Rare is the professional athlete who plays his entire Hall Of Fame career in his hometown. For 19 years, Barry Larkin did just that, playing for the Cincinnati Reds. His career path took him from a leadoff hitter setting the table, to an RBI man in the heart of the order, with stops up and down the lineup. Along the way Barry Larkin was selected to 12 All Star games, won 9 Silver Slugger Awards, three Gold Gloves, a National League MVP, an Olympic Silver Medal and a World Championship. He was a key ingrediant in the evolution of the Shortstop position, particularly in the National League before inter-league play, combining steady hitting, power, speed and stellar defense. This week we will be discussing one of the revolutionary Shortstops in the game's history; the great Barry Larkin. #BarryLarkin #CincinnatiReds #UniversityOfMichigan #GeneBarrett #KurtStillwell #DaveParker #EricDavis #PeteRose #MargeSchott #BoSchembechler #DaveConcepcion #ChrisSabo

Remember This Crap's tour around the diamond has reached shortstop. Huey is back to help talk about the greatest (and Larry Bowa) Cubs shortstops in history. As always, the guys go all the way back to the 19th century and work their way up to the modern day. The Cubs, of course, have one of the greatest shortstops in baseball history to their credit, and they have another Hall of Famer who owes most of it a poem. The Cubs have had some really good shortstops and long stretches of bad. Recent years have been pretty good. Let's dive and remember some shortstop crap.
Don't look now but Anthony Volpe is starting to push his way into the conversation of the game's best Shortstops - and not just on the defensive side of the ball. Case gives us the reasons as to why. Alex Cora pointed the finger directly to himself as to what's been going wrong for the Boston Red Sox so far this season. Sean has his own take on what the Sox need to get better at -and get better at fast. Plus, a very, very cool announcement from Sean regarding the Savannah Bananas that you're not gonna wanna miss! This week's biopic is on the greatest player in Brewers history, Robin Yount. Robin played on the competitive edge, and left everything on the field during his 20 year playing career.
