Today, I am pleased to welcome Craig Armstrong, Managing Partner of Veridian, a Miami-based tax, audit, accounting, and advisory firm. Craig has over 25 years of public accounting experience, including serving clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local or middle market companies, as well as high net worth family offices and individuals. He began his career with the firm of Williams, Cox, Weidner, and Cox in Tallahassee, Florida, and held prior roles as Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting Special Projects with Ryder System, Inc. and South Florida Site Leader for audits of employee benefit plans at PwC in Miami. Craig co-founded CAPA, a certified public accounting firm in 2004 and merged with Hancock Askew in 2020 prior to forming Veridian in 2025. He serves on the audit and finance committee of the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami and is a member of the University of Miami's School of Business Accounting Advisory Board. Guyonne de Montjou est écrivaine et journaliste. Grand Reporter au Figaro Magazine, présentatrice de l'émission Libre à vous du Figaro Live, après avoir vécu des expériences très riches pour les rédactions de France Inter, de LCI, de BFMTV, la Revue des Deux Mondes, comme l'agence CAPA où elle était reporter, spécialiste des questions internationales. En 2006, Guyonne de Montjou a publié Mar Moussa, un monastère un homme un désert. Le fruit de sa rencontre avec Paolo Dall'Oglio, un homme extraordinaire et haut en couleurs. À la rencontre du désert, de l'Islam, de la Syrie, un Charles de Foucauld du 21ème siècle qui a consacré sa vie au dialogue entre les musulmans et les chrétiens. Guyonne de Montjou témoigne comment cette rencontre a bouleversé sa vie. L'histoire de Paolo Dall'Oglio est indissociable de celle de Mar Moussa. Au cœur de la Syrie, un monastère qui remonte aux premiers siècles du Christianisme, un lieu exceptionnel qui a transmis à Paolo toute « l'histoire de l'Orient blessé et béni ». Il a restauré ce monastère en ruine, réveillé des fresques aux couleurs admirables et d'une « abondance indécente au milieu du désert ». Surtout, avec sa vision d'un « monastère nuptial », il a recréé un lieu de culte et de prière avec le désir d'y accueillir ensemble des moines et des moniales, comme ce fut le cas jusqu'au XVème siècle. Débordante de vie, Guyonne de Montjou nous transmet ce feu ardent qu'elle a reçu de Paolo Dall'Oglio, le même qui continue d'animer aujourd'hui Mar Moussa, douze années après l'enlèvement du prêtre italien qui n'a jamais été retrouvé depuis. Avec elle, nous découvrons un homme et un lieu qui nous transmettent un message brûlant, alors que notre monde est la proie de plus en plus de tourments. On the morning of June 6th, 1944, war photographer Robert Capa waded ashore on Omaha Beach during the Allied landings in Normandy. What happened next became the stuff of legend: under withering fire, Capa supposedly captured over a hundred photographs of the chaos and courage of D-Day, only for all but eleven to be lost in a darkroom accident. These surviving images, the so-called “Magnificent Eleven,” helped define the visual memory of D-Day and cemented Capa's reputation as the greatest war photographer of the 20th century. But what if the story we've long accepted isn't entirely true? In his book Back into Focus: The Real Story of Robert Capa's D-Day, Charles Herrick takes a forensic look at the events of that day, unraveling inconsistencies in Capa's own account and challenging the myths that have grown around his legacy. Drawing on official military records, eyewitness testimony, and detailed photo analysis, Herrick offers a new—and at times controversial—perspective on one of the most iconic moments in photojournalism history. Desde joven Brigida mostro una gran devoción religioas y una gran inclinación para ayudar a los necesitados. Cuando fue adulta Brigida decidio consagra su vida a la religión y debido a esto decidio construir un convento en la región de Leinster. En aquel tiempo el rey de Leinster era un hombre conocido por su avaricia y por su paganismo. Pero Brigida sabía que el era el dueño de todos los terrenos que ella podría utilizar para la construcción de su convento. Decidida se presento ante el rey de Leinster y con toda calma le pidió que le donara un terreno. El rey que no era muy afecto a la religión simplemente se negó a la petición y ordeno que retiraran a la mujer de su vista. Cierto día, la Santa tuvo una idea para que este rey escarmentara por su codicia, así que de nuevo  se dirigió al rey solicitándole que le concediera solamente  la tierra que pudiera cubrir su capa. A pesar de sus recelos, el rey cansado de la petición y solamente para zafarse definitivamente de Brigida acepto que le daría el área que la capa de la santa cubriera.La santa pues cito al rey a lo alto de una pequeña colina en la planicie de Curragh en el condado de Kildare. Allí apareció el rey un poco curioso ya que sabía que con el área que ocupara una capa nunca se podría construir un convento.  Allí frente al rey Brigida se quito su capa y la entrego a cuatro asistentes que llevaba consigo. Cada una de las asistentes tomo una punta de la capa y a la orden de Brigida comenzaron a jalar y a caminar en cada una de los puntos cardinales, a medida que las asistentes caminaban la prenda de la que estaba hecha la capa se iba extendiendo y extendiendo aumentando su área con cada minuto que pasaba. El rey asombrado veía como la pequeña capa iba aumentando su tamaño de forma inesperado y veía como otras mujeres se unian a la otras ayudando a tirar más y más la tela de la capa. Allí en medio de la planicie de Curragh la sombra creada por la capa cubria ya casi la mitad del área de aquel amplio terreno y el rey no comprendía como su promesa se convertia en una pesadilla. El rey consternado preguntó a la que luego seria  Santa Brígida qué estaba ocu­rriendo. La Santa le dirigió una de sus miradas más duras y le contestó que estaba cubriendo con su capa todo su territorio, para cas­tigarle por su inmensa mezquindad. El rey sobresaltado se dio cuenta de que el enojo de la Santa podía ser muy peligroso, por lo que accedió a darle una parcela de terreno y a ser más generoso en el futuro.Santa Brígida asintió no sin antes advertirle que si en alguna ocasión volvía a sus antiguos hábitos, le recordaría las virtudes elásticas de su capa.Dicen que fue tanto el impacto que tuvo aquel milagro sobre la vida del rey que este no solo dono el terreno sino que se convirtió al catolicismo.  Y así después de una vida de ayuda a los damnificados Brigida fundo su propio convento desde donde se dice que curaba a los enfermos y llevo a irlanda el catolicismo y se convirtió en santa en el siglo VII y se convirtió en su santa patrona.
