail.com#StarWars #Andor #StarWarsPodcast #CassianAndor #Kanari #Backstory #StellanSkarsgard #PodcastHumor #SgtBulldog #DramaticEnding #ScrapYard #StarWarsFandom #SciFiPodcast #GeekCulture #PodcastLife #StarWarsFans #StarWarsCommunity #BingeWatch #StreamingNow #DisneyPlus #PodcastDiscussion #SWRewatchPod #GalacticJourney #StarWarsSeries #Fandom #SpaceOpera #NewEpisode #WatchAlong #SciFiDrama #CharacterDevelopment #ShowNotes

Re-Watch Podcast Andor Episode xi Daughter of Ferrix Apologies for the delay in publishing. Mike and I recorded this Sunday but, like I've said previously, I need 24hrs to process what I just watched. This time I needed a bit longer and even skimmed the episode before writing this so it was once again fresh in my mind. This episode was incredible. It starts off with a bit of scare now that Cassian and Melshi are on foot trying to escape Narkina 5. The ISB still has Bix in custody and is still trying extract as much info out of her as humanly possible. Marva has died and now funeral arrangements are being made. Vel meets with Kleya and passes her info that Cassian's mother has died in hopes this will help draw him back to Ferrix. Vel is learning that Mon Mothma's daughter into some weird cult from their home world of Chandrila. She also finds out how much money Mon Mothma needs to clear before Imperial Audits discover the discrepancy. I'll say it again. The back and forth about the money is taking too long to figure out and I'm losing interest. They find a guy to help who finds another less legit guy. Are they dragging out this story to make 12 episodes or was this 4th party banking system really necessary to hid Mon Mothma's disloyalty? Shouldn't Vel be the one in dire need of a way to launder 40,000,000 stolen Imperial Credits? Not only that, she needs somewhere to physically hide them too. Wouldn't laundering the 40,000,000 in hard currency a bigger problem than a mere 400,000? Seems kinda odd but, I guess it's more important for this not to happen to an Imperial Senator versus some rich girl from Chandrila who has not been implicated in the heist on Aldhani. Of course Karn is dragged back into the story. He's tipped off by his old bulldog sergeant who's now a working in a durasteel foundry that Andor's mother has passed away. So now he's on his way back to potentially intercept him. Luthen also meets again with Saw Guerrera who's eagerly decided to join Kreegyr's assault on the power station at Spellhouse. Luthen warns him he's walking into trap and Saw utters one of the best lines in series. The end of the episode is a feast for the eyes and ears. After leaving the Fondor system, Luthen is interdicted by a what is called and Cantwell-Class "Arrestor Cruiser." He destroys this ships nose mounted tractor beam with a rear mounted flechette launcher on top half of the hull of his ship. This is not what a tractor beam looks like! As far as I know they've never been pictured in any media. Expanded universe or otherwise. I can think of one instance in a comic book of a tractor beam operator failing to pull Luke Skywalkers X-Wing into the hanger Grand Admiral Thrawn's Star Destroyer. However, we're never shown in the comic or the corresponding novel, what the actual device looks like. I'm running out of room and can't bitch about tractor beams anymore. Please check twitter for picture of Interdictor Class Star Destroyer. Thanks for listening. Look forward to our podcast on Mandalorian Seaons 3. Dan Madsen is the man who launched Star Wars Insider Magazine, created Star Wars Celebration and ran the official fan club. He even had to the opportunity to do what most fans dream of when he appeared in THE PHANTOM MENACE as Dams Denna. His footprint on Star Wars fandom is undeniable and we are honored to welcome Dan back to RFR. Dan shares great stories about his interviews with George Lucas and Rick McCallum, the excitement of the hype leading up to the release of Episode I, and the challenges of running the first-ever Star Wars Celebration. Plus, an Outrageous Unthinkable news story featuring an angry ex-boyfriend seeking revenge via Chewbacca impersonations, and we present the world premiere of a killer industrial metal tribute to Saw Guerrera.
Ro and Brad talk about how propaganda in Star Wars worked between the two messages carried through by the Empire and it's counterpart message by the Rebel Alliance. Each had it's own agenda to portray the other in a bad light. Brad gives us a little history lesson on the roots of real world propaganda and how it evolved to something that to this day carries a negative connotation. We explore how the Empire aligned itself as a force for galactic 'law and order' versus the terrorist forces of the Rebel Alliance through the actions of rebel agents such as Luke Skywalker and the most extremist operative Saw Guerrera and how each shaped the image of the Rebellion. The Empire was into denial and the Rebels were overpowered due to the secret project that was well underway as we join the story in a New Hope. But aren't 'rebellions built on hope?' We hope you enjoy this critical analysis of "propaganda' in a galaxy far, far away!
Oscar Isaac is hitting the talk show circuit promoting his new Netflix film, but everyone wants to hear him talk about STAR WARS EPISODE IX. We review the talking points Oscar has been throwing out there in interviews and analyze what he’s saying about the film, most notably, the end of the Skywalker Saga. We’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day Star Wars style as Jason quizzes us on Irish actors in the saga. The fallout from the Jedi Coup d’etat debate continues on the RFR Voice Mail Hotline, and we have audio from Dave Filoni and the REVENGE OF THE SITH audiobook to present as evidence. Plus, new info about the opening of STAR WARS: GALAXY’S EDGE from Bob Iger, Star Wars Resistance Season One winds down, Saw Guerrera, and Shorty Robe Luke.
We push deeper into season four of STAR WARS REBELS with the exciting two-parter "In The Name of The Rebellion". Jason Swank returns to moderate the conversation for this unpredictable episode of Declassified recorded live and featuring listener calls. With the action taking us to Yavin IV and beyond, we break down the story, the characters, and the action. Saw Guerrera's return means a shake up for both The Empire and The Rebellion, and we analyze the effect his presence has on the members of The Ghost crew and the war itself.

In this week's episode, the Z2 doesn't talk about Rogue One even though we all saw it as we are going to save that discussion for a later episode. However, we do talk about things that lead into Rogue One, such as Star Wars: Rebels which will have Saw Guerrera return for an episode which explains some things about his character in the movie. We talk about some exciting DC movie news as Ocean Master has been cast for the Aquaman movie, Gotham City Sirens is a go, and The Batman is confirmed for 2018. We keep the news segment short this week in order for Zach to talk about Chronicle since he's on a Max Landis high as of late, and he talks about the leaked script for Chronicle 2 that may have happened if things hadn't gone south for Max Landis and Josh Trank. We also have Z2 Comic Book Book Club this week, after finally getting around to reading We 3 by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Frank Quietly. We give our thoughts on this very brutal and heartbreaking story about good dogs, how we view animals as a society and how this book broke our hearts. As always, if you want to help out the show you can do so by leaving us a little rating or review to let us know what you think, and it helps our visibility.
